Bob hosts a behind-the-scenes tour of his Vermont maple syrup operation as they prepare for their 10th season of production. Joined by author Steve Stockman and syrup maker Hank Prouty, the video showcases their small-batch, traditional approach to maple syrup production. They walk viewers through their sugar house, explaining their unique process using reverse osmosis and oil-fired evaporators, which helps create their distinctive flavor while maintaining traditional quality.
The operation taps about 400 trees across 10 acres of sugar bush, using modern vacuum technology to optimize sap collection while preserving tree health. The team proudly emphasizes their small-batch, single-farm approach, distinguishing their product from mass-produced syrups. Despite Bob moving away from the farm, he continues the tradition through a partnership with the property’s new owners.

Aloha from Honolulu! In this special episode, recorded from my birthplace in Hawaii, I catch up with my longtime friend, Spike O’Neill! (Recorded a couple days before Thanksgiving… just now getting this one up after a little tech issue)
We take a heartfelt look at life, recovery, and the holiday spirit. We tackle big topics—divisive politics, the media’s grip on perception, and the rise of AI—while reflecting on the importance of kindness, genuine dialogue, and hope for the future.
It’s a conversation about connection, resilience, and finding unity in a world that feels more divided than ever. Perfect for the holiday season! 🌴✨

After a hiatus filled with challenges and recovery, Bob Rivers returns to the mic — joined by comedian son, Andrew Rivers. The father-son duo dives into an episode packed with humor, heart, and maybe a few regrets.
Bob brings his trademark warmth (and a little help from his emotional support animal) as Andrew shares what might be the ‘dumbest thing he’s ever done’. He hasn’t posted anything about it, hasn’t told anyone, not even brother Keith. Mom, Lisa, will learn of after hearing this episode!
Bob opens up about his own vote in the election and shares some candid thoughts on his choice & feelings.. post-election.
While Andrew’s reveal is kinda a BFD, he’s mainly here because he’s missed doing podcasts with Dad 🙂

A random email from a Twisted Tunes fan a few years ago has evolved into a personal friendship with one of the most interesting, entertaining, and intelligent people I have ever met.
That says a lot, when you consider that for close to 40 years, people have been bringing me interesting, entertaining and intelligent people to talk to every day of the week. That was our job.
Michael “Misha” Shengaout (we’ll just call him by his artist name Misha), emailed me out of nowhere saying that he was a big fan of mine and wondered if he could meet whoever I was working with to make Twisted Tunes, as he was planning a concept album. He wanted it to have great production values.
Oh, and he had just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. His reaction was that he wanted to try and make the best and most important music of his life. He wanted to set an example for anyone with a terminal illness. But he did not tell me that.
Cynical Bob Rivers wrestled with whether to bother Ben Karlstrom, who’s quite busy, with something that’s rarely great. Original songs that stand up today are rare, even though it seems that everyone has the tools to participate. Where’s the Soul? Where’s the personal pain and joy in lyrical poetry?
But, I had a gut feeling.
At around the same time, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer too. And lost a dear friend in Alan White. As his celebration of life was being planned, I offered to help and maybe mix some live songs that might evolve into a film someday. This project has become for me, like “Misha’s” mission.
So when I of course hit up Ben Karlstrom to help me with this project, he said he was a few month’s behind, finishing up the project for “Misha”. Thanks for the reference, he said “Misha” is a great guy!
That is how we met, about a year ago.
Today’s stage 4 cancer survival rates are improving, largely it seems, to new and better drugs and immunotherapies. What used to be a projected survival of moths, now can add precious years. Or not. And we all live scan to scan. The “report card” comes every 3 months.
And boy does that change your perspective on so many things. We talk a lot about that.
Misha and his studio band are nothing typical. His 87 year old piano teacher who happens to be his mom, plays the piano. His studio band is a world class gritty set of musicians who serve every song like it’s the best meal at a ten star restaurant.
But be prepared. They are different in a “Russian meets American” vibe, which might seem unusual. Until you remember that we are all one species of People on One Planet… and every one of us will one day walk the path to The End Of The Road.
As we take that path, or stairway (nod to Led Zeppelin) what matters the most?
You are invited to contact Misha to see his blog posts, email him, request him as a guest on your podcast, and even set up a video chat.

Bob Rivers and Steve Stockman dig in with a very interesting scientist.
Dan Ariely is a Professor of psychology and behavioral economics at Duke University. has been one of our favorite guests and authors since 2008, when he wrote “Predicably Irrational”. His latest book is called: Misbelief: What Makes Rational People Believe Irrational Things?
Once you understand this, it can change your life. You might even have more empathy for those who think differently than you do. Just might. Would that be so terrible?
I know, sounds like it’s about politics. It sort of is, in that it uses Left and Right examples a lot. Republicans the Democrats each think their opponents are trying to destroy our country. Doesn’t that seem odd on its face?
If you’re slightly curious about your own misbeliefs, and the science of human nature, you’ve come to the right place.

If you love The Grateful Dead, Cannabis, and Psychedelic experiences, you should enjoy Bob, Ed, and Andrew talking about what may be the Greatest Concert On Earth.
I talked my son Andrew into a Dead and Company Show at the Sphere last week. Now we are both Deadheads, and I have purchased tickets to 3 more upcoming shows. In all that amounts to 16 1/2 hours of seeing a band I was never that interested in.
Big Surprises:

It’s the first Bob Spike and Joe podcast in a long time, and the first since Joe Bryant’s heart attack. Note: If you don’t want to hear 3 old guys talk about their health, this may not be the show for you.
On the other hand, talking about dying is a refreshing break from Politics.
You won’t believe what Joe ate in the 48 hours preceding his heart attack!
Why the US really wants to ban Tik Tok. It ain’t Chinese Spying.
Bob learns how to use StubHub. Sometimes if you wait until the last minute, you can score tickets on the cheap. Springsteen aisle seats for $108, one hour before the show.

Special Guest, Pro Musician, Comic, and amazing personality Chace McNinch. Thank you to my inspirational and kind niece JodyLynn, who spotted Chace performing in Montana.
Chace happens to be Trans. Does that make you uncomfortable? I hope you will find her gentle sarcasm and acceptance of all people to be both inspired and contagious.
If you believe identity politics is a load of crap that will be easy.
Her story about a memorable encounter with Steven Tyler is hilarious. Standing up to a rock star was bold!
We go behind the scenes to talk about the challenges and joys of performing, pre show nerves, and finding comfort being on stage.

Andrew Rivers is in Las Vegas for his first ever headlining gig… it goes very well.
We talk about his new steady (for now) girlfriend. Lisa and I zoomed with the two of them, and there seemed to be chemistry.
We talked about Global Politics a little bit. I think Andrew is a radical centrist like me.
Lisa pops in and talks about how disgusting the “Roast of Tom Brady” was on Netflix

Bob admits that he’s never known a Trans person, and we decide that’s going to change (.. In Part 2!)
If Joe Biden were smart, he’d go on Howard Stern every week, and make John Stewart his campaign manager. If not, get used to Trump: The Sequel.
The coolest new style of movie might just be the Netflix series “Ripley”. Vinyl has come back, why not Black and White video? Watch and be surprised how much you love it.
A rigorous discussion of AI includes the threat of copyrighted works being plundered, along with very real cool advances that will alter our world perhaps as much as the internet has.
Stay tuned for Part 2 and Thanks for listening… we missed you!

