Jet Fun Fly 2026This week join the guys as they send AZ Mike out to Chino Valley Flyers Jet Fun Fly. Chino Valley is located just north of the Prescott,AZ and has a beautiful flying field complete with paved runway and wonderful mountain views. The event was a little smaller than the club wanted but it allowed everyone to fly as often as they wished and some awesome turbine and EDF jets were present. The heat was upon us but everyone had a great time and some good flights. Take a video tour with the hosts as they share the visit with everyone. Arizona Scale Aviation Airshow 2026Join the guys this week as they attend the Arizona Scale Aviation Airshow (formally Warbirds and Classics) in Phoenix AZ. AK Mike and Shannon G attended the event and Jay joined them from the studio. The event was loads of fun and lots of very cool airplanes were at the field. Even though it was over 100 degrees everyone had a great time and stayed cool. The dinners were great and the auction was very good for AZ Mike. AZEF 2026This week we join the guys as they all attend the Arizona Electric Festival in Mesa, AZ. We are pleased this year to have Jay and AK Mike join us as we enjoy the festivities and fun here on these sunny AZ days. Over 50 pilots were registered and there were some great airplanes on the flight line. Join the guys as they discuss some of ones they like the best and which ones had great flights. Although we didn’t do as much flying as in years past…due to AZ Mikes fleet reduction incident we had just as much fun chatting with new people and old friends. We had so much fun just hanging out with our listeners we totally forgot about flying..well maybe not totally….we got to fly the T28 Trojan a few times and had a blast during the noon show flying with the whole gaggle. Thanks to the entire AZEF staff for always putting up with us and making us a part of this wonderful event. Cant wait till next year!
Winter Warbirds 2026Join the guys this week as they attend Winter Warbirds 2026 in Phoenix, AZ. This years events were blessed with great weather and 88+ pilots who brought out their gear to fly. Pacific Jets brought their F-22 and F-18 and Banana Hobby brought out the JetRuler Gripen Jet. Also on hand was Global Jet Club P-47 in the black and silver scheme that they debuted at last years event. Also out this year was the T38 that made an incredible showing. With great weather and great pilots the event was a huge success. Everyone had a blast and the airplanes were amazing.
Welcome Home MikeThis week we are lucky enough to have AZ Mike join us again on the podcast. We are sorry we missed our first episode of the year but Mike explains what happened during the holidays and brings us up to speed on his health and situation. As tragic as these events were we are so glad to have Mike with us and lucky that things all lined up the way they did, it was truly divine intervention. Thank you so much for the outpouring of support for Mike it is truly amazing and we know he truly appreciates it from the bottom of his heart. Which by the way is on the mend….Thanks for joining us and we look forward to your comments.

