I recently listened to a podcast by Rachel Rodgers where she read an excerpt from her book. The title of the book fascinated me because I wasn’t sure I agreed with her. The more I thought about it I realized that she was right. We should all be millionaires.
In today’s episode I’m going to talk about:

There are so many things that I’ve prayed for and watched come to pass. There are so many things that you’ve asked God for and they finally come true. But when you get them you don’t feel the joy that you thought you should. To be honest you feel overwhelmed by the very thing that you prayed for and received.

We all want to be rich. Or maybe that’s just me. I sometimes think about all the things I could do if I just had more zeros in my bank account. But sadly I’m not rich(yet) and won’t be any time soon. Unless you were born wealthy or got a huge windfall then you’re probably going to be like me. Learning how to master your money one step at a time.

I used to be a motivation junkie. I’d listen to books, speeches and videos constantly chasing inspiration and motivation. Always thinking that if I just listened to another video I’d get this life that everyone kept talking about.
I was wrong.
I’d listen, take notes, but never did the work. My life never changed because I wasn’t changing. It wasn’t about listening to another motivational speech it was actually about my lack of implementation.

We’ve all done something stupid with our money and I’m no different. I’ve made a lot of mistakes with money and this one thing is what has caused me the most stress when it comes to my finances.

So many things are distracting us from what we really want to do in life. So many things are vying for our attention. Wouldn’t it be nice if we only did the things that mattered? Wouldn’t it be amazing if we only focused on the things that actually brought us closer to our goals?

Are you overwhelmed with all the things you have to do with your money? Is every financial expert telling you to do different things? I’ve been there and I’ve done that. I listened to a lot of people and was still confused about what to do with my money. Then one day I learned the necessity of doing one thing at a time.

We’re trying to do all the things and be all the things to everyone. We’re not happy, not content and tired. How do we change that? How do we have more joy, more peace and love our lives?

For most of us we have our financial plan all laid out. We are thinking about how quickly we can get to a million dollars and have financial freedom. What if I told you that giving is one of the quickest ways to get there.

While having a conversation with a friend the discussion of attending church came up. Do we really have to go to church? Are you a real believer if you don’t attend? Is God displeased when we don’t attend church? Those were some of the things we talked about.

We all have financial goals we’re trying to achieve. Some of us want to get out of debt, some of us want to build a 6 figure business, but we just can’t get there. There seems to be something holding us back.
You might not have heard of money blocks, but I’m sure you’re familiar with one or all of them. In today’s episode I’m going to talk about money blocks and why they're holding you back from really achieving your financial goals.

We often read the scripture that says “Abide in me, and I in you”(John 15:4), but for many of us we just don’t know what that means or even how to do it.
Reading it sounds super deep, but what is Jesus really calling us to do here? How do we abide in Him?

Money is easy.
That statement sounds ridiculous, but it’s the truth. When you figure out how to simplify your money then it’ll be easy for you.
No fancy spreadsheets, no crazy calculations. Just a pen and some paper. You and God doing this work together.

What if you could do less and gain more? What if you could do less work and become more productive, more peaceful, and maybe more content. You could actually do the things that you said you want to do in your life.
So many of us are racing towards what we think is success, but let’s be honest a lot of us are exhausted. We want to stop running and walk towards freedom.

God’s word was given to us to encourage, inspire and lead us to become better believers and human beings. When we study we stretch our spiritual, emotional and mental muscles. We grow deeper in our relationship with God and we mature as people.

We (meaning believers and followers of Jesus Christ) have all said at some point that we need to spend more time with God. We need to focus on Him.
Have you ever said this? Too often life takes over and our best made plans at the top of the year or any time of the year really have us forgetting that we even said we’d spend time with God.

Who are you? What do you believe?
After reading James Clear’s Atomic Habits the topic of identity weighed heavily on me. He describes having a strong sense of beliefs reveals our identity. This identity shapes who we are and what we will or won't achieve.
I had to step back and think about how this relates to me being a believer in Jesus Christ. Does what we believe really affect how we see ourselves?

I recently listened to James Clear’s book Atomic Habits. It solidified a lot of what I’ve been thinking about this last year. In a nutshell his book can be summarized like this:
BUILD GOOD HABITS
The things you do today will stick with you basically forever. In his book, Clear points out that habits are what will get us from where we are to where we want to be. And our habits are also the cause of why nothing has changed in our lives.

The new year always brings that feeling of refreshing. For many people they want to throw out the old and bring on the new. That might be making goals, creating new routines and habits.

So many people are talking about living intentionally. Honestly we're all living intentionally - whether we like the results or not. Before you make another resolution to change something about yourself or your weight or your relationships I want you to really think about what living intentionally means to you.

This last year was a year. It was literally the best of times and the worst of times. But we all got the choice and the challenge to live through a year that changed us.
We got to decide if the year would make or break us. For some it was wins all around for others there was deep loss.

