Kay Dizzle real name Kenneth Danquah is an Afrobeats/R&B singer, songwriter, rapper and performer based in Ghana. He is also very versatile and very adept at various other genres including Hiphop and Dancehall. He grew up in Dansoman Accra which has produced some of the country’s biggest names in music. He holds a BSc Computer Science degree from the Regent University College in Accra, Ghana. He developed the love and passion for music around the age of 15 drawing inspiration from artists like Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Wyclef Jean among others. At a young age he also sang with the church choir. Kay Dizzle’s current song is Yenti featuring Jo Quaye, a hiphop/drill street anthem. His Remix of Show Baba which featured Dopenation also won Afropop song of the year in the Eastern Music Awards 2019. His song ‘Murder’ also gained him 4 nominations in the Ghana Music Awards South Africa 2018. Kay Dizzle has also written songs for various people including Wondaboy (Nigeria), Juliet Ibrahim (Ghana), Asantewaa (Ghana) etc. Kay Dizzle released ‘FINDING ME’ in 2017, an afrobeats/highlife EP which was his first official body of work and gained some great reviews on some major Ghanaian entertainment websites. He has also performed on the same stages as some of the heavyweights in the Ghanaian music industry including Sarkodie, R2Bees, Samini, Joey B, Teephlow, D Black, and more. Some of the major shows Kay Dizzle has performed at include Ghana Party in the Park (London), Meet Me There (Milton Keynes), Chris Brown Hope City Concert (Accra), Ghana Independence (London, Cardiff), Dansoman Homecoming Festival (Accra) and many other events of various sizes. Kay Dizzle has gradually gained a name for himself with his ability to switch genres effortlessly to convey his musical message which makes him a refreshing act to experience.
