In school we grow intellectually. We learn to regurgitate learning facts and figures while our emotions generally go unaddressed only to guide and govern our lives for good or bad. Parts of us get stuck in the past and run amuck. These emotions can ruin relationships and even our lives if we don't deal with them.

Why do you think there are so many adult babies running around destroying the world?

But what if we learned Emotional Intelligence to coincide with intellect? Then we would have adults in their proper chronological age and not stuck in childhood trauma into their forties, fifties and beyond.

Built From The Quiet: Secrets From A Basque Sheepherder That Will Transform Your Business And Life.

This is a fantastic book that follows her father's journey escaping the dictator Franco out of the Basque Region of Spain and through the Pyrenees Mountains when he was just a teen.

It is about legacy and coming to this country to become a sheepherder and to make a name for himself.

It's about modern day business and how to operate with legacy passed down and intention in mind, not just the bottom line or how to make a buck but how to make a living.

The prose are beautifully crafted, the insights are poignant for business leaders, and the hard won wisdom is universal.

This is a very impressive business book while also being an amazing book on life.

Anamarie Lopategui didn’t learn business from textbooks. She learned it by watching her father lead with grit, consistency, and care.

Years later, Anamarie built what many would call a successful, thriving business in one of the toughest industries.

From the outside, she looked like she had made it. Yet beneath the polished exterior there was disconnection and a single question from her father that unraveled it all: “But are you happy?”

Built From the Quiet is part memoir, part business guide, and part permission slip to reimagine what success really means.

I've been going through a lot these days. The old beliefs are crashing down.

As babies we're 100% vulnerable and without boundaries. We learn through interacting with our caregivers. We respond to input and reactions. We then form a sense of self based upon this. Beliefs and emotional scaffolding begin to from. Almost on autopilot we live and trust this model into our 20's, 30's, 40's, and we simply accept this as gospel. The filters and lens we see life through becomes our identity. That is until we start introspecting and looking back and asking why we act in a certain way or why shame wells up with triggers.

Well, it's the scaffolding. The lens. Emotional beliefs hold up this framework. But that scaffolding and belief system is that of the child's and is based upon core emotions, coping mechanisms, survival. It is not capable of upholding an adults life with jobs, relationships, and responsibilities.

As more pressure is put upon it, It starts to rust and eventually comes crashing down. And with it jobs, relationships, lives.

But the who you've been waiting for might just be on the other side of this and you will no longer be trapped by this outdated identity and belief system, the paradigm of roles you've been living within.

Buying a Porsche just might be easier...

I'm kidding of course. The only way to the other side is through...

As Long As Rivers Run is a tale of lore, wisdom, and wonder; a story of hardship and healing in a rugged wilderness full of challenges and rewards. Protagonist Tom Dunagan was thrown into the role of a surgeon during the Civil War under conditions that yielded more sadness than success. The weight of the war is a cloak he struggles to shed. After the war, he and his 13 year-old daughter, Brooke, cross the Continental Divide and stumble upon a Ute father and son in their own tragic situation. Tom’s heroic effort to save the Ute man’s life after an intense encounter with a grizzly bear gives passage for Tom and his daughter to enter the mystic world of an Ute family band. They learn that the circle of the seasons is driven by the circle of water that drives the circle of life—a profound truth in a harsh land where water is not merely a resource, but the single, sacred thread that binds existence. The novel reiterates a lesson in survival that rings true to this day: the preciousness of water must never be forgotten.

Taking place in a time when great riches for our Native Americans was measured in the number and quality of their horse herd, a time of strike-it-rich dreams in a rock's golden vein. While the story touches on greed, jealousy and violence common of that time, we also find moments of kindness, understanding and love, all cradled in the wilderness of the Rocky Mountains.

About the author, Larry Ray Rather:

Larry Ray Rather is a rancher by day, and a weaver of words by night. A true 'Buddhist Cowboy,' Rather's deep connection to the land and the wisdom gleaned from a life spent outdoors resonate with his spiritual principles. Rather finds peace in the saddle and inspiration in the quiet contemplation of the mountains. His blend of Western heritage with the Eastern philosophies of Buddhism creates a unique perspective, one that emphasizes mindful observation, respect for all living things, and a deep appreciation for the present moment.

