The mission of Healing Waters International is to reduce water-related illness and death in developing countries by building self-sustaining projects that make safe drinking water accessible to the poor and empower local churches to bring physical, social and spiritual healing to their communities.
Joining Brian and Tom in the studio are Healing Waters national directors Alfredo Salazar of Guatemala, Mario Avendano of Mexico and Tony Pimentel of the Dominican Republic (L2R). Hear how the three of them left lucrative careers to work with Healing Waters and how God is using them to provide a solution to one of the most critical problems their countries are facing. Mario Avendaño, director of Healing Waters in Chiapas, Mexico, joins Brian and Tom in the studio and describes how history was made as Healing Waters helped to initiate some healing in the division between Protestants and Catholics in Chiapas – a state where they were killing one another just ten years ago. It’s a pretty amazing story.