SVF Swap Meet 2025This weeks episode follows AZ Mike as he attends the Sun Valley Flyers annual Swap Meet at his home field. 37 Annual Arizona Jet RallyJoin the guys this week as they attend the 37th annual Mesa Jet Rally 2025. AZ Mike , Shannon and AK Mike are in attendance. Lots of Rain and Lots of Jets allowed all to have a great time and the pilot group was even bigger than last year. Despite the cold and rainy weather the 4 days of this years Jet Rally were loaded with Fun and Flights for all. Shannon walked away with an award and every pilot got a prize so it was a great time had by all. On day 4 we were able to get Jay on from the studio and join us for the wrap up of this years event. As always this event is put on by the Holly Springs Skyhawks Radio Control Group to help the Megs Smiles Foundation. They do a great job working with the city and having multiple RC areas going at the same time. The public is always invited and this year lots of people were in attendance. We were lucky to have AK Mike and Jay attend this year and be able to meet up after the event for dinner and conversation on the days activities. Troubleshoot your EquipmentThis week we join the guys as they recount the JMEFF event and new airplanes that were flown , although they did not get the chance to attend they got good reports that everything went well. We also Discuss the upcoming Holly Springs Skyhawks event , Wings over Springs, which helps fund the Meg’s Smile foundation. Finally we dive into the risks of picking up used equipment and some of the troubleshooting tips we all use to find problems on the bench. Special thanks to Scott Berryman who inspired this episode with his call to AZ Mike for help with an ESC not initializing. EFlight AB320neoAs the Temp hits 118 degrees here in Phoenix we have moved to indoor building instead of flying. With Summer upon us it gives us a chance to catch up on our building skills as we beat the heat and get ready for the Fall season. AZ Mike has been working on Scotts F-86 Saber Jet while Jay is still unpacking and getting things organized, while Shannon is working on his fleet and on occasion heads out to the filed for a quick flight with the Club members. But the big news is the New Eflight Airbus 320Neo 64mm EDF that was just announced today. We are excited to see the upgrades that were added to this model and we give our take on the new Airframe that will be shipping in September. Excited to see the New Paint schemes that will come out for this airframe.
Welcome Back JayJoin the guys this week as we welcome back Jay from his new location. Its been a few weeks since he has been on the move but he is finally settled in and reveals his new location and chats with us about the move. We were able to catch him only a few days into the new home so most of his RC stuff is still in boxes….But it will only be a matter of time before he hits road to find his new field. Summer Flying This week we revisit the follow up from the Big Jolt 2 trip that Shannon and the guys took. The flying was great but the trip home held some suprises as well. Shannon reviews the Gwillikers foam cradles that he used for the T28 trojan. AK Mike gets his runway extended and Jay is unpacking in his new Place and has promised to be on our next episode.
Big Jolt 2025Welcome to the Parkflyer Podcast for this weeks episode we start in the studio as Shannon Prepares for Big Jolt out in California. We want to thank Shannon for attending the event and bringing us coverage from the event with Craig and Matt in tow. Jreat fun was had by all and despite the mishaps the weekend turned out great. The best paint job was an SR71 painted in FedEx colors along with the Alaskan Salmon paint job that everyone really enjoyed. Our Heartfelt sorrow for our buddy Harry who lost one of his airframes this weekend, sorry to hear about that….Lots of great airplanes were in attendance and some great flying by all the pilots participating. Shannon pointed out that some of the larger Turbine size airframes were converted into EDF and flew really well. Thanks to everyone who participated and to all the pilots who support our podcast.

This type of racing is big in the UK and is just catching on here due to the fact that you can 3D Print the airplanes. Consendo Maiden This week Jay takes us through his Birthday Present maiden of the UMX Consendo. The initial build took just a few min to attach wires and batteries and program the radio. The inital flight was easy and fun and even with the wind was a solid flyer. Knowing that this plane will be a go to for any day at the field Jay orders more 3S batteries. AK Mike swings in to town to see Jay and they take the consendo out to the field along with AK Mikes UMX Pitts. Wanting to fly off pavement they both decide to fly at a diffrent location and picked a great spot with a hard surface, and lots of trees. Second Hand Planes This week join the guys as they discuss purchasing second hand airplanes. Gunsmoke 2024This week we recount Shannons trip to Gunsmoke 2024. Shannon takes us through getting his airplane ready and what it took to compete in this years event. The event was hosted by Arizona Model Aviators in Mesa, AZ and had about 13 pilots competing Lots of fun to be had and the T-28 was a winner. Michael finished the motion RC OV-10 that he received as a gift and is ready for the maiden. Jay asked about syncing the motors on a multi engine airplane and the OV-10 did sync up correctly. Michael painted the rocket tips on the model to get slightly more scale They turned out great. Warbirds and Classics AZ This week we join AZ Mike and Shannon at the warbirds and classics 2024 held here in Phoenix, AZ. We are joined by special guest Scott Berryman from Boulder, CO. This is Scotts first warbirds and classics event and we discuss our favorite planes and the flying we were able to do and some of the amazing things we saw during the event. During our show some event goers decided to ground test a Panther turbine in the background and tried to overpower our show! But we pushed through it. AZEF 2024 – Part 2 Join the guys as they wrap up this years AZEF. This week was fantastic and lots of flying by the guys. Shannon wraps up the AZEF and touches on the highlights of the weekend. Pilot raffle was a huge win for everyone and our Hosts won airplanes. This year was filled with great fun, friends and flying. AZ Mike wins an award and is featured on the news all weekend with the cessna flight.
AZEF 2024 – Part 1 Welcome to the AZEF. This is the 20th year of this event and we are excited to be a part of the festivities. Day one was spent setting up and dodging winds and weather and finishing up putting all the aircraft together and charging batteries. This year we added some video to our podcast over on our you tube channel and spent the day testing it out and trying to get it all to work. So this episode starts us on a very busy second day. Friday morning channel 10 the local Fox news, did a spot for us on the event and Michael flew several airplanes for them as B roll so they could use it in their broadcast. The Parkflyer Podcast was all over the news with our new gear and as it turned out we had a massive turnout of spectators who all sought us out to ask questions since they saw our staff all over the TV. Fun was had by all and lots of flying and running around covering questions and answer sessions the day just flew by….Join us as we start and finish the day on this episode and check out our coverage of the event on our you tube channel.
Avanti S V2 This week we discuss the upgrades to the Avanti S version 2. One of our listeners, Scott, purchased an Avanti S from motion RC and had it shipped to AZ Mikes place for a quick build and set up. After opening the box and putting it all together we noticed a few upgrades from version one. After a little research it has come to our attention that there have been several upgrades to this version over the last, all of which are excellent. AZ Mike walks us through the upgrades and the simplistic build of the PNP version.