A lifelong learner, Rather's curiosity extends beyond the written word. He is an avid student of history, archaeology, and the natural sciences, constantly seeking to understand the intricate web of life that surrounds us. Whether he's exploring the ancient ruins of the American West or simply observing the intricate dance of a hawk in the sky, Larry finds inspiration in every corner of the world.

When he is not writing, he is often found with his horses and mules. Whether preparing for a day trip in the aspen-covered forests, or a weeks-long trip through rugged mountain terrain, you can expect him to return with documentation of arrowheads, wolf tracks, and things of that sort.

ICE has been rounding people up without due process. Immigrants, typically of Hispanic descent, both legal and illegal, have been accused of the most heinous crimes. And yet, research shows they are one of the groups with the lowest violent crimes.

So what's really going on?

We're also told they don't pay their taxes. And yet, the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policies states that illegal immigrants paid almost 100 billion dollars last year.

Your beliefs might get challenged during this episode.

Donald Trump calls himself a patriot — but his actions prove otherwise. From undermining elections and inciting January 6th, to cozying up to Putin, betraying Ukraine, and grifting the American people, Trump has shown us what we are not. This episode lays out his corruption, cruelty, and chaos — and contrasts it with what true American leadership should look like: truth, service, and defending democracy and ideals. Trump isn’t a patriot. He is the Un-American President.

Plastics. Plastics. Plastics.

They are everywhere. We ingest them daily in our drinks and food.

In this conversation Anne-Marie Bonneau and I discuss the pervasive issue of plastic pollution, its impact on the environment, and the importance of consumer awareness and legislative changes. We explore the challenges of recycling, the need for sustainable packaging, and the role of education in fostering a more responsible society.

There is necessity for both individual and corporate responsibility in addressing plastic waste and the potential for innovation in sustainable practices. We discuss the role of corporations in perpetuating plastic use and the greenwashing tactics employed to shift blame onto consumers.

Anne-Marie shares her personal journey of reducing plastic in her life, emphasizing the benefits of whole foods and sustainable practices. The discussion also covers practical tips for minimizing plastic waste, the importance of natural alternatives, and the systemic issues surrounding plastic production. Ultimately, the conversation highlights the need for collective action and awareness in addressing environmental challenges.

Ralph Pezzullo was born in New York City. When he was five years old his father joined the Foreign Service of the State Department. His job took them to Mexico, South Vietnam, Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala, Uruguay and Nicaragua. They lived in Saigon during the Tonkin Gulf Incident, the overthrow of Diem, a number of other coup d'etats and almost daily Vietcong terrorist attacks against Americans. After that, they survived three years gasping for air at 13,000 feet in La Paz, Bolivia during the time that Che Guevarra was trying to build a guerrilla base in that country. By 1980 his father was the US Ambassador to Nicaragua, and Ralph was there witnessing the first days of the Sandinista Revolution.

These experiences molded him. He saw how political instability could throw peoples’ lives into chaos and test their character. In his teenage years he became a sounding board for his father’s opinions on how to best formulate and carry out US foreign policy. Many of his friends were other diplomats, CIA agents, and military attaches. Through observing them, Ralph developed an appreciation of the unique kinds of challenges US representatives faced in nations where our interests and cultural perspective often sharply differed from theirs.

In 2004, shortly after moving his family to Los Angeles, he received an email from a gentleman who said he was a clandestine US intelligence operative and wanted to collaborate with him. The book they wrote together about the CIA-led operation to overthrow the Taliban in late 2001, called Jawbreaker, was published in 2005 and appeared on numerous bestseller lists.

Following Jawbreaker, he started to receive calls and emails from other former government officials – DEA and FBI agents, police detectives, Special Forces soldiers, and Navy SEALs – who had interesting stories to tell. He helped turn some of them into bestselling books, including Most Evil and Inside SEAL Team Six.

All of these courageous individuals had experienced conflict and human suffering first hand, and had their core beliefs tested. Their views often clashed with policy makers, who saw the same conflicts through the lens of bureaucratic politics. Many of his co-authors had experienced the same phenomena – how time after time our political and culture myopia, or inability to fully grasp the importance of local history, language, and culture, had led to bad decision-making and caused us to be ineffective.

His new book is called Stolen Elections: The Plot to Destroy Democracy

Based on a four-year investigation into election fraud by two top government whistleblowers, including CIA hero Gary Berntsen.

