Hello, and welcome to Season 2 of She Breaks Thru podcast!

This week's podcast will be a solo episode. I just had to share my current standpoint with this situation.

I believe that the glass is half full, not half empty. You have to see positivity if you want to be successful in life. Negativity is not only the killer of dreams, but it is also the end of all visions. Yes, we are in global chaos, but that is not the end, this is not your end. And so do not despair, see things in a different light.

How are you positioning yourself in this turbulent time where everyone is panicking? Are there any learning lessons to be taken home? Yes, many. As an online entrepreneur, we know there are going to be lots of people wanting to engage our services in helping them to scale their business. And so, How am I taking advantage of that, and how am I positioning myself to win when everyone is panicking and sitting on the fear edge?

The most humbling part is she is empowering women in Africa, women stuck in abusive relations because they lack financial freedom. Women who have doctorates and master's degrees who have failed to secure jobs. Women who live in a country that has a 95% unemployment rate.

Have a listen and hear what Sunni has to say.

"When you are grateful - when you can see what you have—you unlock blessings to flow in your life." —Suze Orman

Hello and welcome to our Special Thanksgiving Episode 😄!

If you remember our Wisdom series, I did an episode on practicing gratitude and how doing this can literally change your life. Many of you reached out and expressed how much practicing gratitude has changed their lives. I was moved to tears by your responses, and that added to the list of things I am grateful for. And so this week, as I was reflecting on being grateful and practicing gratitude 🤔, it hit me. 😄💡I should share a Thanksgiving Episode on The Power of Gratitude. This week's episode will be a throwback to our first She Breaks Thru Podcast episode with May McCarthy. I still believe you need to hear her powerful message.

May not only talks about the power of gratitude, but she also talks about forgiveness, taking action, the path to wealth and how all these play a role in achieving success. Her biggest breakthrough came when she started pre-celebrating her success!

Her message still inspires me up to this day and I know it will inspire and motivate you too.🤩 Enjoy!

Hello and welcome to Season 2 of She Breaks Thru podcast! We are excited to begin this new season with a bang. Today's episode is a solo episode where I share my biggest takeaways from Inbound 2019. This is an event you must attend!

I was selected to be a speaker and it was my first time there. There were 26 000 people in the audience and 250 speakers. Among those speakers, there was Alexis Ohanian ( Serena Williams' husband), Chip and Joanna Gaines, Bryan Stevenson, Elizabeth Gilbert, Katie Couric, Dharmesh Shah and so many more. There were so many takeaways from Inbound 2019.The first thing that impressed me was how well organized it was. 26 000 + people and we never ran out of food! That was impressive.

Dharmesh Shah, Co-founder of HubSpot and Inbound shared an impressive story of how his journey has been since starting HubSpot and Inbound. He shared how you can face your fears and define your destiny. One of the things that stood out for me was when he shared on fear of commitment. Dharmesh never learned how to swim until he reached a certain age. When he eventually did learn how to swim, he just went all in. he also shared on how he tried so hard to change his Indian accent just so he could fit in. He eventually realized that he was never going to fit in and later realized that his accent will work to his advantage. A lot of us always try to change ourselves to fit in. This could be your accent, your body, the way you look or talk. This reminds me of when my daughter was young. She did not like the way she looked, from her curves to her lips. When the Kardashians made curves and big lips popular, it changed my daughter's perspective. She finally became comfortable with her looks. I don't believe that we need Kim Kardashian should accept the different traits we have. It is important to redefine the look of things. This is another lesson I learned from Dharmesh Shah.

Another person who made an impact in my life is Arlan Hamilton, an angel investor. She is the founder and managing partner of Backstage Capital. The first black woman to own a big successful investment company. She talked about how hard it was for her when she started out and trying to fit in. Despite all her challenges, being a gay African American woman starting out in the industry. Usually, when you imagine an investor, you picture a tall handsome caucasian man wearing a suit. Arlan has redefined what an investor is, what an investor looks like. As you build your business or empire, what are you going to redefine? If Arlan had not redefined what an investor looks like we would not be where we are. If Dharmesh had not redefined what a successful business owner looks like we would not be here. They did not use their challenges and circumstances as excuses. Don't take your challenges as using them as an excuse. Both Arlan and Dharmesh faced a lot of challenges but they faced their fears and overcome their challenges.

