Abnormal Grace
1 Corinthians 15:3-10 “3 For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 5 and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, 8 and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
9 For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”
1 Corinthians 15:9-10a “For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God…”
Philippians 3:4-6 “If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; 6 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless.”
2 Corinthians 11:23 ”I have been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. 24 Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one.25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, 26 I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. 27 I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked.28 Besides everything else, I face daily the pressure of my concern for all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I do not feel weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn?”
1 Corinthians 15:10a “I am what I am…”
1 Corinthians 15:10b “…and his grace to me was not without effect.”
1 Corinthians 15:10c “No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”
“Fan the Flame”
Confronting the fear that Keep Your Gifts Dormant
2 Timothy 1:1-7 (NKJV)
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
2 To Timothy, a beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. 3 I thank God, whom I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day, 4 greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears, that I may be filled with joy, 5 when I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.
6 Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
1. Know that God’s gift is in you. 2 Timothy 1:6 “…the gift of God which is in you…”
1 Corinthians 12:4-7 "There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all."
2. God is asking YOU to fan your gift into flame. 2 Timothy 1:6 “…fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you…”
1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 (NASB) 19 Do not quench the Spirit;20 do not despise prophetic utterances. 21 But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;22 abstain from every form of evil.
3. It’s time to confront our fears for what they are. 2 Tim. 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear”
Matthew 25:25“And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Here it is. You can have it.” The Master responded by taking that talent from him and giving it to the first servant.
4. Use ALL of what the Holy Spirit has given you! I Timothy 1:7 “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Romans 12:2 (TPT) 2 Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.
The Word Is A Light
Psalms 119:105 “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”

The Gospel Of Christmas
We Are All A Part Of The Family

The Gospel of Gratefulness
Luke 1:26-50 26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.” 34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” 35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.” 38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her…. 46 And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord 47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, 48 for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, 49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name. 50 His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation.”

1 Peter 1:22 “Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply from the heart.”
Exceptional Love displays uncommon, extraordinary, remarkable grace to others in the face of internal or external opposition.
Love Must Come from a Truthful Place.
1 Peter 1:22 “Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth…”
Truth is the prerequisite for love.
Love Must Come from a Sincere Place.
1 Peter 1:22 “Now that you have purifiedyourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere (Philadelphia) love for each other…”
Brotherly Love (Philadelphia) means to actively show God’s love to each person equally.
Love Must Come from the Heart .
1 Peter 1:22b “…love one another deeplyfrom the heart.”
“Deeply” means without slack, not letting up, to be fully outstretched, to reach deep.
The Gift
OF THE GOSPEL
The Gospel Is Good News.
Matthew 9:35 “Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.”
The word “Gospel” literally means “Good News.” The two words summarize the whole story of Jesus, and the message that He desires to have an eternal relationship with each person.
The Gospel Refers to the Power of God’s Gift.Romans 5:15 “But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!”
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The Gospel Is Turning the Page in Your Story.2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
Stormproof
Ps 108:28-29 “He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven.”
Impervious to damage by storms: Sealed tightly as to exclude penetration by wind, rain, or snow in time of storm.
Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you do not be dismayed, for I am your God.”
Ps 51:12 “Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”
Acts 27:18 “18 We took such a violent battering from the storm that the next day they began to throw the cargo overboard. 19 On the third day, they threw the ship’s tackle overboard with their own hands.”
James 1:6 “6 But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”
God Did This For Something
Everything that God does, He does for a reason. In every situation He infuses divine purpose. His purpose is clear, His character absolute, and His provision available. Identifying the “for” precedes discovering the “how”.
1. His Covenant - Deuteronomy 8:18 “18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He mayestablish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.”
The Great Commission - Matthew 28:19 “19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Stewardship - 1 Chronicles 29:14 “But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”
Transformation - Philippians 1:4-6 “4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Glory – 2 Corinthians 3:18 “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
Matthew 16: 13-18 Church requires a revelation of Jesus Christ. You can't get church right unless you get Jesus right. "You are the Christ" precedes Jesus' mention of the church. "You are Peter.. and on this rock.. Peter = little stone, pebble Rock = large rock, cliff. Psalm 127 "Unless the Lord buildes the house, those who build it labor in vain." Jesus owns the church, not us. "ekklesia" is used 114 time in the New Testament. Of those times, 90% refer to a specific local church. The local church is the emphasis of Scripture. A Local church is under the headship of Jesus who gives its leaders to be responsible for its care and oversight. Heb 13:17. If everybody is in charge, then nobody is in charge. Jesus wants theocracy. Theocracy is when God chooses His leaders. Acts 20:17,28 AND 1 Peter 5:1,2. The Local Church breaks down into 3 main roles. Elder- prebuteros- presbyter, Overseer - episkopos - Bishop, Pastor - poi men - Shepherd. The function of Elders: ruling, decision making, pastoring, teaching. God's form of government is theocratic, meaning He chooses, raises up, and anoints leaders. Our responsibility to Him is to discern and recognize [using biblical parameters] who He is choosing. If we can trust the Lord with our eternity, we should be able to trust Him in the leaders that he appoints to the Local Church.
We must worship God for WHO He is not just WHAT He does. Psalms 22:1-3. When you're not hearing from God, it doesn't mean that God isn't hearing from you. Worship has nothing to do with the size of our church, and everything to do with the size of our God. What is important in worship is not how we worship, but rather who we worship. Before Jesus was savior, He was already King. Yo-Shev [enthroned] means to be enthroned inside of something. A verb indicating that a person is actively taking the throne in a ceremony to make the beginning of their rule. Each time we lift our hands in worship, we are letting the Lord sit on the throne of our life. WE are saying Lord, take an active role in my life. The enemy will do anything he can to separate your focus on God and push your focus onto yourself and all your problems. The church is where you are supposed to run to when things are going wrong. It is a hospital for the broken. Do not forsake the gathering of the saints, instead encourage one another to be there an encourage each other to be there.
There are stones in our life that make up who our Church is. In matthew 16:18, its says "Upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of Hell will not prevail. Our foundation is our life. If we have a strong foundation we can get through any storm that may come our way. No matter if we are spiritual or not, storms will come. Are you preparing for the storms by setting a firm foundation? Jesus is our cornerstone. We must have a relationship with the Lord before we try to do "church" without a relationship to push the conviction to serve. The cornerstone is the most important thing we do. its the center of our life. 2 Peter 2:4-5, only a living stone can build a living house. GOd's house is never supposed to be empty. 4 core values: know god, discover purpose, live generously, build community
We are a part of a realm that is bigger than just the building of the church. The word "church" never refers to a building, it always refers to people, either locally or globally. When God hands you you keys for life, ask him what he wants to open and then watch and listen. Prayer is listening. Small keys can open really big potential.1. God gave Jesus Authority of His Resurrection [under his feet] 2. You release you're own plans because He remains the head 3. You change the way you view the church 4. You change the way you view your role.
