During this time of abrupt changes and transitions, course directors must make tough decisions when reviewing the full content of their courses. Despite the tendency to consider all aspects of courses as essential, most could truthfully divide the components into three categories: Must Have, Nice to Have, and Just in Case Knowledge. After this exercise, an Academic Dean over the Curriculum Committee would have information to prioritize the courses and de-clutter at the same time of focusing on the absolute essentials.
