Katherine Switzer is a RUNNING ICON. We will say it again...A RUNNING ICON to people across the world. She was the first woman to officially run in the Boston marathon in 1967 and the historic photos (which are on our social media pages) showed Switzer being by a race official who grabbed her shoulder, flung her back, screaming, “Get the hell out of my race and give me those numbers!”
