At my personal Instagram story I posted a memo about all the houses I grew up in.
Check it out!
I am days way from launching my online coaching program and I am met with a lot of fear based thinking and avoiding the hard tasks I know I need to complete.
I'll look back and think why didn't I do this earlier but hindsight is always 20/20.
Almost there!
Check out my free webinar here.
During lock down we can lose our normal routine.
It may be the way you prepare for the work day.
Preparing breakfast, a morning exercise routine, listening to podcasts on the commute to work, following up emails, minimal social media time etc.
During the isolation though things are flipped on its head and the opposite is true.
More time online loitering around, routines are completely out of wack and the structure disappears.
I have focused on maximising the routine as best I can to maintain my standards... but it's an ongoing challenge!
Sometimes we can feel stuck with all the options that are available to us.
Food plans.
Exercise routines.
Gizmos.
New methods.
The best place to start is always what you can do today.
Don't overthink it.
Longevity.
What helps improve your longevity?
Quit smoking
Eat better
Exercise
Stress management
Simple.
Trying to contain the covid19 virus by setting up road check points.
Although police officers are terse it's for the right reason.
Wow what a journey.
I've been building out this online program and I'm proud of the effort.
It's a slow grind but it takes time!
It was a sight to behold - having the camera equipment around us and taking video and still shots!
Big shout out to @siyonisound, @ironarmouracademy, @liv2911 and @physiotechnician for the successful shoot!
A lot of the work I'm following is from leaders like Ben Greenfield.
It takes time and self awareness.
There is no road map to being an effective leader apart from being out the front.
Being the only one to accept fault with problems and share the accolades out with the team.
That's what's working for me.
Meetings conducted over Zoom is so helpful as we record everything that's being said ad organised.
Highly recommend it as it keep the team congruent and aligned.

If you're an athlete and you need to improve what you're doing or aiming to complete.
Having the expertise of someone who achieved what you want is a clear path forward.
Therefore, I'm building a program for people who are coachable and wanting help with Back Pain.
Here we go!
Unfortunately there's been a spike of covid19 cases in metropolitan Melbourne.
The result?
Lock down... stage 3.
We can do it Victoria!
I have almost 3 hours of pre-organised meetings that we called Targeted Interactions within our health company.
I really enjoy them because I'm a people person at heart.
Right now though, I'm trying to improve the operational side of how things run in our business.
It takes time and consistency.
When you are acutely sick or unwell... the medical troops are quickly mobilised!
My daughter had an asthma attack and the staff at northern Hospital were awesome!
But, if you are Type II diabetic, what sort of help is there to assist you?
If you're sick then medical care is straight forward.
If you're healthy, again, medical care is straight forward.
What if you sit in the middle?
Not quite healthy but not quite sick!
Recharging the mind, body and soul is important.
The way I go about it is being off the grid and finding some alone time.
Fortunately with Stage 3 lock down in Melbourne returning we managed to get some quality Family time in!
Observing the way traffic moves... you hate being slowed down in traffic.
Things appear more enjoyable when you're going against traffic.
This can apply across work, personal home situations and a general philosophy to live by.
What does the Waze app have to do with you?
The best way forward is with having someone or something show you the way!
Never a great feeling when team members leave but that's life.
I've learnt lessons on how to best manage this situation and how to move forward positively.
Staying over my parents place for the weekend was a great chance to revisit some old favourites.
My Mum's sweet and sour pork takes me back to my childhood :)
We finished high school in 2002!
Good friends Shek, Mitch and I caught up after almost 18 years of being apart.
Great chat.
It's been over 15 years since we last caught up!
My high school friends Mitch (also a physio) and Shek have been busy building their businesses and it was great to compare notes from the trenches.
In 2022 we celebrate our 20 year high school reunion!
How time flies!
As our Health Company grows, we are evolving.
At the leader of the movement I am looking to move from being the Bus Driver to the Traffic Controller of the traffic.
Come with systems and processes.
Slowly, slowly.
My mother-in-law Lia was able to stay over for a couple of days during the week.
It was welcome help for my wife Belinda!
I thought about new Australians who have their whole support network overseas.
Grateful that we can tap into friends and family in Australia!
Physio Ben has given us his 2 weeks notice.
This is the first time that I've had to deal with someone leaving our Health Company and it can be taken 2 ways... as I see it.
Good or Bad.
I prefer to get on the front foot and be open and transparent.
Honesty is the best policy.
Remember you must die!
Mortality has been the theme of the week after challenging times with BLM, a teen death in Melbourne and COVID19.
This has been a helpful tool in navigating life... and death!
Tough week with a stabbing death in Melbourne - poor Solomone was only 15yo!
Leki left some thoughts on Instagram about it all and leans a lot on Stoicism.
How do you deal with death?
Listening to a Tim Ferriss podcast a theme of 'being first' was discussed.
This resonated very strongly with me especially with a lot of the apprehension with BLM in 2020.
Big old smile will disarm most people!
Turning 6yo, losing more teeth, primary school and learning to read write is what Neriah is looking forward to!
How time flies!
One of the boys I grew up with is turning the big 4-0!
The first one to cross that gate it's funny to observe how we saw 40 as being so far away and now it's here!
The only way to be successful is to plow ahead and learn from your mistakes.
Here we go!
When talking to a lot of different stakeholders in Business it's important to be open and transparent.
I take full responsibility.
If there is anything that goes wrong in the Company.
It's completely my fault!
That's what Gary Vee says and I completely agree!
Sickness ------------------------> Wellness.
That's what it is!
That's what we're about.
Learning from Russell Brunson - a Value Ladder is important to to help people through their health journey.
What would be the Top 3 priorities that you would ask of yourself and your family?
Safety
Stability
Longevity
That's my list for you!
There are common conditions that develop with growing athletes.
Sever's ankle and Sever's heel.
Not fun!
My little niece turned 12yo and is looking forward to getting into high school next year.
How quickly has time gone by?
Crazy!
Not sure what's the latest developments with Victorian Premier Dan Andrews deciding to return to a form of lock down.
It may push back our Rugby season again for 2020.
No joy!
We really enjoy the Big 4 caravan parks and a lot of it comes from accommodating families and kids.
Until the lock down lifts we will have to pause these plans until 2021.
Yep, that's right.
Activated charcoal can help you with binding to unhappy things in your guts and plumbing.
Try it yourself!
When you are on the beverages and you don't want to suffer on the morning after?
Try a panadol and plenty of water before you sleep.
Extra points, try and drink 'salty' water.
Trust me.
To help improve my day, my life and assist with achieving my goals is managing my self care strategies.
I personally follow a low carbohydrate ketogenic lifestyle.
That's what works for me and my biology.
I wouldn't focus on that if I were you though. I'd recommend starting by cleaning out the pantry and subscribing to wholefood choices that land on your plate.
That's where we all start regardless of the actual diet strategy you follow.
Good luck!
To help improve my day, my life and assist with achieving my goals is managing my self care strategies.
Routine is the foundation that you build your habits out of.
Start somewhere and automate!
To help improve my day, my life and assist with achieving my goals is managing my self care strategies.
Decision fatigue seems ambiguous but when you make your decisions easy it allows more bandwidth for you to spend else where.
It's like you have more energy or fuel to apply to areas that need more of your top attention to get the desired outcome.
If you are spending a big part of your day commuting... I'd humbly suggest you think about hosting meetings while you're on the go.
Really helps with maximising your time plus it's nice to hit 2 birds with one stone isn't it!
While I'm commuting in the car I often call and talk with my wife Belinda.
We talk about lots of things but ultimately we determine what needs to be done on the weekend... especially if it's a busy one!
Breaking down and planning each of the steps in our minds helps us to ensure there's less headaches on the day!
Imagine driving over almost 300km in one day.... Yep not the best thing to do but it was the nature of the I was committed to on the Friday.
Not complaining instead thought about what I can do to maximise my time.
Such a relief to finally have come almost full circle with certain things.
In my 20s I had a certain perspective and now it's come to another realisation that things are never what they seem!
Do you know the difference between the Emotional vs Intelligence Quotient?
Leki explains from a health perspective...
It's a strange trip to see how the team 'meetings' have evolved in the last 3-4 years.
Having a certain cadence on how the team prepare for meetings or targeted interactions can help drive a project further with less effort!
What do you do if you're stuck in the car for a long time commuting from A to B?
The gears that I'm in depending on where I'm going varies depending on the direction I'm heading...
Home is usually strategic things.
Work is tactical things!
What do you do if you're stuck in the car for a long time commuting from A to B?
Maybe you should consider organising time to speak with your team to shoot 2 x birds with one stone!
Again, the challenges of running a business thru the pandemic means we need to canvas the whole landscape.
Offline = our physical locations
Online = internet services
Where will you need help?
My daughter is 5yo and well and truly testing the boundaries!
We made the decision to take her tablet away from her for the day to make her realise a few simple truths!
What's the best marketing tool?
A Facebook ad? a blog post? A Google review?
Nope... it's word of mouth!
Once upon a time a cold shower was a struggle.
Now sitting in an ice bath for 20 mins x 3 bags of ice has been achieved!
How?
Steady and consistent effort!
You know how people can specialise in something they're interested in...
Sports Physio = Sports
Paediatric Physio = Kids
Concussion Physio = Brain Injury
Aged Care = Older Australians
What about those who want to live longer & happier lives?... Longevity Physio
We are all sick to death about COVID19 but the reality is... things may never return back to the way it was.
Listen to Leki's thoughts on how health is going through an evolution!
When times are challenging are you are forced into the corner... what's your immediate thoughts?