Steve Fossen, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Bassist and founding member of Heart is still touring and playing all over the country, with his soul mate Somar Macek. Heart by Heart sounds so authentic to the original recordings as they were played in the 70’s, you’ll swear you have travelled in time.
In this overdue podcast, Bob and Spike hang out with Steve and Somar. We dig into what it was like to be a RockStar playing in from of 400,000 fans, the philosophy behind the bands move to Canada, and how the song Magic Man catapulted the band to fame.
Fast forward to modern times. Steve accidentally meets the love of his life, who happens to look and sing remarkably like Ann Wilson. At first he and Somar play Heart songs as a duo, but inevitably they fall in love and get married. (Heart by Heart consists of Fossen, Macek, Heart Hall of Fame drummer Mike Derosier, multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Lizzy Daymont, and guitarist Chad Quist).
If you’ve missed the podcasts (thank you to those who reached out to say so), now that I’ve recovered from chemo, we’re back to make some more. I’m very grateful to all of you who listen.
All of the rare Heart pics and video footage provided by Steve Fossen.

Bob and BJ have been best friends and Trekkies for over 20 years.
BJ is still bummed that ‘The Bob Rivers Show – KZOK’ beat ‘BJ Shea – KISW’ for “Star Trek walk-on roles for the Show Host and a Listener”. Because I got to be on Star Trek. And he didn’t. I can’t blame him.
But had it not gone that way, we wouldn’t be having this insightful Podcast with Amy Ulen. Author, Teacher and so much more – Amy was the bonafide trekky and the lucky listener who joined me for the walk-on roles.

Bob and Pete were 17 and 19 years old. If you remember top 40 radio, when we were kids, you might enjoy the behind the scenes story of 2 teenage best friends breaking a few rules and helping to create a radio station that’s still a success today.
They started working together just out of high school. Bob went on to a lifelong career hosting mornings. Pete Salant launched a #1 station in New York City, and became one of the top programming consultants in the country.
Along with Ed Kelly, we reminisce, but also celebrate the talent of today. Although the business has changed dramatically, there are so many great radio shows and podcasts to choose from. It’s a good time to be a listener and fan!

You may remember our podcasts with Tami Asars, and her dramatic tales live from the Appalachian Trail as she completed the Triple Crown of backpacking. Pacific Crest Trail, Continental Divide Trail, and The Appalachian Trail. Just looking up the mileage on those will give you blisters.
Tami never rests. She has a new book out, “Fall Color Hikes: Washington“.
We delve deeper into the rewards of becoming one with nature on the trails. And also snakes, bears, and other wild animals.
My cohost for this podcast is filmmaker author, lifelong friend and hiking buddy Steve Stockman. You’ll like his dry sense of humor and his book and video course “How To Shoot Video That Doesn’t Suck”.
These pop up podcasts are a bright spot for me these days, as some of you know I’m getting some chemo treatments to keep the big C at bay. It’s all good, we all know someone going through it… So if I seem a little fatigued and leaning back in my chair, or miss a week, that’s why.
Kudos to Michael McMorrow productions and our beloved David Lee for the stellar work adding graphics and postproduction to make these latest interviews shine.
Enjoy. And thank you for watching and listening.

Bob Spike and Joe share latest what’s going in our lives…
The Jack and Spike show pairs our legendary cohost and friend will a brilliant young talk host named Jack Stine. Jack seems to have an encyclopedic memory, kind heart, and like Bob, a giant ego.
Downtown Joe always looks on the bright side of life. He has a new prescription that has a very pleasant side effect.

Journalist/Supermom, Maura Gallucci and Filmmaker/Author Steve Stockman join Andrew & I… News stuff will come up of course, but if we talk about our lives and what’s important to us each, I think that makes it interesting.
I acknowledge my treatments. I’ve been using my forced laziness to sit and talk with more friends than ever before. Side effects are not terrible, but it’s good to be near a couch and a bathroom.
I’m reading a book about Jesus. How did that happen? It has to do with Women’s Undergarments.
I feel guilty about the small things I’m buying on Amazon. Not the big stuff. The little stuff.
And I was sent a graphic. It could be the training manual for FOX. But let’s not dwell on politics too much. It’s kind of a “how to spot dishonest conversation” guide.

Bob and Zip hang out with Andrew Rivers. Bob talks for the first time about being inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame. How it feels, and who some of his biggest influences were. He and Zip do some reminiscing about dating in the late ‘70s, and the first time he met Lisa.
We had planned a fascinating interview with one of the most respected record producers in Rock and Roll, which unfortunately had to be postponed.
Andrew has just finished taping his special, and he’s got lots to talk about. They tape these things twice usually, so you get choices in the editing room. Turns out night one was very hot in Seattle, and a decision was made to turn off the AC so the sound wouldn’t be picked up in the recording. Let’s just say the 2nd night was less sweaty!

Fun fact. When Maura Gallucci joined our radio show, the ratings took off and made us #1 with adults in Seattle.
If you were listening to the Bob Rivers Show in the 90’s and early 2000’s, you heard all the stories as our children became toddlers and teenagers. Back then the internet was a place where scientists texted each other using modems, and a naked picture might take a full minute to load on your desktop computer. We all had flip phones.
Bob, Spike and Maura spend this episode talking about our families in the present day! Bonus.
It took almost half the show before Spike mentioned politics. We manage to almost stay politics-free.

Bob and Son Andrew Rivers have a friendly father son spar. Not so much a cage match, I suppose. That phrase might be clickbait.
How do we navigate in a world where every individual with a smart phone believes they are (or maybe could or should be) a global celebrity?
Is the increasing power of tech titans causing a marked decline in human kindness? We know our information is bought and sold in unprecedented ways. Have we considered how much more we are being manipulated?
Since algorithms thrive on drama, and divisiveness is a bankable business model, what can a poor comedian or retired former broadcaster do to make the world a better place?
The conversation might not be for everyone, especially those of you who think you have all the right answers.
Always be teachable, otherwise you’re a part of a herd.
The only constant is change, yet the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Drew and Bob interview each other in this special edition of Bob and Zip w/Ed Kelly. In part, for the industry voters in the 2023 Radio Hall Of Fame. Read Bob’s Bio, at bobrivers.com (https://bobrivers.com)
Drew asks the follow up questions.
Yes, Bob was Nude in one of these fables. And the true story is publicly told here for the first time.
Yes, Bob and Zip were courted big time by major markets. Why Zip wouldn’t leave, and Bob, who is a huge fan of fellow nominee Charles Laquidera, may have benefitted from competitor WBCN trying to get the show moved away from Boston. Just hearsay, mind you… but at least 3 Infinity Radio stations (Infinity owned WBCN) came a calling.
Who is Drew Lane? Only one of the most successful morning show hosts in America. He was Bob’s successor at WAAF/Boston (former KISW sister station) His 23 year reign as the #1 morning show on WRIF Detroit never skipped a beat. It continues today with his daily podcast of The Drew and Mike Show.
We are all big fans of Drew. He shares his secrets of success. From starting in the business hoping not to be fired too quickly, to achieving market dominance.
So with 2 hosts and 2 sidekicks to pick on, Bob and Drew take turns interviewing each other, and comparing Zip and Ed stories… like the time Zip had a short vacation to the Betty Ford Clinic.
Just how did huge bands like Blue Oyster Cult and Collective Soul end up playing in Bob’s Garage? That and more true stories from Rock Radio’s Glory Days.

