What does it mean to pray? How do I pray? Is it possible to pray wrong? When should I pray?

Will God's will always happen? How do I hear from God? How do I know I'm going to heaven?🤔🤷♂️Knowing we have a relationship with God is not because of knowledge, it's because we are able to hear God's voice and have experienced god in our life's.

What are prophetic words? Is prophecy just a pastor's thing? Prophetic words are words that are given by God to help encourage people. Prophecy is not just a pastor's thing God meant for everyone to prophecy.
Is there power in my words? 🤔🤷♂️. "The tongue has power of life and death" Proverbs 18:21. Our words are very powerful and we have to be careful in the way that we use them.
Blaspheming God! What is blaspheming God? How do I get to heaven? How do I show God's love? The truth is that God loves everyone single one of you and wants to have a personal relationship with you, not a task list or list of rules that you have to follow to earns his love.
How Far Does God's Grace Really Go? Can I earn God's Grace? Does God send gay people to hell? What do I have to do to be saved or go to heaven? The truth is that God loves everyone no matter what you've done and if you truly believe in your heart that he is Lord and that he died an raised from the grave then you will be saved.
Dinosaurs in the Bible? The world will try to tell you that dinosaurs existed millions of years before humans were every created or on earth in order to convince people that evolution is real. But this is not the case because in the Bible it says that all land animals were created on the 6th day (Genesis 1:24-31).There are also countless records of carvings and writings of dinosaurs in culture over the years.
Is there a God? Does God send people to hell? How was the world created? In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made (John 1:1-3).
What does it mean to be an atheist? Can you prove there isn't a God? It actually requires more faith to be an atheist than it does to believe in God.
It is one thing to come into agreement with God. Power is released in our lives when we come into agreement with others, while aligned with God.
Is it wrong to have wealth as a Christian? Is the Tithe still relevant after the cross? Giving has more to do with your faith than you might realize.
It isn't hard to step on someone's toes. We live in a world that values an individual's ideas more than human beings. Join us as we tackle the issue of "taking offense".
Why are you bringing religion into this? If we truly do believe that we serve a living God that created the universe, don't you think he'd have something to say about how we conduct our lives?
How do I hear from God? Did you know that you were created for relationship with your creator? God wants to communicate with you and he is right now.
The word "Masculinity" is now associated with negativity. What is the biblical model of a Father? What does the Bible say about Masculinity and the way men should carry themselves? Join us for this family discussion :)
Is Hell all it's cracked up to be? In this episode we discuss what the Bible has to say about Hell.
Does God Lie? A lot of people have this misconception that God is holding out on them in their live's or that He is a liar but this is not true. God is Love, it's impossible for God to be a liar because everything that He says is true. He loves and cares for you so much that He sent His one and only Son to die a gruesome death on the cross so that you could have life and so that you could spend eternity with Him.
Have you ever considered where or who shaped the thoughts you currently hold that oppose God's Word? "There's a way that seems right but least death" Proverbs 14:12. Passions need parameters.
Is Abortion Right or Wrong?
There's been a lot of tension about the topic of abortion in the news these past couples of weeks on whether it's right or wrong. As followers of God we believe that a baby no matter how many weeks is still a life and should be treated as such.
We have to learn how to forgive people, because God who did no wrong forgave you and your sins even though you did not deserve it. We have a wrong understanding of forgiveness, it's not minimizing the seriousness of the offense, it's not reconciliation and its not forgetting what happened, real forgiveness is remembering what happened and still having the peace of God in your heart.
We need to stop comparing ourselves to others. God made everyone of you on purpose and for a purpose and He made you in His image.
Prayer is such an important thing that should be apart of all of our daily live's because that's where we get to talk to our creator and our father and just truly experience the goodness of God and all that he has for us. God wants to talk to you and have a relationship with you.
Mental health is a real and serious problem. Depression is not a malfunction of the mind, it's a signal, it is trying to tell us that there are some things that we need to look at. Depression is not your identity, it is just what you are struggling with, it is not who you are. God's will and desire is to set you free. "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free" Galatians 5:1.