Another person who left a huge impression on me is Bryan Stevenson. He is a lawyer, social justice activist, founder/executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, and a clinical professor at New York University School of Law. He has faced a lot of negativity in his life and career. He is changing the world and the way people see things. One time when he went to court, a guard did not allow him to go in because he believed Bryan did not look like a lawyer. Bryan did not let challenges bring him down, instead, he is changing things and starting a movement. He is fighting for equal justice and although it has not been easy he is fighting for what he believes in. What do you believe in that is so true that you are willing to fight for it? What do you stand for? What are you willing to stand by? You can start a movement and it's up to you, choose to believe. You start a movement by going out there and make a change. Have your own category and start your own moment.

That is really my biggest takeaways from Inbound 2019. I am so excited for Season 2 so subscribe and invite your friends to subscribe too. Leave a review on our podcast and we will send a gift your way. We have an awesome season instore for you! I know you will enjoy it. Let's grow together, let's be empowered together. See you next week on an awesome episode with Heather Dominick.

"Trying to be happy by accumulating possessions is like trying to satisfy hunger by taping sandwiches all over your body." - George Carlin

Hello and welcome to Day 26 of our wisdom series. Today's topic has been a debate point for several years. Does money buy happiness? If so, how much money do you need to be happy? And what is happiness anyway?

As you know, I did not grow up in a wealthy family. I had to work to get to where I am today. When I achieved financial freedom I quit my nursing job, moved to Kelowna, my life changed and everything was great but something was missing. What was missing you ask? Happiness, I felt a huge gap in my life and I was not happy at all.

This was a vital lesson for me because even though I had achieved financial freedom, I had not attained happiness. I remember a quote Robert Nesta Marley (Bob Marley) which reads, 'Money is numbers and numbers never end. If it takes money to be happy, your search for happiness will never end'. Happiness is a choice, not a result. In my 41 years of existence, I have come to realize that nothing will make me happy until I choose to be happy. What has brought me tremendous joy is helping to empower women in Africa. I have realized that true happiness comes from the effort of making others happy. I hope you find your happiness whether you have a fifty or a million dollars in your bank account.

Seek true happiness, Stay Motivated, Stay Wise and see you tomorrow for more wisdom from my 41years of life.

'Don't wait to buy real estate. Buy real estate and wait.' - Robert G. Allen.

Hello and welcome to Day 25 of our wisdom series. Today I share with you an important tip that will come in handy when investing in real estate. I learned this lesson the hard way. I had an opportunity to purchase a beautiful house in Arizona and I chose to wait. I assumed the price will go down and, yeah, that did not happen. I have made sure not to make that mistake again because I missed out on a great opportunity.

If you are thinking of investing in real estate, good for you. The best investment on earth is earth. They are making more gadgets, more airplanes but they can't make more land. As you start or continue investing in real estate remember this; don't wait to buy real estate, buy real estate and wait. Learn from my mistake!

'If you practice gratitude a little, your life will change a little. If you practice gratitude a lot every day, your life will change dramatically and in ways that you can hardly imagine.' - Rhonda Byrne.

Hello and welcome to Day 24 of our wisdom series. I hope you had an amazing weekend and you feel well-rested. Today we talk about the practicing gratitude and this is important and highly beneficial. When I arrived in Canada, I initially wanted to continue doing accounting. Since I did not qualify for a scholarship and I also needed to support my family back home, I was in a dilemma. A friend of mine then advised me to consider starting a career in nursing, after all, nurses make a lot of money. This meant that I could send money back home, support myself and still pursue my dreams. I was set on being in business, I just needed a stepping stone. I promised my friend that I will give him my first paycheck if he was right and a few years later, I was able to fulfill that promise.

I was very grateful to my friend and I am glad I was able to express my gratitude. We became great friends, not because of the money, but because he saw how grateful I was. That is when I learned the importance of practicing gratitude. It opened a lot of doors for me, I met new people, made great connections and this has helped me in my journey.

