It's been a long while since I last uploaded an episode for you guys, but I hope you're all doing well.

This episode is my proof of life, having been MIA and just being so busy these past 2-3 months. Also, this is a sort of self-reflection now that I am celebrating yet another birthday. Cheers to another year of life!

Please listen to the episode as I expound more on these realizations/learnings. But here's the complete list, for your reference. Things I learned in life, thus far:

  1. Life is short.

  2. Let go of things you cannot control.

  3. Be kind (to others and to yourself).

  4. Celebrate small victories.

  5. Be genuine in your interactions.

  6. Be honest with yourself.

  7. Stop comparing.

  8. There's not always a correct answer.

  9. Not every one needs to know your business.

  10. Think before - you act, speak, click 😉

  11. Help without expecting anything in return.

  12. There's nothing wrong with asking for help.

  13. Immerse yourself in the arts. -

  14. In your quest for success, don't go walking over other people.

  15. Stick it out. Stand by your decisions.

  16. Stop obsessing over what-ifs and what could-bes.

  17. If you think you're running out of options, think again. Maybe a change in perspective is what you need.

  18. Let reading take you places.

  19. It's okay to feel deeply.

  20. Bad days are welcome.

  21. Fail many times. Fail often. Learn as you go along.

  22. It's okay to be ordinary. 💜

  23. Invest in yourself. - health, education

  24. Laugh from the heart.

  25. We're all different, but not really.

  26. Do not eat only to feel bad afterwards. Haha.

  27. Embrace everything that you are.

  28. Learning never stops.

  29. Walk by faith. ✨

  30. Don't be afraid to start over and start again.

Love and light,

Kristine

Hi there! I hope you are doing well. I am sharing with you this episode, which focuses on my Top 3 takeaways from Andrea Owen's book entitled, How to Stop Feeling Like Sh*t

I honestly have more I want to share about the book, but I want to delve into it in separate episodes so I hope you watch out for that. For now, I am giving you a totally impromptu, top of my mind takeaways from my read. I'm sure you all can relate to it. ;)

Also, this will be part of a new series on WHY YOU SHOULD READ/WATCH... I am going to focus more on books for now, since I am spending most of my time reading these days. These are books that I want to share with you, books that I usually post on my booklist account (IG: @kristinesbooklist). This will allow me the space to provide more insights-the ones I cannot compress in the captions section, hahaha.

This episode springs from a realization I have had earlier today, and it's something I want to share with you in more detail.

I never really thought of the 5 love languages as in terms of self-care. In my mind, it's always directed outwards: for family, for friends, for others.

After reading the article (link down below), I can say I have, recently, done all (receiving gifts and quality time both at the top) except give myself words of affirmation. I don't know why that is exactly but, perhaps I'm just not used to it?

A friend once said to me that I easily give compliments—primarily voicing out what I find good and nice first, while others hurry to criticize. I didn't think much of it then. But now I realized these words of affirmation and encouragement—something so simple, something I allow myself to easily give to others—are things I rarely let myself have.

With this realization, I encourage you to encourage yourself.

I have also left FIVE important words of affirmation within this episode. A little something for you to listen to in case you haven't yet given yourself some words of encouragement today.

I really hope you enjoy this episode, and I'll see you again soon!

For weeks I stayed away from any recording equipment I have at home, and just focused on getting into a good headspace.  I even hated the sound of my own voice, if I am being honest. After taking rest and doing some thinking, I came across Lily Collins' book, Unfiltered. Well, I saw Emily in Paris first before finally deciding to put her book in my reading list. I love love love her there btw. (^^,)v

This book could not have come at such an opportune time. It's exactly what I needed. I can relate to many of Lily's stories, and in this episode, I am sharing with you 4 points, 4 takeaways  from the book which I hope you could keep in mind as you greet 2021.

P.S. I should really update my intro :))

This week, I am joined by talented voiceover artist John Gusayko, or Kuya VC as I call him. He is one of the younger Filipino voiceover artists I look up to, ever since meeting him during my Voiceworx Workshop back in 2018. In this episode, he takes us back to his journey which began from the BPO industry to now voiceover artist. He also shares with us valuable insights on things like work/career hustle, grit, dealing with rejection, finding your voice, and nurturing your talent.

This episode is so important to me because I am also an aspiring voice artist. As you listen to this episode, keep in mind that it's not just you who is learning from Kuya VC, but I am too.