Survival mode.
That's how we look at our business during this COVID-19 epidemic.
Stay. In. The. Game!
We are in the building phase of our Health Company as the global pandemic hit!
Part of the process was onboarding new team members and introducing a meeting cadence as taught by Alex Charfen.
Our Ti (targeted interactions) have got us all reading off the same song sheet ensuring we are communicating effectively.
This is most important during these testing times!
Once upon time reading a comic book or teen mag was a way that kids enjoyed their leisure time.
Now though, it's about scrolling your feed on social media and finding something else online that takes your interest.
That's not necessarily a bad thing though!
There was a time in Primary School when I went overseas and didn't return in time to learn fractions and percentages.
Those shortfalls still exist today unfortunately!
The Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) is one of those challenging ideas that I've tried to grapple with over the last few years.
After listening to some Gary Vee podcasts I'm working on dealing with it a lot better now.
In the end, we can only make decisions based on what we have in front of us at the moment in time!

I have been listening a lot to Gary Vee recently and it was shaped a lot of my perspectives on time.
Placing undue pressure on yourself is unnecessary.
I continue to battle with this still but I'm getting better!
I was filming my Quarantine Q&A recently and it dawned on me that what I have now was what I wanted once upon a time...
Be grateful is the lesson!

We are waiting on announcements from the Government about when we can return to "Normal"...
Whatever that will look like now!
With COVID-19 and Lock Down in full swing there is some apprehension about what is next over the horizon!
Borrowed from Alex Charfen - it's a charged up way to meet and interact with the team.
It's putting a new spin on the dull term 'meeting'...
Finding fun things to do that have been long neglected....
Like...
Walking in the local outdoor trails in our local Park!
From my perspective in managing Chronic Disease... a Ketogenic lifestyle is my go to recommendation.
Your mileage may vary but I'm going off my own experience.
Being pre-diabetic and working my way back off the edge off the cliff - it was completely down to behaviour and self discipline.
Now apart from losing weight, I've now shifted to focusing on lifelong health... longevity.
Where did my Fasting effort start?
8 hour eating window and 16 hour fasting window.
Started small and worked on being consistent.
So I've just finished my 3-Day Fast and it's a practice that I employ monthly!
Check out our Instagram channel where I describe this in more detail!
In matching the market with what it wants we need to deliver extra value to make it more appealing.
We'll let you know how it went when we release our Telehealth funnel!

There is a yearning to return back to 'normal'.
But will we ever get there?
We need to move with the times and determine what we need to do to evolve and change with the demands of the marketplace.

When the seas are rough we need to make sure the ship stays afloat.
Once the sun rises again then we can redeploy the team and push onward and upward.
Right now... this is the hardest!
Using Physitrack and Cliniko for our practice management software is evolving!
Rolling with the punches!
Things are going from bad to worse!
COVID-19 causing a higher level lockdown in Melbourne.
Having an additional way to help people is important.
Especially with COVID19 running rampant.
Cue... Teleheath!
COVID19 is shutting down businesses, jobs and displacing income for a lot of folks.
Given the unknowns and the question marks surrounding this we want to make sure we are prepared.
As best we can...
Letting you in on the how we look to help people in the community.
The Don't DIY Funnel.
Right now we are experts in our field. Experts in the sense that we are slightly ahead of someone is about to start in their journey.
And there is an expert in front of us.
That transfer of knowledge is how we can help people.
Either DIY (Do It Yourself) or Don't DIY. I'd recommend fast tracking your results by having someone there to hold you hand in the early days.
My humble $0.02!
This is a short update on the latest developments regarding COVID19 and our practice plus everyone else struggling to come to terms with what's been happening.
When there is turmoil - there is opportunity.
Opportunity to look at what is working or has potential to work not what's falling apart and breaking.
Right now, there is a lot of opportunity but we have to train ourselves to look where!
Listening to a podcast by Alex Charfen it was nice to know that someone has been down the track in terms of fear and emotion!
Right now with COVID19 causing havoc across the globe you would not be penalised for thinking you are at the limit of your tolerance.
When things like happen I can be guilty of spinning my wheels and trying to get things going.
That is eactly the opposite of what we should be doing.
Stick to you guns and persist with your processes.
At the time of recording my brother celebrated his 34th birthday.
It was a reflection that quickly reviewed how we came to Australia and my parents started behind the 8 ball but made it through!

With all the hoopla with the N-COVID 2020 virus making the rounds I listened to a great podcast by Chris Kresser this morning and decided to share some main points from their conversation.
Enjoy!
Should've known better!
There's a warning light on the dashboard for a reason.
Once upon a time it was ignored and a lot of trouble ensued.
I'm not making that same mistake again!
I recently presented at Pac Con 2020 which was hosted by lovely ladies driving a great Pasifika initiative.
I introduced a presentation called "What's Your Stable Table - The 4 Pillars To Survive and Thrive In Your Business & Household".
It was well received and obviously another chance to straighten our my public speaking chops!
Recently we celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday and my niece dislocated her kneecap while playing with her cousins.
Poor thing she was a trooper.
Leki explains how to easily relocate dislocated knees without too much trouble!
What are the 4 Pillars? You guessed it:
1) Food
2) Exercise
3) Sleep
4) Stress Management
Let's discuss
In the Christian calendar the lead up period to Easter is called Lent.
Traditionally, for 40 days you can choose to give up something that you most desire which is a sacrifice that Jesus suffered through in the desert.
I like to keep to a discipline and Lent is another way to action a behaviour change!
I've been persisting with weekly ice baths and it's been a struggle from the outset.
From cold plunges in the shower for 15 seconds.
I've progressed to 3 x bags of ice into a bath tub for 12 mins!
Start small and persist!
Factoring in the time it takes for your body to achieve adaptation...
It can sometimes take you months even years to achieve Metabolic Flexibility (look it up!)
For me, the ketogenic strategy helped me because blood tests cannot lie.
When I sample my blood and it shows that I have a certain concentration of ketone bodies in my bloodstream.... then I'm in ketosis.
As a follow up from the last podcast... I shed some light on my simple intermittent fasting regime.
But, once upon a time it wasn't simple.
It was really hard!
One of my longevity hacks is to fast for 3 days every month.
I've practised this discipline for 14 months now... without fail.
Why?
Educated trial and error and I'm looking for what helps my healthspan.
As your business grows something is always bound to break.
We've experienced some growing pains in the last 4 weeks which is the result of growth.
We are taking things in our stride and working together closely to get clear on what needs to be done to move out of the dirt.
More to come...

In our little home we prioritise times throughout the day and week for Family Time.
Daily - we have breakfast together (that's our family meal) as I get home late most week nights.
Daily - we also have a family prayer time every night.
Weekly - we have a family exercise time on Wed and Sun which is fun!
What does your family routine look like?
Whew!
Now that the wedding is done and dusted I unpack what worked and what could be improved on next time.
Some people actually came up to me soon after and asked if I could host other events later in the year.
Wow! What an experience.
What did I actually do during the wedding to make sure it went without a hitch?
I went and made sure that everyone felt comfortable and that everything was under control.
I even loosened up and started to enjoy the role!
Recently I hosted a wedding for the first time which was nerve racking to say the least but what was most challenging was the performance anxiety.
I wasn't afraid of speaking in front of an audience, I was afraid of not doing a good job.
So in this podcast I share what I did to prepare for the wedding and how I sharpened up my scripts and chops so that the delivery was on point.
Enjoy!
Reviewing my health journey so far I decided to review where I'm at with my 'Stable Table'.
Like 4 legs to a Table:
1) Food
2) Exercise
3) Sleep
4) Stress Management
After hearing of the sad news of a young friend of mine passing suddenly I wanted to review the circumstances around that and hold the mirror up to my own face.
How can something like this happen?
What can I do to mitigate the risk of having something that happening to me?
Such a tough time for everyone around the Family.
RIP Sydney!
Giving a eulogy is tough.
Speaking in front of grieving family and friends and trying to find some positives from the tragedy is a challenging conversation to have at the bets of times.
In my own personal development I wanted to work against my discomfort and fear and say something on behalf of the friends and families I was representing.
R.I.P Sydney!
Unbelievable reaction to our first interview guests!
More guests and segments to come... enjoy!

After reviewing the Boys Weekend I thought that next time I should be more diligent with my personal hygiene.
Last thing you want is to catch a bug off someone when it's completely avoidable.
18 fellas managed to come together and it worked like clockwork.
Duty groups were assigned and we all shared the load.
Until next year gents!
After 7 months of planning and anticipation... the day has finally arrived.
Boys.... ASSEMBLE!
Thanks to my good friends at Iron Armour Academy who run a great organisation helping lots of people both local and Global!
Recently celebrated a joint Hen's and Buck's weekend called a 'Hux Party'!
I have also been asked to MC the wedding which will help me build my confidence and putting myself out there.
Nerves!
Would you walk away from $5M dollars?
Well NFL player Vontae Davis did!
Why?
Because the physical injuries were not worth the money!
What does your normal routine look like?
Sometimes when you are trying to maintain a new food plan or exercise routine you quickly find things fall over.
Unless, you have a framework to plug your system into!
And just like that the school holidays are over and it's time for the kids to get back into the normal routine!

"Making Healthy Simple"
I review my most recent health challenges and it was a buzz to recount how much of a tough spot I was in!
From 2013-2016 I suffered from dry socket syndrome after having a tooth pulled out.
Then my most recent dramas with a busted ear drum.
You do take things for granted... big time!
From the last update...
