Throughout this conversation we mainly go through the differences between how we interface and compute the matter of confidence versus psychological competence (and vice versa)

There is an immense difference between ''having a better opinion'' and ''wanting to be right''.

If we remain inattentive about that difference, unwilling to understand its dynamics.. manage and eliminate them; we'll likely get more and more prone to cling to the pleasure that derives from ''being right'', to then derange away up to the development of the easy addiction to that mere idea and desire of ''being right''. At that point our ''psychological universe'' will drag itself more and more far away from the real thing, and from reason too. That's how ideological thinking begins after all.

LSS: do we mainly focus on being accurate or do we mainly focus on chasing the pleasure we take from being right? If we focus more on the first, then we are interested in ''psychological competence'', which is intelligence. If we focus more on the second, we are more interested in acquiring confidence, and mainly that's limbically driven dopamine seeking, which so often corrupts intelligence and prevents higher order thinking skills..

The Serious Thinking Podcast. Episode 1 (Full). 'The Mind Killers'

This is an in depth, serious and educational conversation with a victim of psycho-emotional abuse (please listen it until the end). The episode highlights why is important not to remain silent regarding abusive situations, whether they involve physical violence or emotional destruction or both. The episode does not limit itself to the mere process of ''rising awareness'' but also explores what can be done about this so common problem in terms of analytical reasoning, constructive propositions and refinement of our thinking skills!

It is important to highlight how this is a genderless conversation and so it has to be. To approach this problem intelligently, the so common duality between ''men and women'', which is unfortunately so often conditioned by unnecessary ideological narratives, tends to interfere. That interference has to be avoided: certainly women suffer more of physical abuses than men, but the reality of having dynamics where men abuse women and women abusing men is de facto genderless, meaning: some humans abuse humans, regardless of the genders!

Throughout the conversation I also share my personal experience I had to go through with abusive patterns, vexatious minds, cyber slander, and all the rest of that lovely package.

The conversation also touches important topics that are related to psycho-social factors that paradoxically enough are capable of feeding the propensity to allow abusive patterns to happen.

The dangerousness of the so-called ''positive psychology'' for instance, or the sneakiness of certain parts of the Judeo-Christian mentality we all western people are conditioned with and that nourishes acritical desires of being ''good people'' for example, and certainly the ''New Age'' approach and its toxic flaws that involve absurd philosophies such as ''unconditional love'', ''letting go'', unsound forgiveness and ''love is the answer'' unintelligent mantras.