For this week's episode I get to chat with one of my real-life role models, Ate Missy. I've known her for many years now but this will be the first time we'll have a conversation on camera.  Ate Missy is a champion of work-life balance. This is one of the things I admire about her, that she can handle many things at once and strike a much-needed balance. Also, she has recently started her own business, which she will talk to us about in this episode.

Ate Missy shares to us what it means to be an entrepreneur at present, especially with the pandemic that's going on. I hope we all learn something from this short, but insightful episode.

Please also follow and check out her new business: MJ & Co. on Facebook and @mj_co.ph on Instagram.

Hi everyone! Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends in the US!! Thanksgiving reminds me a lot of my roommate (who was from the US) and a few friends from Chiang Mai, Thailand . In 2015, I went there for an exchange program for one whole semester and found a sister & friend in my roommate, Mildred. It was through her that I was able to celebrate my first ever thanksgiving. Well, it was just us and a few friends having dinner, announcing what it was we were grateful for. It couldn't be more perfect.

The small thanksgiving celebration we had made its mark on me, and it made me realize that there may be events/things/situations I disliked during the year, but I also have a lot to be thankful for. That life may be difficult, but it certainly is not all bad. It's like learning how to find the blessing out of every situation--the silver lining, and being thankful for what life has to offer.

This episode I am joined by my boyfriend, Jorenz, as we have a short conversation about the things we are thankful for. This year has been very challenging and a lot has happened so unexpectedly we have little time to process anything. This episode is our small avenue to reflect and, basically, verbalize our thoughts. Please join us by sharing some of the things you are grateful for. Remember, gratitude knows no time and place. You just have to acknowledge it, be aware of it, and hopefully pass it onto others.

Recently I've been reading this novel by Holly Bourne entitled "The Places I've Cried in Public". As of recording, I have yet to finish the book. I think I have around 30 pages left, but so far, the story reminded me of several instances from my much younger years about issues related to emotional manipulation and other red flags that almost overstep my personal boundaries.

So, for this week's episode, we'll tackle relationship red flags and boundaries.  There is no perfect time to discuss this, so we might as well dive into it.  I also touch upon the kinds of boundaries as shared by The Holistic Psychologist. In this conversation, there is no one excluded. We all need to set boundaries in order to have healthy relationships.

Just a side note, I was so immersed in passionate discussion I got slightly emotional somewhere in the middle.

This episode is also available on video . Please check Kristine's Voice: The Podcast on Facebook.

Art is all around us. It comes in different forms. It is a part of our lives. No matter how rigid life sometimes becomes, we can trust art to ground us and remind us that there are wonderful things in life that we can look forward to. This is one of the reasons why I am so honored to have our guest for this week, a promising young artist and also a good friend, Aica Duran.

For this week's episode, Aica gives us a glimpse of her life as a freelance artist and shares to us how incredible it is to embrace one's passion for the arts. I, for one, am in awe of her talent to draw and put life into her artworks.

Please also give her some love and follow her on Instagram and Twitter: @hiaicasan

You can also contact her for commissioned work, she's announcing it all on her social media pages.

I am excited for you to meet her  and see get to know her work, even just for this short episode. Enjoy!

Hi everybody! It's been a long while since our last weekly episode. I missed this, I hope you did too. This week we are talking about rest, particularly why we need it. It's just a short episode so I hope you finish listening to the entire thing.  I also share with you three (3) important things about rest that we all need to keep in mind. I hope it helps!

Also, this episode is dedicated to one of my good friends, and also a friend of the podcast:  Erina :) I miss you dear! This was what you suggested last time, so thank you again. It's good to have these weekly episodes back.

First of all, HAPPY INTERNATIONAL PODCAST DAY! I tried my very best to have at least one episode for September 2020. And, it's just perfect timing that it's a special day to match. Also, it's been quite a long time since I last recorded anything. Despite this episode being quite emotional, I remain earnest with my plea to every one of you out there: STAY HEALTHY AND SAFE. Don't forget to express your love and appreciation for your dear loved ones. Tell them how much they mean to you. And never take anything for granted. Please also continue to pray for my good friend and brother, Indra, and his bereaved family.

Was there any point in your life when you genuinely thought that you are not good enough? Or maybe there's something you've always wanted to do, but have always felt that it's so difficult and you're never gonna learn it... So, in the end, you reject the entire idea and just quit before you even started? Do you feel averse to change?