BJ SHEA and Bob Rivers became friends at a Morning Show Boot Camp 30 years ago.
Despite being direct competitors on the radio, they coached and learned from each other the entire time. Bob taught BJ how not to get fired, and BJ taught Bob to let his tiny freak flag fly.
Plus there are some things from the past that BJ will have to delicately explain to his Daughter.
Anytime we get too technical about the ratings, or dealing with management, Joe will distract us with a good FOOD analogy.
Spike and BJ both talk about going from 2nd banana to hosting your own show.
And Andrew Rivers tells a joke that got him banned.

Tonight we go deep on what kind of podcast we want to do. More intimate, honest and hopefully uplifting. Less current events. Not none, but less.
…Because these days a current event is stale in a day or two. And the ones that stay topical are aimed at the reptilian brain.
We reveal the author of the quote: A lie gets halfway around the world before “The Truth Gets Its Pants On”.
Bob and Zip, with Ed Kelly, Web Guru David Lee, and special guest Spike O’Neill take you backstage with some candid backstory on how we got here.
Bob has just finished a book that changed his life. The “War of Art” by Steve Pressfield. He’s on our guest wish list but you should just buy the book and read it.
Zip and Ed never married or had kids. Did they have more freedom? Bob and Spike try to make them cry. Ed comes close.

A software veteran, pilot, and the ‘true story’ basis of a movie in development, Chuck Opperman has seen it all and is our special guest in this episode of The Truth Gets It’s Pants On. We dig with stories about the past, present, and future of technology.
AI is cute now. An interesting tool.
How are you using it?
Will it kill jobs?
Will it increase productivity?
Does it infringe on intellectual property?
Will we be overtaken by the Borg?
Is it too late or too difficult to regulate?

A quote from Enders Game.
“There is no teacher but the enemy. No one but the enemy will tell you what the enemy is going to do. No one but the enemy will ever teach you how to destroy and conquer. Only the enemy show you where you are weak. Only the enemy shows you where he is strong. And the rules of the game are what you can do to him and what you can stop him from doing to you. – Mazer Rackham”
It’s similar to The Art of War. Think about what it means and how we can apply it in our modern lives.
Dr. John Medina had to say:
Wow. Interesting quote. Did you ever read “The Art of War”? Sun Tzu, written about the time the ancient Israelites were getting their butts kicked by the Assyrians. Favorite line:“If you know the enemy and you know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.” Interesting to contrast this with you Rackham quote.
If you juxtapose those two philosophical quotes, you get the secret to success.
The Wall Street Journal. The conservative paper of record, just caved on immigration.
AI Wants to be regulated!!!
Why? And how will that go? Hmm I wonder if the laws will be written by lobbyists from the biggest tech companies?

Interning at KISW, Cathy Faulkner was barely old enough to buy cigarettes. The day Nirvana released “Nevermind”, she became KISW Music Director. As Pearl Jam recorded “Ten”, Cathy had fallen asleep on the studio couch.
Bob Spike and Joe spend over an hour with Cathy on the “behind the scenes” curation of musicians, bands, on-air talent and how the ‘Seattle Sound’ came to be. A great conversation!
Spike is tearing it up these days on KIRO Mid Days with his sparring partner (and fast rising talent) Jack Stine.
And Downtown Joe is mentoring the Broadcasters of tomorrow at KMIH.
And none of this could have happened at all for any of us without YOU. Thanks for listening for all those years.

We will make every possible effort to go deep, staying away from hackneyed talking points. If you hear one, call us out on it!
Let’s admit to all the lies we all swallow…. How the continuing thirst for click bait and fame has lowered our standards to previously unthinkable low levels of honesty. Wait, you think it’s only other people who are brainwashed?
Zip always looks on the bright side of life. After years of paying in, he’s finally costing Medicare real money. So cool!
Donald found liable for sexual assault that happened we’re not sure when, and ordered to pay millions. Are we starting to see enforcement of laws on the rich and powerful? Don’t bet too much on it. Look for a settlement while it’s on appeal. Billionaires only get speeding tickets.
If West Wing and Homeland had a baby it would be this new Netflix series called “The Diplomat”. It stars Keri Russell.

The true behind the scenes story of the creation of the Bob Rivers Show with Maura Gallucci.
Maura was filling in on KIRO one morning. Downtown Joe heard her and the idea was hatched.
Maura talks with Bob candidly about joining a Rock Show, doing real news….
Bob reveals his motivations and why the company let him raid the newsroom.
Spike joins in after Impalers practice. We all agree that family is everything, and Spike and Maura update each other as he shares his pride for his miracle daughter.
It took Bob 4 months to bring himself to watch the last interview he had with Dori Monson.
After you see it, you’ll understand why he belongs on the Mount Rushmore of Seattle Radio.

The Journey from Reefer Madness to acceptance and beyond!
Comedian Andrew Rivers ( @andrewjrivers ) and Dad Bob talk about Pot. Andrew delivers the ultimate put-down zinger.
Bob has Listened to some AI Music. Even though a large record company wants to outlaw it… they have nothing to worry about. It totally sucks.
And we will all gloat over the almost 800 Billion Dollar speeding ticket that Rupert Murdock had to pay this week. If you watch FOX news, you may have missed the story.

Bob and Lisa host a support group of Esophageal Cancer survivors over for a five-day hangout. The group met on a Zoom chat about a year ago and have gotten close. Bob saw no need to check anyone’s pockets on departure.
Ever seen any Cirque du Soleil shows? Bob raves about ‘Michael Jackson One’ and how was a feast for the senses with the incredible surround sound and no-net acrobatics. Which leads to discussing Michael’s controversies and how the Vegas show made subtle reference through symbolism. Did MJ kinda get a pass?
After talking about the ‘KISW 90’s reunion’ that Joe attended & enjoyed seeing all the old faces.. The guys reminisce about Seattle’s grunge heyday in the early 90’s and talk about the current state of Seattle; homelessness, drug overdoses, graffiti, garbage and crime.
Joe teases he has something in common with Hollywood movie stars, which is the use of the diabetic drug, Ozempic, for weight loss. Hollywood discovered this and started using it off-label, leading to people paying thousands of dollars for it. Joe’s unsure of its effectiveness on him due to a high tolerance to drugs – and cuz.. eating – a lifelong habit that’s hard to break.
BSJ get some tips how to be better podcasters/hosts from an unlikely source.. the importance of accepting compliments graciously and expressing gratitude towards others. They touch on the difficulty of balancing listening and speaking when hosting a show and how this can sometimes cause hosts to come off as insensitive to compliments.
We re-spin a great clip o’yesteryear when Lewis Black ( @OfficialLewisBlack / https://www.lewisblack.com ) visited the studio. Black discusses his comedic style, which he describes as being an optimist who is let down by reality every day… his philosophy on socialism, his formal education in drama and Broadway plays.. one he wrote that never made to stage.

