The Stone Tape: Recent Episodes

The Stone Tape theory is the speculation that ghosts and hauntings are analogous to tape recordings, and that mental impressions during emotional or traumatic events can be projected in the form of energy, "recorded" onto rocks and other items and "replayed" under certain conditions.
I’m interested in the every day events. Those vernacular experiences. Life going on as normal. I am the stone tape that records these moments. I find it very calming to listen back and remember the nuances of the moment. Feel free to eves-drop on the past and imagine what caused all of those little sounds.
Saturday 8th July 2023, just after teatime. A long recording that I can curl up and read a book to. Recorded in my increasingly leaky shed, it’s a storm of many parts. Light rain, heavy rain and the occasional roll of thunder. The drips from my shed roof almost form a rhythm near the end.. but not quite.
Recorded between 04:30 and 06:00. The recording was made half way up the side of the valley. You can hear the natural echo from the cliff face on the opposite side of the valley. You may also be able to hear the call of the peregrine falcons that nest in that cliff face.
Recorded in my shed. Somercotes, Derbyshire. There is some clipping on the loudest of the thunder claps, sorry about that.
Down in the valley the mist was building up. This recording was taken at around 6am. The river can be heard winding its way between sheep filled fields.
5am in the grounds of Hathersage Church, Derbyshire. UK. An interesting fact about the church is that it’s graveyard contains the remains of ‘Little John’ one of Robin Hood’s Merry Men.
I woke up one night around 2am with gales outside. The winds were gusting up to around 50mph. You can hear the gate had worked loose and is being blown against the garden wall every now and then.
This storm took place at around 17:30 and was recorded from my garden. It starts off quite gently so you can hear the sounds of neighbors and traffic. Eventually the rain becomes torrential and there is rolling thunder throughout.
This was recorded close to Pye Bridge, Derbyshire at 06:20 on 23/03/2020. It was a little rest on my allocated 1 per day exercise walk.