Their conclusion: Enemies of the United States including Venezuela, Cuba, China and Serbia have been determining the results of elections in the U.S. since 2006 through the use of electronic systems that they have developed. Using these systems, they now manipulate the results of elections in 72 countries around the world.

We discuss Ralph's unique upbringing in various war-torn countries, which shaped his worldview and understanding of U.S. foreign policy. The conversation delves into the importance of cultural understanding in international relations, the hasty withdrawal from Afghanistan, and the implications of the military-industrial complex.

He is also the host of the popular podcast Heroes Behind Headlines.

Hey folks, I haven't done a solocast in quite a while. You should expect more of these in the future. Short nuggets on subjects that need addressing.

Here goes:

We were born into humanity and then are indoctrinated into society. It's often like the square peg in the round hole. Society was born out of humanity to navigate life: laws, government, religions, institutions, the external of goods and services. What happens is often the homogenization of the individual.

Whereas humanity is in the honoring of the individual and the collective to bring their gifts forward. Humanity is that broader self. Humanity is from nature or God or whatever you want to call it. So it doesn't adhere to the same rules. Humanity seeks meaning and connection. It's about love and fulfillment, not tearing others down or labeling.

Humanity is the broader self, the broader perspective

Is there another way to live other than the rat race? Are you feeling stuck and complacent? Frustrated?

Here's a fun episode on freedom and being on the road. A rolling stone gathers no moss.

Ever want to travel and see the world? Yuri has lived in over 20 countries. It all started on something called the nomad cruise, where other people were doing something similar.

People who owned their time and owned their calendar, and were not location dependent.

Yuri works remotely and often lives a higher quality of life. She makes the same money she would make in the States where she might only be getting by. Yet in some places the cost is 10x less.

By living this way, one has the choice to reduce their workload and enjoy more activity, which equals more joy and fun, less stress. Not just living for the hustle and bustle.

There are so many ways to live. Ours is not the only way. Far from it.

How about:

Late afternoon siestas in Spain where everything closes.

Honking mopeds in Viet Nam just to say hello.

In Argentina, fourth meals at midnight.

Two hour lunches in Italy.

For Yuri, joy is found in the celebration of dance and music, especially Bachatta dance with a partner, is everywhere in Argentina, in the streets, lessons in the park. People old and young.

For her, dancing is getting into the body with movement and flow. It is an unspoken language.

Just surviving and want to travel? Get away from burnout, worries, and have more bandwidth for the life you want to live on Freedom Road.

It's the economy stupid. Well, it's a lot more than that. Is the economy rigged? We often make political decisions based upon economic situations. And what a perfect time for this episode to air as our economy is rapidly changing under Trump's new tariffs and the rollbacks of many beloved and necessary programs.

Please note, this interview took place beforehand, so we don't directly discuss that.

The government licenses corporations and sets the rules. Often the way the rich and powerful want the rules set. I call it corporate and political nepotism.

Can we break the cycle? Will there be another recession? Will the economy crash?

Inequality, subsides, corporate domination, taxation, it's a somber discussion about something that affects us all.

How come corporate leaders complain about minimum wage and yet never complain about the maximum pay of CEO's?

Economist Kris Feder got her Ph.D. from Temple University and taught economics at Bard College for over thirty years.

She is a former board member of the Robert Schalkenbach Foundation and of the American Journal of Economics and Sociology.

She contributed to two books: "Economics from the Ground Up: Public Revenue and the Structure of Production" and "Rent Unmasked: How to Save the Global Economy and Build a Sustainable Future."

New Year's resolution? Diet? Eat better for a few weeks, then go back to old habits? Well, maybe they aren't resolutions at all but wishful thinking.

Resolution means to be resolved, a firm decision to do something or not. But what if deeper beliefs run contrary to that "resolution" preventing you from getting that better body or better life and not eating emotionally.

Why keep going through that awful cycle of shame and diet, rinse and repeat?

Something deeper is going on.

A perfect podcast to start off the new year.

Today I speak with author Marla Mervis-Hartmann who wrote the best-seller BE-Friend Yourself: Finding Freedom with Food and Peace with Your Body

She is also the Tedx speaker of The Secret Ingredient to Feeling Good in your Body.

We dig into the deeper associations we have with food. When an emotion feels too big, we binge, and for that moment the emotion is met, but no healing has taken place. It can be a black hole of trying to fill this empty feeling. It becomes a pattern, a cycle.

