Saint Stephen’s Chapel seeks to reach San Antonio area with the ancient, yet transforming message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the valley of life’s gravest circumstances, we must firmly root our lives in the work of Jesus, remembering God’s promise to never desert or abandon us.
In light of God’s ultimate revelation in Christ, He will once again shake all that is temporary to establish His unshakable Kingdom. Therefore, we must worship God with reverence and awe, for He is a consuming fire who will judge sin.
God’s loving discipline focuses on our eternal joy rather than our temporal ease, ensuring that the fruit of our discipline is Christlikeness.
There is an inexpressible joy in looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, as we run with active endurance the race of life set before us.
Faith sees the unseen, chooses the eternal over the temporal, trusts in God's promises instead of the fleeting pleasures of sin, and receives salvation through the Person of Jesus Christ.
True faith in Christ shines brightest when obedience to Him transcends human reason. Abraham demonstrated this faith by his willingness to sacrifice his son to the God who provides, redeems, and—even from death—brings life.
True faith is rooted in a deep longing for Jesus Christ, trusting in His promises while serving as Christian exiles in this world, looking forward to a heavenly homeland.
God calls us to live by faith in Him, obey His word even when we don’t fully understand, and look beyond present circumstances toward the eternal city He has prepared for us.
Faith embodies the assurance of what is hoped for, rooted in God’s promises, bringing forth the conviction that salvation comes to all who believe in Jesus Christ.
Falling into the hands of the living God in judgment, by rejecting His offer of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, is a terrifying reality.
