In this weeks podcast we get a download on all things C3 College and lean into the importance of investment in Biblical training! Join Ps Phil as he sits down with College Principal Pam Borrow, as well as past graduates and C3 pastors, Sam Picken and Joel Burden to talk the importance of biblical training and Christian education. If youāve been looking for an update on college, what is being offered and how your church can utilise the great options available, this conversation is for you.
āThe secret sauce is that C3 College carries the culture, vision and values of our movement, in amongst great biblical training. The heart of our movement is in it, and all the content is by local pastors, for the local church. Itās made by the family, for the family.ā - Pam Borrow, College Principal.
C3 College began in the very early days of C3, with a single classroom of students, with the goal to fast track biblical foundations and experience in ministry and leadership, this quickly evolved to also include the creative art and pastoral care. 45 years on C3 College continues to be run by C3 SYD, and is our recommended college for Bible & Theology Training for all our C3 pastors and teams around the world, as well as countless others looking to discover their purpose and answer the call of God in their lives.
āItās important to get yourself grounded and make yourself immovable in Biblical truth. College was a life changing experience. I immersed myself in it. Taking time away to immerse yourself, you get recoded, and it provides space to receive clarity in your calling. I am a pastor now, but that wouldnāt have happened without C3 College.ā - Ps Sam Picken
āI started college 8 years into planting out church. Like many pastors we were accelerated into leadership and there were some gaps there. I knew our church needed it, but so did I. We piloted the 2 years online course with our team and we found it filled in all those gaps, we were given a new language and able to articulate things we couldnāt before. College helped build that foundation, and being online means I can do it without needing to leave what Iām doing.ā - Ps Joel Burden
Getting immersed in, and investing in biblical knowledge and leadership skills is crucial for discipleship, formation and building strong, thriving churches. Providing training in systematic theology and ministry skills, with online accredited & short courses, C3 College is available to all C3 Church pastors, church members, and the public.

In this Message To The Movement Ps Phil encourages us to be filled with the Holy Spirit on a continual basis. God has given us everything that we need, in the person of the Holy Spirit. Hunger and thirst for Him. As we are planted by the river of life - by the Holy Spirit, and by the word of God - we will bear fruit and bring life wherever we go.
āOn the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, āIf anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.ā - John 7:37-38 NKJV

As always Ps Chris centres us in the heart of who we are. In this beautiful message Ps Chris reflects on the divine connections that surround us in life and ministry. Our tribe, our people.
Jesus set the model for us. "I pray for those you have given me." We have a burden for world revival but lets first take a look at who God has given us. Paul was personally connected, and in relationship with his tribe, his people. His writings reveal his love for his trusted proven brothers and sisters, he knew and loved personally. He named them. An outpouring of gratitude from his heart.
āGreet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.ā - Romans 16:16 ESV

Night one was š„ Ps Phil renewed our hearts for, and belief in the power of purpose of the local church.
Reasons I believe in the local church...
Itās the Gate of Heaven
Itās Gods dwelling place of Earth
The one thing Jesus said He would build
Itās where decisions become disciples
Itās where people thrive
Itās not only the house of God, itās also the house of Godās People
Itās a house of dreams
And a bonus number 8!
āThe righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God. They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green, to declare that the Lord is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.ā

We focus our prayers on local church needs, salvations, and growth, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide our gatherings.
Looking for some tips for running great prayer meetings in your church? Make sure to give this podcast a listen.

Each month we hear a faith building devotional from one of our C3 Church Global Team and Regional Directors. Our April devotional is from our C3 Americas Regional Director and Senior Pastors of C3 Church Atlanta, Ps Sunny Kane.
Confidence in the call. The most important thing God wants to accomplish is the establishment of His kingdom on earth, and He has called you and I to partner with Him in the fulfilment of that mission. How can we be confident in fulfilling such a significant call? Ps Sunny encourages us that it is not through confidence in our own ability; our confidence is Christ in us. What does it mean to have faith during the hardest of circumstances? How do we balance a faith for the miraculous in the midst of very real situations?
If youāre a pastor or leader, do yourself a favour and listen to this conversation between two of the best. Let it be an encouragement and strength to your spirit.

As part of our podcast rhythm we are going to spend time āAt The Table.ā Each month we will hear a faith building devotional from one of our amazing C3 Church Global Team and Regional Directors. To kick us off we have our C3 Europe Regional Director and Senior Pastors of C3 Imagine in Amsterdam, Ps Steve Warren.
Ps Steve encourages and challenges us to be Jesus-ONLY disciples. The temptation is to always think Jesus isnāt enough so we ADD to Him. However, when we try to add to Christ we end up subtracting from His work in our life. He is enough. Put your trust in Him alone. Letās remain in a Christ-ONLY pursuit and posture our lives for personal revival.

C3 is a church planting movement. From the initial vision to plant 10 churches in 10 major cities, we are now close to 600 church around the world! In 2002, X-press was birthed out of the heart and experience of the incredible Ps Mark & Bernie Kelsey, who planted the very first C3 in America, C3 Long Island, back in 1989! And still flourishing over 30 years later. Xpress provides a deep well of resource, wisdom and practical training for church leaders. Over the last 40 years of C3, X-press has been arguably the greatest asset and training ground for church planters; launching hundreds of leaders with the skills and knowledge to build healthy, growing and multiplying churches.
In this podcast Ps Phil chats with Mark & Bernie through their own church planting story, the history of X-press and what the future of church planting and leadership training looks like within the C3 movement. Packed full of C3 culture and DNA, this is a great conversation for all C3 church members, church pastors and emerging planters.
X-press is an immersive experience to holistically develop ministry leaders and church planters. A 5 day, in person, experiential leadership retreat. If you are a current pastor, or church planter there is nothing better than X-press to launch and equip you into the next phase of leadership. There are multiple X-Press courses happening through 2024 all over the globe. Check out the C3 Church Global website for more details.

NOW available on Amazon (https://mybook.to/EAJB)
Leadership is a hot topic. Some suggest everything hangs on it, and maybe it does. However, the definition of Christian leadership, and the defining of a leader, doesnāt follow the trend of that offered by football coaches, military leaders, politicians and business gurus. Joshua is case in point. He never went to the equivalent of ivy league, Oxford, or Sandhurst College. His training was in a wilderness, far from comfort, recognition or accolade. He was trained in active faith, serving anotherās vision, and Godās word and presence. It was these that defined him; it is these that define us, with some form of wilderness thrown in for good measure.

How can you change your world in 2023? How can we live differently? The simplest and most powerful of practises is that of thanksgiving.
