Travis Mundy continues our Christmas series titled “Looking Forward to Christmas”. This week, the Bible reading is Matthew 1:18-25. We are thinking about the arrival of Jesus arrival on the first Christmas and how it points forward to another advent - or arrival - of Jesus.
This week, Kieran launches our Christmas series by preaching on 2 Peter 3:1-9.
Our Christmas series is titled “Looking Forward to Christmas”. It has us looking back to Jesus’ arrival and looking forward to His return.
Christmas gives us the opportunity to look back to what happened in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago, that arrival of a baby named Jesus, and how it has changed history forever.
As Christians, we have weighed up the evidence and we are convinced that Jesus was who he said he was, God incarnate, the infinite One who limited Himself so that we could be rescued. For this reason, Christmas time shouldn’t be a time of only looking back, we should also look forward.
We can look forward to the promise that Jesus has made us: that He will come back and when He does, He will renew the world. Jesus will bring justice and show mercy to those who have put their trust in him. For us, this time of year is a time of great celebration and great hope because we are looking forward to another Christmas when Jesus will return.
This week, Leon continues our 'His Kingdom Our Home' series by preaching on Luke 16:1-18.
This week, Travis continues our 'His Kingdom Our Home' series by preaching on Luke 15:1-10.
Reading through the book of Luke, this sermon series at Narrabeen Baptist Church will help us better understand God’s kingdom in the now and not yet.
This week, we return to our series through Luke called “His Kingdom, Our Home”. Travis preaches from Luke 14:1-14.
Week 2 is all about grace. How can we graciously and lovingly disagree with others? How can we hold to the truth, yet still be in fellowship and maintain friendships with those who think differently? We’ll think both of our relationships in the church and our witness to those outside the church.
Discussion Questions
What makes something a non-essential issue?
How gracious are you in your disagreements?
What changes can you make based on Romans 14-15?
What non-Biblical truth do you find yourself aligning to in an unhealthy way?
We have hope in Christ, we are God’s glorious inheritance, we have God’s power. When of these do you need reminding of?
What will you do with what you’ve learned today?

Travis Mundy preaches on Luke 13:22-30.
Discussion Questions
Have you been too casual about the invitation to salvation?
How can salvation be a free gift of grace from God and yet require our effort and attention?
When is the last time you marveled that you have been invited to the wedding banquet of the Lamb? How might you do that this week?
From the series “His Kingdom, Our Home”. Kieran Degan preaches on Luke 13L10-21.
Discussion Questions
When you’re longing for the Kingdom, do you need to trust Jesus’ words more?
Where can you see the Kingdom at work around you?
How will you mix in and work through this week?
Reading through the book of Luke, this sermon series at Narrabeen Baptist Church will help us better understand God’s kingdom in the now and not yet.
Kieran Degan preaches on Luke 12:1-12.
Here are the discussion questions:
Think about a time you shared your faith boldly. Why were you bold in that moment?
Think about a time you didn’t speak up when you had the chance. Why didn’t you?
Any suffering for our faith is only temporary, you are of great worth to God, and He will give you the words to say. Which one of these three truths do you most need to hear?
Can you think of a situation coming up soon where you’ll need to speak about your faith? What will you do?
Reading through the book of Luke, this sermon series at Narrabeen Baptist Church will help us better understand God’s kingdom in the now and not yet.
Travis Mundy preaches on Luke 11:37-54.
Has your commitment to Christ waned with the loss of spiritual habits (going to church, worship, Community Groups, corporate prayer)? What does this indicate about the vibrancy of your faith?
Are you now, in the pandemic, someone who is reaching out and caring for people? Are you someone who is reaching out of God? What might the lack of these things indicate about the depth of your faith?
Are you currently practicing all the things you’ve been taught in church, Bible studies, personal devotions and by those who have mentored you? Or have you, because of the loss of these things, “switched off” from obedience? What does this indicate about the authenticity of your faith?
This week, Daniel is preaching on Luke 23:44-56 and we will ask "Jesus, is God good?". We will consider how the cross reveals something of God's love and justice.

Wisdom is putting into practice habits of how life works best, how God created things to be. Whether we find ourselves struggling in the middle of a pandemic or wondering why we’re here or simply navigating the patterns of everyday life, timeless truths from the Creator of the universe speak into each and every situation we experience.
“Get Wisdom” is the series we’re going to dive into for the remainder of the year. Through sermons, studies, seminars and conversations, we are going to connect ourselves to the ways of wisdom and more importantly, the author of that wisdom so that we are better prepared to walk through the highs and lows of life.
Were Not Our Hearts Burning Within Us - from the very beginning of the human story there has been a crying out - for healing, for restoration, for all things being made right. At the end of Luke’s gospel, two people walk away from Jerusalem - from the death of a dear friend. They were followers of Jesus and thought he might be the answer to all of our deepest longings. But he was gone and so was hope. Until someone walked along the road with them and spoke into their story and every story. They soon realized it was Jesus who entered their space and they said “were not our hearts burning within us as he walked along the road and spoke with us.” Jesus has that same effect on is today. He enters in, walks beside us and transforms our story.
This series takes us along the road with Jesus to find our stories and hope in him and find our hearts burning because of it.

We are Jesus’ apprentices. The term apprentice is to be used as a synonym of disciple. Many people think of a disciple as a mere follower. The word apprentice forces us to look beyond the simple act of following and moves us into ideas of training and preparation to continue in the work that Jesus is beginning.
We will read through the Gospel of Mark, written by John Mark, an apprentice of Peter. Peter is telling his story of apprenticeship to Jesus and we get glimpses of what an apprentice learns, experiences and how they are equipped for the task of fishing for people.

Normally you come to a prophet and listen to what God says through them. Jonah is different. He only has 5 words from God in his sermon. Whilst that might seem appealing, God has a lot more to say in this little book. In this 8-week series we are exploring the all-too-familiar story and inviting you to look & see what God’s message is through Jonah. It might be surprising to learn that it is not really about Jonah or the fish. It is about an unchanging God and YOU.
