This week, we're talking to Michelle about the 1989 straight-to-VHS Lovecraftian (sorta) horror film, Beyond Dream's Door. This is our 22nd episode, and if it were TV, that would be a full season. This isn't TV, but let's call this the season finale. Michelle was our guest on episode 1, where she talked about a movie she liked, so it's fitting that we have her back to talk about one she hates.
Maybe we'll be back in a few weeks or months.
In this one, Mac and I talk about the 90s Spawn animated series, and we get a bit into Todd McFarlane's career and comics in the 90s too.
We have Michelle back on to talk about this early 90s zombie comedy. Michelle was on our first episode, where we discussed another Bob Balaban horror comedy, Parents (1989). We tried something a little different in this episode, in that we didn't do any preparation and I was in a bad mood. Enjoy!
It's a 2006 X-Men story where Dracula fights Apocalypse. Mac and I talk about it. Remember 2006? If you do, you weren't there, brother... I was reading this book.
It's Halloween time, baby! Time to listen to people you don't know talk about horror movies. This week, we're talking to Elma (@spookyphysics) about the fourth installment of the franchise that brought us Freddy Krueger. You'll have to excuse some of the audio in this episode. We recorded on location at the abandoned home of a child murderer, and the acoustics weren't great. Anyway, this is a giant-sized ep, so pace yourself.
It's the Halloween season, and we're starting off the month of October with a discussion of The Exorcist III. We speak to Cody (@aspacecodyssey) about this woefully under appreciated early 90s horror movie.
Cody is a really talented graphic designer, so if you're looking for someone to create a logo for your business or something, check out his website: querycreative.com/
I didn't feel good. Nonetheless, I struggled through TWO conversations about the just fine late 90s supernatural horror film, The Devil's Advocate.
Tom continues his conversation with Matt about the 1994 sci-fi horror film, Brainscan. This is the second part of a three-parter. For continuities sake, the Brainscan episodes will be coming out weekly, rather than every other week.
Tom speaks with Matt about the 1994 sci-fi horror film, Brainscan. Michelle sits in as well. This is the first part of a three-parter. For continuities sake, the Brainscan episodes will be coming out weekly, rather than every other week.
Tom speaks with artist and illustrator, Kaitlin Van Pelt, about the 1984 British fantasy horror film, The Company of Wolves. Check out Kaitlin's instagram @kaitlinvanpelt . She can draw your werewolf. Also joining us is Jerry.
Tom talks to James about the 1986 semi-comedic horror film, House. They're also joined by baby skeleton, Jerry.
Tom talks to a guest, Michael, about the 1988 British horror film, Lair of the White Worm. At some point in the episode, they remember what country this movie actually takes place in.
