DJ JHONNIKARMA

JHONNIKARMA is a Belgian Progressive House - Deep House - Tech-House - House - Progressive Trance - Melodic House - Melodic Techno - Techno - Oldschool Hardcore - Jumpstyle - Retro - Drum & Bass and Hip Hop DJ. Throughout the years he has mastered various styles of music, hence the difficulty to pinpoint him on a specific genre. After a successful voice test way back in 1991 when he was just 13 years old, he broadcasted the LA BOUM DECA DANCE radio show and became one of the youngest DJ's to play on a radio station back then. The LA BOUM DECA DANCE radio show ran from 1991 until 1997 on different radio stations throughout the years. His biggest inspiration at that time was Dutch DJ Ben Liebrand on radio Veronica with his radio show In The Mix. The music he played on the LA BOUM DECA DANCE radio show whas a mixture of Euro Dance - Italo Dance - Euro House - House and Hip-House trax. As the years progressed he gradually switched to genres such as Trance - Hard Trance - Techno and Rave music. He's 44 years "old" now but still "young'" at heart, Sadly in December 2016 his life drastically changed forever... That's when Doctors discovered he had 2 brain aneurysms & a brain AVM (short for ArterioVenous Malformation) after he suffered from a severe epileptic seizure. Then in early 2017 he went through an open brain surgery (craniotomy) to remove the AVM in his brain and an endovascular stent-graft surgery to treat his brain aneurysms. But as a result of complications (he had a collapsed lung and almost bled to death on the operating table when the surgeons accidentally hit an artery in his brain) he's now paralyzed in his right arm & leg. He ended up in a wheelchair and spent almost 3 years of his life in a hospital and a neurorehabilitation center. Here you will find mix sets that he's made over the last couple of years, including a few Drum & Bass mixes and Hip Hop mixtapes. He will try to make new mix sets in the future, but as you can imagine it's not easy with the use of only one arm/hand. Peace - Love & Unity!
