Field Trips are one-shot RPG sessions of various systems with a focus on fun/silly gameplay. The Legend of the Five Rings being the notable exception. These are often 3-5 episodes from a single session. For outrageous silliness I suggest you try G.I. Joshu, Tearable 80’s Action Flick or Savage Ghostbusters and if you are a fan of Scooby Doo, try our Scooby Halloween Special
Enjoy this special one off episode of a not so Super team using the FATE gaming system.

Hello and welcome to A special edition our Field Trips. For this Field Trip we jump back once again to my childhood and the 1982* cartoon Challenge of the Super-Friends but we do it by the cracked mirror of Wushu so this is Challenge of the Wushuper Friends.
*turns out this cartoon was from the 70's but i'm quite sure I watched it in the early 80's and we really screw up the timeline anyway - so just don't worry about it.
For our Halloween special we have once again enlisted the playing and vocal talents of Associate Professor and friend of the show Andrew Young ( @ThatOneGM) and regular Faculty Member Matt Parody (@MattParody) and Scott B. (@GeoWtf).
I hope you enjoy!

Hello and welcome to another exciting Field Trip from The RPG Academy Podcast. This time we are heading into the land of Imperiums a campaign setting for Pathfinder and now on Kickstarter to be converted to D&D 5e.
Vasiley's Woe is the second of four interconnected modules that make up an entire campaign arc. The first of the four, Feast Hall of Ash, was featured on One Shot Podcast and you can listen to those episodes here. It's not necessary to do so as we are not strictly continuing that story and our characters are newly introduced. But it's a great module and One Shot always does a good job. It's worth a listen.
As mentioned above, there is currently a Kickstarter to fund this campaign series to are converted to D&D 5E. It has already funded but can always use some extra love. Please go and check it out here
William, the author of this campaign series will also be at AcadeCon 2016. Look for him there.
Please note: This is a Pathfinder module and it has been a long time since I ran D&D 3.5. I've never run Pathfinder. I made mistakes with the rules. Please associate those with us and not the module.
Comments and Feedback are always welcome.

Hello Students! Crunch here with the conclusion of our excursion into the Wushu-powered Lovecraftian world of DISK. Devon and Matthew wrap up their assignment and a few very surprising things happen.
We had so much fun creating this world that we will probably continue to build and develop the setting in the future. Stay tuned for more creepy bug-powerd secret organization shenanigans. Who knows...maybe DISK will show up at AcadeCon this November. Make sure to grab a badge if you haven't already. They're on sale here.
Thanks for listening!

Hello Students! Crunch here with a bonus episode while our fearless leader is away at Origins. There are actually quite a few Network members at Origins this year, so make sure you hunt them down play some games.
In this episode, I am joined by Devon from the Shark Bone Podcast and Faculty Member Matthew. We came up with a crazy setting that's a little bit Ghostbusters, a little bit MIB, and a little bit Lovecraft. With the glory that is Wushu, we made up everything in about 20 minutes before we started playing. We had a ton of fun playing this game and we hope you have just as much fun listening! Let us know what you think!

This episode is the second half of our second night of game play.It was supposed to be a one-shot but it ran long and turned into 2-shot. For this game we have: Me Michael aka Prof Fluff as your Game Master @TheRPGAcademy Rocky as Cyrax the Clockwork @LaffinJoker Nick as Colton the Keeper of the baby @Crispy951 Travis as Rook as the “Other Human” @Notourtravis and Ryan as Bork the slightly cannibal goblin @TeleportaComments and Feedback are always welcome.

Hello and welcome to A Field Trip into a Tearable 80's Action Flick. In this episode we are joined by Network member and Associate Professor Jim McClure (of Talking Tabletop ) as well as Emily from Talking Tabletop Hero's Journey as we try out Jim's new rules lite game system: The Tearable RPG. Originally written (or wrotten - if you prefer) for a 200 word RPG design contest, the Tearable RPG has been refined. It is sill super simple and fun. Essentially you write any 6 skills you want on a regular sheet of paper. To use a skill you have to tear a piece of your character sheet off - which there are rules as to how you can do this and how big of piece must be ripped) and if you succeed so does your action. That's it. Like most rules light system is favors over of the top silly play - which is perfect for our group.
Jim - the Game Master = @GMJimMclure
Emily - Trixie - Not on twitter
Brad - Slick McGee - @ForceandDestiny
Travis - Barry = @notourtravis
Ryan - Moose = @teleporta
Michael - Garth "G Man" = @TheRpgAcademy
If you'd like to try out the Tear-able RPG at your table you can grab copy for Pay what you want (I.e. Free) at Drivethru RPG here!

Hello and welcome to A Field Trip to Mid-town High. A fictional High School in New York City and site of an impending disaster. We're playing TSR's Marvel Super Heroes RPG known as FASERIP. The Field Trip is the newest Actual Play series of podcasts from The Rpg Academy. In the Field trip we'll be using a different set of systems and a revolving cast of players for a series of one-off / One-shot adventures. Unlike The Trials which are focused on learning the rules of the system a Field Trip is just about the adventure - so rules may or may not be used correctly.
For our this field trip we go back to 1984 in the Marvel Universe as the students of Mid-town High assemble for a D.A.R.E Lecture

Unlike The Trials which are focused on learning the rules of the system a Field Trip is just about the adventure - so rules may or may not be used correctly.
For our first Field Trip Rocky (@LaffinJoker) takes our characters into the city of Red Larch which is the opening section of the Princes of the Apocalypse module for DnD 5e - so Spoiler alert if you have not yet read or played that module and plan on it.
Our cast for this adventure
Michael F (@Verjaeger1) playing a Water Genasi Cleric named Saltabe
Jared (@Jman091510) playing an Earth Genasi Druid named Bantor
Michael (@TheRpgAcademy) playing a Fire Genasi Wild-magic Sorceror named Val'Sean
I am continuing to work at adding sound effects, thanks mostly to @BattleBards but for this series I had to also find some sounds on-line at Freesound.org and TabletopAudio

Hello and welcome to the Campaigns, the Actual Play Podcasts from The Rpg Academy. I am Michael and this is the Campaigns: Burning the Wicker Man, episode 3 - Hit a snag
This is a special bonus series of games being DM'd by Chris Matney of Trapdoor Technologies. They are the minds behind Codename: Morningstar. Please take a look at their Kickstarter Page HERE and see if you can find a pledge level for you and kick them a few bucks.
Chris agreed to run my regular Roll20 group (Matt, Scott and Caleb G. and I ) through a one-shot adventure called Burning The Wicker Man. This game is played using the Savage Worlds game system and the Realms of Cthulhu campaign Setting.

Hello and welcome to The Campaigns, the Actual Play podcasts from The Rpg Academy. I am Michael and this is The Campaigns: Rocky 1-shot Ep 3: Thok Waz here!
After our first session of Lost Mines of Phandelver, we were going to start back up, but 2 of our players from the first game (Nick & Travis) were missing and we had 2 new players (Brad and Brad) and my new PC (RIP Mal'Thren) so Rocky wrote a one-shot adventure to get our new PC's caught up to the original group so we could continue the module. We decided to scrap that module but I thought it would be fun to release this one-shot with Rocky as the DM.
As always, thanks for listening. We hope you enjoy.
