Moses’ life was MARKED by the presence of God. In fact, we see Moses spending time with God more than anything else. In the end, Moses was more concerned with knowing and experiencing God than he was the promised land. Moses needed and wanted the presence of God to be with him and lead him.

Today’s Sermon Big Idea: Moses did what God told him to do, but it ended in failure. This left Moses in a challenging situation. Did He hear from God or not? How do we deal with unfavourable results, when we know God told us to do it? God didn’t come through like Moses thought He would. The miracles happened, but not like Moses wanted them to.

Today’s Sermon Big Idea: God’s purposes requires the right way, the right time and the right person. All of these must come together in order for God to fulfill His purposes in your life. Often we are impatient or get ahead of God and try to make what we believe to be His purposes happen in our lives. When we do this we are circumventing God’s purposes for our lives. Know this – There is a right way, and a right time – and He wants you to become the right person in order to accomplish His purposes in your life.

We have the advantage of seeing Moses' life and learning from his failures and successes. We see that despite Moses and the people, God makes a way for His purpose to prevail.
Did you know there is supernatural power available to you? The problem? It is locked up. We don't access it. The Bible gives us several keys to unlocking this supernatural power in our lives. When it is unlocked there is breakthrough in our lives and an increased faith for the impossible.

We will be spending the next 9 weeks walking through the life and call of Moses. Often we don't get a chance to see the beginning and the end of a life in the Bible. We have the advantage of seeing Moses' life and learning from his failures and successes. We see that despite Moses and the people, God makes a way for His purpose to prevail.
Today we are going to simply look at one of the main themes throughout the story of Moses’ life.

There is a supernatural power that is released through believers when they, by faith, lay their hands on other believers and pray. 01:00 Today we’re talking about unlocking the supernatural power that is available to us all through God, because of Jesus Christ. The great commission is the normal job of a disciple, to raise up more disciples. Discipleship is simply teaching others by example through close relationship. In the last month, we have talked about what the early church did to generate momentum in the right direction. Dr. Luke interviewed people who were there and tried to articulate from his findings what they did. They simply devoted themselves to living by the truth of God's word, to their faith community, and to gathering for worship and prayer.
Now in the month of October and November, we will focus on the RESULTS of that momentum. This is how you can tell if you have spiritual momentum in your life. This is the evidence of that: boldness to share your faith, fear of the Lord, miracles, generosity and money.

In the last month, we have talked about what the early church did to generate momentum in the right direction. Dr. Luke interviewed people who were there and tried to articulate from his findings what they did. They simply devoted themselves to living by the truth of God's word, to their faith community, and to gathering for worship and prayer.
Now in the month of October and November, we will focus on the RESULTS of that momentum. This is how you can tell if you have spiritual momentum in your life. This is the evidence of that: boldness to share your faith, fear of the Lord, miracles, generosity and money.

But, here is the rub... that good choice must be centered on submission to GOD and HIS will for our lives. Relationships aren’t always easy. In fact, they can be downright complicated sometimes. We will talk about how to deal with complicated relationships. We are gonna talk about your friends, in-laws, spouse and your family. Or, maybe you are single and ready to mingle, dating or engaged, in a complicated marriage or you are divorced. Whatever your relationships look like they all have challenges and can be terribly complicated. We will learn how to navigate them properly and keep them healthy. We will learn what God's intention for our relationships are and how we can see it play out in our lives.

Jesus came to earth to help find people who are far from him. The Bible calls them lost. These people are all of us. Every person in this room today is or was lost at some point. Lost people need a loving, Savior. They need to be saved.
Through this story we learn a lot about God and even more about ourselves. We see a beautiful picture of who God really is and how much we need Him in our lives.