Scale Masters was held in Phoenix AZ and Shannon picked up a new aircraft to compete with this go around. How do I get a FRIAThis week we join the guys with Special Guest Gary J Porter.. Join Shannon and Gary as they discuss how they got their FRIA and the application and approval process. Remote ID is here and although it has been postponed for six months people are still waiting for their FRIA approval. Garry helps us understand the process and how to get the paperwork through with the help of the AMA. It seems that patience is the key to approval. Flying the DolphinThis week we join the guys as they discuss Jim's new Dolphin gas airplane. As you may know version one of the Dolphin met its demise a few months ago and Jim has been looking for a new one but had no luck. AZ Mike found an Ebay ad that said they had some available and forwarded it over. In just a few days Jim received his new plane, but found out it was a V2 and had some slight differences. Jay helps Jim get the Dolphin ready for maiden but the motor won't start and the maiden gets scrapped. After some time on the bench the problem is resolved and back to the field they go to try it again. Success! the dolphin flys again and jay has a successful maiden and Jim gets to take it up a few times as well. Congratulations to both the guys for a successful day at the field.
Shannon in Hawaii
This week join the guys as they discuss Shannons trip to Hawaii. We want to reach out to all the victims on Maui that have lost their homes and to those that have lost loved ones and share our deepest heartfelt sorrow. .We will keep everyone on that island in our prayers and hope and pray for a speedy recovery and know that our hearts are with those suffering at this time. Shannon was on the island of Ohau visiting family and in his off time he was able to visit Pearl Harbor. Join us as we hear his adventures and all the cool planes he was able to see and things he was able to do this trip. An RC event is held there anually on the field and usually have over 40,000 visitors. Although it was not going on this time around shannon suggests we take a trip over there and do our podcast from the event!. The guys are inclined to agree! Jay gets to fly with Jim again after he and AZ Mike's visit and recounts some of the ups and downs during the day.
AZ Mike In Texas
AZ Mike gets lucky as work brings him into Austin. Jay oversleeps and leaves Mike at the airport waiting but recovers in time to get hm back for some fun. Mike looks over the Ultra Mini Stick and suggests some repairs. After fixing it dinner was served and the guys headed to the field to test out the repairs and fly the Bison. AZ Mike test flys the Bison to see if any changes need to be made. As the darkness sets in the bright LED's allowed the guys to fly well after dark. Fun all around and even though it was a quick trip lots was accomplished. Join us as the guys laugh about the fun everyone had during AZ Mike's stay.
Jay's Day at the field
Join the guys as they discuss Jays day at the field. Jay gets to fly the Sopwith Camel again and with no wind has a great time puttering around the sky. Flying the camel proves to be challenge but the finish is a greaser!. Jim takes the dolphin up again but much to his dismay it had other plans. Always look over your planes before you fly something is always either loose or disconnected or in this case cut wires. Shannon takes us through what it takes to compete in Gun Smoke 2023 a Scale Masters Qualifier. This one will be held at the end of this month at Shannons field in Mesa AZ.
AEF 2023 Review Join the guys as they review the weekend fun at the AZEF 2023 with Jay and discuss meeting some new friends at the field. During the night fly Montana and Rochelle showed up looking for the event and wound up hanging out with us for a little bit Saturday night. Sunday morning they once again came by the field and AZ Mike gets to test fly the volantex micro planes from Amazon and get it trimmed out and set up. Having new folks get interested in flying RC is always exciting and this is no exception.
Arizona Electric Festival Part 2 Join the guys as they discuss Saturdays events at the AEF 2023. Saturday was nice weather and good flying had by all. Pilot raffle was fantastic and everyone received something. We wrap up the weekend with a night fly and look forward to next year.

