Scripture describes believers as being "built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit", emphasizing presence, holiness, and formation rather than efficiency, branding, or customer satisfaction. Yet many modern church models have unconsciously adopted the logic of consumer capitalism, treating worship as a product, pastors as service providers, and congregants as customers whose preferences determine success. When the Church begins to resemble a Target—measured by foot traffic, convenience, aesthetics, and retention—it risks exchanging priestly identity for retail strategy.

God builds His house by raising up spiritual family. The house of the Lord is not a brick and mortar building; it is living stones who are built together as a *resting place* for God. There are spiritual families and “tribes” within the global family, which is the Church of Jesus. There are many different experiences with the term “spiritual family.” In this episode, R.A. There is only one name that the Church is supposed to make great among the nations, the name of Jesus. Before His ascension, Jesus gave His disciples a commission that was rooted in His infinite desire for mankind and backed by the authority that was given to Him through the finished work of the cross. This commission would come to define, in this age, the mandate of the global Church. It is called the Great Commission. Sadly, the Great Commission is disappearing from the vision of the Body of Christ with recent statistics indicating upwards of 82% of churchgoers in America have not heard of, cannot identify, and cannot explain the Great Commission. We must, with all of our energy, work to Make the Great Commission Great Again.
In this episode, R.A. Martinez sits down with us to tackle the subject of “speaking in tongues,” a common expression in the Charismatic and Pentecostal movements; many of us have heard of it or maybe even practice it in part but have never heard it explained. Is there a difference between “speaking in tongues” and “praying in the Spirit”? Martinez titled "Grace and Peace" from the sermon series "The Man Among the Lampstands.” We walked through Revelation chapter 1 during the fall of 2020 at our MAPS Family Gatherings (Sunday Service). We are convinced that the most important man for the church to have her eyes on is not the man in the White House: it is the Man among the lampstands. He has an unlimited supply of grace and peace for His church in the middle of the confusion, chaos, and crisis.