My hearing has returned from 50% to 90% and there is no aching or tenderness at all!
A practice of health patience that's for sure!
The home routine, having to manage a household, 3 x kids under 5yo and trying to keep a happy demeanour!
I don't know how she does it.
To my beautiful wife, I love you.
The Australian Bushfires have been a disastrous natural event that has devastated a large part of our great land.
Driving home the visibility was only 5m!
Can you imagine that?
From the last update...
It's been a process trying to get over this ear ache but I'm down the home straight!
Even the GP can see the ear drum healing well!
You know when you have a regular appointment that should be kept.
Today is on the Bills.
If you have accidentally missed a payment then you know it's not a nice feeling.
Imagine having over $1M hanging over your head!
I'd be sweating bricks every night...
You know when you have a regular appointment that should be kept.
Today is on the dentist.
Anyone who has suffered through a sleepless night without much rest because of the throbbing toothache can attest to this!
You know when you have a regular appointment that should be kept.
Today is on the car mechanic.
We know that if the car breaks down... nearly everything else falls over!
Every year early February a bunch of blokes gather to spend time together.
This year is the 3rd instalment of our annual getaway and it's a chance for the fellas to reconnect and enjoy each others company.
It's a tough challenge to manage young families, businesses and work load and you can lose touch with people.
This is a commitment we are making for one weekend a year!
Having loved ones around you can be something you take for granted.
There are new Australians far away from all their social support and close relatives.
Bushfire victims may have lost everything.
Here's my ways of keeping a grateful heart...
Every year in the first or second weekend of February a lot of my friends come together to hang out and celebrate our long friendship.
This is the 3rd Annual Boys Weekend and it is well attended with over 20 people committed year on year!
Fun times!
We celebrated my 3mo daughter's Baptism AND my son's 2nd birthday party!
It was a big family day and we enjoyed ourselves!
When you doubt yourself it can really affect your future casting thoughts.
Putting your best intentions into your relationships, new ventures and trying new things can have a great upside and frightening downside.
These last 3 months have tested these things and the results are largely positive.
I. AM. GRATEFUL!
The last 3 months have been an earnest challenging in thinking and most importantly - executing.
From Jan 2019 I was one Physio in one Clinic.
Looking ahead into Feb 2020 I will be a team of 4 x Physios and 3 x Backroom staff across 4 x Clinics!
It comes with great personal growth!
Having some pain can be a good way to build rapport with people that I'm helping.
Why?
It can give me insight into your pain without judgement.
This is how I'm framing this ear ache and now busted ear drum.
My inner ear anatomy is sharpened up that's for sure!
Routine... the real test is when you're alone and no-one is around to help keep you accountable.
What does your routine look like?
Prepare, Plan and Act.
You do it for bushfires.
Why not for your health?
Take the ACL as an example!
These Australian Bushfires have been the worst to date!
So much destruction and devastation that it's been heralded as an International Emergency!
Almost 1 week into this persistent ear ache I reflect on the Functional Medicine model to aid in getting rid of the ear aches.
Typically I keep healthy by keeping the body moving, having a mindfulness practice, eat well and find tings that make me happy.
I also focus on keeping inflammation suppressed.
I do not frown on taking medications. When indicated it compliments the natural therapy of good healthy living I employ 95% of the time.
Right now I've been on NSAID, antibiotics and steroidal ear drops to get rid of this ear ache.
I just can't seem to shake it though!
Frustrating!!!
Tim Ferris has a TED talk on why you should set goals on your Fears rather then your Desires.
Very powerful idea to change your New Year Resolutions!
How do you keep new eyes when you see trouble on the horizon?

How do you stay optimistic when everything is falling apart.
Consider seeing everything for the first time using 'New Eyes'.
Children are amazed by the simplest of things and that keeps them happy and optimistic.
We should try that too!
Every year we have the best intentions to plan for a bigger and better new year but sometimes our best laid plans fizzle out.
What do you employ to ensure you start the New Year on the right foot?
When you're booked out in the weeks leading up to Christmas you can feel overwhelmed.
One thing we work hard to employ is to keep some weekends 'free' strategically, so we have some quiet down load.
There's plenty of value in thinking time!
What's your strategy to keep time free to think?
Completing my weekly ice bath I developed the dastardly swimmer's ear when I finished off my 10 min effort but submerging my head under the water.
What innocently seemed like a head dunk continued to plague me for over a week!
Eeek!
Moving on from our first apartment living together with my brother and his partner (now wife), Belinda and I decided it was time to establish our own little place.
What an adventure!
My brother and I officially moved out of the family home when we were 18 and 19yo.
It was a great reality check and I often wonder what would have happened if we were in a different situation?
Did you know after you leave your family home you've spent 80% of your face-face time with your parents?
Check out this blog from Tim Urban - https://waitbutwhy.com/2015/12/the-tail-end.html
The key with great sleep is to keep the room at room temperature overnight!
Even when it's hot keep it at room temperature because overnight it'll drop.
Plus, if you've got the AC on it'll dry you out and you'll feel worse in the morning!
Continuing on from the last podcast I reminiscence about some hots days in our little unit!
We recently had a couple of hot days in Melbourne, AUSTRALIA.
It peaked at 42 degrees Celsius and it made me think of a time growing up in the northern suburbs of Adelaide and not having the best air conditioning in the house!
Makes for some resilience!
A follow up observation as my 4yo daughter is starting to keep her own little diary!
Granted, she's just writing squiggly lines in it but after every breakfast meal she asks her for diary to jot down her thoughts!
It's interesting to observe my 4yo pick up some of my habits.
Most recently she's been watching have my weekly ice bath and was interested in testing it out for herself!
Leki update you on his current morning routine given that he's got a family of 3 x kids - 4yo, 2yo and 2mo!
I get the question often and a lot of the reason why is to calculate how many patients I see per day.
Well it averages from 16-26 people that need my help.
Some days are busier then others.
But aside from that people want to know how I manage my day.
Check it out!
It's a big thing to say that you've got a spare weekend leading up to Christmas.
But if you look ahead in the calendar and actively block off days then you can recharge and review how things are traveling without pressure and noise.
Do you block book?
When you have a clear idea of what you are planning and what you expect to see and achieve... you don't want to fall prey to FOMO.
Fear Of Missing Out.
How do you manage it?
In a recent podcast Dr. Peter Attia suggested that he planning on implementing a strengthening program to allow him to be strong and independent at 100yo!
He described some key points to improve to reduce the chance of losing your independence.
Hence, the Centenary Olympic Games!
I implement ice baths as a way to improve my longevity.
Here are my Top 3 reasons on why you should consider it:
Helps with autophagy (great process to improve your lifespan)
Helps with resilience (being comfortable in discomfort)
Work on your mental strength
Try it today!
I have been consistently implementing an ice bath as a part of my longevity program.
3 x bags of ice + a normal bath tub + 10 mins.
I started at 3mins + 2 bags of ice but over the 6 months from June-Dec 2019 I have increased my efforts!
My son Kyneton is a knockabout young fella and enjoys looking in dark places.
It's just where his curiosity takes him.
Often, he bangs his head on something, cries a little bit, and then pushes on as normal.
Recently he had 2 x big falls and given that I've had concussion symptoms myself I'm wary of how to move forward from here!
I challenged myself to fast for 3-days EVERY month for 2019.
I just completed my December effort and I couldn't be prouder of my longevity plan!
YAAAS!
I am not a vegetarian and definitely not a vegan.
With open eyes I watched the interesting documentary by James Wilks on the vegan lifestyle.
Very controversial to say the least!
Similar challenge being away from home and all the usual comforts you're used to.
We were challenged to stay on the straight and narrow even though there was a whole lot of eating going on!
There were some things that didn't go our way on the way to Sydney but we tried to look at the silver lining lessons from the trip.
Here they are:
Make a Decision and GO!
Patience under Pressure
Logic > Emotion
My wife Belinda has trained me well and I remember all our important dates.
26 Nov 2011 I married the woman of my dreams.
A quick podcast to say hello and to tell the world I love you.
Here's the the next 8 years!
What's important is that we try before we buy!
That works both ways.
I prefer the potential new team mate to come and shadow us while we work to make sure they're comfortable with our setup and how we run things.
Secondly, we also want to make sure the prospective Physio is attentive, caring and self directed in our dealings as they are shadowing.
Win-win all around!
A lot of our processes in building our team is making sure that they are good people from the get go.
It may not mean they're a superstar Physio but that's ok because they can grow and learn their craft.
If you're a bad person - there's no way to fix that.
Here's an update on the seek.com.au effort so far!
After conducting a 2 week time study I realised I need more help.
This prompted me to document the specific jobs/roles that need to be fulfilled and I need to understand how I can support the new team members.
In the end I place an advert on seek.com.au and it was a successful campaign.
Why?
Because I knew who we were after based off my 2 week study.
Given that a lot of high school students have just finished their time in secondary school we thought it may be helpful to revisit what our Physio's were doing at that time!
Leki shares his high school experience and explains how he got into Physio (or the direction) that lead him towards a career in Health.
Enjoy!
Quick update - we've decided to press pause our association with Footscray Rugby Union Club.
We are looking to partner with clubs closer to our footprint of clinics!
Watch this space!
So what are the important things?
Family and Self Care.
Again, I strongly recommend you conduct a 2 week time study to analyse where you are allocated and mis-allocating your time!
After completing a 2 week time study I found some challenges with where my time is being spent!
Highly recommend you keeping a time study for 2 weeks - it can show you where some changes may need to be made.