We socialize and celebrate with food, we console loss with food, and we eat food on the couch when we're run down.

But what if we've moved on and don't require food for that? What if you heal those stressors within, healing the wound, healing that emotion that correlates to the eating?

What if a resolution truly meant just that, to treat your body and self with healthy food and self-regulation? Instead, creating a day of eating well to succeed, in your body and in your life.

What if we were free from those crutches and food could be your friend?

This is a deeper conversation about food and emotions. Take a listen and share it with someone who might be struggling with food, feeling alone in this fight.

Have people made you not believe in your dreams? Have they made you feel small and disempowered? Your dreams are not farfetched or pie in the sky, but the very reason you are here.

My guest today is Dr. Lynn Carey. Take a listen to this poignant show during these troubling and confusing times.

Dr. Lynn Carey earned a doctorate in chiropractic and a bachelor's degree in nutrition from Life University. She has gone on chiropractic mission trips to Brazil and India where she discovered that there is only One-verse in this Universe and that is Love. During her years in private practice, she also realized that to be healthy, one needs to examine every area of their life. She loves to empower individuals to create their desired life of health, wealth, and self-expression.

She's gathered a lot of insight learning to heal herself after suffering with sickness and pain for many years. Her journey began way before when she had two spinal surgeries for scoliosis in high school. Afterwards, she was constantly sick.

Chiropractic was the first step in her healing journey and truly changed her life. In her 18 years practicing as a chiropractor, she saw that chronic stress was the main issue for most people not healing. Chronic stress came from not enough time, not enough money, and not having passion or purpose in life. She knows that creating a desired lifestyle is the key to ultimate well-being.

Get her book or sign up for her emails with information on her Masterclass, Healthy Habits Coaching and Business Mentorship programs.

This was such a great conversation. In today's show I speak with Kara Goodwin, the host of the Meditation Conversation Podcast.

Mediation brings us back to the moment and can help transform our brain chemistry with certain techniques' and being present can help calm many charges issues.

Kara Goodwin is a meditation and spiritual transformation coach, host of The Meditation Conversation podcast, energy healer, and beekeeper. She was drawn to meditation after a tragic year which brought many losses in quick succession. It felt as though her whole reality shifted, and she dedicated herself to learning the art of meditation. Through her deepening practice of meditation she has opened herself up to a strong connection with Source. In the years since she has been meditating and guiding others on their journeys, she has uncovered latent energy healing capabilities and experiences frequent unexplainable phenomena (visions, journeys into multidimensional realms, inner knowings verified in the external environment, insights). She has had several powerful transcendental experiences where she has experienced her consciousness "outside of her body," as something much bigger than her "little self," and also had transcendental experiences where she viscerally experienced her physical body as a cosmic entity - feeling/seeing her chakras and their corresponding elemental connections, feeling the different parts of her brain and how each part relates to frequency, how consciousness is nonlocal and memories/experiences are stored in the body. These have been spellbinding revelations to experience, which have completely shifted how she sees the life experience and the power and potential of each life here. Most importantly, although these experiences are unique in their way, they are also universal in that they have shown the framework that we are all living in in our human experiences

Education needs to radically change or we are failing ourselves and our futures.

It should inform and develop the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. So when we are finished, we are ready for adulthood. It should provide tools on how to be an adult and navigate the world. If not, what is the point of education? To only feed the intellect while remaining undeveloped in every other way?

Just look at the world with its argument and blame. Is this an emotionally developed world or one stuck in victimhood?

Take a listen. Together we change the world to the one that’s in our hearts.

Is due out 10/24. Pre-sale soon...

In the title story, I don't think I knew how closely I was writing about my own struggles as a teen. What would have happened if someone had paid more attention or was a guiding light in my life? The trajectory of my life would have been very different. My thoughts and choices would have been different. And so would have the outcomes. I'm guessing it is the same for you.

I also didn't realize the three pieces in the collection were about dreams: dreams that get stuck, dreams that fail, dreams that keep us up at night, and dreams we honor and fulfill.

Stay tuned. This is my best book yet.

Your life is a story, and you are the main character. Every choice you make in your life is intended to move you closer to your ultimate goal: to get everything you’ve ever wanted. The reason you want everything you’ve ever wanted is that you believe when you get everything you’ve ever wanted, you’ll live happily ever after.

This doesn’t mean what you think it means.