Comedian Kristin Key ( @KristinKeyComedy ) who has one of the nicest smiles in all of show biz. Her comedy is an uninhibited mix of edgy, joyful, a little dirty and always inclusive.

Russell Brand has been no stranger to controversy in media regarding his sex, drugs & rock & roll – marriage to Katy Perry, and his evermore right-leaning views on politics and social issues. We take you back to a younger, more predictable Brand (@RussellBrand) visiting The Bob Rivers Show to promote his movie, “Get Him to the Greek”.
Spike goes total fanboy and expertly matches Russell’s laser-sharp wit as he hilariously touches on past abuse, heroin vs. career, exploding fame, celeb life with Katy… micturition and ‘cats in jackets.’

Gee, anything interesting going on in the news? The Trump indictment is unfortunately just the oxygen that the media loves to devour. Bob puts forth the “Tinder, Kindling and Windbag” theory of why we are about to once again be deluged with all Trump all the time.
Bob notes the similarities between the WWE and the Christians and the Lions!
Which Game of Thrones character does Trump resemble most?
Bob confesses to being sucked into short clips of provocative questions. His Catholic guilt kicks in. Should there be an online confessional?
Starbucks, McDonalds, The Airlines, and Hotels are all ruining their loyalty programs with shrinkflation.

A major announcement by Spotify that couldn’t be worse. Instead of giving real people access to the platform to be influencers and curators of music, they announce their new AI DJ. It is so bad, we mock it mercilessly. Can AI do that?
Bob Rivers, Zip Zipfel, and Ed Kelly… with special guests Spike O’Neill, Shawn Alexander, and Comedian; Andrew Rivers (@andrewjrivers).
The failure of Silicon Valley Bank could lead to contagion. No matter how much you hate seeing rich people bailed out, it has to happen. Blame the banks, blame the regulators, but don’t forget the Fed has been trying to “break” something by skyrocketing interest rates.
Shawn Alexander’s family owned banks made him quite familiar with this “game” that is played with real money.
Andrew Rivers has taken a 5 day break from Cannabis… which leads to a little frank father son dialogue about moderation and addiction. We’re just scratching the surface. Dad uses and has used Cannabis again for neuropathy, nausea, etc. That’s medical, but admittedly a gummy makes music sound incredible.
So what’s moderation? When do you cross the line and become a Stoner? I suspect part 2 of this discussion is coming next week.

Zip, as are much of the public, is infatuated with the Murdaugh trial. Could the interest in the story be due to the potential for a Netflix series?
‘Dude- where’s my car?’ Spike’s got thoughts on some Ford patents, innovations and features we’ll probably see in cars/trucks in the very near-future.
Bob’s syrup-making friend was scrolling through short videos on his phone and showed a video of an alligator crawling through a wrought iron fence. Was cocaine-gator legit?
Though initially deciding not to see Bruce Springsteen in concert per the high ticket prices and the less-than impressive tv performances seen of late, Spike & co decided to go after all. He talks about the concert, Springsteen’s strong vocals, perfect backup harmonies, and his return to lead guitar playing…. The show includes seven encores, with the band leaving and returning for six of them. Bruce did a solo seventh/final encore. Spike says it’s the best Springsteen show he has ever seen.

Is it the ‘end of the internet’ as we know it today? The Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments this week in two cases regarding Section 230 that could forever and profoundly alter online speech and content moderation.
Bob and Lisa took a short road trip to Valley Of Fire. Lisa drove. Bob is a terrible driver, but he’s only the 2nd worst driver in this marriage. How can anyone who can drive with their knees, eat, surf the web, and make videos in a moving vehicle say their husband scares them when he drives?
Ed Kelly is a Film Star. The life of a voice actor turned film actor. Auditions!
Attorney Shawn Alexander and Bob update you on Mark, our friend who wants to be back on the grid, and come clean with the IRS.
And: Things the pandemic is still doing to us!
Dr Laura still on the air. Still a ruthless bitch.
Zip Zipfel is fascinated that can be easily swayed, regardless of facts. He watches a lot of crime shows, and even if there’s a video tape of them committing a crime, a great attorney can create doubt. The Power of Love. It’s not just a Huey Lewis hit. What can we do to make the world a better place? Are we making the most of our time? Bob thinks a lot about this, as he is in Cancer remission, at least for the moment.
The next chapter of “Our Friend Mark”, who is trying to get right by the IRS. An accountant in our audience named Jeremy Saladino*, helps people in this situation. He offers more tips on going legit. If you know anyone off the grid economically, this story. Shawn Alexander chimes in from his legal perspectives.
The Chinese Balloon. US surrounds China with War Machinery while freaking out about balloons.
“A big Chinese balloon in the sky and millions of Chinese TikTok balloons on our phones,” tweeted Senator Mitt Romney. “Let’s shut them all down.” Hmm. Wouldn’t we be just like China if we wanted a closed internet? And why am I supposed to think of China as an enemy? Is it just Bid-Ness?
Plus… Spike O’Neill floats a couple Chinese-balloon-inspired Twisted Tune ideas… We ask ChatGPT some important questions and learn who the ‘most famous Bob Rivers in the world’ is… and we can now see more of Zip’s mug!

What’s the difference between executive function, and your lizard brain? Better known as the ‘Reptilian Brain’, responsible for the “4-F’s” of primal responses to stimuli — Fight, Flight, Food and Fornication. (The 4-F’s have been debated over the years.. we’re sticking with the above for purposes here)
About Rush Limbaugh, his style, his brain and how he captivated reptilian brains. Of course, Ed Kelly flexes his best Rush impression muscles.. and many others.
Did the Internet kill the radio star? Maybe, but Bob knows how to bring the radio star back to life. It’s a billion-dollar idea he was pitching to Apple years ago. He’s giving it away here, for free! (You’re welcome, Spotify)
Also, Eddie Van Halen’s brain, dementia, mental challenges, and more.

