When we're so busy, when we're constantly go-go-go... we leave zero room for neither the good nor the bad. We don't leave room for the miracles to happen and we're also leaving no room for error. What if an opportunity came your way? Would you even notice? What if something didn't go as planned? Did you leave space to pivot or make a change? Today we're talking all about leaving that space and why it's important!

Some of your Q's we answered:
How do you work with tough clients?
Do you ever get infuriated with clients?
Can you talk too much in therapy?
Do you look up clients on Social Media? Do clients follow you on Social Media?
Do people really lay on your couch?
... and so many more!

People who struggle with Anxiety know they struggle. We often mean well, and tend to tell loved ones things like "calm down" or "just don't worry about it." I want to help you understand why it's important for someone with Anxiety to feel HEARD and to also take the pressure off of you from feeling like you have to "fix" the situation or make it better. I have some suggestions for you to work on listening to hear the person and not just listening to figure out the best response.

Today is a continuation from last week's episode about Avoidance. Because this part - the Self Awareness part of the journey - is often the other piece that causes issues when we're trying to grow. (If you haven't listened to that one yet, I strongly encourage you to go back and listen to that first.)
Avoidance and Awareness go hand in hand. We tend to avoid becoming aware, because it puts pressure on us to have to choose to either continue avoiding OR to do something about the issue. Both come with their challenges, but only one is going to create long term benefits in your life.

It's often wayyyy easier to avoid something than to face it head on. But the avoidance is temporary. Avoidance isn't going to be the thing that helps you grow and move forward. In fact, it'll keep you stuck and likely continue to get louder & louder until you do something about it! It's time to address avoidance, how it affects your life and it's definitely time to kick it to the curb!

Less commuting time, working from home, no weekend plans... When the shutdowns began back in March, a lot of my clients stopped planning ahead because they had more time. Making decisions, sending emails, saying 'no,' setting boundaries... it can all be daunting at times. It's good to have people to call on; people who have "been there, done that."