In this case, I need to offload my Tactical work and move towards more Strategic work!
What I've come to learn from my coaching work with Alex Charfen is that there are tasks I'm completing that can be grouped into something that's Tactical or something that's Strategic.
Tactical tasks are repetitive but necessary things that need to be done in order to move forward. E.g. making a pizza
Strategic tasks are times where you are planning the desired outcome of Tactical tasks. E.g. thinking about how to make the pizza taste better.
As a growing Physio company I am focusing on where to better spend my time to help us grow effectively!
Recently I was interviewed by a group of GPs to determine whether we would be the right fit for providing healthcare to their customers.
Typically, I'm a bit nervous (like most people) when you're going into an interview.
Something I've been working on is answering question thoughtfully and asking questions in a manner that gets more information from them then if I asked a 'yes or no' question.
I'm simply sharpening up the 'discomfort gland' so I can continue to improve on being put under the pump!
The all you can eat buffet's can be the Achilles Heel for any well meaning person!
What you can do is establish some basic do's and don'ts that resonate with your basic gameplan to ensure you're not overdoing or underdoing things.
For example, we avoided any fried foods and ate vegs with roast lamb and beef.
My weakness is always going to be the dessert ;)
When you have a health plan that you've subscribed to - it can often be a challenge to maintain your goals when you're at a party.
In November we group batch birthdays into one MEGA party.
This year it was based at an all you can eat venue - The Braybrook Hotel.
What helps us is troubleshooting where we may go wrong and what we need to do to keep ourselves on the straight and narrow path.
Sometimes you just have to do the hard things to get the rewards!
We have a family tradition where not only does the birthday person have pancakes with candles for breakfast...
But we celebrate a birthday week!
I couldn't do half as much of what I could without the help of my beautiful wife Belinda.
I love you!
My best old mate Vernon dropped in with his wife Rosary and his 5 kids.
Along with my 2 kids and my little newborn the house was full of energy!
It's funny as we've been busy doing our thing for over 8 months but we can connect from where we left off last.
That's how old friendships can be.
I appreciate all my old friends near and far!
With such an expansive growth within the Company this year - I need to review this idea of keeping my own House in Order.
Family life is happy then I can launch 100% into any endeavour knowing well that I have a strong base.
Is your House in Order?
I've been practising weekly ice baths for over 6 months now.
I started by filling the bath at home with cold water and putting 2 x bags of ice in... lasted 3 mins.
After a few weeks I increased to 3 x bags of ice.
Then I increased from 3 to 5 mins.
After seeing Dave O'Brien at The Fitness Expo he suggested that I should be in the water for 10-20 mins to allow my core temperature to drop for the real benefits!
So I'm going from 7 mins for a couple of weeks then building towards 10 mins and onward!
As apart of the rapid growth of our Business I sought out coaching to deal with the expansion.
Last I need is for this to break and come crashing down.
In Jan 2019 ProPhysio+ was solely based in Truganina.
In April 2019 we added our Kyneton location and Point Cook in October 2019.
We are also opening location #4 early 2020!
Talk about growth!
Hosted at The Melbourne Convention Centre - the Fitness Expo was a chance to see and feel the pulse of the Fitness industry.
We posted a Vlog on our Youtube channel about the day - check it out >> HERE <<
Will definitely be returning again next year!
It was the end of a looong Rugby season and so we wanted to celebrate it by having a good old night out with the crew!
We hired an Airbnb, had some drinks, wandered out to Richmond Hotel then finished up at Precinct.
Great night out and thanks to the fellas for a great season!
We are looking for ProTrainers 2020 so if you're interested please click the link below and refer a friend!

My good friend in Rugby Eric Tom reached out on Facebook and asked if anyone would be available to assist with Pacific Cup 2019!
That's all it was.
An ask... and we responded.
Aarvi did very well and the day was dreary but was an opportunity for us to get ProTrainer and ProPhysio+ out there!
We've been recording weekly vlogs talking about all things related to health within our Clinic!
Check it out >> HERE <<
Sean Stephenson (RIP) presented on this idea of the Coast Guard having to choose who to save when they cannot save everyone.
Watch the short 2min clip >> HERE <<.
Help those who are swimming towards you!
I have been a huge fan of Alex Charfen's work and I've recently subscribed to his service so I can be a better and effective leader.
This is key as I am the bottle neck of the business and in order to achieve the goal of what we're building I need to get out of the way.
More to come...
The last 18 months of growth within the Company has been fast and furious!
A lot of what we've been able to achieve has been through a system and process which has all team members on the same page.
If you are an AFL player they know long term and short terms goals off the top of their heads...
For example, their long term goal is to win the Premiership, in 3 months time they want to be in peak fitness, in 1 month's time they want their 3km time trial times to improve and next week they have each day spelt out so they can train best.
If athletes can see into their future with clarity, why can't we?
There is some time in your life where hedging your bets is appropriate.
Other times, going all in needs to be the primary focus!
Why?
How many times are you juggling many different 'things' when really you should only focus on the ONE THING.
Go All In!
My wife is beginning her 3rd journey in losing weight safely and effectively.
I assist her with her goals by being supportive and also living her wholesome lifestyle right along side her.
This is against common convention where 'you should let your body come back when you're ready'.
With as much self education and careful self care and data tracking we strive to be healthy and happy.
Enjoy the journey with us!
A follow on from the last podcast I mentioned that I had a breakdown on a busy road.
Life happens but you need to find the silver lining and focus on the positive things.
My little insight while being stuck...
What sort of mindfulness practice do you have?
Are you in a quiet room lying on your back, or sitting comfortable in a quiet corner or outside under a tree?
Well the other day I had to action my stress management mechanisms because the car broke down on a busy road!
No fun!
We welcome our third baby who managed to arrive with a 2hr labour and via water birth!
Both Mama and baby are happy and healthy and I've started my way back into work.
Fun times ahead!
Our vision is to create a footprint of '5-7 satellite' Physio clinics setup within Sickness Centres.
From there we will build a 'central Mothership' which will be a Wellness Centre.
Our target location with be Outer West Melbourne, then finally growing into Inner West Melbourne growing into the Macedon Ranges.
Come see what we're building!
Tony Robbins talks about this idea of doing things to create momentum or positive action which will help curb thoughts of being inadequate or procrastination!
We have a habit of taking photos of the Family before the new addition arrives...
This time is no different.
We are grateful for what lays ahead!
I've searched for an online retailer that provides supplements recommended from my mentor Dave O'Brien.
Check out megavitamins.com.au!
My current supplement stack consists of the master anti-oxidant NAC (Glutathione support), Magnesium, Zinc L Carnosine, Cod liver oil and MCT oil.
It's work in progress and I look forward to more supplementation work in the future!
At the time of recording we had just completed some testing on whether we can still qualify for a Water Birth.
We are proud to announce that all her health tests have come back very well and very normal!
This is BIG difference from our first 2 x pregnancies so we are over the moon!
ProPhysio+ Team Mate Aarvi and I have started a weekly vlog covering things we don't get to sare on our other media channels.
The in depth chat will cover different topics related to health but also gives us a better opportunity to share our message of "Making Health Simple" with you.
Also, we want to hear from you so we can interview people in the future.
More to come soon!
We are proud to announce that the 3rd location has started helping the people of... Point Cook!
Thank you to Arrowhead Medical Centre for trusting our processes and having us join the team!
More information to come...
Here's what I do right now - morning journals, mindfulness and a 4,7,8 breathing practice, fortnightly yoga, home based strengthening, HIIT bike training, weekly ice baths, wholesome diet and conscious awareness.
Rewind 6 months ago I only applied 6 of the 9 measures mentioned above.
Into the next 6 months what will I add into my self practice?
I have found it challenging to advertise myself in the traditional sense.
You see, on social media platforms I decided it was better to separate my professional settings from my personal ones.
The issue though is that my professional perspective compliments my personal beliefs.
I believe in "Making Healthy Simple".
I believe in longevity.
I believe in helping people!
What do you think about being authentic and sharing your message with the world?
The human experience of procrastination can affect the way that we do things in a timely stress free manner.
One of my go to strategies is to do the most difficult task first!
How do you manage it?
Monday night training... now that the Junior Rugby Union and League calendars have been completed for the year the focus shifts to post season training.
Our partners at Iron Armour are preparing their athletes for Rugby League tour in Sept and Europe tour in 2020!
I recently listened to a few podcasts who feature David Sinclair a PHD scientist from Australia based in the US and studies longevity.
He recently outlined his most important markers to monitor for longevity amongst others and I had to share it with you all!
To long life!
I've had a few measures in the past on how I manage my time.
I've written on calendars, keep journals, used apps on my phone but prefer a physical diary.
When there's a lot happening and we're wondering where we should allocate our time, it's important to know what you're committed to in the first place!
I used this service for te very first time shifting some equipment from my home in Gisborne to the new PP+ clinic in Point Cook.
Highly recommend!
Team mate Aarvi and I have started up a vlog which will detail us having a weekly chat.
Pretty excited but equally nerve racking so let us know what you think!
Like, comment & subscribe.
Thank you!
It's been a challenging year with injuries we manage within the clinic and I have to thank Holly (a Rugby Mum) who pointed me towards a documentary highlighting the increasing number of serious injuries amongst young athletes.
With Winter Sports Finals approaching I've had to rule out 5 players from Finals due to injuries.
One was 12yo and the other was 13yo.
When should tough it out be rest it up?
Not good!
I won't lie... these last 2 months have been a struggle with my morning routine.
Our little 1.5yo is not very good a night and it's affecting my morning prep work!
