Inspired to increase the recognition of the voices and power of women in marketing, martech and technology, Women of Martech was launched on April 1, 2020 by co-founders Kathy Bryan, CMO and Melissa Ledesma, VP of Communications of Digital Media Solutions. 

With a mission to promote and amplify women for their successes, contributions and innovations Women of Martech set a goal of 250 members in twelve months. WOM received more than 250 new member applications in less than 5 weeks! Fast-forward two years later, WOM represents now more than 1,200 women and allies in 22 countries.

In this episode, Women of Martech Executive Director Melissa Ledesma chats with entrepreneur and disability activist, Keely Cat-Wells. Keely is thefounder and CEO of C Talent, a company that represents high-profile Deaf & Disabled talent. Keely says, "C Talent was born after I became disabled in my teens and lost a job due to ableism."

During this interview, Keely discusses the difference between accessibility and equality and the importance of representation of the disabled community beyond the typical personas of villains and victims in media and marketing. Keely highlights who inspired her in her journey and provides recommendations for other women who are considering making a major change in their lives.