Well, you may answer no to any (or all) of these questions, but let's not lie to ourselves. It's not good for us, anyway. So, my answer is YES. A big, fat YES!! For example, someone from my school once said I am not a dancer so I should refrain from participating in any dance-related activity, and just focus on what I normally do instead: singing. It sucked because I loved watching people dance and I also want to give it a try. These kinds of scenarios are all around us, and they're there for the longest time. We just maybe forgot about them or buried them deep within us.

Let's talk about it in this episode. I hope to let you see what having a fixed mindset is doing to your confidence, your character, and your passions in life. And also to find out if: do you have a Growth Mindset?

This is just a quick, kinda impromptu recording, so excuse my shaky, airy voice (my sinuses are not yet that clear, so I am a little breathy) but I am happy to share this episode with you.

Some friendships work and last many years, while others end up failing. Recently, I am reminded of a friendship I lost years ago due to our differences. Reminiscing about it made me come up with a few realizations that I think I am now ready to share.

"In these uncertain and trying times, how do we cope?" This is the question I ask as Metro Manila reverts back to its MECQ (modified enhanced community quarantine) status and there seems to be more uncertainty ahead than ever before. Armed with the wisdom of Pema Chodron, with her 2002 book "Comfortable with Uncertainty: 108 Teachings on Cultivating Fearlessness and Compassion", allow me to share with you my takeaways and realizations in order for us to manage life's many uncertainties.

After reading the book, I compiled my notes and identified five (5) ways on how we can deal with uncertainty. Given it a listen and let me know what you think. Also, I hope it helps you, as it did to me, even in a small way.

I did not expect the "So you want to start a podcast?" episode to be a full three-part series. But no complaints here. :) I'm just happy to be able to share with you what I know, and hopefully you'll find it useful. This began with practical tips on when you finally start your podcast channel. Then followed by how you can prepare for your podcast episodes. Now, we come full circle and talk about some post-production tips.

To be honest, I don't have a lot to share about post-prod because I really don't edit a lot as I find it time-consuming, but there are some things I can share with you - some important details you might need to take note of after you record your episode. Also, after the tips you'll find a list of some useful apps/softwares/websites which might be of help as you navigate through your after-recording phase.

There is also an added bonus to Ep43. Do check it out!

Earlier this week I received a message from an up and coming podcaster, Ferina of The Millennial Mermaid, asking me about some tips on basically how to prepare oneself for a podcast episode. Since last week's episode tackles starting your podcast and so to maintain momentum, I want to do a part 2 on the topic. This time, I am sharing with you important things you can consider in preparation for your podcast episode.

If you are not particularly into podcasting but are a content creator, this episode is also for you. :) Again, I am only sharing information based on my experience. Let me know what you guys think, okay?

Previously uploaded the WHO version, but I still want to read...  Practice reading turned useful.  ^_^ So I searched the Department of Health's (DOH) general guidelines - the closest version to WHO's advice for the public. This information can also be found on the DOH's COVID-19 website: covid19.healthypilipinas.ph/faqs

Sana po ay sundin natin palagi ang mga paalala ng DOH at i-share ang mga mahahalagang impormasyon na ito sa ating mga kakilala.

July 23 - the Philippines is now at 74,390 confirmed cases (Department of Health, 2020). Please note that China - where the virus started - has 85,921 as of date. We only have a little over 10,000  left before we reach their number. And... current quarantine measures are becoming less and less strict. It saddens me to say that, unfortunately, it is very likely for us to get to China's number. This is why I am sending this reminder to you. Hopefully you'll listen to it - it's just very short.

This is the World Health Organization's general guidelines and advice for the public on how you can protect yourself and others from the spread of COVID-19 (World Health Organization, 2020). This is also a reading practice for me, in a way haha. But in all seriousness, I hope you keep these reminders in mind always. And share them to your loved ones!

A month into the quarantine period I noticed what seems to be an increase in the number of people searching for podcast equipment online. There were queries being posted on various podcasting Facebook groups, and I also had people (even friends) asking me about podcasting -- just what I know, my experience for the past year, and basically, general tips. For me, this is very exciting news as I am happy to know that more and more people are getting into podcasting -- as an art form and as an avenue of expression.

