Mind mapping is a fabulous way to both start, and move yourself through any large project or event. You’ll go from mind-racing-with-ideas-and-tasks to “mind streamlined” in a matter of minutes. Mind mapping helps you to create the map or blueprint you need to start and finish the project. It becomes your guide that assists you in deciding what to do in which order. Ultimately, it helps to reduce overwhelm related to the magnitude or time crunch of any project or event. In this episode, I breakdown how mind mapping works by looking at two specific examples from life - throwing a birthday party for your kid, partner, friend or family member, as well as a school fundraiser type project that I was recently involved in. Listen and learn how mind mapping can take your next project or event from “Jumbled to Streamlined.” If you haven’t yet, download the accompanying worksheets for this season of the Erin Chase Show at: erinchase.io/podcast
The Sunday Setup began to happen on my desk on a weekly basis about 10 years ago. I divided my life (and week) into categories and made a goal for each category. Eventually, I merged a quick sketch of my meal plan on the same page. And as I’ve progressed on my money journey and achieving personal finance goals, I added a money section. And it’s just perfect as it is. The Sunday Setup is meant to help you look ahead from a ‘high level’ at your week. It helps you: plan your meals around your busy schedule, identify upcoming, out of the ordinary expenses, and it helps you get crystal clear on the simple goals and tasks you wish to accomplish. The Sunday Setup is a fabulous way to map out your week, and do your best to plan for what’s coming your way. I have an example of the Sunday Setup for you to try in this season’s episode worksheet pack. You can download the worksheets for this season of the Erin Chase Show at: erinchase.io/podcast
Today we talked about money. Wait, don’t delete this episode just yet. I need you to hear this. Money can be such a taboo topic, but it’s an important one that deserves being talked about. In this episode, I’m going to share my money mistakes, the importance of habits and tracking your money journey. And of course, I will show you how PIE applies to being intentional with the way we handle money and achieve our financial goals. While I’m very focused on the“grocery line item of your budget, I ultimately care about your entire money picture. It just so happens that the grocery store is the easiest place to find money. (More on that in the episode!) Preface - Money is messy. Money has baggage. Money is emotional. Apparently, money needs a therapist. Or, maybe we need a money therapist?! What we really need to know is where all the money goes...every day! And that is why you need to listen to this episode, learn from my mistakes, and decide the next steps to take in your money journey! I had a major lightbulb moment after hearing some wisdom from my stepdad. And this shift in the way that I think about cleaning and laundry has been so freeing! I’m sharing that shift with you today, as well as several practical ways to make cleaning and laundry easier and less UGH-like. This is the 2nd episode in a 2-episode series on maintaining an Intentional Home. The last episode was all about the kitchen, and here we are now talking about laundry and cleaning. Let’s flip the switch on how we think and act when it comes to cleaning and laundry. Please download the accompanying worksheets for this season of the Erin Chase Show at: erinchase.io/podcast
Have you ever thought about what would happen if you ran your home kitchen like a commercial or restaurant kitchen?! I mean, I know that you don’t have line cooks and expeditors, and a lead chef...but what would happen if you organized your kitchen in such a way that everyone knew where everything went. It’s crucial that a kitchen be well organized and laid out, so that it functions at its best. Even one wrong thing out of place can send a wrench into your meal prep. An organized pantry makes meal planning easier...and likely that you won’t be missing an ingredient. In this first episode in a 2-part series, we’re looking at home organization and specifically the kitchen. In the next episode, it’s all about cleaning and laundry systems and organization. If you haven’t yet, download the accompanying worksheets for this season of the Erin Chase Show at: erinchase.io/podcast
This episode is part 2 of the Intentional Body “series” here on the Erin Chase Show. If you haven’t listened to the previous episode, do that first and then listen here. We are flipping to the rest and renewal side of fitness. Because after you move, you need to rest. Mix in all of other life’s demands on your energy and body and sometimes you end up being forced to rest. What if we did a better job of planning our rest? What if we made rest and renewal part of our daily, weekly, and monthly routines? We will look at the importance of rest, and how to be intentional about including it into our schedule and routines, given all that life throws at us. And with every episode, we will eat a piece of PIE as it applies to rest, and take a look at how we should think, feel and take action around the concept of rest. (Yes, I realize that sounds oxymoronic.) Download the accompanying worksheets for this season of the Erin Chase Show at: erinchase.io/podcast
No, I’m not going to ask you to run. Unless you want to, or love to, or think you should try it. In this 1st episode of a 2 part “Intentional Body” series, we’re going to chat about moving your body with purpose and intention. Fitness is crucial to living an intentional life, as you want your physical body to be “fit” for the journey. Fitness is part movement and part rest, and in this first episode of this 2-parter, we will look at the movement component. I’m sharing why fitness is important to me and why it should be important to you. I’m also going to walk you through several different “fitness personas” and offer some ideas for different free and paid fitness programs/apps to consider. Finally, we will look at PIE and how to set yourself up with realistic and practical fitness goals. In this final episode of season 2, I’m talking you through more examples and scenarios of “PIE” and how you can bake it into your thoughts and day-to-day.
I want this episode to help you become a PIE-ologist, and to help you see how important and impactful it can be as you live with intention.
I’ll share specific examples from my life, work, finances, health and family.

