Guys. I had my first internet troll!

I learned some things from Gare-Bear, though. I'm actually grateful for his comment!

I want to start a movement: #dontbeagary. As in... let's not "bleed on people who didn't cut us". As in... if something about someone else's lifestyle/beliefs/behavior is getting a rise out of you, it's an opportunity to ask yourself "why? Why does it bug me so much?" '

If you're so activated by someone else's post/content/story/etc that you're going to take the time to leave an unhelpful comment, then maybe don't. Maybe, instead, turn that energy back toward yourself. Transmute it. Focus more on your own healing than someone else's stuff that's getting you all riled up.

Triggers are clues.

Follow them.

Between 1-10, how would you rate the level of peace you feel inside?

What is your overall life satisfaction rating?

I sense that humanity is yearning for a deeper sense of fulfillment.

We're craving quality.

Quality connections.

Quality experiences.

Quality options.

Quality.

Of.

Life.

We want more meaningful connections.

We want more connection, period.

If we are to achieve a better quality of life, then ...

Healing is no longer an option.

What does that mean?

How do we do it?

Listen in and let's talk about it!

Do you ever feel like it's all or nothing? If you can't ______ entirely, then it's not worth doing anything at all?

This "all-or-nothing" mentality is probably the reason you're not seeing forward motion in your life.

The opposite of "all-or-nothing" is the Compound Effect (Darren Hardy's principle). Little by little, it all adds up. It's all adding up without you thinking about it, which can be working against you. Your negative thoughts add up until they become your default way of thinking. An extra snack at bedtime adds up and can look like an additional weight gain at the end of the month or year. Conversely, just an extra 8 ounces of water at the end of a meal can add up to 1/3 or 1/2 of your water goal. An extra $10/wk in savings = $520 a year.

It's all always adding up. How about we make it ADD UP FOR US, rather than silently compounding and keeping us imprisoned? When we say YES to one thing, we say NO to another. Let's be intentional and stack our actions in a more helpful way, yes?

"I don't know why I'm so lazy!"

"I know I should..."

"I know what to do, I just don't do it."

I want to offer you a thought. WHAT IF.... What if I told you that I don't think you're lazy at all? What if I could tell you how to motivate yourself?

*Heavily influenced by my own mentor, Andrea Crowder, this week's Wkly Wisdom Drop is going to blow your mind!

This concept is extracted from Regulate, a program that saved my ass in 2022. I couldn't eat, I felt like a lump was in my throat, I was sleeping for shit, I was at risk for making mistakes at work (as a nurse this is not ideal)... If you want to experience a mindset overhaul firsthand, I'd love to hook you up.

We wouldn't expect a Tesla to get us from NYC to LA without stopping and recharging, would we? Why then, do we subscribe to the "Hustle and Grind" culture?

I'm starting a movement... REVOLUTION! Let's all nap when we need to. Saturday afternoon with a To Do list a mile long but your eyes are heavy and your body is screaming at you for a break? Rest.

Monday night and you promised Girl's Night but your legs are throbbing and you feel overstimulated? Rest.

Permission to listen to your body: GRANTED!

Rest is a right, not a privilege.

Are you a human being or a human doing?

When was the last time you looked yourself in the eye and said "wow, I'm f*cking proud of me!"?

In this week's episode, I'm empowering you to Pause & Praise yourself. We look back only to marvel at how far we've come. Take a deep breath. Praise. Trust and believe that everything you've lived through and conquered has led you to where you are now. You're on your way. That got you to this and this is getting you to your next level.

A riff that began while my wheels were turning as I walked through my neighborhood ... don't mind the huffing and puffing.

It is my intention that you glean some nuggets from this:

  • don't create problems that don't exist

  • it's all adding up all the time

  • nervous system regulation is your ticket to freedom

  • we assign meaning to things

  • The Compound Effect is always in play

  • discern who you let speak 'truth' over your life -- your energy is precious!

