For the episode of The EPEC ECHO, I interviewed Kelsey Riggi from Libera to talk about Libera's purpose, how it's helped many young girls and women across the state of
WV, and identifying systematic gaps in our community that need to be filled.
For this Episode I sat down with our very own executive director, and our SART coordinator here at EPEC to talk about our recent homicide reduction community forum. We discussed how the forum went, group participation, and what our community can be doing better to address IPV.
This month I sat down with Sara Blevins from Branches, a DV crisis center located in Huntington, WV. We talked about Teen Dating Violence Awareness month, our current outreach projects, and how crisis centers can work together better.

December is home to some pretty big holidays including Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and the ringing in of the New Year. Today’s episode is going to be directed towards survivors of interpersonal violence (sexual, domestic, and dating violence as well as stalking and human trafficking). I’m joined by LaShae Lopez, Rural Technical Assistance Coordinator at the Resource Sharing Project, a partnership between the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault and the North Carolina Coalition Against Sexual Assault. We discuss ways that survivors can cope with travel stress, unsafe or unsupportive loved ones, and how safety planning and boundaries can be used as tools - incuding a segment on ways the community can better support survivors.
