Better late than never! We've had an eventful couple of weeks here at TMBP and it mostly had nothing to do with the Thunder, though they certainly kept on rolling.
The Thunder are off to another excellent start at 6-0 through the first weeks of the NBA season. The scary part? They are not even playing that great. And they're also missing a third of their roster. Look out!
And we're back! Another season of Thunder basketball has arrived and it's the first time ever that Oklahoma City will be defending an NBA Championship. Due to technical difficulties, our original preseason recording did not make it to air, so this episode joins the season after an intense 3 game opening week.
And we're back! The 2025-2026 NBA season has arrived and the OKC Thunder being their first ever Championship defense. We recorded a full episode to prepare for the season, but due to technical difficulties we cannot release it. So instead, here is another Thunder Trivia Time! episode to tide you over as the season gets under way.

Now that the Oklahoma City Thunder are officially NBA Champions, we thought it would be a great time to start truly reflecting on the history that the team and city have created over the last 17 years. Today's episode is a special inauguration for what will be an ongoing series on the Thunder Moneyball Podcast; a trivia game based around the history of our podcast! So if you've been a die hard listener, this one is for you. But it's mostly for us. Enjoy!

The Thunder are on the precipice of uncharted territory after 2 games of the NBA Finals. We are all a bit unsure how to feel at the moment.
Thirteen years ago, the baby franchise of the NBA shocked the world and made it all the way to the league's biggest stage. And now, finally, the Oklahoma City Thunder are back in The NBA Finals.
The Thunder just went through a grueling 7 game series against the former Champions in Denver lead by multiple time MVP winner Nikola Jokic. Maybe the most emotional taxing series in Thunder history. But now we face another obstacle: the Minnesota Timberwolves, keen on surpassing last year's team that lost in the Western Conference Finals to the Dallas Mavericks. These are the good ol' days!
We say fond farewell to the greatest coach in the history of the NBA, Gregg Popovich as he officially retires from coaching. Also, preview the upcoming semifinal round of the 2025 NBA Playoffs.
Thunder have completed another first round sweep in back to back seasons and now have another week+ long extended break before their next basketball game.
The 2024-2025 NBA regular season is over and it was one for the ages for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

As of March 12, 2021 it is official in Oklahoma City: the Russell Westbrook era is now completely over. With the trade of the last remnant of a Westbrook team, Hamidou Diallo, the Thunder are officially fully into the Shai Gilgeous-Alexander era. Pour one out for the homie Hami.
We just want everyone to know that none of us here at Thunder Moneyball Podcast had to be sent home from the All-Star Game due to contact tracing. We were, however, in the running to sign Blake Griffin. Unfortunately, he would not accept an off-mic role and given where he is at in his career, we could not envision a place for him in the conversation.

The Rockets have now lost 4 in a row since we declared them unbeatable. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving got a coach fired before ever even playing a minute together. And a huge rematch against the Celtics without SGA looms ahead. (We made some predictions about that game and a few of them were correct!) Plus, the final week of the Fantasy regular season is upon us! It's almost time for...PLAYOFFS.
The Thunder lost by 47 points to the Bucks on Friday. So we decided to not talk much about that and instead look ahead to the playoffs. Matchups we'd like to see, what we don't want to see, and what Vegas thinks Rookie of the Year. Plus the usual fantasy league update!
Two HUGE wins coming out of the All-Star break is a great sign for the Thunder. Lu Dort's perfect game is an even better sign. But the best sign of all? The Clippers are 0-3 in the Reggie Jackson era. You hate to see it. Meanwhile, the Rockets may have unlocked the best version of Russell Westbrook that has ever been. And the Mavericks want to change the history of the NBA but in a bad way. Plus fantasy update and predictions for the upcoming week's slate!