There is so much power in the tongue, so we have to be careful in the ways that we are using are words, because words have either the power to give life or death.
God can take what's in your hands and multiply it. In order for God to multiply what we have it needs to be blessed, which means we have to tithe or give 10% to remove the curse from our finances because we will be able to do more with the blessed 90% than the cursed 100%. You also have to give before he can multiply it and the tithe is not giving because that already belongs to God you have to go above and beyond. When we do these things God can do the miraculous like when the disciples fed the 5,000 men (20,000 total people) with just five loaves of bread and two fish.
We were all created to be generous but were born selfish. Jesus put Judas in charge of the finances knowing that he was a thief, He didn't do this to set him up to fail, He did it to give Judas an opportunity to pass. God will test you, He does not tempt you. God will set you up to succeed.
Mammon is the Spirit that rests on money. You can either serve Mammon or God but you can't serve both, you will either love one and hate the other or be loyal to one and despise the other. Money is not the problem, you just need to be a good steward of it, honor God with the first and steward the rest.
When we act with God's prompting plus obedience then we will always experience the miraculous in our lives. When we do what we can, God does what we can't.
God must be first in your life. This means that we give God our first 10% and not the left overs. There are three things that God cannot do, God cannot change, God cannot think like us and God cannot be second.
God is a good God and it was our sin that caused bad things to happen. Job who was a good and faithful servant and never cursed God was even allowed to be tested by God because He knew that the trials that would come would only make him stronger. God is not an evil God He is our father and He wants the best for His children.
Command or Suggestion?
This is a Command of Christ. Water Baptism is a Public Declaration of our Faith and Identity with Christ. It is also an illustration of what happened to us because of Christ sacrifice on the cross.
In this episode we will discuss the history, Purpose, and application to your own life.
Giving is about the heart, Jesus said "Where your treasure is there your heart will be". Your heart is connected to your money, if God can get you to give him your money he will have your heart. God will never give you much if he can't trust you with the little because he knows that it will just destroy you.
There are spectators, fans and players. Which one are you? Are you on the couch watching the game or are you in it?
We need to be devoted in our everyday lives to the 3 W's, Worship or the praising of God, War or prayer, and the Word or the message. Worship is our response to what we value most, we all worship something in our lives, whether it's our family or football or money, but God called us to put him first above all other things and to be the worship leaders of heaven. We were created to have an intimate relationship with God and you can't have a relationship with someone if you don't spend time with them or talk to them or when you just come to them when you need something.
Everyone is going to die, that is a fact. We need to stop living for this world and need devote ourself to eternity and to our savior Jesus and to the spreading of good news of Jesus because eternity is forever, this life on this world is temporary.
So many people need the power of God in their life but they don't go to church. People are quick to blame God for not doing anything in their life's but they fail to get to the place where God is there and willing to work in their life's. Satan works so hard to get you hurt and offended by the very people that God has put in your life to protect you, because he knows the power that the gathering of believers has. We need to plunder hell and populate heaven.
We have been devoted to our family, friendships, career, retirement, screen time, sports teams but God has called us to be devoted to Him. Every system is perfectly designed to get the results it gets. Just because you are devoted to a lie that will not make it true, our fulfillment comes when we are devoted to the things God has created for us. What you devote your life to, will become your master.
Everyone needs relationships in their life no matter who you are, God did not create us to be alone, he created us to have community. The church is meant to be a place where there is no judgement and where people can come in and feel loved and be vulnerable with what is going on their lives. But church is not just a Sunday thing, it's also in a small group where you can talk about the ugly in your life.
Jesus came bringing good news with great joy for all people. Religious people will try to fool you into believing that you have to fix your behavior before you come to Jesus, but really all you have to do is come as you are and He will accept you. We truly have the good news, because the death that was certain for us is no longer because of Jesus who paid it all for us when he died for our sins on the cross.