I remember a quote by Marcus Tullius Cicero which reads; 'Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues but the parent of all others'. This quote has been proven to be true in my life. During the years I have also come to realize that whatever you appreciate and give thanks for will increase in your life. I implore you to start practicing gratitude, don't miss out on the benefits.

Practise Gratitude, Stay Motivated, Stay Wise, See you tomorrow for more wisdom from my 41 years of life.

"Be strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when you need help, and brave enough to ask for it"

We are back!! Hello and welcome to Day 23 of our wisdom series. Today we talk about being brave enough to ask for help. We all need help and support once in a while. I remember when I was still in nursing school. Remember I left my daughter when she was just 10months old and that was the last time I saw her until she came for my graduation 4 years later. I missed her dearly, I hardly coped being oceans away from her. I did not share my pain and burden with anyone until I shared it with one of my teachers. She asked why I kept it to myself and not asked for help. That is when I learned that it's okay to ask for help. Looking back, I wonder why I did not ask for help sooner. I could have avoided a lot of sad thoughts.

Sharing your pain helps you release stress and it helps you cope in any situation. Most people see this as a weakness, I see it as strength. Some of us find it awkward even to ask for help when we need it. What people don't realize is that asking for help saves time and energy. When we seek help, people are there to help. But you have to take the first step and ask for it.

Don't hesitate to ask for help, Stay motivated, Stay Humble, Stay Wise and see you tomorrow for wisdom from my 41 years of life.

'Plans are nothing: Planning is everything' - Dwight D. Eisenhower.

Hello and welcome to Day 22 of our wisdom series. Boy, we have come a long way. Today we discuss the importance of having a career. You can never go wrong with a career. I knew that I wanted to start a business and have multiple streams of income. I knew I had to start somewhere but I had no idea where.

Having a career gave me the freedom to pursue my dreams aggressively. I had a backup plan and this meant that I could still put food on the table. Most successful entrepreneurs leave their 9-5 jobs after their business is up and running. Before he founded Amazon and became the world's richest person, Jeff Bezos flipped burgers at McDonald's. President Barack Obama scooped ice-cream at Baskin-Robbins. Oprah Winfrey worked at a corner grocery store. Before you become successful and wealthy, you must also have a starting point and having a career is a great start.

I am hosting a free webinar and I would love for you to join me. The webinar will be on Wednesday 21 August and Thursday 22 August. I will be discussing all things entrepreneur, the journey, the cycle, the regrets and ways to make your life and journey easier. Register at virtualstaffondemand.com today.

Stay Driven, Stay Motivated, Stay Wise. See you tomorrow for more wisdom from my 41years of life.

Hello and welcome back to our wisdom series. In today's episode, we ponder on the question, "What do you wish you had done differently?".

As most of you remember, I used to work in a hospital. I used to ask the elderly in my unit questions like " What is the number one regret you have in your life?" , "What lessons do you wish you had learned" and " What do you wish you had done differently in your life". The answers I got were outstanding and I learned a lot from my patients.

I am where I am today because of the advice I got from a South African patient in my wing who told me to just do it when we talked about the possibility of me investing in real estate.

I recently asked my mentor, Jeff Walker, what his regrets were and he said he regretted not hiring sooner. If he had hired sooner imagine where he would be in his business venture. So for all entrepreneurs who are thinking of hiring, I have a gift for you!

I have a free webinar starting on Wednesday and I will be talking about overcoming your regrets and how you can make the most out of hiring to scale up your business. Make sure to register for this webinar as I will be diving deep into how you can hire a virtual assistant and grow your business. Register today, see you there!

'Change is inevitable but personal growth is a choice.' - Bob Proctor.

Hello and welcome to Day 20 of our wisdom series. Today's life lesson is on Personal Growth. This is an important part of life which you should strive for. It's not luxurious but it is necessary for success.

I learned this vital lesson after I arrived in Canada. We all commence at the same starting line, everything else is up to you. You can start fast or slow, or never start at all. It's really up to you. You choose what to do, it's either you take a step or leap forward, or you stay in your comfort zone. Your comfort zone might seem beautiful and cozy but nothing ever grows there. So you should never consider staying there.