HELLO 2023Welcome to 2023 everyone. This year we have set New Years resolutions to build more airplanes and fly more at our fields. We have several events coming up….First up is Winter Warbirds held at Sun Valley Flyers club here in sunny Phoenix, AZ. Followed by the AZEF first week in February. But to start off the year AK Mike and Jay decided to tackle the new landing gear on the fun cub. Jays Fun Cub has had the original landing gear on it and boy has it been through the ringer. He has tried everything to fix it up but over time they still give him problems. AK Mike heads down to visit and the two of them decide to really dig into a solution. After several hours of trouble shooting and cyphering and designing they finally came up with a viable solution. This episode recounts the efforts the two of them went through and what was a success and what needed to be changed….
SO Long 2022Well the year has come an gone and the guys say goodby to 2022. Michael and Jay discuss the fact that the years are clipping along at a faster pace as they get older. Michael shows off his addition to the turbine gear installed on the L39. Then they discuss working with Carbon fiber plates. ELECTRIC MOTOR REPAIR

Doing correct preflights at the house and field will make your day go well and keep your planes in shape. The article brought out the fact that you should be prepared to physically and mentally fly.

It a story about a youth who has a love of RC flying and is using it to get a scholarship into college. At his local flying field he meets a new member who has "military grade" RC aircraft and thinks he maybe up to no good but he has no proof and nobody other than his closest flying buddies will believe him.

This is the 6th year we have attended with the podcast and we are once again excited to see everyone and participate in the activities. In this episode we chat with contest director Shannon Gallagher. We also get a chance to discuss the changes to the large cessna with Big Mike Calloway. We wrap up the night with the night fly and hit the sack for the following day.
Most guys want a new RC plane or gear for Christmas but the FAA gave all of us new regulations instead! The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) released final rules for Unmanned Aircraft (UA) in part 107. The new rules will require Remote Identification (Remote ID) of drones and allow operators of small drones to fly over people and at night under certain conditions. The boys will discuss highlights that they like and those that they have concerns.

This episode we invite Greg Tanous on the show to discuss his lifetime supply of Depron Foam. Greg is a toy designer that has built toys for some of the major manufactures and done flyable models for the movie industry. He is currently designing a flying wing suit that will be available on his website in the near future. He was able to secure the distribution of Depron for the US and we are excited to have him join us to discuss the stories involved in making this happen.
Doug Leroy, current President of the Holly Springs Skyhawks Radio Control Group is back with a new bundle of Joy! Covid has driven him crazy from isolation and has made him buy a 3D printer. Doug gives a great beginners perspective on getting a one. He also explains that the pandemic has been great for his club and his youth membership is at a record high! The boys find out all the dirt on the Skyhawks since their visit last year.
AZ Mike and Jay are fortunate to have a guest this week. Steve Wattenberg, president of Watervliet Wind Warriors home of the Capital Regions best Indoor Flying Site. They talk to Steve about his trip to the latest NEAT Fair in New York and his unique club.

Good friend to the podcast Philip Hinkle has good luck scoring a free plane (FMS Typhoon) but on the maiden he has a slight mishap that cracks the fuselage. Philip was undaunted and thought what would the Parkfliers do? Philip gives his all to restore the plane and give it a re-remaiden.. You can see the results at his channel, "Will it Fly. AZ Mike has moved his mobile bunker to his other secret location outside Jays door! The boys have some explosive fun with a 3D printed plane that fell into their laps! Mike helps Jay get over some bad flying habits and apprehension flying his L-39.
AZ Mike is in his secondary bunker located next to Cheyenne Mountain Complex and notices that his L-39 having problems flying in Colorado. We'll explore issues with high density altitude and Mikes trip to the rocky mountain state.