Just like how Erina (our guest for Ep40) responded to a friend's need of earsavers, I hope this short episode would help - even in small ways - those who are considering starting a podcast channel. Please note that this is just based on my experience, and I am only sharing information that I know.  Video version also available on Kristine's Voice: The Podcast's Facebook page.

For this week's episode I had the pleasure of talking to a good friend, Erina Tachibana, about her craft and passion for crocheting. Her love for the craft has always been a source of inspiration for me, even more so recently, as she turns what some may consider a hobby into a passion project aimed at providing ease and comfort to our frontliners. What started as a 'mask issue' of medical personnel -- how wearing masks for prolonged periods of time can eventually become painful and uncomfortable, has now fueled a community of crocheters to eagerly deliver relief through the use of earsavers.

Now, Earsavers for Lifesavers PH continues to grow in number, inspiring many more people to come to the aid of our countless frontliners - both medical and non-medical. It shows how our passions, whatever it may be, can be used to connect with other people, help those in need, and even build communities. You don't want to miss this episode, so stream now!

For the first time ever, I tried making a podcast episode using Zoom with the birthday girl, Angel <3  This is not at all planned, so I am beyond grateful she agreed to join me for this episode.  She shares to me updates and stories of some her quarantine adventures.

More importantly, Angel becomes our example of someone who turns the negativity and hassle of quarantine life into something creative and productive for her very own business.  I hope we can learn something from her, despite our conversation being short. :)

Certainly a lot has changed for the past three months, and because of the pandemic, there are many things proving to be beyond our control. This episode may be viewed as complementary to our previous episode on TIME MANAGEMENT, only this would be about ENERGY MANAGEMENT. As we spend more time at home, some activities have blurred altogether and time boundaries seem to fade (quite sadly, if I might add). Instead of focusing on things we can no longer control (time is something we can only manage), the point now is to refocus our energy and be able to control our reactions to things around us.

I hope you find this short episode insightful and useful to consider for your daily activities. I use some of these tips too, just so you know. ;)

I am inspired to give this topic a try after seeing someone give a message to his past self as a sort of reflection. I also want to do it since I just recently celebrated my birthday. I mean, it may never happen. I might never be able to talk to my past self (unless we invent and perfect time travel, Avengers: Endgame style), but being able to reflect on my present and having it connect to my past and my future seems like a good activity (mental health-wise).

I hope you learn something from my short reflection. It's not much but if you feel stuck at this point in your life, I recommend giving this activity a try. It might just help you see how far you've come at present. At least that's how I feel after recording this episode. :) Hope it helps!

This short episode wishes to clarify the difference between the four quarantine categories (ECQ, MECQ, GCQ, MGCQ) that is being implemented in the Philippines. I'm sure marami rin sa inyo ang litong lito na sa mga guidelines imposed, and I hope this episode can provide a little bit of clarity. I know it cleared a few things for me, hehe. Remember, kahit saang category ka pa: Stay at home. Stay healthy. Stay safe. And, stay sane! Hindi pa tapos ang laban kontra COVID-19. Hangga't wala pang vaccine, we have to live under the new normal. So better be aware which category your residence falls under and take note of the guidelines imposed. Iba na ang may alam! 😉

A product of a restless mind and excess energy, haha. I finished reading Mark Manson's 2nd book: Everything is F*cked: A book about Hope, and I just want to share with you some of my takeaways from the book. Admittedly not my favorite piece of reading, though there are still a few things I can learn and highlight. Hi friends! I'm still alive and well, and have also discovered the Anchor app! (I know, I'm a little too late for this haha). Hi everyone! I suddenly missed going to our usual karaoke place (with Jorenz and Jamie), but with the current quarantine in place, there's no chance for that anytime soon. So, I just went ahead and had my karaoke night at home. It was a lot more fun than I expected.

I listed down 8 songs I would want to sing if I were indeed going for karaoke. But let's be honest, if this was the real thing, I'm sure there'll be more than 8. Hahaha.

All songs are in Korean, and 7 out of 8 are from Korean dramas. 🙂 Featuring the power of OSTs ❤ Also, since this is my version of karaoke night, there will be times I won't get things right. So, be kind. 😉 Enjoy and thank you for letting me serenade you, hehe!!