I remember a quote by Dr. John Maxwell which reads. " If we're growing, we're always going to be out of our comfort zone.". I encourage you, get used to being out of your safe zone if you want to grow and be successful. Remember, the most important part about your race is finishing strong, you can still do it!

Pursue Personal Growth, Pursue Mindset Shift, Get out of your Comfort Zone, Stay Motivated, Stay Wise. See you next time for more wisdom from our 41 Years of MyLife Wisdom Series.

" You cannot go abroad without coming back a changed person."

Hello and welcome to Day 19 of our wisdom series. Today's episode is a little different. Culture shock is real people! I have experienced a lot of culture shock and today I share my most memorable and epic experience.

Whenever you relocate to a different country or continent, expect to undergo tremendous changes in your life. Meeting people from different races means you will be exposed to a lot of unknown cultures. You cannot help but react to these differences but remember to be respectful. While it's okay to not understand other people's cultures, it is vitally important to respect them.

You might get exposed to cultures you do not like, but give it time. Be open to new experiences, after all, we are all foreigners in this world.

" We are all members of a single humanity, inside our hearts, we all speak the same language, we all love our children and our parents, we all live in the same world." - Marc Forne Molne

Hello and welcome to Day 18 of our wisdom series. Living in Canada has exposed me to a lot of different people, races, and cultures. Growing up in Africa, I was only exposed to a few Asians and Caucasians. Imagine the culture shock I experienced when I arrived in Canada. So many different people. I often wondered if they had the same thoughts as I did. Hahahahaha funny right?

As I started working with different people I quickly realized that we are the same. We might have different colored skin or different skin tones but underneath we are all the same. We all pee, we all bleed the same blood, we are one people with the same destiny. We are all human, aren't we? Therefore let us treat each other with kindness, let us live in harmony and most importantly, let us love one another.

In the words of Kofi Annan, "We may have different religions, different colored skin, but we all belong to one human race. We all share the same basic values."

" It does not take money to make money." - Robert T. Kiyosaki.

Hello and welcome to Day 17 of our wisdom series. Several people ask me how they can move to Canada or any other western country in search of a better life. They feel that their life will change once they move to a better country. Although I always answer their questions, I also tell them about the many opportunities they have of making money wherever they are. It is possible to earn the same amount of money a person in Canada is making.

When I came here I had to work extra hard to be where I am today. But, it's different for other immigrants. Some of my fellow immigrants are having a hard time putting food on the table. It's never the same for everyone who leaves their home country in pursuit of a brighter future.

The greatest part about living in this time is that you can make money online and live the lifestyle you want wherever you are in the world. People can make the same income someone living in Canada makes while living in Africa. Consider making money online, there are so many opportunities for you. It will not be easy but remember to do what you have to do until you can do what you want to do.

" The biggest risk is not taking any risks...In a world that's changing quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risks." - Mark Zuckerburg.

Hello and welcome to Day 16 of our wisdom series. In today's episode, we talk about taking risks. Taking risks does not mean you are guaranteed to succeed every time and that's okay. It can go either way, you can fail to succeed. The best part is, either way, you learn something that can help you grow as a person. Many of my achievements required that I get out of my comfort zone. I moved from Zimbabwe to a foreign country, I got into the Real Estate World (I knew nothing about it), I started speaking on international events, I invested in real estate and I didn't always succeed in all of my endeavors. Whether it was investing money to help my business grow, putting myself out there, overcoming stage fright, I had to take risks and I am glad I did.

Many of us are scared of taking risks but what you need to realize is you have nothing to lose forever. You will not suffer an eternity of loss. Always ask yourself this question, " What's so bad about taking a risk?". Remember that failure is not the opposite of success, it is part of it. Life is about taking risks, if you never take a risk, you will never achieve your dreams.

Start taking risks, Overcome Your Fears, Embrace failure, its a lesson, Stay Motivated, Stay Wise and see you tomorrow.

" You never know when your life is about to change. You never know when one decision will dramatically impact your life and change the course of your destiny." - Dani Johnson.

Hello and welcome to Day 15 of our wisdom series. Decisions, decisions, decisions, that's our topic for today. Making decisions is hard but it has to be done. I decided to leave my 10month old baby in Zimbabwe so I could pursue a brighter future for myself and my family. It was not easy but it had to be done. Your life changes when you make a new, congruent and committed decision. Remember, make decisions with the long term in mind.