Happily ever after is not the end of the story of your life. Happily ever after means you have a foundation of happiness. Happily ever after isn’t a happy ending. Happily ever after is a happy beginning. The Story of Your Life is just getting started.

To achieve a goal, you need to know three things. You need to know what it is, you need to know where it is, and you need to know how to get there.

The Human Game will give you better answers to all three of these questions. You will know what happiness is and what’s required to experience it. You will know where happiness is. And you will understand your current approach to happiness—and what you can do to improve it.

With the Human Game, you can build a Happiness GPS.

Learn more (and experience this for yourself) at PlayTheHumanGame.com.

Kevin B. Burk has been counseling and coaching since 1998, when he came upon the idea for the Human Game.

Great conversation today with Zehra Mahoon,

She says, " Today, I am at a place where I feel secure. I feel confident about my future. I feel that I am in control of my life. I feel happy and satisfied with my accomplishments.
But it wasn't always like that. My life was a mess. I had no money, my husband had cheated on me and left the country, I had no work and was alone in a new country with two little children. That's when I found the Law of Attraction.

The thing is, my story is not like the other stories of immediate success with manifesting that you hear about. I found Law of Attraction and made a a big mess that was my life, a bigger mess. Yes! I used the tools completely wrong.

You see, I didn't understand nor did I accept the fundamental principles that create success. That was more than 15 years ago.

Since then, I have learned that Law of Attraction is not a tool - it is a way of looking at life; it is a lifestyle. I live it and practice it everyday.

Now it is my mission to make it easy for others to understand and apply the Law of Attraction. I want to cut out the crap and the fluffy sensational headlines and give you the essence of the principles."

Zehra Mahoon’s mission is to guide others to stop making the mistakes that are preventing them from their success and ultimate joy by teaching them the power of heart and mind alignment based on the Law of Attraction. She is the author of fifteen books on these subjects and the creator of the Unlimited 40 day law of attraction workbook and support group. After committing to completely transforming her self-worth in 2006, she went from being massively in debt to owning multiple properties and creating a thriving business, as well as healing her relationships. She shares her personal journey to help people understand that power of reclaiming their self-worth.

We often hold onto things that do not serve us. We spend time in the arena of bad memories and feelings that often keep us stuck in the very same event day after day, month after month, year after year. But life is short and fleeting. Don't hold onto regrets or fear. For life can change in the blink of an eye.

A friend's wife had a stroke. She is in her early fifties and was in good health.

This is not the podcast I expected to release today. I recorded it this morning after hearing the news.

This is one of the most important topics to changing your life: Accountability

Feeling lost and having a lack of purpose? Feeling overwhelmed or on a hamster wheel, stressed and exhausted? Knowing what you want to do, but not taking action?

Unhappy with your relationships, physical body/health, finances, and work?

We all must get clear on what’s important, by creating goals/outcomes and an action plan.

Master time management by creating a work/life balance with self-care.
Work through mindset challenges that hold you back.
Create habits that become second nature, even where you have failed before.

This is all accountability.

My guest today is Julie Moses who has been doing Vision work for 40 years and Coaching for the last several.

She is an excellent coach who has helped me get clear on my goals and how to implement them by changing habits and creating new ones.

We hear about ownership, but what about honorship? Owning what we honor becomes our lives and how we live. Honor pain and doubt, you get more of the same. Honor love, more love finds you.

We often hear about following one's dreams. That can often be found in some external pursuit. Yet all dreams start with honoring oneself. Honoring oneself in the face of opposition or that negative chattering voice. Beneath opposition and fear exists truth. So all of the doubts become quieter, the confusions subside, because the answers remain the same. It comes back to love and your purpose on this earth. The calling and listening, acting upon, is honorship. This is me. Who are you?

It is very hard to honor oneself when we are denying ourselves. And therefore the dream will remain only that.

Enjoy this important solocast.

The tall poppy syndrome is a human condition that has been present in every society since the beginning of time. It explains why we seek fairness and justify our actions by cutting others down.

Using both recent examples and case studies throughout history Dr. Doug Garland reveals the emotional damage and challenges that we, as well as all Tall Poppies, experience. It helps bring a new level of understanding to the rise in 'cancel culture' and cultural movements such as Black Lives Matter, #MeToo, and even Anti-Vaxers! With over 600 citations, The Tall Poppy Syndrome is the most comprehensive book on the subject.

