Kim and Zazz are watching Dawson’s Creek from the very beginning, and we want you to join. For Kim, Dawson’s Creek was a formative part of her young teen years, and since then has watched it all the way through a couple of times before this. Meanwhile, Zazz missed it on the first run and is now watching it all for the first time.
After meeting on another WB/CW show (aw) and working in TV production for almost a decade (yikes), we’re using this incredibly weird time in our lives to rewatch and discuss every episode on a podcast - you know, just like our grandparents did.

Season 5, Episode 16 - “In a Lonely Place”
From HBO Max: As Joey is forced to face up to her feelings for Professor Wilder, Jen and Pacey get some unexpected advice on romance from a pair of touring musicians.
Not sure what to say about this episode except that it exists. But on the plus side - Zazz has some mango! Plus, Kim wants to be a ghost fly.
Season 5, Episode 15 - “Downtown Crossing”
From HBO Max: Joey helps a mugger who robbed her just before he was hit by a car.
Look out world, Dawson’s making himself a movie! And while Kim can’t stop touching the microphone (sorry friends - I didn’t know I was doing it), that’s the least of Zazz’s issues with this episode. Come for the episode, stay for the oddly long conversation about Limp Bizkit, and not enough conversations about Notting Hill.
Season 5, Episode 14 - “Guerilla Filmmaking”
From HBO Max: As Dawson struggles to direct a classmate’s script, Joey confronts her own feelings about Professor Wilder.
Jen’s doing baby talk, Dawson’s in film school, and Joey’s making… choices. But none of that, not one single beat of those stories, compares to the absolute genius that is Zazz’s Italian drums.

Kim deals with gardeners, Zazz watches her neighbor’s dog, and both of them do their very best to remember that, in theory, this is supposed to be a show about Dawson’s Creek.
Season 5, Episode 11 - “Something Wild”
From HBO Max: Jen tries to convince Boston to move to Boston, while Joey, Pacey and Audrey team up for a night to celebrate their respective achievements.
In an episode full of one-on-one heavy conversations after the discovery of Jen and Dawson… Pacey is increasingly charming and a damn delight. Also Charlie exists.
Season 5, Episode 10 - “Appetite for Destruction”
From HBO Max: Dawson and Jen return home to an unexpected dinner party where their new relationship is suddenly unveiled.
So this episode... exists. And that's really all we can say about it.
Season 5, Episode 9 - “Four Scary Stories”
From HBO Max: Jen solicits four scary stories during her Halloween night stint as a substitute DJ at the campus radio station.
Don’t worry - in between talk of fidget toys and the office supplies we stole from Hart of Dixie, we still find plenty of time to complain about frats.
Season 5, Episode 8 - “Hotel New Hampshire”
From HBO Max: As Audrey and Joey join Jack and his friends at a fraternity formal, Dawson invites Jen to join him for a weekend in New Hampshire.
We’re talking The Whale, Real World Seattle, and updates on Jack and Jill and Trophy Wife. And also Dawson’s Creek - if there’s time.
Season 5, Episode 7 - “Text, Lies, and Videotape”
From HBO Max: As Dawson begins therapy, Joey looks for the self-confidence to voice her opinions, while Pacey discovers the truth behind Danny’s affair.
This became a Trophy Wife podcast less than two minutes in and, honestly, it never recovered.
Season 5, Episode 6 - “High Anxiety”
From HBO Max: While in Boston to see a psychiatrist about his anxiety, Dawson learns that his friend’s lives are in turmoil, too.
Dawson’s never been more relatable, Jack’s never been more upsetting, and Jen’s never wasted more coffee. Plus, Zazz spills the tea on the HBO Max intern writing the episode summaries, and Kim learns what drinking games are.
Season 5, Episode 5 - “Use Your Disillusion”
From HBO Max: Joey anxiously prepares for a visit from Dawson; Jack is forced to choose between his fraternity brothers and Tobey.
It’s time for the episode Kim’s been dreading all series and Zazz has been dreading all morning. For sure the most brutal episode to get through, as well as (in our humble opinions) the best of the season. Just an exceptionally written hour of television.
Season 5, Episode 4 - “The Long Goodbye”
From HBO Max: As Dawson takes on the responsibility of holding the family together following his dad’s death, his friends all look for ways they can help ease the pain.
New year, same Zazz and Kim rants about feminism, college prices, and frats. And in a stunning amount of bravery… Kim and Zazz do a lot of non-audio communication in an audio medium.
Season 5, Episode 3 - “Capeside Revisited”
From HBO Max: Dawson finds his dad won’t support his decision to drop out of film school; Joey learns of Pacey’s presence in Boston.
What happened this weekend? We’ll never know. But this episode has Jennifer Morrison in it and if you leave this episode with one piece of knowledge, let it be this: Jennifer Morrison? Super smart.

Season 5, Episode 1 - “The Bostonians”
From HBO Max: Though they have all left Capeside for school and beyond, things between Joey, Dawson, Jen, Jack and Pacey remain unsettled.
Let’s start with this fact and go from there: how DARE anyone give this one a 23% on Rotten Tomatoes? In our longest episode yet, Zazz goes beat-by-beat through Coyote Ugly, and Kim tells the story of a social media interaction that had her rethinking her entire life.

It’s the season four finale! Can. You. Believe. It?? (We cannot) Dawson and Joey are making moves, Kim has a hot press on nail tip (not press on nail tips, a tip about press on nails), and Zazz rounds out the episode with some #TechTalk. Plus, special guest star Retro has thoughts.
Season 4, Episode 23 - “Coda”
From HBO Max: As Dawson prepares to leave for college, he and Joey reunite in order to say goodbye.
Listen as Zazz and Kim realize, ON AIR, that Eataly is a chain. Plus, Zazz has an A+ snack, Drew has a C- prank, Grams has a quick sale on the house, and Kim is ABSOLUTELY FINE with it being Election Day.
Season 4, Episode 22: “The Graduate”

Kim tells an embarrassing story about being a fan of this episode’s writer, while Zazz has some very specific thoughts on Das*ni water. Oh, and also, the cast of characters of Dawson’s Creek do different things.
Season 4, Episode 21: “Separation Anxiety”
From HBO Max: Gretchen’s return to college forces Dawson to make an important decision of his own; Jen balks when Grams wants to sell the house to pay for her college tuition.
In an episode recorded right after Midnights was released, Zazz is upset about hand gestures, Kim is upset about never holding a World Record, and everyone with a heart is upset about how Pacey treats Joey.
Season 4, Episode 20 - “Promicide”
From HBO Max: While sparking a pair of possible romances, Capeside’s senior prom threatens the future of two others.
What’s the difference between fishing and camping? What’s the proper length of time Gail can be overdue before she gets induced? What’s more important, being a good girlfriend or being a girlfriend with surprises? All the questions get answered and more!

From HBO Max: As Gail struggles with an overdue baby, Joey worries that she may be pregnant.

From HBO Max: Senior Ditch Day sends Dawson and Gretchen on a road trip to Maine; Jen takes Joey to New York for a showdown with her dad.
The ladies are on one (aren’t they always?) about college tuition prices, while Zazz gives a play-by-play of Aaron Judge’s time at bat.

We asked for a storyline for Jen. We begged for a storyline for Jen. All to get… this one. Also, as a reminder: no good comes from lying.
