A weekly podcast designed to various issues from the perspective of a young black woman in this society. Often times we are comfortable living on the surface and my desire is to go deeper in order to make a change and empower others.
In this episode, we go below the surface with Chef Green, the "food therapist" who has used food to help herself and others heal. She discusses her relationship with food and healing, as well as what she is doing in the community to assist her family and others in healing holistically. She provides some educational food information as well as a very interesting perspective on diets.

"Cry me a river, build a bridge, and get over it," we used to say when I was a kid. That saying now has a completely different meaning, and I had to change it. Now that I've crossed the bridge, I might have to set it on fire. People say that burning bridges is a bad thing, but once a bridge is burned, there is no turning back, and if the goal is to move forward, it is sometimes necessary to burn what is already there. Let us go below the surface of dealing with our past and examine it with new eyes. Today, I'm sharing my story in the hopes that it will inspire others to burn a bridge they've crossed too many times. We've all been there, and for some of us, it's been impossible to get across.

I discuss my experience dealing with unavailable men and what it says about me. Join me your host, Terri Wilkinson as I again got below the surface.