Why do some find joy in seeing the fall of others who have it better than us? Or who fall down stairs or get hit in the groin?

Ancient Greece called it cutting the tall wheat.

Rome called it cutting the Tall Poppy as does modern day Australia.

Holland's expression is the tallest tree catches all the wind.

Have you ever suffered from someone cutting you down when you stood tall?

Have you ever cut anyone down yourself who had moved forward?

Too big for your britches?

I'm solo-casting today on this super important topic.

At a young age we are taught to want what everyone else wants. This is where comparison begins of what they have compared to what we don't. We are taught to want materials and external things and not what are souls need.

There's always someone who will have what you want: looks, money, cars, hair, physique. This makes us feel small and powerless. This is us looking out the window.

No one taught us to look in the mirror and at our souls. No one has what our souls have. This is why we need to look in the mirror. What we find there is what needs to be honored.

We are not supposed to move forward only if people approve of us. We move forward honoring what's within us and approving of ourselves.

Are you looking in the mirror? Are you looking into your soul and really being honest with yourself? Did you do the most you could today to move yourself toward your dreams?

Take a listen.

*I would first like to say how grateful I am to Tim Heale. His best friend died unexpectedly the day before and yet, although I offered to reschedule, he still wanted to do the show. Thank you, Tim.

Tim Heale has done it all.

Retired Battalion Chief David Hollenbach is the author of “Fireproof: Your Grand Strategy for Transforming Failure into Fuel for Your Future.” He is an international best-selling author, motivational speaker, coach, and mentor. He owns and operates David Hollenbach Consulting, LLC, and hosts the popular podcast “From Embers to Excellence.”

During his 23-year career in the fire service, he served as a
•Firefighter
•Apparatus Driver/Pump-Operator/Engineer
•Company Officer/Lieutenant
•Battalion Chief in Operations
•Chief of Special Operations
•Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) peer counselor
•Public Safety Rescue Diver
•Coordinator and developer of his department’s first leadership development program

He is a veteran of the United States Navy with a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Barry University. A major focus of research was how strong, positive leadership can influence the culture of a large organization.

While studying at Barry University he published "The Firefighter's Creed" and “Women in the Fire Service: A Diverse Culture Leads to a Successful Culture,” an article highlighting the importance of gender diversity within the fire service..

He has spent years as an instructor, coach and mentor helping others define and realize success.

Q. What inspired you to write “Fireproof: Your Grand Strategy for Transforming Failure into Fuel for Your Future?”
A. The death of my brother inspired me to write the book. My leadership failures, both personal and professional, inspired me to finish it.

Q. What do you hope is the biggest takeaway from the book?
A. That an individual’s core essence determines the kind of leader they will be. Once they discover the truth inside of themselves—flaws and all—readers can challenge their limitations and let go of self-defeating behaviors. Within FIREPROOF, the question, “How can I create a Grand Strategy for my life?” is answered and leads the reader to develop their own unique Grand Strategy, to create a life that helps others and leaves a stellar legacy.

Personal development topics like self-leadership, self-awareness, communication, healthy relationships and self-care run throughout FIREPROOF, as I emphasize the importance of uncovering one’s core values and finding their big WHY. I provide an analysis tool for challenging situations to help the reader discern which parts they can control, what they can influence, and which things they can neither control or influence. I also provide tools for releasing stress and working through feelings of overwhelm, as well as outline critical daily habits and mindset matters that are essential for success.

Q. What makes you an expert in this field/a unique voice to speak on this topic?
A. I based the book on my personal experience and research. I spent 23 years in the fire service. I moved up through the ranks, retiring as a battalion chief responsible for 6 fire stations. I have effectively led people from all backgrounds in high stress environments. I developed a leadership training program for my fire department and taught leadership for 10 of the 23 years I served. I suffer from PTSD and as part of my healing process I research and study philosophy.

In FIREPROOF: Your Grand Strategy for Transforming Failure into Fuel for Your Future, Mr. Hollenbach takes the idea behind Yale University’s Grand Strategy Program designed for political leaders and heads of large corporations and applies those principles to the individual. His book answers the question: How can I create a Grand Strategy for my life? He then leads the reader through steps to develop their own unique Grand Strategy to create a stellar legacy.

