🎯 'I'm going to wake up today and practice righteousness' - This powerful reminder shows us that living for God requires daily, intentional effort. It's not a one-time thing you can post about and forget! 💯 #DailyDiscipleship #ChristianMotivation #FaithInAction

Jesus said looking with lust is the same as adultery. He called for marriage to be divorce-proof through God at the center. He demanded our words be so trustworthy that oaths become unnecessary. Why did Jesus make righteousness seem so much harder?

Because He's not interested in external compliance - He wants complete heart transformation. Are you settling for technical righteousness or pursuing genuine holiness?

Ever feel like a random part that doesn't quite fit anywhere in God's plan? You're not a manufacturing error - you're salt and light, specifically designed to make a difference right where you are. What would change if you stopped hiding your light and started seasoning the world around you with God's love?

A recliner is a great parallel for our Spiritual lives. It’s comfortable, easy, and so addictive. We can get lazy…that’s why it’s called a Lay-Z-Boy! Just as we love the physical comfort of a chair, we also love spiritual comfort: the predictable rhythm, a sense of safety, and a place where nothing is demanded of us. This instinct for spiritual ease is dangerously misaligned with true discipleship. Our core truth is blunt: “If you’re comfortable following Jesus, you’re doing it wrong. You should be uncomfortable.” The presence of sin within every person means that God is still at work in believers’ lives, wanting to change them from the inside out. As long as a person is alive, God intends ongoing transformation, not static comfort. To simply settle into a “spiritual lazy boy” and resist change means we’re doing it wrong. Listen as we unpack this core truth to discover the great plans God has for us as we become more like Jesus.

"Why are Small Groups important?"

We get this question often -- the answer, you need to know more about Christ, and you need to see Christ.

When we gather with friends or family, it's a good thing -- but our purpose is different than gathering for a small group. Our central focus is on Jesus.

You can join a small group today! Go check out odessabible.org/smallgroups to get all the info. What do you do after that? Show up. It's simple!

When we let The Four Horseman (Criticism, Contempt, Defensiveness, Stonewalling) enter our marriage, we risk turning from one another in marriage, rather than turning TO one another. Pastor Bob shares a great message of how we should Turn To One Another.
