This week on the pod, the guys catch up with Andy Keatts from Axios SD. They discuss the Padres season spiraling out of control, the trade deadline, and what it’s like for Andy being an Orioles fan with a first-place team yet still having questions.
This week the guys chat with Darnay Tripp from NBC 7 about the state of the Padres heading into the second half and towards the all-important MLB Trade Deadline.
Dike Anyiwo and the guys chat about the MLS coming to San Diego and how that will impact the community the SD Loyal has built.

When he came up last September Nick went around and hung out with a few TKF Patrons to hand out socks and talk about Luis Urías. He chatted with John Gennaro, Craig Elsten, HJ Preller, The Kanye Padre, and our own Dallas McLaughlin about the young second baseman and the impact his arrival will have. Then he looked at the Wil Myers/Carlos Asuaje Twitch story (Wow!) and then closed the episode with Travis Russell's take.
This week the guys bring Padres Geekster into the fold to discuss the #BrownIsBack uniform reveal that the fanbase experienced last Saturday. We’re back rockin the stadium talk! Dike Anyiwo and Drew Steck join Nick and Travis to talk about the upcoming soccer projects 1904 and USL San Diego. Then they talk to Ry Rivard from Voice of San Diego about the impending Mission Valley stadium deal.
This week the guys prep for the Red Sox by calling Nick’s wife Liz McCann! Then they talk about losing Tatís and the Hedges quotes that bothered everybody. Last they call Emily Waldon from The Athletic to talk about the farm system and the similarities between the Tigers and Padres rebuilds.
This week the guys talk with Major Garrett from CBS News and The Clairemont Times. They dig into what it feels like to be a Padres fan from the beginning, the weight of waiting for them to be truly successful, and the uncertain future that lies ahead for the Friar Faithful.
The trade deadline came and passed. Franmil Reyes and a few other players are gone and the Padres got back a few pieces. The guys chat with Scott Lewis and Andy Keatts from VOSD and then Jeff Sanders from the UT about the aftermath.
Then they call Rapper Dallas McLaughlin.
This week the guys give their final thoughts before the trade deadline and then call Ryan Schimpf to talk about his journey through the game of baseball.
This week the guys sit down with Carlos Rico, a freelance journalist by day, and professional DJ by night. Carlos works with the National Association for Hispanic Journalists SD/TJ Chapter that helps to bring the stories from our region’s Latin community from both sides of the border to the forefront.
And because of his musical background, we thought he would be the perfect guest to dig into some of the batter walk up songs the Padres are featuring this year. For this round we covered the musical choices of Ian Kinsler, Tatis Jr, Manny Machado, Franmil Reyes, and Chris Paddack.