Belinda is 8 months pregnant so I'll have to man up and find a way.
Shout out to Alex Charfen's morning routine... modelled a lot on his work.
THANK YOU!
At the time of recording... my brother has had 2 little baby girls join his family.
He now has a family of 5.
By the end of September 2019 I will have our third child join us and we turn into a family of 5 also!
My older sister is also expecting a baby in early 2020 and they will have a family of 5 :)
I'm grateful that we can grow our families and be happy and healthy in Australia.
Our family tree is growing!
Listening to Gary Vee's podcast recently he raised this idea of going deep first rather then going wide.
Spending time getting to know people, growing relationships, alone time to think, having one task to complete, building one things within your business, improve your health with one strategy allows you to go DEEP.
Once you've established a foundation you can then afford to go wide.
I tend to suffer from FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) and it's because I say 'Yes' too often spreading my resources too thin.
This is an accountability post to remind me to always go deep first... then wide!
Calling the people of Point Cook!
We're coming to help :)
We are finalising the last few steps of the new addition of a PP+ clinic to a medical centre in Melbourne's West.
Staying true to our vision... we are building a foot print of 5-7 clinics in Melbourne's Western/NW region which will eventually lead to the stand alone wellness centre in 2021.
We now number #3 clinics and are grateful to help people improve their health and wellbeing.
How?
By "Making Healthy Simple"
We have officially closed the ProTrainer 2019 program and the feedback was resoundingly positive!
From both the students and the clubs we partnered with it was exciting to see an idea spawn into a real program.
The Class of 2019 will stay on into 2020 and will play a more senior role.
Thanks to Mitch, Jordan, Nik and Marcus!
Exciting times ahead fellas!
Imagine taking a simple test and it outlines with high accuracy what disease you may be suffering from WITHOUT the need from scans, imaging and specialist appointments!
Sounds like fantasy but there is a way to help you with that now!
We will be building a simple health quiz with simple questions leading you to where you can find more information.
Definitely beats sitting in the medical centre for 1 hour to be told to take panadol!
Keep an eye out for our Health Quiz!
Big shout out to Nick Longhurst Head S&C at ACE Performance Richmond who had me in to observe testing at the awesome facility at AAMI Park.
Early start on Mon 26 August 2019 meeting him at 5:30pm.
I observed International referees in Footy and Soccer, 100m and jumping athlete, U18 Rugby Schoolboy, Rower, Crossfitter, Netball and some professional athletes (Melbourne Storm).
Given that we have launched our Body Assessment Test (BAT) Test for weekend warriors in the suburbs it's great to see how the professional athletes are screened and retested using speed gates, measuring tools and vertical jump monitors.
Awesome thanks Nick!
Location: Larwill Studio at Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne.
Dates: 23-24 August 2019
A lot of information during this seminar was complimented by the Gut Health seminar earlier this year from Dave at 5th Element Wellness.
Blood testing and it's results can give you a lot of information on unlocking your long term health prospects!
Exhausting weekend but enlightened!

I have ambitions of further education in Functional Medicine.
The challenge?
Well, there's 2 main problems - 1) Time and 2) Cost
There's a time factor as Baby #3 has arrived and time will be challenge.
The other is that training is expensive between $5,000 to $10,000 and I need to make sure I apply myself if I'm looking at laying that much cash on the line.
The journey continues!
In promoting lifelong health a lot of the cards you are dealt are from Mum and Dad.
If Mum and Dad are unhealthy, there's a high chance baby will pick up some of those environment and genetic factors.
Apart from encouraging a healthy outlook we are also mindful of encouraging healthy behaviours for our kids 4, 1.5 and newborn due tomorrow!
ProTrainer+ 2019 has come to a close and we have had great reviews from our partners at Footscray Rugby Union Club.
We have engaged Marcus, Mitch, Jordan and Nik to return in 2020 and take on a senior role.
We will be recruiting some new faces and partnering with more clubs to grow this program to serve our Rugby community!
More to come...
Do you remember watching Maxwell Smart as a kids and thinking it's crazy that he's talking into his phone on his wristwatch?
Or the Jetson's and having hovercraft cars in the sky?
All this plus more is coming down the pipe and I'm so excitable about some technology that I've been exposed to in the health field.
I'm a biohacker and my interest is lifelong health and longevity.
The things I'm biohacking will also interest people who suffer from chronic disease and those that are high performance athletes.
Very interested in what's to come...
When you are up against the wall and things are not going your way... what's that little voice in your saying?
When you are saying things that some from the heart and you are honest in what you are saying... how do you gauge the response of the other person?
If you are giving advice that's unpopular... how do you push forward with what you believe is true?
These are scenarios I live through every day as you can imagine a lot of people come from different backgrounds and problems and sometimes the best way I can help someone is to tell them the truth.
Regardless of what my inner voice is trying to tell me!
It snowed in my little village town of Gisborne!
It was a surprise to see on a Sunday morning and my kids were so excited - we all were!
Despite the snowflakes I still carry on with my weekly effort for 3 min ice baths every Sunday.
Just because it snowed doesn't mean I should pump the brakes!
Very interested in getting a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner certification to compliment my primary Physiotherapy field.
My frustration is that A LOT of people are suffering from this silent disease.
Which one?
Nutritional deficiencies... more to come!
I have been strongly considering the clinical program offered by Chris Kresser called the ADAPT Practitioner Training course to help chronic disease sufferers.
It is something I am investigating further and I'll keep you in the loop with how it pans out!
My belief is that nutrition is a big leverage point for lifelong health and I'm willing to return back to some training to upskill myself and offer more help to the community.
Watch this space...
Imagine rolling into work on Monday and a 'catastrophe' has happened.
You may have forgot your tools at home, you may not have access to important paperwork, invoices haven't been met that you were relying on... the list can go on!
Well, on this particular Monday we had internet. Our whole practice, information, taking billings, making appointments etc. relies on the internet.
Instead of sulking and pointing fingers Aarvi and I made do with what we had available and drew upon our own resources and initiatives.
How often have you been thrown a curve ball and how have you honestly dealt with setback?
Having the energy to draw on to deal with problems and setbacks is a superpower that you shouldn't look down on and continue to improve!
Building on from my last podcast I talk about cold therapy.
I've chosen to go with cryotherapy at the moment because it's most convenient for my time.
I believe there is benefit in heat therapy too!
Steam and red light saunas - of the two I prefer red light for more reasons we'll explore in the future.
For now, the body responds to extreme temperatures pretty well for a short period of time and in the process can produce cold/hot shock proteins which gives us more resilience!
You may think it's crazy to consider doing ice baths during the coldest months in the year but I look at it as a challenge to improve myself!
It's been a task to mentally overcome the cold by starting with 10 sec cold showers then progressing to 30 sec ultimately having 1-2 min cold showers without too much trouble.
That took me over a year to progress.
I've now started weekly ice baths on Sundays for 3 mins.
It's being documented and I like the fact that the whole family is in on the adventure too... more to come!
My 4yo daughter Emelina has a known nut allergy.
We forgot all about since it's been over a year since her last reaction (which was moderate and while we were overseas).
Long story short she was given an anti-histamine to manage the inflammatory response and over time the reaction settled.
I will be using my learnings from the ADAPT Practitioner training to assist my daughter with the underlying cause of her allergy and build towards a lifelong remedy.
More to come...
Have you thought about how the conventional medical models works when you have more then once pain problems or symptom?
You are managed with each individual symptom and can often be referred to individual specialists.
For example you might have joint pain, headaches, skin problems and blood problems.
In this example you may be sent to 4 x different specialists - rheumtologist, neurologist, dermatologist and endocrinologist!
What if you were to take a step back and seek out the primary cause for all the symptoms you feel?
That's where the holistic approach can help!
More to come...
Simply said - Signs are physical objective things you can assess like temperature, blood pressure, blood counts, movement range etc.
Symptoms are emotional subjective things the patient complains of like pain, aching, pins and needles, rashes, headaches etc.
Signs & symptoms can help practitioners in the treatment of pain problems!
After undergoing the Gut Health seminar with Dave O'Brien he recommended I follow up with Chris Kresser and his valuable information.
After some deep reading and ongoing learning I have decided to opt into their ADAPT Practitioner training.
More to come...
Not sure if the B.A.T Test is for you?
Here are some real life stories that you can relate to!
Check it out!
I was so excited thinking about a proper name for our pre-season screening tool which we will offer to everyday heroes!
The Boy Assessment Tool (B.A.T) Test.
You are superheros trying to win your day.
Look after kids. Get to work. Eat right. Try and stay healthy.
But when you train in the gym you notice things are starting to get niggly and sore.
You lose your superhero powers.
Send out the B.A.T signal and we'll help you get your cape back on!
If I wasn't paying attention on the road then I could have easily had a car accident.
How?
2 cars in front of me a truck reacted to a kangaroo hopping across the road.
Paying attention to one thing improves focus and gives you clarity on what to think about.
Imagine you're an AFL athlete rolling into pre-season training around October.
Before you get stuck into the heavy training the medical staff would perform a simple health screen of all your parts and pieces to reduce the chance of injury and keep you healthy!
We live in a glorious Information Age where everything and anything is available for search, study and review.
Be careful with everything you read online especially with health because some sources may be questionable.
I'd recommend having an open mind with an specialist opinion you seek and arrive to you best conclusion based on what you heard and what you've read.
Remember we're on the same team trying to get you better!
Leki walks through his observations on the conventional medical centre model where you go to manage your sickness.
It can involves primary care providers giving you medications to suppress symptoms.