" The most important criterion is this: hire someone whose character and humility and attitude you would like to have reproduced in your church and in yourself." - John Ortberg

Hello and welcome to Day 14 of our wisdom series. In today's episode, we talk about hiring for character and training for skill. I have realized the meaning of Peter Schutz's, CEO of Porsche, statement. The character of a person plays a more important role when looking for the right person to join your team. The focus should lie on the individual's personality, drive, character, attitude, creative thinking, and fast learning. Specific skill sets, knowledge and understanding can be taught and learned by the person. I thought I would share this important lesson with you today. It has helped me tremendously. Do you agree with Peter Schutz and me?

“No matter where you’re from, your dreams are valid.”—Lupita Nyong’o.

Hello and welcome to Day 13 of our wisdom series. Today we talk about dreaming big. I have always been a dreamer, not just a dreamer, but a big dreamer. There are plenty of dreamers out there. And while society might work to dismiss some of us as pure noise, there are great benefits to dreaming often and dreaming big.

If you’re a dreamer like me, then you must never give up on your dream. My dream was to study in the UK and even though my mother could not afford to pay my tuition I never stopped dreaming. What did I do instead? I dreamt big. I moved from being a girl with only $5 in her pocket to being a successful entrepreneur who runs a multi-million dollar business. I am not bragging here but I am showing you that your dreams are valid and they can become true. Dreaming involves holding tight to a vision of a better life, one of success and abundance. While getting there might be difficult, having to deal with setbacks and failures along the way, it’s surely well worth it. Anyone who’s achieved a big goal knows just how true that statement is, I do.

Yet, although some of us might like to dream, we all dream differently. We don’t always hold tight to those dreams, knowing that we can and will do anything in our power to make them a reality.

The truth of the matter is that many of us give up on our dreams.

We throw in that towel when the going gets tough. We give up rather than persist through the torture and pain of another failure.

But being a dreamer isn’t about giving up. Dreaming often and dreaming big provides us with a platform for growth and success.

Remember,

And if your dreams don’t scare you, then they’re not big enough.

The only thing holding you back from achieving them is yourself. We can be our own worst enemies in so many instances, especially when we don’t believe wholeheartedly in ourselves. So, as you start your weekend, ponder on this lesson. What does it take to make your dream come true? You! Pursue your dreams and most importantly, have a vision.

Stay Motivated, Fight for your Dream, Have a Vision and Stay Wise.

"Bridging the generation gap not only increases the friend pool, but it also expands and supports mental well-being."
- Anna Kudak.

Hello and welcome to Day 12 of our wisdom series. Today we talk about Older Friends. If you are like most people, you met your friends while you were in school. This means that they are very close to your age. Most people, as a result, view friendship with older people differently. During my 41 years of life, I have come to realize that friendship with older people helped broaden perspective. Older friends not only have a lot of wisdom to share, but their maturity mentally is also a stepping stone for you. This type of friendship may require more effort and understanding but the benefits are profound. Why should I cultivate such friendships you ask?
1. Some of their self-confidence will rub off. Older people are less afraid of the opinions of others so they are more likely to say what they think.
2. They can guide you and show you the way. They have already done many things we struggle with in our personal lives, work, etc.
3. They can teach you very important life lessons. The wise counsel from my nursing days has helped me become the person I am today. The words "Just start" not only applied to my real estate business venture, but they apply to everything I do or want to do. They taught me to get out of my comfort zone and make a change in my life.

You might not have the same fashion sense or enjoy the same movies but it's a good opportunity to broaden your horizons and find friends who have the same interests as you. You will be shocked to find out we are not so different after all.

Have older friends, Stay Wise and see you tomorrow for more wisdom.

" Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.

Hello and welcome to Day 11 of our wisdom series. Today we talk about education. Someone asked Bill Gates an interesting question: "What is your best personal financial advice for people who make under $100,000 per year?" And the answer? "Invest in your education". That's a great answer and I have personally seen the fruits of investing in one's education. Benjamin Franklin once said: "If a man empties his purse into his head no one can take it away from him. An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest."