They need to be saved. Through the story Jesus tells in Luke 15, we learn a lot about God and even more about ourselves. We are the church. The church founded by Jesus, launched by the Holy Spirit and built by His disciples. Over the years, many people have experienced different forms of the church. Catholic church, house church, inter-denominational churches, lots of different expressions of the church. Today we want to talk about the CHURCH!
We live in a society that is craving community. We want to be needed and want to be able to rely on someone. But, creating a place of community doesn’t just happen. It takes some effort on all of our part. Together we can create a place that has real, authentic community that impacts the lives of people both Christian and non-Christian.
Everything you are going through in life is about your purpose. God has a great plan and purpose for your life. As we end our Joseph series we will finish by talking about how to recognize and fulfill that purpose.
There are a few things that we need to understand when we begin to step into our destiny. When promotion comes there should be some things that are worked into our hearts and minds.
God gave a dream to Joseph when He was 17 years old and He stepped into his destiny when he was 30 and saw it fulfilled when he was 44 years old. God spoke a prophetic word over Joseph’s life, but Joseph was tested before that prophetic word came to pass. Joseph was in a pit for no reason, sold into slavery and no reason, thrown into prison for no reason, and now he sits holding a dream from God a prophetic word from God and wondering if it will ever come to pass.
Great character supports great destiny. God develops His character within us through the things we go through. Romans 5:3–5 gives us a “formula” for developing perseverance and shows us that we can progress from “tribulation” to “hope.”
It instructs us to “glory” (to rejoice) in our difficulties because of what they produce in our hearts. Tribulation produces perseverance, which produces character, which produces hope. When we suffer, our hope should not be that God will deliver us from our circumstances, but that God will walk with us through them.
This week we want to talk about the challenge of perseverance when things hard things happen in our lives. God develops character in our lives when we go through trials. God works character into our lives when we go through trials so that we can fulfill our destiny. There are simple ways we can go through hard times and produce the character God wants for us.
Things started to pick up with Joseph. Things were going well! Then, out of nowhere something happened – the enemy started his plan to derail Joseph. The fulfillment of God’s dream for our life will require an awareness of the enemies scheme and a strategy of our own to conquer him! We can conquer the strategies of the devil!
When Joseph was serving as a slave in Potiphar’s house, he was probably tempted to “take shortcuts” or not totally apply himself to his work. But Joseph chose to honour God by being a good steward and doing things God’s way. Therefore, “The Lord was with him, and he was a successful man” (Genesis 39:23). God wants to prosper us—to “push us forward”—so that we may bless others and help them prosper. We prosper when the favour of God is upon us.

In today's society the roles of men and women are being redefined. God designed men with a specific purpose and role on this earth. Paul ends his letter in 1 Corinthians by challenging men and identifies five ways to become the man God called you to be.
This week we move on to the WHAT of Christianity. After identifying the WHY, Paul moves onto the WHAT, but this WHAT, this MYSTERY is reserved for the mature believers. Therefore, this revelation of the Spirit isn't just for anyone, but rather for those who make that decision to serve Jesus fully. This disciple will receive three incredible revelations from the Spirit.

This week we will look at Paul's opening lines of 1 Corinthians and learn more about who we are as disciples of Jesus. We are the Church of God, we are sanctified by Christ!
How many times have you heard someone say, "The Bible is not relevant for today's culture? It doesn't relate to where we are at in our society and is no longer pertinent to our world." Just read the book of 1 Corinthians and you will find that isn't the case at all. It is up-to-date, current and very relevant. Most of the issues we face today were faced by the Corinthians. Although the world has changed a lot since it was first written the same truths remain.
The issues are imbedded in philosophy, humanism, divisions in the church, sexual immorality in and out of the church, marriage, divorce, being single, relationships between men and women, questionable practices (grey areas), gender roles in the church, homosexuality and the bottom line of love. The book of 1 Corinthians definitely is relevant and addresses many of the issues we are facing today.
In a constantly shifting culture we must understand our biblical world view. It impacts our marriage, sexuality, finances, parenting and ultimately how we conduct our lives. We will learn throughout this series how to live as disciples of Jesus while loving those who are not. We will learn how to be in the world, but not of the world.
The truth is many Christians today only experience "a part" of what Christ intended for His church - the Sunday gathering. We believe there are THREE parts to a local church and today we are going to explore those three parts.

It’s easy to make Christmas about all sorts of great things. It’s easy to make Christmas about trees, lights, presents, hot cocoa, cider, santa, mistletoes and garland. It’s so important that we remember that Christmas is about remembering the Hope that came to earth. Hope entered our world seeking us, wanting to save those of us who are lost. When you and I are without hope, without something bigger than ourselves to live for, we are LOST.