Special guests Spike O’Neill & Joe Bryant, and Shawn Alexander.
Bob is experiencing the effects of a Bomb Cyclone and Atmospheric River in Malibu Canyon.
Zip is in love with the Facebook Whistleblower: Frances Haugen. She says Facebook is “scared”. And she has advice for Elon Musk.
Spike and Joe are special guests once again.. Joe is playing with OpenAI/ChatGPT, New Years’ Resolutions. Seattle School District suing Social Media. And female M&M’s?
What is “Executive Function” and why is it the enemy of your Lizard Brain?
Positive Law with Shawn Alexander. We update you on our “off the grid” friend Mark, and try to help a struggling small business cope with live music.
We’re taken aback by the pro drumming skills of (then) 8 year-old @yoyoka_soma in her ‘breakout’ video covering Led Zeppelin’s ‘Good Times, Bad Times’. Bob hopes to meet her, learning she and her family have moved to Las Vegas.
Special Guests: Joe Bryant, Spike O’Neill, and Jeff Kathan.
We remember a great broadcaster and friend, Dori Monson.
Stealing Dave Barry’s humor.
Get ready for the RichCession.

It’s the 2022 year end livestream with Bob Rivers, Spike O’Neill, Shawn Alexander, and comedian Andrew Rivers… Still getting used to seeing each other’s mugs.
We’re taking candy away from babies, conversing about parenting today vs parenting in the old days, and ponder… is it par for the course that the parent/child roles eventually reverse? Andrew has some life lessons for Bob.
Will Trump be indicted? Bob’s not so sure.. ‘for the good of the country’
Isn’t it kinda sus that gas prices just happen to go down right after the midterms? Things that make you go, hmmm 🤔
Spike doesn’t want to talk politics. Well, at least that was his initial intention. He unleashes on George Santos and a couple other matters in true Spike fashion, but can’t focus because Andrew’s fashion (beautiful hair) is too distracting.
Dealing with scammer calls.. Wait, is it really a scammer? Would a legit gov agency representative chew ass for thinking they might be a scammer?
Why is the US ‘da boss’ of the world? Do we think we rule the world? Are we better than them?
The best thing about E-cars is not ‘not having to put gas in them’. We’ve the good, the bad and the ugly about electric vehicles.. Shawn has some particular thoughts on EV’s.
New entertainment ideas; Andrew floats ‘Netflix for Liberals’ and ‘Jew-ish’ (ala ‘Black-ish’) And Spike comes up with a new Twisted Christmas tune idea on the fly; “I’m Dreaming of Some White- Privilege”
Spike gets real about fam, learning his pronouns, the true meaning of this Christmas and what nearly brought him to tears ❤️
Finally, Bob is going under the knife again, and will be recovering by the time you hear this. But assures it’s relatively routine and has nothing todo with that ‘other/more significant matter’.

UPDATE: Bob’s surgery went well and is doing fine in recovery!
Argentina is the happiest place on Earth. Pedro and Luciana Bartes join us live from Argentina, where they are drinking heavily and waving flags to celebrate the World Cup victory. We celebrate their US Citizenship,
Livestream #4 shows off Ed Kelly’s podcast studio set- and to see him do his voices adds a new dimension.
Songs we could never do today. Spike talks about how being woke would have negated much of our classic humor.
He also rants about being called a Libtard. I think he embraces it as much as my electrician Steve loved being a Deplorable. Interesting how insults lose their power when you “take back the word” and wear it as a badge of honor.
This week we add a new segment, Positive Law. It features attorney Shawn Alexander and a listener (anonymous- fake name) who has been off the tax grid for 15 years and wants to get come clean and get his taxes filed.

On the audio podcast, we close with a Twisted Tune written and performed by our handi-capable listeners – we could not probably make it today. Plus a few Twisted Christmas classics.
Bob guests on 77 WABC New York to talk about Twisted Christmas, we reminisce about Rush Limbaugh, who was a huge fan:
Our 3rd Live Podcast recording starts with a topic Zip brought up weeks ago, that’s just now becoming a household name. The FTX Collapse starring Sam Bankman Fried. Who’s to blame?
Is this just like Bernie Madoff, Enron, Theranos, and so many other swindles? Should Sam rot in prison?
Bob asks the group, can you tell the difference between “Truth” and “Opinion”. Turns out we’re mostly good at the latter.
We’re a storytelling species, so everything is a narrative, right? When did narrative become a bad word? Was it when billions of people got their own hand-held global multimedia platforms and the long tail started wagging the dog?
When an AI tool allows you to make cool Avatars of your face, is that cool? What if an AI app can make someone with no talent paint in the style of an established artist? Is that intellectual property theft? Or is it progress?
We close the audio show with a set of Twisted Christmas tunes requested by our livestream audience. “Who Put The Stump“, “Christmas Money“, and “I Am Santa Claus“.
We are all getting used to the new web interface (and seeing each other’s faces too). Bob and Zip start the show live from the big island of Hawaii and Worcester, MA. Ed Kelly and Spike O’Neill soon join in from Detroit and Seattle.
Ed Kelly is making a killing this Holiday Season, in costume. But he’s no mall Santa- He’s the Grinch! It’s a serious costume (like being an alien in a Star Wars movie).
Yes, there is an active volcano erupting, and it’s not far from Bob… he can see it on his way to Starbucks. But there are bigger ash holes on television news, and Bob found himself sucked into live coverage of the Georgia Senate runoff.
We start to talk about the “Fake” drama we’re subjected to in media land, where everything is an emergency and the population is divided just about neatly 50-50. Could it be that we’re being manipulated? Spike is having none of it, his side is right, and the other side is immoral.
Remember when you cut the cord, to stop seeing commercials and pay for just the TV channels you needed? Well, the more things change, the more they end up exactly the same. Now most premium streamers are running commercials, with tiered pricing… and they are “bundling”. So it’s going to end up like having 4 cable subscriptions!
Bob has been watching Fox News and using Twitter, something no one else on the show will do, since they all love their echo chambers. Guess who he’s following?
The preceding paragraph has been a blatant example of “trolling”.
Andrew Rivers hops on to visit with his very long hair. Dad tries to bait him with how tough it is to be a white male in comedy. Andrew artfully dodges that land mine. His revenge is when he explains to his Dad that the “Twin Peaks” Restaurant that he and Mom wandered into in Nevada has nothing to do with the ancient TV show shot in North Bend, WA.
We close the podcast with a very tacky Twisted Tune about a restaurant similar to Twin Peaks.
Now that we’re streaming live, listeners get to comment in real time (or you can still use email to show@bobandzip.com).
Coming soon: listeners video calling in live.
Dev Note: We’re not yet pushing video episodes to the Podcast distribution services, as we’ve still a couple issues to work out. Regardless, you can find this and all future Livestream/video episodes on YouTube, at
https://www.youtube.com/@BobRiversshow under ‘Videos’ or the ‘Live’ tabs.