Compare that to service that can look to address the primary health problem that causes the symptoms you feel.
That's a Wellness Centre.
Over the journey in health as a Physio I have seen numerous examples of kids aged between 9-13yo who are MEGA busy!
They play multiple sports which means they have training nights Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs and play sport Fri night, Sat and Sun!
That means there is NO REST for the whole week.
Can you imagine being this busy with running and sport?
Imagine going to the gym and running EVERYDAY.
I would start breaking down.... quickly!
Think about it and consider managing the kids load!
I had the opportunity to meet with one of the Iron Armour Academy Founders - Marcell who presented a great gadget that can help many people suffering from a Chronic Disease.
Most people own a smart watch to count your steps, rings to access your sleep quality, credit card details available on your phone, glasses to block out blue light and EMF blocking clothes to stop radiation.
It's only natural that things will progress to health!
I measure my bloods using a blood monitor. It's time consuming and expensive but I chose to focus my attention and spend money on the information it gives me.
Very interested in what's coming down the track. More to come :)
Have you ever felt like a superstar footy player? No? Well here's your chance!
I was welcomed by Anna from Ritual Cryotherapy in Port Melbourne to test their upright cryotherapy chamber.
I am practicing ice baths weekly (mostly on Sundays) after having cold showers for over a year 3-5 x timers per week.
This practice helps with reducing inflammation and improving my cellular health.
You see I want to live to 150 years old but in great health and vitality!
Cryotherapy can help with my goals :)
Have you ever visited a professional in the health field and be given 100 different things to do or see a Physio and be prescribed over 10 exercises that seems to overwhelming?
Paying Attention to ONE key exercise and focusing on form, repetitions and weigh will ultimately allow you to RETAIN what you learnt.
I'm fascinated with gymnasts because they take years to hone their craft from low level exercise repeated over a long period of time that develops in a masterful skill!
Pay Attention & achieve Retention!
Learning how to ask questions may seem like a waste of time.
But, if you are wanting to improve your knowledge, skills or expand your horizons I've learnt that crafting the way in how you ask is important!
For example - if you are seeking some advice and you ask a generic question without much insight to your problem then how can the teacher answer you in a helpful way.
But, if you ask a question that demonstrates you understanding of the topic with a specific question then the teacher has the right context to help you arrive to the right answer!
Learn how to ask questions and it will serve you well!
In the sporting context - being the weakest link in a sporting team can be seen as a weakness and a strength.
How?
The weakest link (players) needs to improve their conditioning to the standard of the team but the team needs to support all players to improve their collective performance as a team.
So... are you the weakest link? Or is the team guilty of not reinforcing it's foundations?
If you are someone who is looking for improvement in sleep, energy levels, concentration, digestion, athletic performance, skin, happiness or just looking to improve to a best version of yourself then I would learning more on special testing like Stool Testing.
Now in full transparency I have not conducted my own test... yet but I intend to over the next 3 months.
Why? To get the valuable information to improve my daily performance as a Husband, Dad and Physio but to increase my chances of healthy and happy longevity.
This is a revision from the material I learnt at Dave O'Brien's Saturday seminar on Gut Health on Saturday June 22 2019.
Highly recommend!
The body is a flexible vessel which carries you in lots of different and challenging environments.
If you are in the cold snow the body will priortise keeping you warm. If you are in the hot desert the body will figure how to cool you down.
If you are stressed the body will try and find the best way to manage your stress internally.
How? Through lots of intricate pathways which work together to give your body the best information to work on.
But what happens if you are constantly under stress?
The boss giving you a hard time, kids not sleeping at night, eating poorly, not moving the body enough, social media pressures, family pressures the list goes on!
If you are constantly under attack then how do you expect the body to serve you to the best of it's ability?
I had such an insightful day with Dave at his seminar on Gut Health on Sat 22 June 2019.
Having some basic biochemistry from high school and University this was a fast tracked refresher to understand the signaling pathways of the body.
Learning about the mechanisms of SIBO and how the infrastructure of the gastrointestinal tract can be a leading cause of a WHOLE SPECTRUM of health and wellbeing issues.
My key takeaways are 3 fold in terms of Priority Systems:
Manage stress responses (Survival) >> DEATH
Manage blood sugar levels (Energy) >> DEATH
Antibody response (Immune system) >> DEATH
Any malfunction with these Priority Systems will divert resources from other areas to preserve your life and avoid DEATH.
More on this space to come!
Working as a Physio for 12+ years, seeing over 5000 different patients treating 100s of different pain problems you start to notice patterns or trends.
One of these patterns is how most people develop acute low back pain.
In my blog post I point you in the right direction with what to look out for and practical steps on how to manage the actual result of the injury.
Check it out >> HERE!
Winter usually drums a vision of brutal cold winds, icy sheets of rain and frosty surfaces!
Most people including myself look forward to a nice warm bed at the end of the day and fresh hot soup.
I was thinking about ice baths and ice therapy!
Why? The science behind longevity shows that cellular health is important and keeping those little critters resilient is a key to lifelong health.
Keep an eye out for more ice baths in the future!
My ultimate dream to see a facility where the community can come and work on their Wellness rather then manage their Sickness in a medical centre.
Imagine a place that has gym equipment for functional training, cardio machines, a infrared yoga studio, Pilates reformers, a redlight sauna, cryotherapy, acupuncture, cupping, massage, meditation, ice therapy and wholistic medicine and naturopathy!
That sounds like a place where people go to continue their health and prolong their lives.
That's what I'm going to build.
Come with me and let's build it together!
Let me just say that the trip to Bali was a Godsend!
My wife Belinda and I did not do much more then lounging by the pool, talking, laughing and planning.
I read 2 x books and Belinda was happy taking photos and eating to her hearts content (she's 5 months pregnant).
My main reflection on the trip was trying to work more on the small things in between times of stressful events. Big or small, trying to unpack stressful times is important and it can snowball and put undue pressure on your body. In any stress event that I'm mindful of I will practice Wim Hof breathing 30 sec effort 3-4 cycles and I will continue my practice of daily journaling to unload my monkey brain!
Sounds like a silly question but... how do you relax?
My wife Belinda and I are expecting baby #3 in September 2019 and we have organised a short 5 day trip to Bali to unplug and work on relaxation and our parasympathetic nervous system (PNS - rest & digest).
Being in a largely 'stimulated' environment (sympathpathetic nervous system - fight or flight response), cars beeping, appointments to keep, the hustle of everyday home and work life, notifications on your phone, bills, shopping expenses, poor sleep, crying kids... the list goes on... it's important to reevaluate things and work on the opposite signaling pathway (PNS).
That's how we viewed the Babymoon and it's was a great trip to unplug and reconnect!
From a Physio perspective in Victoria there is a MASSIVE difference in the way footy players are nurtured compared to Rugby players. You can see it in young kids as early as 5yo when they're in programs like AusKick.
From Auskick young footballers are educated at their local community club and school by their members, parents and footy leagues (all the the overarching support of AFL).
Rugby players (I've observed) do not have the same structure and support and you see it as the athletes reach 12-14yo. Around this time when they are approaching high school, footy players really start to hit their stride. They understand good nutrition, recovery measures and have a great sense of playing footy.
Rugby players start to breakdown quite badly in this age group... I wonder what the differences are? Grassroots? Corporate vs Community?
A post-mortem is performed by a Doctor to determined how someone died.
It's usually after the event and it may uncover that an artery was clogged leading to the stroke and ultimately death.
A pre-mortem is the opportunity to think about what may happen and preemptively working to avoid or fix a situation.
In the stroke example, if you are concern about your heart health you may decide to take measures to be healthy.
Take inventory of what's important to you and perform a pre-mortem.
It's free and and help you before it's too late!
This is a common question I get! I also get this question 10 x times per week!
So... I've had a simple dig at coming up with a reasonable answer. How? By reviewing the root words of the different disciplines.
Chiropractic is two terms combined into one meaning. Chiro meaning "hands" and Practy meaning "practice". So it's the practice of using your hands for treatment. Makes sense to me!
Osteopathy again is composed of Osteo or "bone" and Pathy or "pathway". Meaning the pathway of symptoms has a "bony origin"!
Physiotherapy comes from Physio or "natural" and Therapy or "curing". This means Physio is the practice of using natural therapy to help cure!
I hope that clears it up for you!
Heard an awesome podcast from Russell Brunson re: Being Coachable.
You know it can take a whole team and a WHOLE lot of knowledge to assist you with your help. Sometimes people can awkwardly mention that they also see a chiro or massage therapist while they're having Physio.
There is no judgement on my behalf on the type of health coaching you need to improve your condition.
We have multiple coaches on the sporting field to achieve our goals. Why not in health?
If we can help you improve your health goals then that makes me happy!
We've officially started up at our second location - Kyneton 3444!
It's about a 70 min drive along the Calder Highway to Bendigo and it's such a blessing to have an additional shop to help more people improve their health and transform their lives.
How?
By Making Healthy Simple!
That itchy thing gnawing away at your thigh is not something you want to scratch... it's something you NEED to scratch.
Your mobile phone.
Have you ever stood idly at the supermarket and thought to whip your phone out to see what the latest is on your news feed?
Or have it an arms length away on the night table stand?
Try and practice a phone fast and see how it treats you!
More time instantly!
Flying from Melbourne to Dubai then Lyon, France takes its toll.
I should know I just got back from a 2 week tour over there which took me across 7 timezones.
The flight out wan't so bad but the flight back was a shocker!
Will have to work on biohacking that effort more closely next time!
