A National Champion and two-time national coach of the year, Coach Billeter has personally attended the last 35 NCAA DI Final Fours, dating back to 1985. During the podcast, coach Billeter shares some of his favorite stories, looks back at some of the all-time great teams, and touches on how the event has changed over the last three decades. As of February 2020, Thielbar is currently playing for the Minnesota Twins, looking to make the Big League roster after spring training. Thielbar played for the Minnesota Twins from 2013-2015 and spent time with the Padres, Marlins, Tigers and Braves organizations for a total of 10 professional seasons.
A native of small-town Randolph, Minnesota, Thielbar played college baseball at South Dakota State University. Thielbar enjoyed a great four year career at SDSU and left as the all time leader in starts (44) and innings pitched (274). He wound up fifth on the all-time strikeouts list and tied the school record with 100 as a senior. On the podcast, Theilbar discusses his hometown, coaching at Augustana, and his journey to Major League Baseball.

Guest host Augustana Athletic Director Josh Morton is joined by a pair of student-athletes in Augustana Wrestler Daniel Bishop and Viking swimmer Taylor Beagle. Bishop, a sophomore from Sioux City, Iowa, is coming off a strong 2019 season where he had an overall record of 18-16 at 184 pounds. Wrestling at 197 this season, Bishop is 11-8 with one pin on his record. Beagle, a Junior from Lead, South Dakota is one of the most decorated swimmers in the Vikings four year history. A year ago, Taylor became the first swimmer in program history to earn All-American status (1000 freestyle and 1650 freestyle) as well as All-NSIC Academic and Scholar All-America honors. In 2019-20, Beagle has helped the Vikings a to a program-record seven wins.

It’s certainly a special year for the Augustana Vikings Football team, and the programs success starts with the leadership of the six Viking captains: Drew Reinschmidt, Rudolh Sinflorant, Kyle Theis, Alec Blonquist, Jake Lacina and Michael Kloza. Ahead of Saturday’s opening-round playoff game, five of the captains joined the Viking Voices podcast to discuss everything from leadership to style of play and Saturday’s matchup. It was a remarkable fall season for Augustana Women’s golf, claiming team titles and individual championships in four-of-six events. With their fall season now in the books, head coach Peggy Kirby and junior Alex Stone sat down to join the Viking Voices Podcast.
On the podcast, hear about how the Vikings finished the fall season on a high note, winning the DII National Preview by knocking off multiple top-25 programs. Stone shot a three-round 271 to earn medalist honors at the National Preview. In addition to hearing about the Viking golf season, Kirby and Stone join in the lightning round, asking rapid-fire questions looking for a fun response.

On the Viking Voices podcast, Micko discusses the 2018-19 season and previews the upcoming 2018-19 NSIC Women's Swimming & Diving Championships. The conference championships will take place here in Sioux Falls, starting on Wednesday Feb. 13 and running until Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019. All events will take place at the Midco Aquatic Center.
Micko, who is in her 4th season with the program, was named the first swimming head coach in school history on July 8, 2015 and has built the program from the ground up.

Sam Lee, a former Augustana University football All-American and current pro on the Birmingham Iron of Alliance of American Football league, was recently back in Sioux Falls and joined the Viking Voices podcast. Lee looks back at his time on campus, but also the excitement as he get set to start his first professional training camp. Each team in the AAFL starts camp with 75 players, with rosters cut to 52 for the start of the season. Birmingham opens the season on Feb. 10, at Legion Field against Memphis.