Today marks the first four weeks since the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) was implemented. It is also supposedly today when it is to be lifted. However, due to increasing number of COVID positive patients, and seeing as how we have not yet achieved our collective goal of flattening the curve, it is but wise to extend the ECQ. As is confirmed this week, the ECQ is extended until April 30th in the Philippines. Let us continue praying for the world, for the virus to be contained, for a vaccine to be made, for our frontliners to be safe, and for everyone's unceasing cooperation, kindness, and compassion.

In this episode, I just share with you my thoughts from the past month under ECQ and to generally update you on how I'm doing. I sincerely hope every one of you listening to this episode is healthy and safe.

And, happy Easter Sunday to all!

Following the World Health Organization's announcement of the novel coronavirus or coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as a pandemic, governments all around the globe began taking pre-cautionary measures to prevent the spread of the virus. Citizens are  being asked to cooperate in what WHO describes as "flattening the curve", or simply the avoidance of overwhelming healthcare systems all over the world and slowing down the transfer of the virus from one person to another. This is why people are asked to stay indoors, practice social distancing, and avoid crowded places. Frequent hand washing is also emphasized.

The Philippines has seen a rise in the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the past weeks, which has prompted the government to respond by placing the entire Luzon under enhanced community quarantine. This means strict home quarantine to all households, except for a few belonging to industries supplying basic necessities and required services -- our frontliners. This short episode is basically just a quick update about the COVID-19 situation in the Philippines.

I hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Spread love and kindness, especially during these times.

Hi guys! May pahabol ako for the month of hearts, and it's a list of my favorite romance movies that will add sweetness and inspiration to your life all year long. Again, apologies for the late update; I'm currently prepping for my midterm exam for Japanese language class. Nonetheless, I wanted to share this list to you before February ends. <3

If you have recommendations for me, I would be happy to check it out. Just let me know! ^^

Also, remember to spread love and kindness all year round, not just on February. ;)

A friend recently asked me: what is one thing you were not taught in school but should have learned anyway? I thought about this question seriously, and realized that my answer would primarily be: to learn how to accept, respond, and move from failures. Growing up, I did whatever I could to stay away from trouble, to avoid making mistakes as this would only lead to demerits, disappointments, and a lot of scolding. Mistakes and failures are not the kinds of things being rewarded when we were young. But there are, I realized later on, necessary to learning. There are many things I started to see and learn from after making mistakes, and I also found growth as I move past such experiences.

Hence, reading John C. Maxwell's book, entitled "Failing Forward", I was made more aware of the importance of failing and rising above life's many challenges. The book, despite being short, is filled with nuggets of wisdom that I hope to share with you also through this episode.

Last week we've set our goals, but why stop there? This week, we'll try to make time for those goals.

In between work/school, family/friends, sleep, exercise, your personal /social life, there must be a ton of other things you want to do but don't have the time for? What do you do then? We clearly cannot extend the 24 hours of every day. The best we can do is to manage our time.

With tips based on Jim Randel's book, "The Skinny on Time Management" published on 2010, let me walk you through some useful tips and tricks you can apply to improve how you manage your time.

In this week's episode, I'll share with you some tips on how you could make your 2020 all the more meaningful and productive, starting with GOAL-SETTING.  It is crucial to understand the importance of setting one's goals and identifying necessary steps to take in order to achieve those goals.  It' is timely for the new year, but goal-setting is not specifically just for this period. It is, generally, about taking charge of your life goals and dreams, at whatever time of the year. But why start later, if you could also start now? ;)

Join me and I hope you learn something today!!

For our first episode of the new year, I asked some of my family, friends, and followers to send me their New Year's greetings to bring in some good vibes for 2020!! I am beyond grateful for everyone's support and encouragement last 2019, and I am praying that in 2020, as I put my heart and my efforts into creating more interesting content, I'll have more of you to meet and inspire.

Again, a big THANK YOU to everyone who took the time and made efforts in sending their new year's greetings. I will always look back to this episode every time I encounter difficulties this year, as it would remind me of how blessed I am to have such supportive friends and listeners. Thank you guys, and let's slay 2020!!

Wishing everyone a happy holidays!!  May you get to spend quality time with your family and friends, or if you are just by yourself, I hope you take this time to rest and have fun.  I'm not sure about your Christmas and New Year traditions but mine include baking tons of goodies, movie/series marathons, many cups of coffee/hot chocolate, and sleepless nights.  Hahaha! Whatever traditions you have, I just hope you are having fun. ^^

Last December 17 we attended the Podcast Network's Podcast PH Meetup and were able to learn a lot from their guest speakers.  This episode is a summary of that insightful event.  I tried to record immediately after the meet up, and I am hoping to get that surge of energy across to you, my dear listeners. Apologies for the loud audio in the first half of the episode, though.  As I was recording on-site, I cannot control the sounds around me.  But we managed to still make sense out of our experience, and I hope you enjoy it.