We are witnessing a blast of the technological and societal changes that are accelerating us into a future our imaginations cannot grasp. For 7,000 generations, since anatomically “modern” humans emerged 200,000 years ago, children could look to their parents and grandparents for life lessons in how to confront the chaos. No more. Their yesterday experiences will be of little, if any, help to today’s children in surviving tomorrow’s chaos. Our children have no maps, no talismans, to guide them. Which leaves them with only their instincts to confront the chaos. Those instincts were crafted to enable us to survive in a world that we left millennia ago. That long forgotten world hardwired us to overreact violently when we are frightened. Chaos is frightening. And chaos is about to engulf us. Do we have the innate capacity to survive what is about to happen to us? Hos book The Fourth Age explores that question.

Instinctively, we fear the unknown—chaos—and are hardwired to overreact violently when we are frightened. And chaos is about to engulf us. Welcome to our Fourth Age.

Terry Thiele has been a Cold Warrior intelligence officer and a corporate lawyer. He now consults and teaches strategic planning. His new book is the culmination of forty years helping government officials, corporate officers, and graduate students think about the future. Terry received his B.A. magna cum laude from Princeton, and his J.D. from NYU; he is a graduate of the National War College. Carol and he lives near Wilmington, N.C.

What is our "Fourth Age"?

For millennia, we hunted. After the ice, we farmed. For the last ten generations, we built. Today we are teetering on the brink of societal and technological changes unlike anything ever before experienced. The degree and the rate of change are both accelerating us at light speed into a future our imaginations cannot grasp.

To fall or be brought down by temptation is not Christian, but human. We all fall at one time or another. Brian Kreeger was no different. But he felt he had failed God as well as his wife...

This is one not to miss as we dive deep into what happened and how he and his marriage recovered.

Brian Kreeger is an author, speaker, and nonprofit consultant. In 2012, he founded a faith-based free health clinic that served as a vehicle to share Christ's love through primary healthcare in an urban, poverty-stricken setting. After growing the organization significantly in four years, Brian experienced his own leadership fall due to the pressures of his work and his own human weakness.

Author of "The Courageous Ask: A Proactive Approach to Prevent the Fall of Christian Nonprofit Leaders." He has served on numerous nonprofit boards and have been in numerous leadership positions. He spent 28 years managing grocery stores.

After about 20 years he was called to open a Faith-Based Free Health Clinic in his city. After 4 years of successful operation, he started to struggle with leadership, loss of true identity and loneliness/isolation. He fell during that period out of his own human weakness.

Recognized through the questioning of a board member that besides human weakness, there are inherent parts of leadership that tempt us toward stumbling blocks that many succumb to. His book recognizes that those surrounding a leader, can see a fall coming.

His book and message empowers leaders, and those around them, to do something when they see it and encourages a proactive approach to prevent it.

He holds nonprofit leadership and board consulting certificates from Duke University and Boardsource and is working with the Christian Leadership Alliance.

When Ann was 19, she woke one morning to find her mother dead face down in their bathroom. Twenty years later the tears from that trauma were still just under the surface.
It took one 15 minute session with a strange technique to remove the charge from that event and be able to tell the story with no emotion. That one session set her on a journey to not only release the trauma from past memories, but to get beyond that, into the subconscious mind to release tension stored deep in her body, simply using the power of awareness.

She has found that seeking truth and accepting feelings, is the key to inner peace.

Once we change our inside, our outside changes.

Ann developed the ability to see inside her body and release physical tension stored in her connective tissue, using solely the focus of her mind. She has x-rays to show physical changes resulting from this inner work - including changing the alignment of her eye sockets, the straightening of her neck, the centering of her lower jaw, and the growth of her tooth roots. She has also grown 1/2 an inch at the age of 55.

Ann wants us all to know that we have this incredible power within us, it just takes going further with practices that you may already be doing.

Ann has a YouTube channel where she shares her journey, and explains the connection between the physical and the spiritual. Her book, A Pathway to Insight, details her journey and breaks down the steps she took to attain what she calls Insight, or the ability to see within the body.

For years her mother had lost herself in a world of creation, never letting anyone read what she'd written. Sadly, in December of 2012, after years of recurrences, setbacks, surgeries, and rounds of chemotherapy, she passed away at the age of 63 . Bird of Paradise was left unfinished.

Michael Magrutsche  is a creativity/art researcher that looks for art/creativity's true values outside of any system.  He believes art and creativity raise the awareness of our limitless human potential instead of instilling limitations with man-made systems.

