Andre L. Sullivan got to talk with Boston native Connor Strachan in the locker room. A former member of the Boston College Eagles, looking to make the Jaguars squad. An avid food lover and a great fisher. Strachan, who has been living out of a hotel during training camp, has grown to love his new home in Jacksonville and has frequent the beach quite often. In this edition of Outside The Huddle: Producer Zac Rothrock spoke with Jaguars Rookie Wide Receiver Michael Walker about adjusting to life in the NFL. Michael plans on living in a house this season with fellow Jaguars Gardner Minshew, Andrew Wingard, and fellow Boston College Golden Eagle Connor Strachen. Walker also had an uncle who played in the MLB and currently serves as the Toronto Blue Jays pitching coach, he explains how having a professional athlete in the family has helped him prepare for day-to-day life in the NFL.
Rookie Gardner Minshew looks poised to win the backup QB role for the jaguars this season. Gardner Played high school in Mississippi before playing college ball for three different colleges. Minshew started his collegiate career at Northwest Mississippi Community College before moving on to East Carolina University. He finished his college career at Washington State where he won the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. We talked about some new talents Gardner has picked up so far in his rookie season and what he would take with him on a deserted island.
On this episode of Outside the Huddle, our very own Andre L. Sullivan got to sit down in the locker room and speak with DB C.J. Reavis. Reavis an alum of EMCC and former star of Last Chance U, has now found his way to the NFL by way of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Reavis is long removed from his days in Scooba, Mississippi and is now rubbing elbows with the likes of Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye in his position meetings.
Reavis, an avid madden player, who usually boast about his skills on the sticks, hasn't gotten around to beating his new found teammates yet, but he admits it's coming. He states that it's a blessing to be around the talent that has been placed around him and noted that they will even fine each other for mistakes made on the field.

On this episode of Outside the Huddle, I get to talk to incoming WR, Tre McBride. McBride has been a journeyman in his professional football career so far and has shown flashes of greatness in the Jacksonville Jaguars camp. He prides himself on working hard and showing the Jags that he can be the extra guy they need.
In his spare time, Tre has taken to photography as a way to get away from the grind of camp and football itself. His first time being a tryout player has humble the wide receiver, but left him hungry for the opportunity that has been given to him.

On this episode of Outside the Huddle, we chop it up with rookie defensive back Picasso Nelson. Nelson, a native of Mendenhall, Mississippi and graduate of Southern Mississippi, is ready to show the Jaguars why they made the right decision of bringing him in to camp. Picasso, a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., was all to happy to get to get Jacksonville and meet some of his fraternity brothers in the area. An avid Madden player and even states he is "known for being up by 21 before half". He'll be looking to not only make the team, but put on a show this camp and season.
94 in your program, but #1 in the hearts of many is the young defensive end from Illinois. Duwaune Smoot has endeared himself to his teammates and those in the front office. The 24 year old lineman is a brand new fahter with a 3 month old son. Even with the start of training camp he still finds time to enjoy his son Aumari.
In his spare time, Smoot can be found shooting and editing his videos for his videos for his personal youtube channel, Smoot TV. There you can find him vlogging about his training camp experience, personal life, gaming, and all things Smoot.
Smoot is looking to getting the season started and launching his own branding company that will help players like himself work on aspects of their life outside of football. Catch of of this and more on this episode of Outside the Huddle.