Brilliant speakers coming from radio shared their thoughts and views on radio broadcasting versus podcasting.  Apart from that, they shared their experiences which we can all learn from.  My takeaway: take care of your craft, never give up on what sets your soul on fire, and just keep going, no matter what.Special thanks to my brother, Daniel, and cousin, Tommie (aka dude) for going with me to the event.  And also to Ate Marita and Kuya Ruldan.

It has been a difficult and painful week for me. I find myself unable to put into words whatever thoughts I have and emotions I feel after losing a loved one. It changes you, so suddenly. Last week I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, but after that, it's just a blur of many different things. I am still thankful for everything, and I believe that the Lord has plans for all of us.

This is just a short reflection of what I've been through and am going through. Reminding everyone to never take anything for granted, and always be grateful.

Hi guys!! I AM BACK! After two weeks of finalizing my review for the JLPT December exam, I am once again ready to create new episodes for you. I'm really sorry for the delay, guys. I hope you are all doing well.

This episode is my personal Thanksgiving reflection. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in my country, which is the Philippines, but I happen to think that being grateful for anything and recognizing what it is that you are grateful for are good habits to cultivate. It allows us to appreciate our blessings, big or small.

When you listen to this, I hope you also take the chance to reflect on your gratitude list and take this time to appreciate whatever you have.

2019 is almost over!!  Anyone out there already planning their trips for next year?  You may be considering going to Osaka and are you looking for an itinerary?  Well, I just have the thing for you!!  In this episode I list down all of the must-visit sites you may want to add to your much-awaited Osaka-Kyoto tour. <3

I had the privilege of living in Osaka for six months in 2013/2014 as an exchange student, and had the chance to visit spectacular locations not just in Osaka, but also in Kyoto.  I'll also share photos from my program as a way of sharing to you my experiences.  Just head on over to Kristine's Voice: The Podcast (@kristinesvoicethepodcast) on Instagram and on Facebook to see those snaps.

Thank you to my dear friend, Aika, for inspiring this episode.  She is traveling to Osaka this week and have reminded me of my memorable experiences in Osaka as I was making her this travel recommendation.  Now I get to share this to all of you as well.

It is the last weekend of October -- the Mental Health Awareness Month and we are ending it with the triple R (Review, Reaction, and Realizations) from the movie: Joker (2019).  I saw the movie two weeks ago, and you can say that I needed some time to process everything that I've seen, felt and experienced while watching the movie.  There were intense, extreme situations portrayed but these scenarios somehow reflect the realities we have in life.  Despite feeling squeamish at some scenes, I also can't help but notice that such things happen in real life.

If you haven't seen the movie yet, I do not suggest you listen to this episode as I have given a lot of spoilers.  I can only analyze the movie if I break it into the different scenes that stood out the most for me.  But, if you have seen the movie, feel free to let me know more about what you think and some of your reactions to Joaquin Phoenix's performance as Joker. Thank you!

It's time for another Q&A session!! This time the questions are from the Miss World Philippines 2019 Q&A segment which was held last September 14, 2019. Again, congratulations to our 2019 queens and I wish them all the best in their respective competitions. Please represent the Philippines in the best way possible! #RaiseYourFlag

I kinda want to challenge myself again in answering questions timed for 30 seconds. I know it will be challenging, just like the BBP2019 Q&A episode (episode #2), but it's also a lot of fun, hahaha. And guys, I also have a few Filipino pageantry news I'd share with you.  As a pageant fan, my goal is to only relay to you what has been circulating on social media, and I never wish any of the personalities involved any harm. Let's spread love and encouragement online. <3

October 10 is World Mental Health Day and this episode is focusing entirely on how we can better take care of our mental health and overall being.  Mental health is real.  It is not something we just shake off, get over or sleep on.  I hope we can all try to educate ourselves about the growing concerns related to mental health and that we can become that form of encouragement for others who might need our support.