He believes humans need something very different right now because we are in a consciousness-crisis. There is nothing more to do but to become conscious- to become the best YOU and therefore become limitlessness.

Understand how to use man-made systems adequately for WE are the priority. Humans relinquish their potential to man-made systems like technology, economy, religion, etc.

Why do we feel incompetent to talk about art? Because art becomes trapped by the system.

Michaell is an Austrian-Californian multimedia Artist, educator, author of 5 art-related books, podcaster, coach, creative advisor and former Newport Beach CA arts commissioner.

As a nationally published teenage author, Sarah will inspire and entertain people to follow their own dreams and to live their own life no matter their circumstances or obstacles in their way.  Her dogged determination helped her get this book published and even went to farmers markets to sell it.

Sarah lives in Lehi, Utah and is a die hard fantasy nerd that can’t stop talking about dragons and anime. She's trying to get through her senior year of high school by creating her own worlds and characters, and has written six novels. Her latest is YA Fantasy Romance Novel "Stone Cold" containing 308 pages of clean reading published through Morgan James in New York. She makes friends, but only with people who can stand her habit of constantly talking during movies to critique the plot, her memorization of the How to Train your Dragon wikipedia page, and a monologue explaining why Doctor Strange is obviously the best avenger.

We create hate. We create separation. Is it skin color we fear? Eye color? The country your from? No, it's the idea that someone is going to take something away from us. It's the belief that we will be made to feel small(or smaller). So we hate what's different from us. It's what we hold onto and pass down. It's what we fear within us. It's our own belittling voice.

What if love were passed down? Empathy? Kindness?

"Long after humanity reached the stars, and recreated earth in all its vices, one (totally unhinged) man finds himself lost not only in a robotic body, but in the chapters of his prior life (circa 1997).

Knowing what came before—and finding familiar faces to help him—is the only way to survive.

Not just for him, but for the billions that call this planet-sized ship, home."

Christian De La Huerta is a sought-after spiritual teacher, personal transformation coach and leading voice in the breathwork community. He has traveled the world offering inspiring and transformational retreats combining psychological and spiritual teachings with lasting and life-changing effects. An award-winning, critically acclaimed author, he has spoken at numerous universities and conferences and on the TedX stage. His new book, Awakening the Soul of Power, was described by multiple Grammy Award–winner Gloria Estefan as “a balm for the soul of anyone searching for truth and answers to life’s difficult questions.”

He grew up in Cuba during the Castro takeover and had to flee the country with his family.

From shy, introverted child filled with self-doubt to internationally renowned speaker.

His new book, Awakening the Soul of Power, has strong messages about authentic self-expression and personal empowerment. For anyone who has struggled with issues around relationships, self-doubt, or a sense of purpose. The book explores how we step into power in a different way that's not about hierarchy, control, fear, force or domination.

The book's message can help you transform your relationship to power so you can stop selling out your personal power to fears and pain and can free yourselves from self-sabotaging behaviors.

It can also help you heal toxic relationship patterns and negotiate power struggles more effectively. On a macro scale, issues of power and the abuse of power have been integral to our society. Globally, power is up for all of us to look at—and choose: What kind of leadership do we want? What kind of world?

What would you sacrifice for your child? Dreams? Ambitions? Everything?

Jim Bowen is a single father who struggles with his ex-wife. He still loves her and wants it to work but her toxic personality is devastating to their sweet seven-year-old daughter, Lily.

His grand ambitions of being an architect and building skyscrapers in a big city have eluded him. He’s on edge, working in a factory and living in a dying mid-west town while trying to raise his daughter and teach her right from wrong. The pressures are mounting.

Like the town, he fights on for a better life. That better life may come in the form of a single woman with a child of her own.

Pushed to the limits, they fight through each day, while most of the townspeople hold together like a family relying on each other.

The town that once thrived now hangs on to the past like a fraying thread.

Did they stay too long? Will love save them, or will bitterness destroy them all?

The answers delve deep into the eternal question of what it means to truly love.

Are you a truth seeker? Writers and artists are truth seekers. Often from great suffering we want to learn how life works. The Whys. The Hows. We want to explore the truths of humanity and bring it into the light turning fact into fiction. The facts get built into the characters we create. It is often through pain we want to express or purge to find conclusions, answers, and healing. It is the sword we express to create our worlds and the same sword we bleed from.
