This week, we played the specter hunting, city protecting, kingdom builder, Haunted Lands! In this episode, we will be diving into the things we liked and breaking down everything that makes it great, because we only play awesome games, and in Haunted Lands; ‘who you gonna call?’
Haunted Lands is a competitive Euro-game for 2-4 players, with beautiful illustrations and amazing meeples. Explore new lands in search of new resources to help develop your community. But beware: Specters from ancient civilizations still dwell in these places, frightening the explorers and making your buildings unusable. As Perceivers, you are the only ones who can communicate with these restless spirits, to try to drive them away from these lands and become the heroes of Kalena!.

This week we got the chance to preview Arcs, the upcoming Leder Games release that is on Kickstarter until Tuesday June 14th. Arcs is a fast-playing science fiction game from Cole Wehrle, Kyle Ferrin, and the award-winning team that brought you Root and Oath. The game opens in the final days of a decaying empire. A fearsome blight has overwhelmed the outer systems. As the last imperial regents, players must balance their duty to an ancient order against their own ambitions. Will you find opportunity in this crisis?
Our opinions in this episode are based on a print and play early edition of the game, knowing full well that the game will undergo revisions until final release next year.