Yeap, I know it's a lousy title but it's really what it is. Hahaha! I, for one, dislike clickbait stuff so I try to describe the contents of my episodes using the title in the best way possible. So, this is a follow up on our pilot episode which was months ago. I still can't believe it! But I promised then that I have another set of more personal questions I found online that you can use to get to know someone better.

Also, this episode is a bit short but I still hope you and I can get connected and that we achieve the objective of you getting to know more about me as a person. :) As always, thank you everyone for tuning in and I hope you continue supporting the podcast. <3

Serious question: If it's family that's making you stressed, where do you draw the line?  Should there even be a limit in the first place?  I have been quite stressed by some things and other people around me that has led me to ask this question.  And I am genuinely asking and have to think about my answer in the process of talking about this topic.  There are inputs I have received from kind people online which I also shared in the episode.

There are still so many things to learn in life.  For me, setting boundaries is one of them.

We will now go to PART 2 of our KDrama Recommendations!  This is it!  Another set of heartwarming, interesting dramas that I'm sure you'll enjoy and love.  The first list included most of my favorites, but this batch is not going without a fight, hahaha.  I also included a few bonus items for you, plus the usual brief synopsis and overview of each drama.

I did not intend for it to be this long but I guess I just have so much to say about each drama.  Peace!  There will surely be a Part 3 which I will once again save for next time.  For now, enjoy guys!

Admittedly had trouble getting this episode together, but it's here!!  I love good documentaries as it tells me a lot about cases, issues, and problems that had happened in the world.  I've been keeping a list of those I've recently watched and I can't wait to share it with all of you.

This is also our 14th Episode uploaded on September 14th. 14 on 14, so I might as well make it 14 Documentary Titles you should definitely check and watch on Netflix.  Enjoy!!

Hi guys!!  Again, a big THANK YOU to all our listeners and followers who've shared their answers to our question from EPISODE 12.  Thank you for celebrating with me as we reach quarter one of our podcast!  The work required for the past twelve weeks is no joke, as there are a lot of other things I needed to attend to.  But you guys keep me going, and I'm looking forward to quarter two and to whatever comes next!

So, we are now on our 13th episode and recently I've had my share of disappointments, stress and frustration.  And I know we all get this feeling from time to time.  We may have different ways of coping with such instances in our lives, but I just want to share with you some of the things I do to bounce back whenever I feel down.

There is no one perfect formula or solution to life's many problems, but how you approach the problem makes a ton of difference.  So, here's to hoping you maneuver through life's challenges with patience, faith, and grace. :)

Hi guys!  I'm currently helping Jamie (one of our guests from Episode 7) learn basic Japanese grammar concepts and several cultural inputs.  We've recently started her lessons and she suggested I create an episode focusing on tips when learning a new language.  I thought it was perfect as I also have a few simple tips I wanna share.

Again, these tips can be used for learning anything but I have shared some information that can be more helpful for first-time Nihongo learners.  I really hope you learn something from this episode!

By the way, using a lavalier mic for this episode together with the Zoom to make things easier. :)  Let me know what you think about the quality of the audio.

As a child, I've always been curious about how the animes I keep on watching on local television have become Tagalized (or translated into Filipino).  And over time, this curiosity transitioned into Filipino versions of my favorite Korean dramas.  This is when I established a particular interest in voice acting.  It's been over a year since I participated in Creativoices Productions' Voiceworx (Basic Voice Acting) Workshop.  It ran for 8 weeks and I've had some incredible, unforgettable experiences from the program.

As part of an anniversary reflection of sorts, I have this episode I want to share with you where I talk about my experiences and everything that I learned from the workshop.  To be honest, being part of Voiceworx Batch 45 has also helped me build confidence in speaking or sharing some of the things I know and have learned over the years from different experiences.  This podcast is a part of that confidence.

I also want to take this opportunity to invite you to join some of Creativoices Productions' seminars/workshops.  Please just search Creativoices Productions and The Voice Acting Team on Facebook. Happy listening!

In 2017, I partnered with my Mom and opened a small franchising business. Fast forward to 2019 and we are now expecting changes in the business which led me to reflect on what the past two years and 1 1/2 months has been like. Definitely there's stress, and also a few other frustrating moments, but there are also many new lessons I learned, many new discoveries I made about myself and about doing business, and many blessings including the people I encountered whom I am so grateful for.

Let me share to you some of my experiences and what I've learned so far. A side note though, there are no two businesses alike. Your experience (or what would be your experience if you are now planning on it) might not be the same as mine. That's okay. We all get to enjoy our own journeys in life.