Saving money on food is tough...because we have to eat everyday. We tend to get complacent and don’t realize our overspending until it’s too late.
I want to teach you my favorite way to stop wasting money on food. Make-Ahead Freezer meals! In this episode, we will unpack why they work, how they work, what the MyFreezEasy strategy is and how it works in your kitchen.

This is part 2 of 2 episodes about your time and schedule. If you haven’t listened to Season 2, Episode 4, I would recommend listening to that first.
In this episode, we face the harsh and convicting reality that how we spend our time and money isn’t always aligned with our life’s values. I want to tell you more about what happens when we start to work WITH our schedules, change the way we think about time, and why your time and schedule needs boundaries.

Wavve - how you spend your time, is it aligned with your values
Wavve #2 - recap of think-feel-take action explanation
This is part 1 of 2 episodes about your time and schedule.
We’re first going to look at how to design your day, plus an important time management and productivity strategy - time blocking.
I’ll teach you why and how I “sandwich” my day, and also how “PIE” applies to redesigning your day. I also want to help you turn off all the negative things we tell ourselves about the time we have, and flip those thoughts into a positive and forward thinking pattern.
Don't forget to download the worksheets and work through them with me: www.erinchase.io/podcast
Wavve - negative to positive thinking about time
In this episode, we will define habits, look at why some habits fail and others succeed, as well as how habits are like the stock market.
We will apply my intentional living recipe - “P.I.E” to habits, so that you can see how important habits are to accelerating the intentional living journey. There is much to discuss about habits, and we will dive right into it all in this episode.

I think most people typically think business when they hear - mission, vision, and values. But why not consider and work out what this means for your personal life?
Do you and your family have a personal mission, vision and values statements? If not, this episode (and the worksheets!) will help you get started on creating these statements.
You can use them to stay centered and focused on the right path. Having these in order and written down helps prescribe intention to everything you do. Take some time to listen, sit and think, reflect and seek clarity as we unpack these important statements in this episode.

Wavve - formulaic approach to the mission statement
Yes, it’s really possible. You can work yourself out of the dinner cooking gig...when you teach your kids to cook for your family. In this episode, I’m sharing my proven strategy for teaching kids how to cook, along with important reasons why they need to learn how to cook. I’m also sharing a list of different types of tasks that kids can complete in the kitchen, based on their age and maturity level.
Finally, I’m sharing about my new kids cooking curriculum where we teach your kids how to cook for you. Yes, you read that right!

Wavve - what to do when learning to cook goes wrong
Something irking you?! It's time to HACK it. And I don't mean get rid of it - although that is one approach. Life has a way of bringing challenges our way - from minute to mountainous. For some of these challenges, we can hack our way right through them. This episode is all about simple hacks and I'm sharing a few practical examples, including the why and the results from the changes made.
Find out one of the smartest things I've ever done as a mom. The dividends of this hack have paid me back a thousand fold. It's not just about hacks for ourselves, but hacks to help our people too. The idea is to smooth things out in your day to day so that you can focus your time and energy on other areas. Let's work our way through this and redefine how we can THINK, FEEL and TAKE ACTION on the little things in life that irk us.

