Curious and informal conversations with entrepreneurs, practitioners, scholars and business leaders who have diverse perspectives on how a human first approach is better for business. A Tribe Talks is the podcast series from A Tribe Called Humans - a human collective for better business.
We recorded a curious conversation with Greg Sherwin - a human-centered technology leader who helps solve complex systemic challenges through human flourishing and emergence. Greg is the Senior Principal Engineer at farfetch, part of the Global faculty of Singularity University and on the Board of Advisors and an ambassador of the House of Beautiful Business.
In this episode we talk about the humanness of feeling awkward and how leaning into this helps create space for creativity and calling out for all the good reasons why people make mistakes. We explore how to encourage experimentation and celebrate failure on organisational levels and what businesses could gain by adapting more of the unpredictable process of making art. Spirituality and business seem to be two very distant worlds for many. So we sat down with Katharina Kugler, to discuss how she is paving a more human way to business by bridging the gap between spiritual practices and economic value creation. In this conversation we explore the role of personal purpose over company purpose, the impact of meditation and affirmations on entrepreneurial success and the power of mindful silence in a busy work day. We also wonder if companies can be run on intentions alone and Katharina guides us through a little breathing exercise in the end. Ready? Then take a deep breath...

This time we speak with Elliott Callender, Founder and CEO of nodeunlock, with a mission to solve the global consciousness crisis by nurturing human transformation, continuously.
Elliott shares his view of better business, which is having that quality of awareness within your organization that pores every amps and essence of what it is to be human into every interaction, every touch points, every space and creation that you are outputting and creating within your organization that should be baked in. We also talk about how we can be more connected to the things around us, how life runs in sequences of yes's and no's, why it's so difficult to peel off our corporate skins and the power of pausing.
A interesting conversation with our collaborator and solo entrepreneur Marta Michniewicz who recently conducts research in the field of mental health pre- and post-covid with a focus on female body dissatisfaction and empowering women to be more self-confident at workplace.