Testing 1 2 3. Nothing exciting here folks. We’re publishing a quick little video to track and verify distribution and where’s available.
This will be removed from the feed.
Bob and Zip start the show with a delightful conversation with Downtown Joe Bryant, who has just returned from Las Vegas.
Zip talks with Joe about what he does for a living… empowering the next generation of broadcasters.
Is most audio content moving to add video, as we are planning to do? Joe says yes, but he needs a little time to get in shape for TV.
And we talk on purpose about Donald Trump (something we usually try to avoid). Topic: Is Fox News depriving him of political oxygen? Is the Republican establishment trying to squash him? Is he finished politically?
At this point Spike O’Neill joins the conversation and a hilarious hour ensues.
Has Taylor Swift reached superstar status, on the order of Elvis, Frank Sinatra and The Beatles? Side note: Bob feels totally screwed over by Ticketmaster.
How to fix Concert Ticket Sales once and for all, and why it will never happen.
Bob recommends a Hulu TV Show that he was reluctant to watch. Pam and Tommy has plenty of raw sex, and yes they don’t shy away from Tommy’s huge Rooster.
Joe reminds us that he has a part in #3 new Netflix show!
We close with what we're grateful for in 2022, and the definitive Thanksgiving Twisted Tune, "It's The Most Fattening Time Of The Year", featuring Richard Simmons.
Tami Asars has finished the triple crown of long distance hiking, having just completed the Appalachian Trail (2,194.3 miles). She's also hiked The Pacific Crest Trail (2,650 miles), and the Continental Divide Trail (3,100 miles).
Spike compares her to Forrest Gump, which believe it or not, is high praise from him!
We review the number one lesson to be learned in the outdoors (spoiler alert: Delayed Gratification)..
What is your Lizard Brain, and why do Political Ads only appeal to your primitive emotions? Bob recommends a brilliant book written by noted UW neurobiologist John Medina: Brain Rules for Work: the science of thinking smarter in the office and at home. Only buy this if you want to make your Lizard Brain nervous.
Why Bob has always preferred Jay Leno over other late night TV hosts. (We wish him a speedy recovery).
Zip, Bob and Spike all loved someone the media loved to hate this week. What everyone got wrong about Dave Chappelle's SNL monologue.
Bob has decided to embrace “both-sides-ism”, which is saying "both sides lie" when one side lies prolifically and shamelessly and the other side tells smaller lies. It's a crazy idea of course. Saying all lies need to be pointed out. It is clearly why Bob has no friends.
We talk about "Nuance", and why many people lack the ability to detect it. Zip defines it perfectly, and this sends Spike into a comedic frenzy.
We close with a song dedicated to Tami Asars.
Is Fox News throwing Donald Trump under the bus and then running over him repeatedly? And how is it that we are all so neatly divided into 49 point something percent against 49 point something percent?
And why are we unable to vote electronically? Literally the entire world's banking is done that way?
Bob and Lisa boycotted live television this week, watching a buzz worthy series on Apple TV.
We buy more and more things online, sight unseen. Like furniture. Bob and Lisa picked out something online that looked "great" in the photos. Some of you who've tried online dating know how the photo can be misleading.
Bob also has a confession, something he feels pretty guilty about.
Ed Kelly gets a different kid of acting gig. He might be putting Santa out of business.
We close with Blue Oyster Cult recorded in Bob's Garage in the early 90's.
Elon Musk might just know what he’s doing with Twitter.
Canada freezes gun sales, so do we care?
Starbucks is the McDonalds of Coffee.
Amazon has a new season of the popular show Bosch, with a twist. It has commercials! Bob is surprised that he and Lisa don’t mind. Are commercials the future of streaming tv?
Ed reminisces about his stay at Casa De Rivers. Why Bob and Lisa moved to Las Vegas, and why they love it.
If you label something as milk, should it come from something that has teats?
Zip warns us to look out for Javelinas.
Spike has paid rent on a storage unit for a million years. They finally got rid of it, sort of.
We close with a rare recording: Randy Bachman playing 'Taking Care of Business' live in Bob's Garage.
Why do some people get their panties in a bunch over drag performers? Spike wants to untwist them for you.
Tami Asars has completed about 1,800 miles of the 2,200 mile Appalachian trail, and is she getting tired?
Ed gets stranded at an airport. Does his version of events sound plausible? We're taking an informal poll.
Some people don't respond well to text. Not mentioning any names, Zip.
Algorithms and Data collection are sometimes wonderful, but remember they are a business model… Is Bob paranoid or are they really out to get you (to buy shit)?
We close with a Twisted Tune written largely by Spike, and a song about a puppy that made Bob happy during difficult times.
This week's show is really the Spike and Ed show, while Bob and Zip are entertained. Spike riffs with Ed Kelly's character impressions. You'll be convinced we know Sam Elliot.
Spike loves confessing that he burned his childhood home to the ground, and his therapist says that explains a lot.
Bob tries to figure out why he and Lisa are nomads, having moved into their 10th home in 40 years.
Turns out we are all listening to deep album cuts these days, thanks to on-demand playlists, and rediscovering great songs we've forgotten is one of the benefits.
Bob hears a Jethro Tull song that sounds remarkably like one of the Eagles biggest hits. Did the Eagles steal Hotel California?
As the show closes, Zip wonders why misinformation is so readily believed. A fairly serious discussion.
Comedian Bo Burnham explains how the world works. Buy his album! It's pure genius.