What if we were completely ourselves - ALL. THE. TIME.
Everyone says that they’re being themselves. Living their own truth, but do you believe that?
I think we’re living some version of truth. Shaped by society, our background, our life experiences, but not necessarily living authentically.
It truly takes courage to be uniquely you. To be the person God designed and destined for this moment.

I woke up one day and the weight of my debt made me feel like I was barely breathing. I knew something had to change, but where to start. How could I get information about changing my current situation?
I started off like most millennials and their money - knowing absolutely nothing. Today I’m debt free and an investor. All it took was owning my story and wanting to be different from what I had known.

This is a topic that I’ve come to learn that many within the Christian faith don’t want to acknowledge. I mean who really wants to say they believe and follow Jesus Christ, but they’re depressed.
Absolutely no one.
I used to think something was wrong with me. Having walked this journey for several years I’ve learned that the best gift you can give yourself is acknowledging these emotions and getting help and support.

Gone are the days when we could afford to have a job for 20 or 30 years and retire with a pension that paid us until we died. Those days as we’ve seen over the last decade or so are dust in the wind. It’s time for us to do what the wealthy have perfected and that’s have multiple streams of income.
I believe that everyone should be an investor. Whether you’re a newbie or a bit savvy, everyone should be investing in their future by creating another stream of income.

Most people believe that a financial plan is scary. They think that they need a complex spreadsheet to help make huge money decisions, but that’s really not true.

We’re living in a culture of busyness. Being busy is like a badge of honor. So many of us are drowning in a sea of overwhelm and can’t even come up for air. We constantly believe the lie that as women we need to do it all.
Does this sound like you? This was me for a long time.
I was sold that lie and felt overwhelmed, anxious and often depressed. I’m asking you in today’s episode to lay down all the things and pick up God’s game plan for your life. This season of life God isn’t calling us to do everything. As a matter of fact, He never did.

I’ve had all the planners, all the productivity apps, all the task managers and they basically got me nowhere. It wasn’t until I realized that the apps and planners didn’t matter it was the system that really made the difference.
What got me from planning my goals in pretty planners to actually executing and now building some of my best days is having actual systems that work. Systems are everywhere in your life whether you want to believe that or not. The life you’re living right now is based on the habits, routines and schedules that you’ve allowed to take up space in your life.

Motivation isn’t what you think it is. I know a lot of people tell you to just get motivated, but it never lasts. Recently I wrote down all my goals for the next year and the next day I didn’t rush to do anything. Instead I just sat in the overwhelm.
My brain was scattered, I spent the day watching Luther on Amazon Prime and honestly I couldn’t see past this long list that I'd written down. I ended up taking the time to verbalize what was going on with me and the answer I got actually surprised me.

I asked this question on my personal facebook page - what’s your biggest challenge in studying the bible. I got so many responses, but the main thread was that finding time to read much less study the bible was hard for most people AND a lot of people don’t even know where to start.
The bible is dense and packed with so much information and practical tips for living your daily life. But it can seem like you just don’t know where to start. I can tell you that God wants you to read His word.God wants you to know what He says about you, your identity and where you need to go in life.
Today I’m breaking down:
I also share a special message at the end where we can study and grow in the Word together. As always thank you for listening, subscribe to the podcast and connect with us on

I thought about this question for so many days - does God want us to have goals? We see so many people telling us to have goals and dreams and pursue them. Some even tell us to pursue them at all costs. But is this biblical? Is that really what God wants? Are goals the things that God wants us to focus on.
In this social media driven world success tends to look like achievement after achievement. But for us - believers in Christ - what does success look like. For us our vision and goals should first be rooted in what God has for us.

What if I wrote you a check for $38 million? What’s the first thing you would do and who would you bless? This is a question that I asked a former colleague of mine at work one day. He shared with me exactly what he would do if I wrote that check.
I’m sharing today that you’ve been given that check already. You might have more or less than those around you. But the fact remains God already wrote you a check - that check is your time here on earth. If you were to really look at your time like money the questions would be the same. Ask yourself - what would you do and who would you bless?

I see this everywhere - Christians compromising in their beliefs. They have moved away from the gospel and have embraced so many other things than what God says. The church today has dabbled in so many wordly practices and it’s time for us to think about where we’re going and how to turn back. This topic has been burning in my belly for months now. It grieves my heart to see the body of Christ turning away from what God has told us to do and slowly embracing views and practices from the secular world.

In this episode, I’m talking about what it really means to become fearless.
I truly believe that God wants us to live a life of faith. There’s no room for fear when you fully trust Him. What’s that thing that He’s asked you to do that you’ve let fear stop you from moving forward. How are you moving past it, releasing all fear and walking in obedience to what you’re supposed to be doing. This is truly a season to be faith filled and fear less.