And no matter how small your business, you can still learn a ton of lessons and skills that'll last you a lifetime. Don't be disheartened if things don't go your way. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn. ^^

I am beyond excited to share with you this fun, relatable, and informative episode featuring three of my long-time friends: Angel, Jolo, and Moya. It's been a while since we last saw each other and it's great timing that we finally got together last month -- during Angel's birthday. Again, I thank my friends for trusting me with their stories and for gracing the show. This was a learning experience for me, as I also got to know a new side to them.

Let me take you to their worlds as budding, promising young professionals: Angel as a pastry chef/R&D officer and, at the same time, business owner -- baking specialty cakes for your special occasions. Jolo, who recently got back from Japan, teaching English to elementary and junior high school students. And Moya, head chef and who is also helping in his family's business in London, United Kingdom. Each of their experiences is unique, and I'm positive we can all learn from what they have to share.

From landing that first job to their goals in the future, join me and listen in on our conversation about all things life and career. Happy listening!

Taking on a serious topic this week as I talk to Tita Corina.  She is someone I truly admire because of the hard work she does for her children, as a single mother.  This episode, despite being short, is full of meaning and is something I have taken a lot from.  The struggles of being a single parent I cannot capture within a single interview, but it's good that I got to see the surface and really get this conversation going.

To all single parents out there, this episode is for you.

For this week's episode, I introduce to two special guests: Abbie & Jamie.  They will bring us to their world as incoming college freshmen.  It's been a while since I had conversations about school life and basically about that stage in life when we start heading our own paths (in short, adulting~).

I reminisced and also learned a lot from our conversation.  Dedicating this post to all the young people out there.  If you are listening, may you get something out of this episode and that I sincerely wish you all the best with what's to come!

P.S.: There were issues with the sound in our chosen location, so I just hope you bear with us.  Though I made sure you can still hear their answers ;)

Calling all Korean drama fangirls/fanboys out there!  I compiled a few titles I'd love to recommend to all of you.  This follows a different format, but I'm still hoping you'd like it.  If you are looking for dramas to watch (or re-watch), this would be perfect!

I started watching dramas in 2004, and have been an avid fan of many different genres.  Making this personal list of recommendations reminded me of how I started watching dramas -- just enjoying the storyline at first, until I started using the dramas to learn more about another culture and another language.  It surely has become an adventure, and every story brings a fresh, new perspective I've yet to encounter.

Happy listening!

P.S.: My allergies flared after this recording, hence the voice.  Bawi next time guys!

Alone, I get a myriad of thoughts in my head. Some of these thoughts I figured can be put to good use, simply by channeling all these energy and non-stop thinking into sharing with you my opinions and thoughts about anything under the sun. Treat me like a friend you'd hangout with, go and grab your cup of coffee and let's talk!

Recent studies conclude that there is a link between social media and the increasing levels of depression among its many users. I believe social media has two sides to it: the good and the bad. Let's talk about that, shall we?

If you have any feedback for me, I'd be happy to hear them. Just let me know, we can absolutely talk about it!

Filipinos are known for their love of 3 Bs: boxing, basketball, and beauty pageants.

I am not really into sports, but pageantry I have come to admire and enjoy.

Last June 9, 2019, we have crowned our new set of queens who will represent the Philippines in the international pageantry stage.  I congratulate and commend all of the candidates for a job well done! It was not an easy journey, but they all made it through the competition.

With that, for today's episode, I've decided to challenge myself and take the Binibining Pilipinas 2019 Q&A experience in the comfort of my own home.  To be honest, it was not at all comfortable, and it was definitely a challenge.

So dear friends, please bear with me as I take on the BBP2019 Q&A.

Hi! I am finally (officially!) joining the community of Podcasters in the hopes of making my voice known. I've created this podcast so that I can just talk about anything under the sun. Think of me as a friend you'd hang out with, so go grab your cup of coffee and let's talk!

Since I am new to Podcasting, I have to first (slowly) introduce myself. I do not want to do it the traditional way, as it would be boring. Hence, for our first episode, I've decided to let the internet be my guide and answer 20 interesting questions that I've found. The list is random so please bear with me. But I really enjoyed answering the questions (so much so that I've saved a few more "personal" questions for next time).

I hope you enjoy it, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