If you're interested in booking a 1:1 session, now is the perfect time. It's always the perfect time to feel more relaxed, less intensity around real-life issues (ex-husband probs, parents overstepping boundaries, mom stress, money, friendships that may be crunchy) and I can help you feel lighter and more clear in 60 mins or less.

DM me on the socials or contact me at www.alignwithbre.com.

An uplifting riff (noun): an often brief audio or video clip with a motivational, inspirational, and/or empowering message.

"I'm really doing the damn thing!" I said as I left my son's school, midday. I have the freedom (4 out of 7 days of the week) to surprise him by dropping his shoes off at school (which I'd just done). I pulled into the garage and began unloading groceries and the words started pouring out of me... Intuition told me to record the words and well, here we are! I hope it resonates. And if not? There are many other episodes and at least one is sure to float your boat. xo

I received an intuitive message (a reminder, really) that I want to share: when our wounds are revealed to us, we can heal them. (Obviously!)

What if we took an approach of being grateful for the challenges we face?

What if we embraced the "shit sandwiches" in our lives, trusting that it is all happening FOR US?

Listen to this week's wisdom drop to shift your perspective out of "why me" and into "thank you for this opportunity"!

13 years ago today, I was pulled over while on my way to the public library to do my taxes. I was driving my son's dad's beat up Oldsmobile Cutlass and thought that was the reason for the flashing lights.

Uh.... if I did, do you think I'd be traveling in a conspicuous vehicle?

When I woke up not feeling the fire in my belly, per se, but rather aloof.  Just ... here.  I wanted to feel jazzed up.  I wanted the sunshine to ignite that feel-good fire.  Then this question came through: "how can I use this energy to my advantage?"

Something I've been asking myself lately is "how can I transmute this energy?"  I've also made that a prayer I've been praying: "God/Angels/Universe, please transmute this energy and help me turn it into something for my good."

I hope this episode speaks to you!  And if it does, would you consider rating the Own Your Life podcast?  Sharing with a friend or on social?  I'd be forever grateful!

Taken from a FB/IG Live in spring of 2022, I riff on what an elevated posture on social media looks like during a messy-ish breakup.  This potent quickie also touches on the point of other people's opinions about you and what they are or are not.  This blew my mind when I re-listened almost 10 months later!  You're going to get a lot out of this one.

On a cloudy and intermittently snowy day in November, 2022, I had an interesting realization.  My fingernails and the care and choices I made with them has evolved over this year.  It is my hope that you enjoy the overarching theme of examining a belief and choosing whether or not it still fits.  Along with that, I feel this little riff also speaks to the ability to allow yourself space to change preferences and opinions as you continue to heal and evolve.

Enjoy!  And if you feel so compelled, I'd love it if shared or rated the Own Your Life podcast.  It is my joy and honor to be able to speak my truths with the intention of empowering and equipping you on your journey.  For that, I thank you.

This week is a quickie, but I want to challenge you to see things a bit differently... asking questions gets our brains to look for solutions rather than accepting things at face value.  Ask yourself "where do I already have the resources?".  Or, if you're feeling like you're not highly resourced around one matter or area of your life, look for other ways where you are highly resourced in a different area.  This creates proof for the brain that you are able to make connections and come up with creative solutions.  Simply shifting your focus and attention can free up mental space to be able to come up with something new and solve your problem.  It's all about perspective, babe!

This is an episode you won't want to miss! Mackenzie, a young woman from Central Iowa, found herself with a life-altering injury in August, 2021. Listen in as she recalls the accident, the days and weeks following, and how she credits MINDSET with her recovery.

Mackenzie sustained a spinal cord injury on Aug. 5, 2021, and has had to adapt every facet of her life to accommodate her new set of wheels. I am so grateful for her willingness to take us on the journey of her recovery. She credits her support system and her mantras for her ability to adapt and overcome. Post-interview parting thoughts from Mackenzie include "your body responds to your words" and when she's feeling discouraged or hits a wall in therapy, she tells herself "this is where you get stronger". Thank you for blazing a trail for us, Mackenzie. Love and light to you now and always.
