Camron Goodman is the President of the University of Texas Student Government. He is a senior Finance major from the city of legends, Dallas, TX. Cam is devoted to paying forward the good graces he has seen in life. His friends and peers can’t help but believe in him, as he approaches every task from a place of genuine care and enthusiasm. Camron Goodman is a good man (…that’s an example of a Cam-level joke). His own struggles allowed him to develop a sense of compassion and a commitment to empowering all voices he comes across. Amie Jean is the Vice President of the University of Texas Student Government. She is a senior repping Houston, Texas ( MoCity or No City) and she is thrilled to be the Vice President of a UT x herself and her peers. Amie studies Finance and African & African Diaspora Studies. She jokes that she has also taken informal classes at the school of hard knocks where she majored in Amie.
Amie’s heart is tied to several communities on campus: she grew in spaces and with groups like Gateway Scholars, University Leadership Network, Guides of Texas, the Multicultural Engagement Center, and Texas Orange Jackets. Amie thinks your voice being seen and heard is critical for a purpose-driven experience here at UT and is excited to work with you!
Kate Lower, LCPC, BC-DMT, is the director of the SHIFT initiative at UT Austin. The mission of SHIFT is to address the university community in dialogue that changes the culture of campus substance use from one of misuse to one of well-being. SHIFT is working to create a safer culture around college life and substance use by holding student forums, and by collaborating with other on-campus counseling and health resources.
Their next event will bring in experts to focus on anything you'd want to know about vaping. It will be held on March 4th, 5:30 pm, in the Texas Union Quadrangle Room - and students are more than welcome to submit questions and attend.

Yoon Lee is a Senior at the University of Texas studying Management Information Systems. He has created an app specifically aimed at students looking to find interesting friends outside of their usual friend groups at college. The app specifically is geared at connecting with people at a level beyond superficial looks or stereotypes.
