Weighty Issues: Part 1
Many times we see someone who is overweight and make a “blanket” statement judgement about how they got to that point, based on our own experience.
In this Episode I intro a 3 part series where I unpack the idea that weight gain / being overweight is a complex issue and AT TIMES may be a reflection of a deeper emotional issue that needs to be addressed first.
In a pretty transparent episode I share my challenges / journey and the why behind how I found myself overweight.
If you’re losing weight - I hope this encourages you.
If you have someone in your life that is trying to lose weight, I hope this educates you.
In this episode I share the reasons why I began my weightloss journey and how my life, on every level, has changed as a direct result of the choices that I made. I do mix faith and fitness (but honestly I believe our lives should be a symphony of God's Grace - on every level)
So here is the "why behind the what"
Guess Whose Baaaack! In this episode Antionette shares the beauty of an unanswered prayer. We're so quick to praise God for the breakthroughs - but praising God for His "No" - and realising that He knew better. The maturity that comes with being content in the No and thanking God for His protection.
In this episode I sit down with Nelisa Dlamini, as she shares her journey of being single for 4 years.
Our conversation is raw and unfiltered as we honestly discuss some of the challenges Christians Face in Dating.
No matter where you find yourself on this journey, we trust this episode will encourage and challenge you.
The cross never promised us an easy journey - but it is a reminder that He is with us in the journey.
Micah 7:7 But as for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me.
We cannot fully embrace the finished work of the cross and choose not to forgive ourselves. If God chooses not to hold our past against us, why should we become martyrs for the sake of our egos. Rest in the finished work of the cross and embrace the forgiveness made available by forgiving yourself.
How differently would we show up in the world if we showed up with a deep rooted understanding that we are ALREADY loved? Many people go through their lives as if they’re auditioning to be there instead of living with a confidence built on their relationship with God. They ultimately end up begging people to accept and choose them, but living FROM love changes everything! In this Episode Antionette shares her thoughts around this and the value of Living from Loved. When applied, pocket of truth will change how you show up in the world.
The word of God says: Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. (Prov 4:23)
We have to guard our hearts against envy, bitterness, pride, unforgiveness, lust etc… because what is in us, ultimately flows through us.