Things are starting to return to "semi-normal". Texas has started opening up the state and are letting folks move around. The boys had some credit on their long distance calling card and gave "AJ" the Marketing Director of SonicModell/ZOHD a call at his office in Guangdong China! Jay, AK Mike talked about their favorite planes in their fleet ( Nano Talon, Orbit, Micro Skyhunter, Mini AR. Wing). AJ discusses the differences between the SonicModell and the newer ZOHD products. He also lets the PP listeners in on a new battery line called "Lionpack" that they are releasing this year which long distance FPV'ers will love! These batteries sound great but you do need to get your system tweaked right to get the maximum performance from them. The guys talk about all the factors you need too consider.
The boys crack open the sealed bunker this week to welcome in Tim Walker, former "Angle of Attack" member. Tim fills us in on current events. AZ Mike tells Tim how he won "you call that low?" contest. We have a hoot describing a funny YouTube video that made the rounds with our RC Anti-hero "Frank". We hope everyone is isolated, home and virus free! Jay opened his hermetically sealed bunker to let AK Mike in with a bunch of planes to fix and a broken throttle on a real paramotor. The guys design fixes for the planes using Jay"s 3D printer. AZ Mike goes to the Jet rally in Tucson AZ and sees some cool birds. Later he has a mishap and major repair on his newest 3D plane! AK mike finishes one xmas gift and starts the "chuck glider challenge".
Well day two of our event brings Scott Todd to the show. Scott is a rocket scientist who has some amazing talent taking old Kraft radios and restoring them with all new electronics and making them work with the new modern 2.7ghz receivers. Jay gets in inside look at the radio and we discuss the idea behind taking the old and making it new. Bryce Hatfield from Critical RC also joins us with his new line of FLEXCESSORIES. Critical RC manufactures landing gear and wheels for the Flex Innovations line of aircraft. Its always a good time when Bryce is on the field and you can expect nothing less than full throttle 3D flying and fantastic showmanship. well this week was filled with Special Projects, Michael is putting the final touches on the RC Trailer and Jay got his 3D printer in the mail and man has it been a pain. We got lots of flying in and was able to help Jim trim out some of his airplanes and get Jay comfortable with his new L-39. Hard to believe time is up but the look back over all the experiences and fun brings a laugh or two. Mike heads back to AZ and is able to attend the 1/8th air force event for one last day of flying. This first week has just zipped by for Michael and Jay. With all the ups and downs of getting out to the flying field and having radio problems that was actually easily fixed but a week late, the time has just been to fast. This week the guys are able to head down to San Antonio to the Alamo Radio Control Society and fly with the guys down there. The field is amazing and Bill P, was able to join the broadcast and talk about his field. Its amazing that this club has been around for such a long time and the guys are super fun and have some great stories. Bill Surrat was a great Host to us and let us use his charger because we forgot our adapters for ours….just one more thing to add to the list. We had loads of fun and interview both Bills for our podcast. We spent more time at Jays field and flew some more of Jim's aircraft to help with the set ups. Cant believe its already been a week and this one is well on its way. Join us for our chat about all the things that can happen when trying to get to the field.
As it turns out Michael sent a nice big box down to Jay for his birthday in the form of a Freewing L39. Not wanting Jay to have to go it alone Michael heads down to Texas for a visit and some RC Fun. This is the 15th year for the AZEF and Shannon and his staff did not disappoint. The podcast crew arrived early thursday and participated in the set up and fun fly. Friday was the start of the event and Shannon explains the program and excitement for this year. Big Mike Calloway over from California displays his incredible building skills with his two large scale planes. The 14ft Cessna was the star of the show. Although it arrived in all its glory, we had no idea that it had not been flown. AZ Mike was asked to take it around the pattern for its first flight and it was spectacular as advertised. Big Mike discusses his builds and how he got into the hobby and tells his story. After a long day on the flight line and 3 maiden flights the guys hit the night fly and stay till everyone else turned in for the night. Late night podcasting brings this episode to a close as the guys discuss the days events after a hard day of flying. I know we have talked about this on several podcasts before, but Jay finally gets to talk about his new ASW28 Glider he received from Bangood Hobbies. They recently had a sale and being a good plane broker he sent us all a message with coupons to get the glider on sale. Jay received his within 3 days of order and got busy building and modifying the plane to suit his needs. Happy Halloween everyone!!!....Its Saturday night and it has been a fast and furious fun filled couple of days here in CA and the jets were awesome. Join Michael, Spencer and Barry as they walk back through the event and discuss the Best of the West. Saturday was "lets make a deal" day and there were lots of toys for sale. Several jets were bought and sold and some of the pilots went home with new projects. We were no exception and found a few items we just couldn't leave behind. Lucky for us we had a trailer that could house all the new products coming home with us. With most of the flying complete the banquet was held and lots of awards were given out to lucky winners. The phoenix group took home a few trophies and we were proud to be a part of the whole event. If you have never gone to something like this, it is worth the trip even for the day. Lots to see and plenty of pilots to chat with and lots of photos to take. Special thanks to my co hosts Spencer K and Barry H for putting up with me running around with my podcast equipment bugging them for their time. Everyone had a great time and we are looking forward to the next trip!.
Michael, Spencer and Barry loaded up the trailer and headed out to the Best in the West Jet Rally in Buttonwillow, CA. There were a 161 registered pilots at the event and over 300 aircraft. The days were fast and furious, with lots of fast movers and very impressive scale jets. The Thunderbirds F-16 seemed to be the overall favorite aircraft since there were several models on the flight line almost all the time. The scale B2 was the highlight of the show with several flybys and an emergency landing. overall it was a great event and we spent most of the time headed out to the flight line taking turns flying or spotting for pilots. For as many aircraft that flew during this event we only lost two airframes the entire time. This was quite a feat since 6 jets were in the air at a time almost all day long. The 3D jets were amazing and completed maneuvers that jets shouldn't have been doing and the formation demo team did a fantastic job with that part of the show. We were lucky to have Spencers buddy Mike stopped by on Friday afternoon and joined us on the podcast with his impressions of the event. Join us as we discuss the BITW Jet rally part I.

