Mankind is hanging on by a thread. Forced to be constantly on the move to survive, staying in the light. After The Ancestors left Earth searching for a new home, they found 'Oasus'. After 500 years of utopia, it all came crashing down with the arrival of The Dark.
Joseph has just enough time to upload a short transmission. Out of fear of losing his life, Joseph wants to be heard one last time.

After recovering from the attack, Joseph finds time to make another upload. Doing his best to keep composure and continue the telling of chronicling of Mankind's history. At least he thought it was going to be that easy.
Broken vehicles, and lost friends have prevented Joseph from uploading until now. Although he doesn't have much time, he is able to get some quick words onto Orbiter 1.
We first hear of Mankind's final history through the words and eyes of Joseph Crane. One of the few left in The Collective who has refused to give up hope. Uploading his words to Orbiter 1, the last satellite left in the sky from The Ancestors, He hopes that Mankind will not be forgotten.
