“The Insignificant Diary of a Burden Named Phoenix” is a series of chapters written by singer-songwriter, Amelia Presley. It chronicles the tormented life of a child who is severely abused physically and mentally from a very young age. Each week a new chapter will be read. Warning: This is meant to serve as a form of therapy and awareness, but may be a trigger for those who have experienced abuse themselves.
This is the longest podcast to date because I wanted to give a timeline and more details about everything that has come about due to this podcast. The chapters read afterwards detail how Phoenix is forced into adoption, and how Phoenix seeks Mara’s approval to no avail.

In Chapter 9, Phoenix finds out that she has a half brother who is trying to reach her. In Chapter 10, Phoenix is scolded for painting “dark art”, Catherine May attempts to jump from a moving vehicle as Mara swerves furiously all over the road out of anger, and the three eventually do end up in a car wreck.