Michael and Jay talk about trying to fly the Comanchee. It helps to bring the right battery connectors. Flying the comanchee off grass is a bit of a new experience. However the flight did not go as planned and wound up in a fatal crash for this airframe. The guys discuss what might have caused this mishap. Then off to the Hanger 9 P-51 to discuss the weight issue that Jay has tackled with buckshot. The aircraft was built for a glow but Jay has converted it to electric and needs more nose wight. Lucky he has some buckshot laying around to use as weights. Jay talks about the neat idea to make moulds with shot and epoxy. Now that AK Mike lives in Texas he takes the opportunity to drive down and see Jay for the Holiday weekend. AK Mike and Jay spend the week at the flying field with the guys from Jays flying group. The guys recount the fun had by all and discuss some of the mishaps that happened along the way. Jay and AK Mike fly the tuff wings and have a midair collision. Jim over stresses his Zagi and breaks it in half. Lots of fun flying and a few crashes has everyone telling stories.
AK Mike moves to Texas and the team talks about packing your planes for shipment, the benefits of living in the Lower 48, foam planes and batteries in the heat and other various items.
Jay takes a road trip to see the Kids. While there he has the opportunity to visit the Charleston RC Society and visit with Founder Rich Jackson and President Edward Yeash. This week on the Parkflyer Podcast, Michael and Jay have Don Daniels as a guest on the show. Don was hit really hard during the hurricane and lost most of his belongings and RC gear. As the devastation piles up in Houston, Florida and the islands its nice to hear the human side of the story. Don takes the time to share his story and some of the great things he is doing to help others. We appreciate the opportunity to speak with Don during this trying time and enjoy his humor and good will and great attitude in spite of everything going on at this time. In times of trouble people can band together and do great things and Don is a perfect example of what the human spirit can accomplish. Jay and Michael received an email request asking for an explanation on how to pick the proper Motor and ESC combo's. The email came from Jim a gas flyer that on occasion will fly electric and was wondering about converting some of his Glow type airplanes to electric. Michael has several gas airplanes that were converted from the start and flown as electric. The guys discuss the different styles of flying and how to go about measuring the watts of power to get the gas or glow equivalent in your electric conversion. Please look into the regulations for your country and plan accordingly. In the USA you can go to http://www.arrl.org/getting-your-technician-license to research licensing requirements. LEVEL 1: Technician Class License
Exam Requirement: 35-question Technician Written Exam (Element 2). Privileges: All VHF/UHF Amateur bands (frequencies above 30 MHz). Limited operations in certain HF bands.
The FCC Technician License exam covers basic regulations, operating practices and electronics theory, with a focus on VHF and UHF applications. Morse code is not required for this license. With a Technician Class license, you will have all ham radio privileges above 30 MHz. These privileges include the very popular 2-meter band. Many Technician licensees enjoy using small (2 meter) hand-held radios to stay in touch with other hams in their area. Technicians may operate FM voice, digital packet (computers), television, single-sideband voice and several other interesting modes. You can even make international radio contacts via satellites, using relatively simple station equipment. Technician licensees now also have additional privileges on certain HF frequencies. Technicians may also operate on the 80, 40 and 15 meter bands using CW, and on the 10 meter band using CW, voice and digital modes.

Using a good charger and keeping an eye on the batteries will help you stay safe and not burn your house down. Lipo Batteries can be very dangerous if not handled correctly.