You should invest in your education, that is the best investment you could ever make. It always pays to put the time in to boost your potential. So, how can you invest in your education? Some of the ways you can invest in your education are ;
1. Getting your Diploma/ Degree
2. Buying and reading books
3. Getting a good internet connection.
4. Join an educational club.

Instead of playing video games or being on Netflix all night, read a book or invest time. What's the use of having a lot of learning resources if you don't spend time to learn from them.

" It's okay to live a life others don't understand"

Hello and welcome to Day 10 of our wisdom series. I hope you had a great weekend and you feel well-rested. In today's episode, we discuss how your normal can be abnormal to others. What I have come to realize is that no-one is normal. I can do something that feels natural to me but you might find it abnormal. The older I get, the more I understand that it's okay to live a life others might not understand because there is only one of me in the world. So I encourage you today to be you, people might find you abnormal but that's okay. You will find other people abnormal and that's okay, they are being true to themselves. Be you, don't try to fit in or be normal.

Hello and welcome to Episode 50 of She Breaks Thru Podcast.

On today’s podcast, we interview Monica Shah, a business coach for coaches, and entrepreneurs.

Having worked for L’Oreal for some time, Monica realized that she had no passion for what she was doing and recognized the need to find something that moved her in the way she saw her former boss enjoy and move up the corporate ladder. She shares how after moving from L’Oreal despite having the academic qualifications and the experience she realized that she knew very little and within twelve months was in debt based on the business side, and she had no idea what to do. She was trying one random thing after another, and no one was able to tell her what order to do them in.

Monica shares that when you leave a job and start a business, you have a massive identity shift, and in a lot of ways, it feels like a downgrade when you start the entrepreneurship journey. She struggled with being the lonely entrepreneur who couldn’t even pay her bills at the time, and she further shares how scared she got as her bills kept mounting up and had no idea how she was going to pay them off. She started doing all sorts of odd jobs to generate more income.

Monica’s turnaround came around when she felt that she had hit a rock when she found herself having turned to be a literal bag lady trying to sleep on everybody’s couches to make extra money by letting out her home. At that moment she realized that she had to figure out the money part of her business and with that realization, Monica gave herself 12 months to work on the company and failure to that she was prepared to go back to look for a job. One of the challenges of being an entrepreneur is that we end up not being employable because we want to work in our terms.

When Monica appreciated that she wasn’t doing anything to generate money, she began to focus on the things that could make her money. She paid close attention to her numbers, tracked what worked, and what didn’t, as well as identifying which activities would make money the fastest, and she hired a master coach to help her, and with those measured, she saw results which turned her business and life around. Monica shares that as an entrepreneur, you need to relentlessly focus on the things that make money because it is so easy to get distracted.

" Invest in your network"

Hello and welcome to day 9 of our wisdom series. Today we revisit the importance of your network. It's important to surround yourself with people who believe in you and your dreams. It's easy to give up on your dream when you are surrounded by negative people. They can easily bring you down along with them. Surround yourself with people who empower you, believe in you, support you, uplift you, motivate and appreciate you. These are the doers, the dreamers who take action, and the visionaries. These are the kind of people you want to keep close to you. As you rest this weekend, ponder on these lessons.

Birds of the same feather....... you know the rest.
Have Good Network, Stay Motivated, Keep Motivating and Stay Wise.

" Teachers play an important role in our lives"
Hello and welcome to Day 8 of our wisdom series. Today we talk about the importance of teachers and being a teacher yourself. When I was in Form 2 ( equivalent to Grade 8), My teacher Mrs. F Moyo was my very own cheerleader. She believed in me like no other. Mrs. F nicknamed me "the clever one" and that boosted my confidence. I only saw myself as a poor girl who had nothing going well for herself but, Mrs. F saw so much more. I learned to instill confidence in others and use my influence in their lives for good. We are all teachers in one way or another. Every one of us has something to teach or share with someone. You don't need a classroom or whiteboard to do it, you don't need a stage or a microphone either. Don't look down on yourself, you are a jewel that can change someone's life. Be a blessing in someone's life.

Stay motivated, Keep Motivating, Stay Wise. See you tomorrow for more life lessons.

"Your network is your net worth."

