In biblical text, threshing wheat was a way to separate the good parts from the bad parts (remove the wheat from the chaff). In Luke's gospel, Jesus tells Simon (Peter) that Satan has asked to have him and sift him like wheat. Meaning, he wants to separate him from what's good in Him and what's good for him. But Jesus prayed for him, that his faith would not fail. Jesus is interceding on your behalf, Don't Give Up!

We must realize that we don't... and never had the power to save ourselves. Happiness and joy is fleeting without our Lord and Savior Jesus. You can drink, party, and club. Deny God, rely on your job, or your spouse if you choose. Serve other God's and worship your idols. At some point, you'll cave. At some point you'll run out of answers. I have tried everything under the sun. Only to realize... Nothing but the Blood of Jesus will save me!

The feeling of indifference is sort of an oxymoron because indifference is the equivalent to numb. There isn't a gauge of anger, sadness, or anxiety. Indifference is a space of void and emptiness. You want laughter but refuse to go into an atmosphere that produces it. You want to experience love and joy, but push away that which can give it. Jesus says to turn from your indifference, the place where apathy nor passion have life. The lukewarm state of existence. Jesus promises to clothe you in righteousness and give you the best in exchange for your indifference. Will you accept His offer?

There's nothing more frustrating than dealing with people who can't make up their mind. Ironically, this is something that God Himself despises as well. In Revelation 3:15-16 we are given a literal metaphor for Jesus' distaste for indecision. He makes a reference to vomit or spew/spit us out of His mouth. He desires that we rather be all in or all out.

Rejection leaves a tremendous amount of residue after it happens. We may think that we've moved on after we've gotten up and have dusted ourselves off. But the truth of the matter is that the lingering effects of rejection leaves behind residue. Anger, self-condemnation, sadness, and other feelings are just traces of unforgotten rejection. Even Jesus felt the sting of rejection at every turn. No matter what He did, He was rejected. People wanted more miracles, more healings, more acts of divinity, and in return He was met with brutality, humiliation, and suffered a criminals death. He was able to turn His residue into a resurrection. What will you do with yours?

At one point or another you've maybe heard 'I hate you!', 'You're just like your father!', 'You're trash!', 'etc. You get the point. All of us have had something said to us that was hurtful and quite damaging. Whether or not we believe if what was said is true, the reality is that our acceptance of what was said manifested in our real lives. You may have noticed that sometimes our behavior reflects the behavior of what was used to describe us. We don't have to accept labels or entertain them. Label makers are typically an office tool or a tool used to identify specific compartments in an office space or a house. Sometimes they are use to reveal a name on a name badge. These are acceptable ways to use a label maker. What if we as people have become label makers?
To establish a label upon person or circumstance based upon rumor, poor observation, or even from our own personal experiences is the wrong way to use a label. Not only do we speak things into existence when we label someone, but we engrain our accusatory opinion into their mind. Leaving them to inevitably label themselves.

There is a great gulf between what a leader speaks and what a student understands. Just because something is taught doesn't mean the lesson is learned. There are people who do not hear what is said; and, others hear what they wanted the teacher to say. People don’t really get the message all at once. And until a person can fully digest what's being taught in the lesson. They'll remain immature (not fully developed in an area).
The issue with many people is the fact they want to educate people in an area that they haven't fully mastered. Anytime you try to speak life into something or someone with a half developed understanding you create a half-breed. In other words, you limit the growth potential. You cannot teach what you do not understand.

"I love you...I love you too" Deception is easy when selfishness is at the top of the list. Divorce is inevitable when selfishness is at the top of the list. Are you willing to make the necessary adjustments to be the one God has called you to be?
Divorce now in days seems to be a common outfit to put on. We seem to brag about getting a divorce rather than be an adult, look inwardly, and do what we can to fix our families.
It would appear that family is the least of our priorities as we often make our "feelings" king of the household. In this episode I hold no punches in describing 3 ways that we experience or commit an act of divorce.
(My Apologies for the last release as I uploaded the rough draft versus the finished copy. Oops... My mistake) Enjoy the Podcast!

Be careful that you don't judge a person's situation without knowing what they're going through. True spiritual maturity does not use unjust scales when weighing one another's sin. You/I are not any better than the person we're judging. We all fall short of what God is looking for. We must do inventory of ourselves for true growth.

We find many times that people take on the exhausting task of trying to fix broken people. More often than not, the person who's attempting to do the fixing is also broken. Well... broken can't fix broken! Jesus says it like this "They are blind guides leading the blind, and if one blind person guides another, they will both fall into a ditch.” The best thing one could do is focus on becoming whole through the healing power of God. Check out tonight's discussion as we unravel a common thread that tugs at today's relationships.

Internal conflict can be the killer of your faith. The thoughts you choose to entertain could be why you're brokenhearted and confused. Chaotic thinking (negative thinking) is the biggest problem we face as people especially as a believer. To avoid the action of making the right choices is to lend yourself to torment. Kill the Chaos.

Don't turn away from God. Many of us feel that if we get ourselves together first then we can approach God. This would be an excellent plan if you could change yourself. But we can't! Only a relationship with the creator can change our hearts. A relationship with God reveals our destiny and helps us build our faith for things to come. Turn to God, because the night is always darkest before the light shines. We can't see our way clear but by trusting in God we know the light is soon to shine.

Confrontation of internal conflict can cause trauma. The choice to choose darkness rather than light can take us further than we want to go in sin. The light of Christ gives us an out when we face temptation. What you choose can have a severe impact on how your life turns out.

We all have a blueprint that God has mapped out in our life. God also has given us visions of the life we are to lead. However, our focus determines our level of living. Everything that we do in life will be tried by fire. Meaning, we will all encounter problems in this life and our true character will show when faced with adversity. The weight of the problem will reveal if you have been building your life on the foundation of truth (which is Jesus Christ) or worldly wisdom. The fire to come will tell us all we need to know.

The only way to truly connect with God is to face inner truths. Coming to Christ exposes things in our life that we must hand over to Him or otherwise be overtaken by. We often find that Christianity has become a passive segway to an adulterous doctrine. We hear messages that say "you can live in sin but it's ok because God is gracious and merciful" He is and praise Him for it. But If we really understood who God is then it would be hard to purposefully and continually operate in sin. To know the word of God and deliberately disobey it is blasphemous.

Whatever you may think, God doesn't have qualifications for you to preach the gospel. When you realize that perfection and qualifications aren't the standard to do His will, you'll find peace in knowing that God chooses the mostly unlikely people to do extraordinary things. Your mistakes don't disqualify you but disobedience will.

Not only does fear cripple you by stunting your ability and creativity. It also puts you in a constant state of worry. So much so, that we become different people trying to prevent what may never happen and ultimately couldn't control if it did. Stop worrying!

If you're going to be fruitful you have to decide to operate in fear or in faith. According to 2 Timothy 1:7, fear isn't real. Fear by definition is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous. If we're not careful, our fears become a reality. The bible tells us to worry about nothing but pray about everything.
