If posting on social media for your business is feeling a lot like summer school for you right now, then this episode is for you. So many entrepreneurs often perceive social media to be a daunting chore rather than an enjoyable aspect of their business.

But imagine this: what if I shared a method where you could effortlessly share non-business content on your social media this summer, all while effectively nurturing your audience AND enhancing your existing strategy? Believe it or not, it's entirely possible.

Today, I'll be exploring the psychology behind why people feel a stronger connection with your brand when you share non-business content alongside your regular content (and on the flip side, how solely posting business-related content and maintaining an overly polished image can turn them off). Keep listening to learn how you can show up on social media this summer in a way that's FUN for you and your audience this summer, and that is still strategically aligned with your brand and the audience you're trying to target.

Today we're doing something a little bit different... I'm taking you behind the scenes on a Camp Coaching Call inside my signature program the Video Content Camp and giving you a taste of what it's like to be coached by me. At the time this episode is published, doors are now open for our Summer 2023 enrollment in the Video Content Camp! This program was created for entrepreneurs and creators that want to create strategic video content without having to rely on the latest trends or gimmicky hacks.

Camp Coaching Calls are something I host inside the Video Content Camp on a monthly basis. With these coaching calls, we cover everything from strategy, mindset, your content, and more. They are also one of the favorite elements of the program for both the campers and myself! Additionally, when you join the Video Content Camp, you also gain access to past replays, which are equally valuable.

In today's call, we covered a broad range of topics from planning launch content (and why your content plan should differ between launch and nurture mode), to learning why "boring" stories sell, and discussing the two different types of stock content you need to be creating and incorporating into your video strategy if you aren't already.

If you don’t know what the 30 Days Reels Challenge is, it started as an experiment with a friend to see what it would look like if we shared 30 prompts over 30 days (and posted Reels for them). We brought 2,000 entrepreneurs along for what turned out to be quite a wild ride. We all collectively learned and grew so much.

From content creation and scheduling to insights and using Reels to sell your service or product, listen in as I share what I’ve learned, along with some fun guests, this past year about Reels.

This episode is sponsored by the newly revamped Reels Challenge 2.0 Ebook. This self-paced Ebook gives you access to 60 detailed prompts from the original challenge, so you know exactly what to say on Instagram Reels.

And in honor of its anniversary, you’ll get an additional 40 new prompts to celebrate. You’ll find fun resources like a planning template, a Reels checklist training, and an editing tutorial from launching to product businesses to everything in between.

If you’re listening the week it goes live, head over to Instagram where we’re celebrating and get the new ebook as part of a fantastic birthday bundle with access to 30 additional courses and resources.

In today’s episode I’m sharing what is working on Instagram right now and where to really focus the content you’re creating for your brand. A lot of what I talk about is from the announcements and key takeaways that were shared at Creator Week, which was hosted in June to share insights and tips around some of the most frequently asked questions. I also share some quick tips around the things that have been performing really well on Instagram and where you might want to focus your energy!

In this episode I give the run down for the algorithms on each of the 5 services of Instagram, the three main categories of the algorithms, how you can earn money by going Live, the best way to post on the Feed, and the most effective use of music in your Reels. You’re definitely going to want to take notes on this one!

Sonia Elyss is a Business Marketing Strategist and founder of Round Twelve.

Callie Rojewski is a customer marketing expert. She helps startups attract and retain customers by creating hype, building community and activating raving fans. Throughout her career, she's helped brands such as Ben and Jerry's, Patagonia, and Athleta as well as startups in various industries incorporate customer insights into their growth strategies.

Maritza Tobon is founder of Unruly Media Group, a marketing agency & education platform for eCommerce & membership brands.

Today we're talking all about Clubhouse. Clubhouse is the new audio-only social media platform that has taken the world by storm in the last couple months. But is it for you and your business? In this episode I give you a quick intro to Clubhouse and a few of my thoughts. Then we’re diving into the pros and cons of Clubhouse as well as some tips for using the app with some of my friends; Sonia, Callie, and Maritza; who have been using and researching Clubhouse. They share their thoughts about what’s great, what’s not so great and their opinion on the opportunity with Clubhouse. I wanted you to be able to leave this episode with all the insights in order to walk away confident in whether or not to choose Clubhouse for your brand and business.

*While we briefly touched on this in the episode, I think it's very important to consider how you're creating an accessible space for your audience, including those who may be hearing impaired or deaf, along with creating safe spaces for POC and LGTQB from hate speech. I've been listening and learning about how this is taking shape on Clubhouse, and if the platform will address this as it continue to grow since it's still in such early stages. My game plan of action is using the strategies mentioned in this episode and focusing most of my energy on my primary platform of Instagram for creating content for everyone to consume. If they don't make the changes needed, I'll be dipping out. If they do, I'll be happy to promote it and continue to share insights with you.

Tiffany Ellis is the Creator of Pods & PR and Owner of Perennial Resolutions. She’s been a leader for over a decade for a number of Fortune 500 organizations before stepping out to build the platform known as Pods & PR. She is skilled at career mapping, mentorship, development planning, interviewing, teaching, training, speaking and all things leadership and development. She is also a natural motivator of people and incredibly passionate about leading people to connect with their life's purpose.

Tiffany and I start today’s conversation by talking about how and why she founded Pods and PR, which is like a book club for podcasts! Then we take some time to discuss mental health. July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health conditions do not discriminate, but background and identity can make access to mental health treatment much more difficult. I’m honored to have Tiffany on to talk about why minority mental health is so important, the struggles we face, and how we can create change.