Hey Everyone and welcome to Day 6 of our wisdom series. Today we talk about the importance of who is in your network. I was, still, am, greatly inspired by the saying " Show me your friends and I will show you your future" If you want to increase your net worth you will have to associate yourself with people who have a high net worth. When I was starting, I used to associate myself with people just like me. As I grew in business and life, I found myself associating with like-minded people. My old friends hardly understand my problems today but my business circle understands what I am about and they understand my goals as well. In short, surround yourself with people who understand your goals and vision. Your mindset will change and chances are high your friends will change too.

Welcome to Day 5 of the WISDOM SERIES! Today, we talk about the importance of good friends. I am sure you know the phrase, " A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out.". It's important to have such friends. It may not be two or five, one is good enough, having a friend is extremely important. Life becomes more enjoyable and bearable when we have good friends around. Even one real friend can bring about a positive change in our life. Good friends give you support and guidance, it's like having your very own cheerleader! They cheer on whether you win or lose, it doesn't matter. It's also important for you to be a good friend too! Be good to your friends and be there for them through thick and thin. Stay good, stay wise. See you tomorrow!

Hey Everyone! Welcome to Day 4 of our wisdom series. Today we discuss good deeds. Although often deemed as momentary kindness, "good deeds will come back to you sooner or later". When implicated, they can create life-long impressions for those positively affected by them and it will only be so long until they show themselves in the lives of those who do them. Join me tomorrow as we continue the wisdom series.

Positive emotions are not simply happy feelings that we chase to feel momentary pleasure; like the more negative emotions, they play a significant role in everyday life.

There are many ways to define emotion, but they generally fall into one of two definitions:

  1. Emotions are a state or feeling that cannot be conjured up at will, or;
  2. Emotions are attitudes or responses to a situation or an object, like judgments.

It's important to be positive and be a positive force to the people around you. My former teacher humiliated me in front of my peers countless times and that made me develop negative emotions and a wrong mindset. I had to work on myself, with the help of others, to get to where I am today. Instead of being negative or causing other people to have negative emotions, we should strive to be positive. You must tell yourself, No matter how hard it is, or how hard it gets, I am going to make it. If you become emotionally positive, you will encourage people around you to be emotionally positive aswell. Let's build each other up instead of tear each other down. Stay Positive and see you tomorrow.

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Day Two of our wisdom series. I apologize for the long delay. We meant to upload a video a day but I had a big dilemma on day two. I could not sleep, I was stressed and I had a terrible week. But things don't always work out as planned and I remembered that my situation was not my final destination. What happened last week is a lesson on its own and I learned that no matter what happens, I should keep moving forward. It does not matter what 'what' is, from losing your phone to losing your business, KEEP GOING!. It may seem bleak now but it's not the end of your journey. I hope you take heed of this message and keep at it, you are almost there. Enjoy!

It's my birthday and I am 41 today! I decided to celebrate my birthday differently this year. I will share with you the life-changing lessons I have learned in the past years. I call this my Wisdom Series: 41 Days of my Life Lessons. So in the next 41 days, I will be sharing my life lessons and how they can propel you towards a better, brighter future.

We start off our wisdom series with a great topic today; Your current situation is not your final destination. My mother, an orphan at a very young age, had to raise 3 children on her own. Being a single mother of three is no piece of cake, especially when you are poor. When I was born, my family lived in a shack in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  One of my grandmothers asked my mother how she was going to feed me. A valid question at that. My mother was poor, very poor, so my grandmother was genuinely worried as to how I was going to be fed, clothed, etc. Taking care of a baby is not cheap either. What amazes me up to this day is my mother's response, " Angazi mama, sithembinkosi.", which means," I don't know, In God we trust." and that's how I got my name. And that's how my life began, it was rough. My sister had to quit school to take care of me and my mother struggled to support me and my siblings. Despite my hopeless situation, here I am today. In the words of Zig Ziglar, "Always remember that your present situation is not your final destination. The best is yet to come.". If the best came for me then it will definitely come for you, your story is not over yet. I refused to be defined by my past, I refused to sit back and do nothing, I had to make a change. Yes, you can make a change too. Refuse to give in to your situation, it is not your final destination.
