18 year old Dylan St. Ledger from New Ross is an up and coming rapper with big dreams. He is about to perform in his hometown to raise money for his sister who has a rare form of cancer.

Joan Kavanagh, from Oulart, is a mother of six and is the June recipient of the South east Radio Talbot Hotel's Outstanding Achievement Award. Joan has had many trials and tribulations in her life yet always thinks of other before herself. She has raised more than 20,000 euro over the years for different charities. It was an honour having Joan along with family and friends in South East Radio studio to spring the surprise on the Morning Mix. Congratulations to Joan Kavanagh!
Jim Kealy was joined by Dublin based acoustic rock band In Focus. The band composed of 5 lads, took to the stage Friday 14th of August to win the grand title of the Your Local Star competition in association with South East Radio in the Riverside Park Hotel as one of three joint first prize winners! Sean, David, Jordan, Adam and Ian are building their path to success and are on to share their story and 2 original songs - We are sure to be hearing more of them in the future!