As you know - I recently returned back from a Rugby tour to France and Portugal with Iron Armour Academy.
It was a special trip because it's been over 25 years since I've returned back to Europe.
I can tell you the culture of the place just tells you how young Australia is!
Really enjoyed this tour and looking forward to hearing more news on how our athletes went!
I've been blogging about this trip and now it's finally here!
Thanks to my beautiful wife Belinda who will hold the fort down while I'm away for 2 weeks!
Have you ever thought about how you earn an income based on being a specialist in a particular field?
Take medicine for example.
If you're a GP which is a highly respected profession you have a lot of respect and value with the advice you give people.
But, if you see a specialist, automatically there advice (and invoice) will be far greater!
Why?
Because they specialise in a particular field!
What's your speciality?
To be honest I've felt strange ever since the passing of US rapper Nipsey Hussle.
He was building something great for his community before being gunned down tragically in front of his own clothing store amongst the commercial building site he owned.
More then just a rapper he was an entrepreneur trying to build things to help people.
Rest in Peace Nip.
I've mentioned before that I'm a big fan of 5th Element Wellness based in FItzroy Melbourne.
I've been to a yoga class plus I've read all their materials online - very impressed!
So much so that I'm giving them the absolute tip of the hat by modelling my own business after their example!
More on this to come!
When I refer to people that are working along side me - I have always preferred the term team mate.
Words like this matter to me because you can't build something special and sustainable unless you have team mates, not employees, team mates.
I like comparing this to a team sport where you might have the captain of the team but he plays right along side his team mates on the field.
That's how I view business.
In it together!
ProPhysio+ is our flagship business right now and we have plans to grow our footprint across metro Melbourne Australia then eventually building supportive businesses to supplement each other.
It will include our ProTrainer+ program to help community clubs and University students needing practical experience, Wellness centres to drive community health and a unique online presence to help those in need of health improvements.
Watch this space!
You may have heard of the 7 Deadly Sins: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride.
I'd like to present the 8th one: Instant Gratification.
Sometimes when we're hurt or injured we want instant results or improvement.
Sure, that can be achieved most of the time but sometimes our environment can change our expectations which warps our reality.
Instant messaging, Googling, Youtubing remedies, posting on social media. All these things are great for our society but be careful with how it may affect your beliefs especially with an injury!
Borrowed from Russell Brunson's podcast, Being Coachable, is an idea that resonates with me.
You see in the physiotherapy clinic we try and help people back to full health.
This is a two way street.
I need the patient to be coachable in terms of following instructions and allowing me to guide the management back to full health.
Conversely, I need to be coachable also and receive constructive feedback on how the patient feels with my management.
So a lot of my successes have inadvertently come from being coachable.
I took my daughter to her gymnastics class this morning.
It's nothing special - they're 4-5yo performing some specialised play where they incorporate some core gymnastics movements.
She's only been 'playing' for less then a year and I can see how much she's improved!
She did it by just showing up and training.
Something we can all learn from!
Listen to a story about my time as a young Rugby player and taking my health and team cohesion for granted.
In my first year in Seniors we made the Grand Final - we lost and I was shattered.
But, I didn't realise how long it would be until I see another GF.
Don't take things for granted!
What's your goals at the moment? Lose weight? Get healthy? Feel younger? Connect with long lost friends?
Here's some simple secrets to help you with changing your behaviour!
According to the Eisenhower Matrix tasks can be broken into 4 catergories:
1) Urgent and Important
2) Urgent and Not Important
3) Not Urgent but Important
4) Not Urgent and Not Important
Which one is the key to unlocking your day? Listen now...
Remember when you were in school and you had homework to finish before class the next day?
You left that project and procrastinated and the pressure built up worse and worse over time.
Next thing you know you have to pull an all nighter and cram the information in!
Making the process easy for yourself but chipping away slowly over time!
Cliche but true!
After listening to an interview of Pastor McPherson from the Tony Robbins podcast I heard Pastor McPherson introduce the idea of the 3rd Option.
Option 1 is your own viewpoint, Option 2 is the opposing view and the 3rd Option is having your own perspective but understanding the opposing view.
It's about understanding different perspectives and understanding each other.
This is something we can apply in the Health field as practitioners can be guilty of not listening to people when they present with their injures and complaints!
One of my biggest return on investment is my daily journal entry.
When I put pen to paper and trap the things that weighing me down in the journal it lightens my load allowing me to focus on important tasks for the day.
Can't speak highly enough of the power from this daily discipline!
I'm planning to commit to fortnightly Yoga classes at 5EW (5th Element Wellness) in Fitzroy.
I've done some home jobs like off a DVD or Youtibe but I'd like to connect with the guys here and see what they're about and the facilities.
I'll come back to you down the track and give you a formal review!
I'll take you back to my early days of being a heath professional and being 'book smart' but not quite 'people smart' just yet!
You see I had just graduated from University and I held a few different part time jobs so I had some good skills in picking up social cues.
This helped me develop as a well rounded person to serve people in need.
Now 10+ years as a Physio the experience I've built has come from making small improvements over time.
How?
By doing the HARD things first!
This is a true account of my experience at U19 Rugby Nationals in Queensland in 2003.
In the last podcast I explained who it will take to manage a large touring team to Europe.
In this story I was one of the rugby players. This time I'm travelling as one of the management staff responsible for the health and well being of the entire team!
On Apr 5 2019 I'll travelling to Europe on a Rugby Tour with Iron Armour Academy from Melbourne to France.
There are A LOT of logistics involved in getting 30 people from A to B.
From a health perspective we want to make sure everyone gets there and back in good nick.
But things can happen like getting a travel bug, infection spreading to team members, sporting injuries and getting home sick!
A short appreciation post - opening up ProPhysio+ Kyneton.
Located about 70 mins out of Melbourne along the Calder Highway toward Bendigo I'm really happy to be partnering up with Kyneton Medical Centre.
FYI - we lived in Kyneton for 2 years and we named our son after the town so we love the place!
I am a Rugby man.
I grew up playing the sport, have a lot of friends from the Rugby community and still an avid follower of the World Game.
But in 2014 I suffered 3 x concussions which ultimately my last season!
Listen to some of the serious symptoms I displayed and how I was stupid in ignoring the signs! I couldn't run without getting a headache for over 2 years!
Bang BANG! Just finished my 3-Day Fast and I'm pretty happy with the effort.
Compared to my Jan and Feb 2019 3-Day fast efforts my Mar episode was the smoothest so far.
In my research it's due to the body's adaptation as it starts to learn to process the excess carbohydrates (glucose metabolism) more efficiently and there's less cellular 'sludge' before it ticks over to ketosis (fat metabolism). This equals less 'keto flu' symptoms like feeling weak, dehydrated and low energy.
Goals into the Apr 3-Day fast will include being better with my electrolytes by measuring out quantities, substituting small meals (eggs and green vegs) for organic grass fed bone broth and more hydration! This should get me into deeper ketosis as I hovered at 1.7mmol/L at my peak.
My primary health goal is longevity and prolonged fasting can be a great biohack to improving your health!
I describe my results so far and which shows I'm going into deeper ketosis and my glucose readings are low which is the idea.
I'm feeling pretty good as I've loaded up on 'salty' water/electrolytes and some Bulletproof coffee (3-4 cups per day) plus sunny eggs x 3 and bone broth soup of nutrients. This will be something I'll review in my Apr fasting effort.
My primary health goal is longevity and prolonged fasting can be a great biohack to improving your health!
I've trialled shorter protocols over the past 3 years such as intermittent fasting 16:8 (fast 16 hours, eat within 8 hour window) then 20:4 and now 20:2 or One Meal A Day (OMAD).
I'm trying to find the best combination of feeling energised, improved concentration, being able to complete my day with vigour and of course prolonging and improving my quality of life.
In 2019 my big focus is on anything and everything related to longevity.
Over 2017 I have started the ketogenic diet.
In 2018 I introduced intermittent fasting to the keto diet.
In 2019 I am looking at implementing monthly 3-Day fasts for health benefits.
My Jan 2019 effort was reasonable, the Feb effort was haphazard and now for Mar I plan to take my results to the next level so that I can last the 3 Days successfully!
Fingers crossed.
I have been recommended these guys from a good friend of mine and I have all the intention of checking them out.
According to their online content I really sync with their whole perspective on things.
I'll have more for you and an update on future podcasts as I plan to subscribe to their seminars on blood testing and commit to fortnightly yoga sessions - https://www.5ew.com.au/
So being a busy parent sleep can be a struggle especially quality sleep.
Belinda and I focus a lot of our energies on having great routines in place so that the kids are down in bed early enough so that we can unwind and have quality sleep.
What does your night time routine look like to ensure you have great sleep?
I have been tracking my blood work since Apr 2013 and my most recent results came in from Feb 2019.
I dive into my 3 main markers I'm monitoring - Fasting glucose/insulin, Lipid studies and Thyroid activity.
It's also interesting to note how my blood work has responded to my particular eating strategy which has evolved over the last 6 years!
What happens if you're a budding athlete aiming to become a Pro and it doesn't happen for you?
Having a Plan B is not a bad thing 'just in case'.
I have observed a lot of athletes who should have, could have or would have made it but for whatever reason it didn't happen and there wasn't a safety net to catch them.
We are partnered with Iron Armour Academy - a not for profit organisation, based on Christian Values, dedicated to assisting young people, in relation to improving their life skills and sporting development through our various training, mentoring and scholarship programs.
June 2008, 6 months out of physio school and I managed to score a position with the Victorian Women's State Team to Nationals to QLD.