Jesus came so that everyone could come to know the name of Jesus no matter what you've done in your past or your diversity. It's about a relationship, not how well you act or are behaved.
The message of Jesus Christ is good news, and people will want the message to be true before they believe it's true. People have to know that Jesus loved them so much that he went and died on a cross so that they could have life and and not just life but life abundantly, he didn't come to judge them on their behavior or their past mistakes, but he came because he loves them and wants a relationship with them.
Just because you live in this world doesn't mean to have to claim it's reality and the truth is that because Jesus died on the cross we now as christians have the authority to claim victory over our circumstances and our situations. When we start looking to Christ it changes everything, we start seeing people as God's children and loving on them not because of their actions but because you have genuine love for them because you start seeing that they are our brothers and sisters in Christ and if our perfect God loved us as sinners, than we should love others too, no matter what they have done.
We have been in the last days ever since Jesus was taken up into heaven. But that shouldn't scare us because this Earth is not the plan. Minnesota is great but Heaven is way better! Instead of scaring people that there is a hell that we need to try and avoid, we should instead breathe life and hope into people by telling them that we have a God who loves us and just wants a relationship with us and wants to spend eternity with us in heaven.
All of us have a calling on our life to lead people to Christ, whether that is in our own neighborhood or across the world, all of us were called to to share the good news of Jesus to everyone. Jesus didn't die on the cross, so that only a few would have a chance to be with him in heaven, he died so that everyone could have the chance of spending eternity with him.
"There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent", Luke 24:47. We need to set aside our differences and start reaching the lost people of this world despite our biases towards them. "He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation", Mark 16:15.
People will never come to Christ if all you do is argue with them. If you don't have anything that brings life to a converstation don't say it. We need to start recognizing the fact that we are all sinners and by the grace and love of God we are saved and forgiven. When we begin to recognize this, we can start giving people hope that there is a creator that loves them, cares for them and wants the best for them in their life.
Linda Seiler who currently serves as a National Chi Alpha missionary, talks to us about how we can have compassion and also not compromise when it comes to the truth while still dealing with the problems of the world. We need to show people love and respect and not judge them for how they act or what they've done and by doing this we will be able to gain influence in their lives to tell them the good news of Jesus Christ and how much he loves them.
We can start being the salt of the earth by not just telling the people that already know about Jesus but by telling people that don't know, and we can do this when we start to value people. When we start valuing people for who they are and that is God's children, than we can start having influence in their lives. Here are five simple ways that we can add value to people in our every day lives, first we need to see people, two, we need to think of ways to add value to people, three, we need to look for ways to exercise adding value to people, four, we do things that add value to people or take action and not just have good intentions and lastly we can inspire others to value people by letting people see us add value to others. Matthew 25:35-40, Jesus valued people and so when you want to connect with Jesus you need to start valuing people.
Every single one of us is an influencer, whether you want to be or not, but it's what we do with that influence that sets us apart. Paul and Silas in Acts 16, had done nothing but good by casting a demon out of a slave girl but even in their good they were beaten and flogged, thrown into jail, and shackled. It's how they responded though that is the important part because instead of cursing God for the circumstance that they were in they decided to praise him, and in there praise they were not only freed from there physical shackles but the other prisoners took note of what they had done and were also freed and stayed because the presence of the Lord was there. We all have a sphere of influence that we can start sharing the good news of Jesus too. So let's be like Paul and Silas and spreading the good news to them.
Every single one of us has influence, so we need to start using it and being stewards of our influence and start spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to our neighbors. We need to stop being so scared of what other people will think of us or what they may say or what our culture says because there is only one truth that will never change and that is the word of God and that is Jesus. God created us to be the salt of the Earth, to purify, preserve, and to flavor.
We need to get rid of our biases towards different ethnicities and belief systems, because they're going to live forever whether they know it or not and it's up to us as the people of the church to tell them about the good news of Jesus. God isn't a God of favorites, he is an equal opportunity God who wants to see all of his children spend eternity with him.