Trying to decide on our nicknames, Narcoleptic Ed is easy- he overslept again, and joins Bob and Zip late. Tin Foil Bob believes in only the real conspiracies, and does not like the term “Woke”. Zip has always had a Porn-stache, he explains why. We read letters from listeners, who pull no punches about what […]
Ed Kelly’s mysterious disappearance explained. Alexa is in the news, and Bob refuses to talk to a Fem Bot. The Jeep Cherokee is the next Cancel Culture target. Texas has seceded from the power grid.. and how far would you go to get vaccinated? We close with a cultural warning for old white guys, and […]
A bit of a mystery tonight. Ed Kelly is AWOL. Bob worries when something like this happens, just like a parent whose kid is out past curfew. Could it be Crime? Drugs? (Ed is in Detroit, just sayin). Speaking of kids, Andrew calls from the broom closet of Tacoma Comedy Club. Bob and Zip talk […]
Ed just parted with a vintage piece of electronics that has sentimental value, and he feels a sense of loss. Bob bought a 1947 Ford once, not realizing that antique cars should belong to someone who knows how to fix cars. Rick Lovrovich of Apple Jam is our special guest… performing this weekend at a […]
Bob, Spike & Joe talk for a solid half hour with Kaci Aitchison, on being our Newsgal and Cohost, quitting, then becoming the Q13 Fox Morning News Anchor. She’s now with Valve Software, quickly becoming a Video game PR star. We try to cover as much inside baseball as listeners have requested, plus the behind […]
You’ll get a charge out of Bob Zip and Ed talking about electricity, and how all of the big tech companies are becoming media empires and banks. But don’t touch that dial, you’ll love Spike’s parody of Bruce Springsteen talking about his Superbowl Commercial. Joe is about to head back to full time in person […]
Bob has 2 TV shows you should binge. One will raise your consciousness about a tough part of the world where conflict mining occurs (think Blood Diamonds, only this is something every man woman and nearly every child in America uses every day without knowing people die for it). The other is a brilliant light […]
A High School Girl gets tasered. Is that an automatic bad thing, or do the circumstances matter? Bob Zip and Ed each see it differently. We’re trying to wean ourselves from Politics, not very successfully. Anyone else trying to quit cold turkey? Spike solves the “teen” taser problem, and Joe describes his iron-clad Covid avoidance […]
RobinHood the sequel in 2021 is not a movie. It’s a stock trading app that lures you in. GM changes its logo, and says it’s going to go all electric right away… as in 2 decades from now. This has combustion engine lovers feeling jilted. Andrew remembers when his dad taught him a valuable lesson.. […]
Now you have to wear two masks? Does it feel like the number of us trying not to get Covid is shrinking? We interview a doctor from a small town that boasts a 100% vaccination rate. A show Bob highly recommends on Apple TV, “For All Mankind”. It’s a different kind of historical drama. What […]
What a difference a day makes. Bob and Ed reminisce about Radio’s Golden age – happy and upbeat radio jingles. It was a peaceful medium before talk radio turned it into a giant food fight. Dr Fauci joins in as he can finally speak his mind…. and we are adjusting to the new political landscape […]
It’s Inauguration Day, 2021, and we’re hoping for peace and healing. Ed has his harmonica, and we can’t help but sing. A mega merger has created the world’s 4th largest car company: Stellantis. Just when we were hoping to be less divisive, the Vaccination Envy has begun. Downtown Joe weighs in (literally) on why he […]
Tonight we find out that Ed Kelly grew up poor. Not “We only had 2 televisions poor.” It’s a touching side of this famous voice actor that his family couldn’t afford to go to the movies. So he never saw Mary Poppins. Bob explains why he easily relates to very stupid people. And Andrew Rivers […]
Bob and Zip with Ed Kelly process the insurrection and Spike and Joe join in for a wild ride into overtime. Several Gorillas test positive for coronavirus at the San Diego Zoo… you won’t believe what’s next. We interview a business owner who is struggling to stay afloat in these crazy times. Bob tries at […]
So many special guests (all Ed Kelly) weighing in on our discussion of how we empathize and heal our differences. God drops in. Actually 2 different Gods. Andrew Rivers wrote a joke that Bob thinks is brilliant- and scary. And a girl he met on Tinder is now starring on the Bachelor! Greatest Twisted Tune […]
A Happy New Year Doubleheader with Bob, Zip and Ed first half.. Spike and Joe are our special guests for the second half of the show! We start with the strange story of a very famous actress. She’s beautiful, successful, rich, and you’ve probably seen her on a dozen great shows. Bob and Lisa currently […]
Special Holiday edition for the Bob and Zip Show featuring Keith and Andrew in Los Angeles. Lots of generational differences. Keith has a neighbor so famous that he’s got Billions of YouTube views and has played on the Super Bowl Halftime Show, but Keith did not know that, and since it’s not a Classic Rocker […]
As we get ready to say goodbye to 2020 (hopefully), has anyone given thought that there will be a peaceful transfer from 2020 to 2021? We have. There’s a new mutation of Coronavirus in the UK, but Bob has next week’s news this week (Don’t look under the bed). And Spike and Joe hang for […]
Tap tap.. this thing on? Hehe.. as we mentioned we’re working on migrating ‘The Bob and Zip Show with Ed Kelly’ to video.. or plus-video. Check out our first (rough and unpolished) publish test #1.. with Andrew Rivers & Spike O’Neill .. and special guest, Dr. D. Mentia! We’ll be squishing bugs and refining our […]
Bob and Lisa celebrate their 39th anniversary today. We get a bit mushy about it. There’s a new psychological disorder sweeping the nation, and prominent professor of human interaction Dr Dean Menchia explains how you can spot the signs. Big news for the Podcast, with video coming soon (Don’t worry, you can still close your […]
Recorded Live in Massachusetts, Vermont, Detroit and Seattle. This action packed show features Gift Giving ideas, Zip’s last minute Christmas Tragedy, and Bob’s disdain for Amazon Gift Registry. It gets wild in the 2nd half, as Spike and Joe reunite. Joe went ‘Tee Vee’ shopping for his Dad (Joe’s 10 year old set still works […]
If you liked Marvelous Mrs Maisell, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, you might like the quirky comedy Bob and Lisa are watching on Netflix. Should Facebook Social Media Monopoly be broken up? We harken back to both AT&T and Microsoft antitrust cases. Andrew Rivers is back to staying home during the 3rd wave, and has a […]
Is it wrong for artists to license their compositions for Movies and Ads? Bob Dylan has sold his songs for 300 Million dollars, which has us wondering which products will use them in commercials. You will wonder no more, after this show. (.. and we got our hands on a few commerial promo’s using Bob […]
Which mask is the best? Bob, Zip and Ed are Mask-Debators, with the facts on what you should do to keep as safe as possible. Plus, a realistic timetable for when you might really get the vaccine. Zip is so impressed with the NFL fake crowd noises… forget Fake News, we’re all bamboozled by “Fake […]
Rarely do all three of us agree on anything, but Bob Zip and Ed Kelly have all devoured the Netflix mini series “The Queen’s Gambit”. No spoilers, but high praise. Bob enjoys every historical docudrama these days, largely because they make us forget about 2020. It’s Zip’s Birthday- Dr Fauci personally wishes him many more. […]
We’re recording live from Vermont, Detroit, Massachusetts, and California. Special treat for the first five to listen to the end: A free Twisted Christmas APP (iPhone only). It’s our Post Turkey pow wow. Bob is talking politics with a hard core right wing friend again. We’ve already dialed back the divisiveness. Dr Fauci reminds us […]
Masks Masks everywhere… Bob drives through Vermont, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. In Boston, every single person is wearing a mask, even outside. It’s a mandate. And yet… many Americans have had it up to here with being told how not to die. They are willing to risk it all for a dinner and a tryptophan […]
It’s the third wave, and we try to do 2 things- Honest conversation about how we’re handling it, and some actual educational information. Not too serious, since we’re visited by the Ghost of Regis Philbin. None of us really know what a messenger RNA Vaccine is… Bob has some basic info he found on the […]