You might be wondering about the effects of this quarantine on me, after reading that title! Really - I'm good. I want you to focus on the HOW TO of the title. And then replace the "eat an elephant" with...ACCOMPLISH BIG GOALS. That's right, this 6th episode of the 1st series is all about working towards and achieving goals or completing tasks and projects. We will define your "elephant," and how to take action on your big dreams and goals, how to start and how to finish ahead of your deadline?!? You eat the elephant ONE BITE AT A TIME.
I'm sharing my current "elephant" and how we are working towards completing this goal. I hope this concept and perspective helps you keep moving towards your accomplishing your goals and dreams!
And like every other episode, I share practical ways to look at your big goals and start taking steps to achieve them. We apply the "P.I.E. framework" to achieving goals and we look at how to flip the way you THINK, FEEL and TAKE ACTION on your goals.

When disruption, loss or unexpected crises happen in our lives, we are faced with a wide variety of thoughts and feelings. In this episode, recorded in week 6 of the global pandemic and quarantine, I want to walk you through how to be intentional when we are kicked back into "survival mode" as a result of massive disruption in our lives. Let's talk about the waves we need to ride, along with some practical words and ways to walk with intention through the mess and sludge of a crisis.

In this episode, we look at the following: what is overwhelm, what causes overwhelm, what contributes to overwhelm, how to recognize overwhelm coming, and how "P-I-E" will help you work your way through the swirl and tornado of overwhelm.
I'm unpacking all of this as it relates to prioritizing, time management, and taking action through the overwhelm.
Finally, I've got 3 practical ways to help you slice right through the overwhelm you feel in your life. THIS IS ALL REALLY IMPORTANT and I desperately want you to listen and learn!

It’s time to take a closer look at the 4-6 pm window in your day and why dinner prep makes us feel so frazzled. 5 pm rolls around and the DREAD descends in your mind and your body. DINNER - gah! I don’t wanna cook. I hate to cook. I just don’t feel like it. I don’t wanna deal with the whining about setting the table or cleanup chores. There’s a reason it’s called the witching hour. And I want to help you become GLINDA. No more wicked witch of the west for you. Let’s get transformed into the lovely good witch of the South! In this episode, we will talk about 3 practical strategies to help you float through the witching hour. When you work WITH (not against) your schedule, you work WITH (not against) your people, and when you set the right boundaries, you’ll start to feel more confident in your dinner prep time and more connected with your family around the inner table. In this episode, we are going to talk about why "What's for dinner?!" makes us cringe...and how to stay one step ahead.
The struggle is real. We all have at least one, but likely many more than that. Especially in the area of dinner. Picky eaters, power struggles, not enough time… the list could go on forever!
When the struggle with dinner gets to be too much, we often fall into the convenience trap or the fast-food trap. Which is easy. But then the guilt starts to trickle in because you've spent too much money, or because you know what you just fed your family isn't the healthiest.
Let's talk about how to be more intentional about the dinner hour. Because we want to spend more time back at the dinner table. We want to enjoy a meal with our family.
I’d love for you to subscribe to the show in your podcast player, leave a comment, rate and review, and/or share with someone you know. Finally, download the accompanying worksheets for this series at www.erinchase.io/podcast.

The Best Ever Pie Recipe - it’s a secret recipe to help you with the how of creating balance in your life. P-I-E is the framework that I teach and when you “bake it” into your life, you’ll find yourself speeding along in your intentional living journey. P-I-E is a structure and flow you can apply to every area of your life, and in this episode I’ll be sharing practical examples of how you can make this work for you. My challenge to you is….how can you bake this pie into your life?? Find at least one area in your life you can begin infiltrating this recipe into. Accomplishment and confidence, here we come!! I’d love for you to subscribe to the show in your podcast player, leave a comment, rate and review, and/or share with someone you know. Finally, download the accompanying worksheets for this series at www.erinchase.io/podcast. Until next episode, my friend!
Would you, could you, should you have it all? In this first episode, we take a close look at the tough question of "can you have it all?!" Having it all...Sounds delightful. But what does that even mean?! I think it depends on how you look at it. To me, it's a matter of function rather than feeling. I think it means that things are in order. Life is (mostly) smooth. I also think you can have it all together... but still have struggles and crummy days. Let’s dive in and talk about the what, who, why of creating your all. I’d love for you to subscribe to the show in your podcast player, leave a comment, rate and review, and/or share with someone you know. Finally, download the accompanying worksheets for this series at www.erinchase.io/podcast. Until next episode, my friend!
