Evangelism isn’t a performance, a program, or a pressure tactic—and it was never meant to be.
In this episode, a men’s Bible study group walks through Evangelism (9Marks) and wrestles honestly with what it really means to share the gospel in everyday life. This is a raw, unscripted conversation about practical evangelism, church culture, altar calls, discipleship, and why most Christians feel either guilty or paralyzed when it comes to sharing their faith.
We talk about:
- Why evangelism is persuasion, not manipulation
- Why you can’t “talk someone into” following Jesus
- The danger of confusing decisions with discipleship
- Evangelism as a long game, not a microwave moment
- Living as ambassadors for Christ at work, at home, and in failure
- Why authenticity matters more than polish
- How churches can build a culture of evangelism, not just programs
- Why actions open doors—but the gospel still requires words
- This episode is for anyone who:
- Feels awkward or afraid to share their faith
- Is tired of gimmicks and performance-driven Christianity
- Wants to live out the gospel in real life, not just Sunday morning
- Believes evangelism should look like presence, humility, and truth

In this episode of The Dad Show Bible Study, we dive deep into the book "Biblical Theology" by Nick Roark and Robert Cline from the 9Marks series.
This conversation explores how the entire story of the Bible — from Genesis to Revelation — centers on one person: Jesus Christ.
We unpack common errors churches fall into (like the civil gospel, prosperity gospel, or moralism), and how detaching scripture from its context leads to dangerous theology. We also talk about what it means to faithfully interpret scripture as dads, leaders, and believers.
🔥 Topics Covered:
- Why proof-texting is dangerous
- How to keep Christ at the center of biblical interpretation
- What the Bible is really about (hint: it’s not us)
- Legacy leadership as Christian fathers
- Understanding types, shadows, and fulfillment in Christ
- How men can study the Bible deeply and lead their families in truth

Welcome to the first ever men’s Bible study session on The Dad Show. After months of talk, we finally hit record and dove into our launchpad book: What Is the Gospel? by Greg Gilbert.
This episode is more than just Bible talk — it's raw brotherhood, real questions, and spiritual grit. We open up about why we started with this book instead of jumping straight into Scripture, and how the gospel isn’t just a Sunday school answer — it’s the power of God that transforms men into kingdom leaders.
From asking “When should I share the gospel at work?” to tackling the heart of male spiritual apathy, this conversation lays the groundwork for everything that’s coming. If you’ve ever felt stagnant, confused about what the gospel really is, or frustrated with watered-down Christianity — this is the table we’re building for you.
Whether you're a new believer or just tired of spiritual surface-level, this one's for you.

Episode 19 of The Dad Show is a little different. This time, my wife Allie and I had the privilege of sitting down with Pastor Phillip Martin from The Grove Church for their podcast, Tales From The Other Side: Stories of Grace. While the focus of the episode is to raise awareness for MPS 1 Hurler Syndrome and support The Kennedy Ladd Foundation, we found ourselves diving into a lot of different conversations along the way.
In this heartfelt episode, Ryan and Allie Ladd open up about their journey with MPS 1 Hurler Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder affecting their daughter, Kennedy. They share the raw realities of their experience, from the initial diagnosis to the ongoing treatments, offering an honest and vulnerable look into the highs and lows of their life.
The episode explores the emotional rollercoaster, the medical hurdles, and the powerful moments of hope and resilience that have marked their path. Through it all, their story is a testament to the strength of family, the importance of advocacy, and the unwavering support of a community.
Join us for an inspiring conversation about faith, love, and determination—and how these values have lit the way through the most challenging moments of their journey. This episode is a powerful reminder of how one family's fight can inspire so many others.

Living the sermon through the tragedy is exactly what Pastor Willie Gallaher and Pastor Neil Crass have done. On May 30th, 2014 their children were involved in a terrible car accident. In this episode we dive deep into that night and the hours, days, weeks following. We also go into detail on how these man value their family, their church, and their faith and how they juggle their time with all of those.