We talk about coronavirus first, as it’s hitting our friends and families. Bob is reading Breitbart a lot, and found a completely factual article with very little spin. Did you know Dolly Parton helped develop the Covid Vaccine? Is it time to horde supplies again? And of course, the Trump sport of claiming without evidence […]
Zip has the perfect solution to quickly settling all court cases regarding the 2020 Election; ‘Supreme Court-TV’. We take you back to the future. It’s late 90’s and remember how scared we were back then about Y2K?? Hear some audio that will blow your mind; Donald Trump on Jay Leno, 1999 And Buckle-Up.. Andrew Rivers […]
Warning Label: This podcast will serve as an election enema. We start with a flashback, in hopes that you’ll see just how silly we are. The spirit of Walter Cronkite visits, to remind us of a time when news was polite. We look on the bright side… no person has engaged more of our citizens in […]
Recorded at noon on 11/06 as the election results get very close to being called, we take on the issues.. caring about each other, and some mild gloating. Hearsay, fake news, misinformation.. lies & bullshit! – how can anyone know wtf is true anymore? (Facebook, of course!) Ed is out today, so Spike O’Neill joins […]
A rollicking good time this Podcast is nearly live (Recorded noon November 4), as we face uncertainty over the next dew days. A group hug for everyone as votes are counted. Triage performed on expectations, and perhaps we can learn a lesson or 2 from our silly assumptions. You won’t want to miss Spike O’Neill who joins us midstream […]
Spike O’Neill joins in to help us dissect the “Cancel Culture”, a friend of ours (Dori Monson) return to the airwaves after a tweet misfire.. sexual identity/preference, and Oreo’s ‘Rainbow Fence’ commercial. We fondly talk about Huey Lewis, Kenny G, and Weird Al (Bob’s nemesis.. uncomfortable interviews). Bob compares the election panic to Y2K (hopefully […]
Ed Kelly is out sick, so Special Guest ‘Mitch McConnell’ fills in and is very candid with us! A plug for a very special book by a wonderful brain scientist: Brain Rules for Aging Well, by John Medina. Andrew Rivers is not afraid of the big bad virus, he’s flying and doing comedy in Austin […]
We’re late recording this week, so ‘Dennis Leary’ flips us all some grief. We talk about the Christians and the Lions, and who you root for. Rock news about The Beatles, AC/DC, and Phil Collins; How do you marry the same person twice, when the first divorce cost 46 Million Dollars? And Fast Food relapse… […]
Recommended viewing if you think things were never as screwed up as they are now: Aaron Sorkin directs Sasha Baron Cohen and Michael Keaton in “The Trial of The Chicago 7”. Do you know who Dr Lester Grinspoon was? If you miss John Lennon and don’t miss Richard Nixon this story is for you. Plus, […]
Ed Kelly does a Dr. Smith impression (Lost In Space) which brings back embarrassing memories. The Troll in Chief promotes QAnon because they don’t like pedophilia- while at the same time saying he’s “Not Up To Speed”. Best-Troll-Of-All-Time. Lots of people are moving to Maine from New York City- but if you want to move […]
Bob fell off the Facebook wagon, started debating people (politely) about politics. Can’t believe Donald Trump was last on the Vermont ballot, AFTER Kanye West. We take edited Dr Fauci audio () and create ads for all kinds of products he wouldn’t endorse… and a Sex Toy has a security breach- we don’t own one […]
Crazy times… Ed’s in Detroit, and his governor was almost overthrown by a right wing militia group… so it’s a little hard to pretend things are normal. At least there’s an undisputed lighthearted moment from the VP debate: A Common Housefly. Ghislaine Maxwell hires a new attorney… you’ll never guess. Could the Catholic Church be […]
Requiem for a guitar God. Eddie Van Halen departs too soon. Heaven gets an awesome guitarist. Bob shares his meeting Eddie- and what he really thought of his Twisted Tune: Just a Big Ego! Are you a list person? How do you keep track of your “To Do” stuff? Movies are getting tired of being […]
The Social Dilemma on Netflix is causing some to cancel their Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts… We take up the discussion: Is it destroying society? Do you know what Machine Learning is? How fast computers get smarter, while we do not. Can your ego handle the truth? Of course there’s still a little debate stink […]
We recorded today’s episode after watching the Trump-Biden debate for 1 hour… We TRY not to be divisive. Facebook attacks its musician members, which is not cool. Exclusive October Surprise, we interview “Deep Gopher”, the groundskeeper at Mar A Lago. Then a surprise visit from Spike O’Neill, who we thank for taking time out of […]
‘Rush Limbaugh’ makes fun of us Libtards, ‘Dr Fauci’.. on being on the cover of Time Magazine. We take a moment to compare our current troubles to some not-so awesome human history. Bob is trying hard not to give away too many plot points of the Netflix/Starz show “Outlander”. As soon as the pandemic is […]
The Notorious RBG will be replaced faster than you can say Stormy Daniels, and senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell joins us for some frank talk. Today is Dogs In Politics day, thanks to Richard Nixon. And don’t buy anything from Facebook Advertisers: Scam Alert. Comedian Andrew Sleighter (Conan, Dry Bar Comedy, Comedy Central etc) tells […]
Facebook and Google know every intimate detail there is to know about you- and they prove it with targeted ads. Bob politely tells a story that starts in Mexico. Can you believe that McDonalds thinks people want to sleep with McNuggets? If you prefer sleeping with the fishes… a new Godfather movie awaits. And what […]
When West Coast fires make the air hazy in Vermont and Massachusetts, we know it’s bad in Seattle. We check the AQI index website. Hearts go out to anyone who breathes oxygen. ‘Dr Fauci’ congratulates Vermont on it’s stellar Covid-19 track record. Ed has worked with Drew Barrymore- inside scoop, she’s no “Ellen”.. we’ve got […]
Lo and Behold Special guest Spike O’Neill joins in for a heartwarming visit… and we speak to the head of research at AstraZeneca about Phase 3 trial, ‘Dr. Gene Zuntheit’! We celebrate National Make Your Bed Day today… a very personal holiday. A hearty recommendation for a Netflix Show, with enough episodes to get you […]
We all share our beliefs on Theology, The Big Bang, and a movie you should catch on Netflix, though it’s not a ‘feel good’ flick. “Spotlight” is about Pedophilia in the Catholic Church.. And per that.. an (in-)appropriate Twisted Tune, ‘The Catholic Priest Song‘ Divine Design? Is this a podcast or a NPR on Mushrooms? […]
There is some good news about Covid-19 almost hidden in between all the finger pointing and click-bait. Dr Fauci’s vocal cords sound better after his surgery so Ed has adjusted his impression. And Harry and Megan are Netflix Royals now- we have the inside scoop on what that exactly means. Guest Comedian Phillip Kopczynski lives […]
A Very Special Bob and Zipcast today… Legendary Comedian Christopher Titus is Podcasting (ChristopherTitus.com/podcast and wherever you stream) and has so many comedy central specials we've lost count. Chris joins us for a rollicking half hour… Great play off Ed's 'Rush' & 'Mitch', and why Andrew Rivers was the ideal protégé! Zip asks, "When did […]
We’re all a little politics weary, but there are some angles we can’t avoid. Should Biden debate Trump? Bob has a great idea about that! Anti mask passenger mows down a flight attendant, we reminisce about the evolution of that job. Remember Stewardesses? Will anti-vaccination folks get the flu or even covid shots? Bob just […]
Zip calls the RNC convention the “Greatest Show On Earth”, but Bob is tuning out both parties this year. FAKE NEWS ALERT: A story went viral this morning about a cure for Covid “Ivermectin”, Google it. It’s basically bogus. We look up the word Prostitute, to see what it means when it’s not about sex. […]
Bob waxes existentialism as we all avoid watching the democratic convention… Instead we talk about how strange it is to be living in a reality show- when Ed Kelly spontaneously erupts into song Zip brands Ed “The Peter Pan of Podcasts”… Plus: A cure for hangovers which none of us need anymore.. And comedian Andrew […]
Crazy adlib with Ed Kelly on fire as Dennis Miller and Regis Philbin… Covid-19 moving up the charts to #3 leading causes of death.. and Kasey Casem counts it down! Your support is appreciated, thank you for listening! Visit our Patreon