I was as a green as they come but I was up for the challenge.
The ladies were awesome and that experience opened more opportunities for me to work along side other representative teams.
My daughter just turned 4yo and we celebrated her birthday in the backyard over the weekend.
She is at that age where she still believes in magic, Santa, the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy! I enjoyed her watch the entertainment and believing that she was the actual character from her favourite TV show - PJ Masks.
Soon she'll learn that all that make believe stuff was not real and then that little sparkle in her eye will be gone forever.
We all have this finite non-renewable resource called time.
It's a big focus of mine because I want to spend my time efficiently so I can maximise everything that I'm doing.
Whether it's my alone study time, work or leisure time I always have time management at the forefront of my thoughts.
Everyday!
At ProPhysio+ we subscribe to a weekly huddle where the Executive Team spend 30-45 minutes discussing the week that has passed and anything that needs to be addressed for the upcoming week.
We review goals and targets that we are trying to reach within our business and it helps reconnect everyone so we are all on the same page.
What do your meetings look like? Are they targeted or loosely held meetings? Try the targeted meetings where the agenda has been pre-established!
It's a time of year when pre-season is in full swing.
Bodies are healthy, participation is an all time high and everyone is enthusiastic when the sun is out and still shining in March.
The real work is yet to come...
I am in a position where I have some days o the week to help takes the kids to school.
This is something that I have enjoyed as I get to see and hear all the excitement that I've been missing out on!
A follow up to Podcast 32 - the Scratchy Throat ended up being Pharyngitis!
First time ever that I've had to battle this infection which struck me down with cold sweats, achy joints and low energy. I think it was stress related with lowered my immune system then allowed the little lemmings in!
What are you spending your time on?
Does it improve you? Does it create more time? Are you happy with the trade off?
Here's my simple observations of how I apply Opportunity Cost to my daily routine.
Sleep in my Top 3 things that I biohack to remain healthy.
In saying that I still have a lot of work to do to stay on top of having a good nights' sleep and a lot of that comes from having a great routine and maintaining discipline within my household.
As a busy parent having 2 kids under 4yo it can be a challenge but not to brag my wife Belinda and I have produced a system where the kids are sleeping in their own rooms and (can be hit and miss) through the night giving Mum and Dad the rest we need!
Being a biohacker involves deep learning of all things health. Whether it's traditional and conservative Western models of medicine or long held practices with Eastern philosophies.
That fusion of East meets West is key for lifelong health in my humble opinion.
I have developed a scratchy throat which traditionally is a precursor to getting sick.
Listen how I start to strategise my game plan to knock this out of the park and maintain my full well being.
Review Episode 20 when I introduce this concept of helping our community sporting clubs but providing first class medical assistance.
I'll detail the recent developments and the excitement as we buildup to the pre-season calendar of games with Footscray Rugby Union Club.
Round starts on 27 Apr 2019 after Easter.
I'm 34yo and every year the fellas I grew up with commit the last weekend of Feb to have a weekend together. Things have changed over the years - we now have kids, long work hours, young businesses, commitments and less time. This yearly retreat is a great way to recharge the batteries so we can go back to our families energised!
Listen to my real world experience of Private vs Public Healthcare. It's an account of my minor sinus surgery and how I decided to fix it up!
I have been guilty of burying my head in the sand and 'hoping' things get better. This journey from having a sore tooth pulled out 3 years ago to finally having no pain or smells (yuck!) has been life changing and life proving (seriously!).
This week I'll be getting complete blood panel so I can biohack what the numbers mean to me. It's pretty easy to organise. 1) See you local GP 2) Ask for a full blood panel that'll pick up your biochemistry, cholestoerol levels, hormones and other important markers and 3) organise a time with a pathology lab to draw your blood.
I'll review my results with you in a future podcast!
Compared to a lot of places around the world I would place our Healthcare system in the Top 3!
Here I describe how our system works by introducing the Private Healthcare System.
Compared to a lot of places around the world I would place our Healthcare system in the Top 3!
Here I describe how our system works by introducing the Public Healthcare System.
Being apart of a community is a great way to stay connected and keep healthy.
I am apart of some Facebook groups which is a great way to share and learn information from each other.
Word of warning! Some groups are not what they are pumped up to be!
This is follow up podcast to a FREE resource I'm sharing for everyday Australians.
The Prehab Playbook is my go to exercise series for the Hip where 60+ different pain problems/injuries can be fixed with ONE exercise progression.
Sounds too good to be true but I've been using this Hip Series for over 10 years with AWESOME results.
This is an introduction to a FREE resource I'm sharing for everyday Australians. The Prehab Playbook is my go to exercise series for the Shoulder where 60+ different pain problems/injuries can be fixed with ONE exercise progression.
Sounds too good to be true but I've been using this Shoulder Series for over 10 years with AWESOME results.
Sometimes the best thing to do is to keep things simple.
Health and exercise can be a complicated business and it just make your effort more overwhelming.
I believe in Pareto's Law of 80/20.
80% of your best results will come from 20% of your effort!
One of the initiatives we are building is helping our community sporting groups.
How? By providing professional support for all teams within the sporting club. A lot of it has to do with my sports experience within the local footy/rugby/netball clubs. They need help and we can provide the answer!
When you are building your empire you need team members. If you are playing support you are relying on your team mates.
Today we welcome our new team member in the physio clinic - Aarvinder Sandhu.
Check him out --> https://www.prophysioplus.com.au/blogcontent/2019/02/20/welcome-to-the-team-aarvi
I'm currently in the early stages of ready Dave Asprey's new book - "Game Changers" which introduces an idea called decision fatigue.
If you could automate your day with routine to reduce the energy your brain requires to process things then you are left with more energy to spend on other tasks.
I report on how I practice this idea in my normal daily life to preserve energy! Enjoy
Started Oct 2016 and still going strong.
Highly recommend this online program from Coach Christopher Somer! My immediate goal is to build strength to be able to hold a strict handstand for 30 seconds then the next stage is trying to perform a planche and muscle up on Olympic Rings. I expect this to take me another 2-3 years of steady strengthening work.
Wish me luck!
I remember driving around Melbourne and wishing that I had an open road in front me.
I now have the open road in front of me and I'm now guilty of wishing for more things instead of appreciating what I have is what I wished for.
Appreciate where you are in your journey because you one day wished for the things you have today!
Have you thought about the comparisons between the military and business?
Or the strict routine the military follow in order to achieve a goal. There are a lot of lessons that we can borrow from the military. Discipline is the key!
Treat yourself like a race horse! The gambling industry is a massive industry and the horses that race are multi-million dollar machines. Imagine the care and management of those animals.
Imagine the care and management of elite athletes!
Imagine if you applied those same principles in your everyday life. Be a thoroughbred!
My wife Belinda and I had the original goal of losing weight. After a short period of time we achieved our goals and decided to make a new goal.
Longevity and quality of life is our new target which will be a long term journey of discovery. First stop - time restricted eating!
Ryan Holiday talks about how you position adversity as something that can build your resilience.
How do you overcome adversity? When you have an injury can you work within your means to recover? What's your self talk like when something negative happens to you?
My tagline at the clinic is "Making Healthy Simple".
Have you ever had to explain something to someone and they gave you the blank stare? That's until you break it down and tell a story and you explain 'kinda like..." which then turns on the light bulb?
Health can have big scary sounding words which sound like a foreign language.
I use "Kinda Like..." stories when I explain injuries to paint a simple picture for people to understand. Hope it helps you!
Spending 2 hours max to pre-prepare your meals to be warmed up later is a simple strategy to win back some time to spend on other important things to you and your family.
Imagine spending 2 hours on a Sunday bulk cooking food which can supply the whole week (Mon to Sat) - lunch and dinner done!
If you spend 2 hours preparing dinner every night that's potentially 8-12 hours of time you can save and spend on other things like playing with your kids, spending time with family or catching up with friends. Sounds good to me!
The last Part of how I biohack my health - scientific research, internal medicine, supplementation and self improvement.
Dave Asprey and being Bulletproof is the main teacher I follow amongst many others!
Part 2 of how I biohack health daily.
I am a big practitioner of mindfulness and reflection and I share my morning routine with you. I also apply a 30 min exercise which is home based Gymnastics Strength Training by Coach Christopher Sommer!
In my personal effort to biohack my health I have 3 Pillars that help me track my progress.
Part 1 is on my practice of Food & Water. Enjoy!
Have you ever had such great service that you became a raving fan? Or how about that time you were disappointed with the service?
I had such a good experience after having a minor surgery recently that it's affected the way I think about my own service in Physio!
Let me describe to you my 3 Pillars.
1) Food/Water
2) Air/Exercise
3) Biohacking/Physio
I'll also point you towards my Top 5 podcasts/information I listen to - Dave Asprey, Tim Ferriss, Alex Charfen, Dr. Eric Berg, Tony Robbins, Thomas DeLauer and Russell Brunson.
Journey back 5 years and recounted the health journey we've been on! The journey continues...
After the Australia Day public holiday it's usually time to get the kids back to school!
Did you enjoy your school experience? Did you juggle around with the idea of what else you could be doing?
Technology has evolved so quickly. Are our schools keeping up?
Keen to hear what you think!
When you're travelling in a car/bus/train you can spend that time exercising your mind. Pretty straight forward.
Try applying the same idea when you're standing in the queue at Aldi, or if you're at lining up at the bank. Fight the temptation to pull your phone out to mindlessly look at what's on your social media feed!
Being my first podcast I thought it'd be fun to review where it all started... How I became a Physio in Melbourne, Australia!