We were created to be generous, but we let fear and lies prevent us from being the generous people of God that we were created to be. Generosity is not just about money, it is a life style. We need to be generous with our thinking, our planning, our looking and our listening. Christ demonstrated this to us by giving up his life so that we could have access to heaven.
The definition of faith is shown in Hebrews 11:1-2 "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. This is what the ancients were commended for. We all can have faith like the ancients were commended for if we just put God first, walk with God, Act on God's word, wait patiently, Don't trust your feelings, thank God in advance and finally we need to remember that God will always do the right thing. You're not going to have it all figured out, somewhere in your heart you know this is true. But thankfully we don't need to because we can trust that God is working on our behalf and that he will never fail us. Faith is the key we put in God's hands to turn our dreams into reality.
Theirs is a lot of discomfort with the third person of the trinity in the Holy Spirit, which really just comes back to bad translating, because just like God the Father and God the Son, the Holy Spirit is just as much of a person as them. Just because you can't see that He's there and working in your life does not mean that he is not there. We need to stop taking the Holy Spirit for granted, and go all in, because it's either we experience the abundant life that the Holy Spirit brings or we don't, there is no in-between. We need to get to know the person of the Holy Spirit.
We need to take time to rest and take a deep breath and realize that we don't always have to be in 'go mode' because even our creator took one day to rest, so what does that say about what we should do. The five fruits that result from not taking time to rest is the risk of sinful choices increases, your emotions are inconsistent, you are less productive, you end up feeling empty inside and finally and most importantly you won't be able to hear the voice of God. Thankfully though our creator gave us a solution in that we can come to him when we are weary and burdened and it says that he will give us rest (Matthew 11:28-30). Instead of always being in a rush we just need to take a minute to be still and just breath.
We need to choose to have a Christ like attitude because during this season of life there have been a lot of end time attitudes, but that is not meant for us we must choose to not follow the crowd and we need to choose to be grateful, loving, forgiving and holy, because the devil has come to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus has come to give us life and life abundantly. We have the choice to accept the good medicine that God has given us, we can either choose Life or death. Choose life.
We have to stop focusing on the external things and start focusing on our internal relationship with God. We need to get out of the Doldrums of life, meaning we need to stop pretending, blowing stuff off, giving up and finally dying whether that is physically or mentally. We can't just give up. We have to make the choice do we want to do more or do we want to receive what has already been done? Do we want to try and get God's approval or do we want to receive God's love for us? Last but not least do we want to obey because it's our duty or do we want to obey out of delight because we love God? We need to start making the right choice. Jesus didn't get crucified on the cross because he wanted to correct your behavior, he did it because he loves us and he wants a relationship with us. We need to stop holding onto our sin because Jesus already paid the price for it, it's not ours anymore.
Have you ever thought why is God letting this bad stuff happen to me, I read the Bible, I'm generous and am a good person and yet bad things are still happening to me? The answer is that God did not let evil into the world, he did not mean for bad things to happen, that was mans choice and the devil tries to use pain and hardships to keep your from the one who really loves you and cares about you, in your Heavenly Father. The trials that God lets happen in your life are meant to make you stronger and draw you closer in your relationship with God. Even Jesus asked if there was another way, but ultimately if Christ was never crucified, we would all be stuck with our sin forever. Let your pain be a pedestal for him to get the glory.
We need to not panic and give it the LORD. Moses who was in charge of all the Israelites and their cattle which would be thousands of people, was wandering with the Israelites through the wilderness of Zin when the Israelites started complaining about no food or water. When we are going through a rough time in life we need to get our hands and knees and start praying and realize that God is in control and not panic and give it to the LORD and trust that He knows what's best for our lives. So instead of panicking, Moses and Aaron decided to act and they started praying and they gave it to the LORD. So the LORD honored their faith and told Moses to speak to the Rock and enough water for the all the Israelites and their cattle came out of that Rock, all because Moses didn't panic and instead gave it to the LORD.
