28-12-2021 The second part of Session 1, Day 1, End of Year Retreat for Central Uganda.
No one can be built up for the Lord who does not know a genuine encounter with the Lord, has laid down his all on the altar for the Lord. If fact God cannot use such a person. The Christian journey and christian service will painful, boring and not joyful to such a person.

Practical discipleship in the shaping of the men God uses. Created for a purpose. God uses men to build us for that purpose.
Are you ready for that day when you will meet your God. Be prepared to meet your God. Don't let it be too late.
God forgives, restores and delivers even the foulest of sinners. Humble yourself and turn to him. He will forgive and deliver you.

God's presence is a lovely place to be. Those who love the Lord yearn for his presence. They long to be where He is. Do you love the Lord?

There is blessings for those who walk right with God. They are like trees planted by streams of water. They will prosper in all they do.
When parents are divided, they produce divided children. The consequence is a home where the children end up fighting one another. The seed of bitterness has been sown and this will be disastrous for the descendants of such a family.

The worst of sinners can become the best of saints. This is what the Lord did in the life the apostle Paul, demonstrating what He can do to anyone who turns to zhim.
The grace of God teaches us to say no to all wickedness and live upright lives that are pleasing to God. We were redeemed and transformed to become zealous for every good works.

Your life may be full of many tragedies but like Esther you can still rise to the top if you develop the right character. Your humility will open the doors you need to become what God ordained you to be.
Coming closer to the Lord is coming to stand in His holy presence. He will expose to you anything standing between you and Him. If you obey and put things right you will enter into deep fellowship with Him and the HEART TO HEART ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS will begin.
Many in their day to day life betray the Lord Jesus who sacrificed his life for them. They pierce his heart daily by their wicked acts while pretending that they love him. Judas pretended he loved him while betraying him to his enemies. Will you be one of those who will betray the Lord? No! Stand true to Him in a world that has turn against God.

Greater love has no one that this, that he lay down his life for his friends. This is exactly what the Lord Jesus did for us. Disfigured and finally crucified for us.
Will wealth stand between you and the Lord. Are you will to follow the Lord with your all.

Salvation is found in no one else except Christ Jesus. And is this salvation is totally different from religion. Follow to know the difference.
Those who have been with Jesus, develop a deep Love relationship with Him. They are bold, courageous and ready to suffer for his name.

In true salvation, a man puts right to the best of his ability the wrong he did in the past. This is what restitution is. It gives him a testimony before the watching world. He becomes a witness before those who otherwise world have grumbled against him because of his past.
There is a price to pay for an encounter with Jesus. There are restitutions to carry out to be established in the your salvation. Are you ready to do it here and now?

JOSIAH was a child born to fulfilled prophecy. He rejected the wrong example of his father and grand father. He chose David as his model, sought God with all his heart and brought revival to Israel.
Sin is like an insulator. It blocks a man's relationship with God. Repentance takes away this barrier between a man and God. This will lead to a fresh encounter with God. This is what intimacy in a man's relationship with God is.

Lockdown periods are not time to lament, be discouraged or depressed. They are moments to spend alone with God to be revived and empowered for a new takeoff. Don't waste such precious moments.

Many people have not yet recovered from the effects of the Lockdown due to COVID19 - and this is a year later.
We see today that the difficult times you may going through do not mean that God is unaware or angry with you, nor does it mean that you are no longer in God's favour. We look at John 11, and see that Jesus loved Martha, Mary and Lazarus, even when Lazarus was took ill - and died.
We also see that for God to work in your life, you need to open up and let His freshness in, and the bad odour of all that you may have done and gone through out.

A couple, and a team, should speak with one voice. Pr. Michael Nyisomeh shares on the importance of submission in a home and in a team, touching on the fact that delegation only works when the person delegated is under authority.
Also, when a child is born, we do not baptise them, rather, we dedicate them to the Lord. We see the importance of Dedication and what it means to dedicate a child to the Lord.
How to build men for the kingdom of God- through impartation, provision of the right model, the right pastoral care, challenging them to great exploits etc.