God created the world to have relationship with us, and in order to have a relationship with God, we have to understand that God is not holding out on us. Adam and Eve didn't get this though because they were deceived by the serpent into thinking that more knowledge will make them more like God, but the truth is that more knowledge won't save you but full surrender and repentance will. We have to learn from Adam and Eve's mistakes and realize that God is not trying to keep us from something but instead is is trying to free us from something. God loves you and is not waiting to see if you fail. He just wants a relationship with you.
Have you ever had a promise that God has given to you and you feel like nothing is happening? This happened to Sarah in her old age when she had received a promise from God that she would have a child even though she was past her child bearing age. Sarah instead of having patience for God to deliver on his promise, she took God's promise into her own hands and had her servant Hagar sleep with her husband Abraham. Sarah's mistake has lead to generations of conflict between God's chosen people and the Arab nations. We need to have patience and trust that God is not holding out on us, because a moment of patience can save us from a lifetime of regret.
God is a God of second chances. We need to stop letting bad choices define us. Even though Jonah had run away from God's calling and fled to Tarshish, God ended up rescuing him from the belly of a whale and still using him to help minister to the people of Nineveh. God did not give up on him. Don't let you past bad choices disqualify you for what God has for you.
Are you giving your best in life? God rewards those who give their best in obscurity. Do your best in the small things and God will reward you by giving you bigger things. Elisha started off staring at the behind of an ox, to becoming the successor to the great man of God Elijah and receiving a double portion of his blessing.
Have you ever had a God encounter where you don't understand him? Where you don't think God is doing is the right way. Mary would say, "Don't miss your moment with God." This is a bigger opportunity than you think. This is way better than you think. God's ways are not our way.
Trouble doesn't build character it reveals it. What if we started looking at our storms with God's perspective rather than our own.
If you can't find God, worship Him. He'll find you. God encounters will impact the direction of our lives. God wants to be encountered. God is not just a God to be understood. He wants to be experienced.
How can we have a better response to Pain? God never promised that pain wouldn't come. "In the world you are going to have trouble, but take heart I have overcome the world." John 16:33. His plan was never to rescue you from all your pain, but to enable you to stand strong in the middle of your pain.
Has your life felt like a wrestling match? You watch other people and it seems like everything comes to them with such ease. God can encounter your life in a manner that will settle all of the wrestling matches you are in.
When you don't see God's vision for your life, you can settle for an earthly counterfeit. And part of recognizing God's vision for your life is having relationships that will hold you accountable.
We prepare for exams, physical competitions, Parenthood etc... But we tend to lack urgency when it comes to our life after death. Do you feel ready? How are you preparing?
Our jaded perspective starts when we view religion as a way of benefiting our life rather submission to a diety. It's not a religion it's a relationship, being loved by God isn't has hard is christians make it sound.
We as christians need to layout the foundations of what winning means to us. We need to set goals for winning rather than avoiding losses.
The culture in the kingdom of God is one of thriving and God wants us to thrive. We don't have that mindset so we aren't prepared for what God has for us. God wants his children to win. We are more than conquerors!
We go through life hearing a lot of different voices but the ones we choose to listen to can dictate how we live our life. What voices are you letting speak into your life and is it from God?
You are a friend of God... God is more than a genie who grants your wishes. He longs to have a relationship with you. But any good relationship requires communication.
What do you look for in a relationship? Communication is key in any relationship but how do you communicate with your creator? A common misconception is that our distance from God or access to him is what keeps us from experiencing him. What if he was actually closer than you think
Every year Bethel's Rock introduces a word for the year. This year it is "Fusion". The definition of Fusion is a merging of diverse, distinct, or separate elements into a unified whole. This past year our Country and the body of Christ has been extremely divided on the issue of Race relations, Covid, and President elects etc... Our prayer is to come back into fusion with each other and with the Spirit of our God.
