In this half hour documentary, Jacque, who had just turned 101 years old(!), lets the audience see through his brilliant mind and into his compassionate heart, which was a fountain of overflowing love and respect for all living things and the precious Earth we call home.
After watching the full documentary, Jacque will leave you feeling as if you had just sat with your kind, loving grandfather who shared with you his life’s work. As he hands over the keys to solving society’s problems just before he passes, his hope is clearly that you will see his plans through to fruition for the benefit of all. As this passionate man obviously devoted his life to designing something much more nurturing, harmonious, and sustainable for humanity, it seems the least we can do for him, his legacy, and our future, is to see his designs move from conceptualization to realization.

We should not blame anybody on this planet for their behavior. Factors in our environment mainly determine our behavior. Countless influences throughout our lives build our character. A common enemy is not only at our door, but could infiltrate in through our loved ones. All that people can do now is to take desperate preventive measures to mitigate the threat of a violent intruder possibly devastating their lives.
We are observing governments around the world reacting erratically to the threat, because the system we currently live in is far too overconfident and underprepared for events such as these.
A healthcare system that focuses on supporting the sick, instead of being integrated and interacting with every part of the system we live in (keeping healthy people healthy), will only be able to have a weak reactive stance rather than a vigorous preventive one.
Historically speaking we have improved through the years in awareness and vaccines, but ... still not good enough.... Why?

Canary in the Mine: A Thought on the Economic Crisis by Theofilos Chaldezos
We are justifiably frightened of what tomorrow may bring. Many of us wake up wondering how life will be even in just a few months, once again living in uncertainty. With highly inadequate practices, governments are making decisions to prematurely relax their lockdowns in a desperate attempt to soften the blow to their economies, using their populations as a kind of “canary in the mine.”
Others, like the European Union, are giving “aid” to their member states in the form of loans, further increasing their debt, which the public will have to bear in possible future unemployment, bankruptcy, pay and pension pay cuts, and other malevolent consequences in an attempt to further drive the neoliberal agenda.

War is the supreme failure of bridging the differences between nations, according to the creator of a social model called "the Venus Project" American futurist and inventor Jacque Fresco.
Futurist and Legendary Creator Jacque Fresco travels from Florida to London to discuss The Venus Project, his candid conversation with Albert Einstein as a young boy, what happened with Peter Joseph and The Zeitgeist Movement, how the Great Depression developed his mindset, and what he would do if elected President of the United States.
The opportunity to sit down with Peter Joseph is a unique chance to capture a moment in time with one of the great thinkers of our generation. His first breakthrough film "Zeitgeist: The Movie" in 2007 was an unexpected success and he founded The Zeitgeist Movement on the back of his 2nd film "Zeitgeist: Addendum." Peter proceeded to release two additional films and produced a satirical Web series called Culture in Decline.
Engineering a leaderless movement is a conundrum itself, which is why Peter rarely does interviews and instead prefers to let the movement ideals speak for themselves. I still remember the day in August 2012 when Futurist Jacque Fresco and his partner Roxanne Meadows of the Venus Project came to our studios for London Real episode #47. After accepting my offer to pick them up I headed off to Waterloo station with camera crew in tow to record the arrival of one of our century's great thinkers.
After nearly getting arrested by the transit authority for recording video in a public station, I was soon struck by the resilience of Jacque Fresco: this man of 96 years demonstrated a quick wit and a mind sharp as a tack.
For the next hour we were left alone with Jacque (thank you for trusting us Roxanne) and explored everything from his relationship with Peter Joseph of the Zeitgeist Movement to his thoughts on the Resource Based Economy to the basic tenets of the Venus Project. Little did we know that this episode would soon become one of our most popular and defining episodes of London Real with over 200,000 views.

The Venus Project proposes an alternative vision of what the future can be if we apply what we already know in order to achieve a sustainable new world civilization. It calls for a straightforward redesign of our culture in which the age-old inadequacies of war, poverty, hunger, debt and unnecessary human suffering are viewed not only as avoidable, but as totally unacceptable. Anything less will result in a continuation of the same catalog of problems inherent in today's world.

The term and meaning of a Resource-Based Economy was originated by Jacque Fresco. It is a holistic social and economic system in which all goods and services are available without the use of money, credits, barter or any other system of debt or servitude. All resources become the common heritage of all of the inhabitants, not just a select few. The premise upon which this system is based is that the Earth is abundant with plentiful resources; our practice of rationing resources through monetary methods is irrelevant and counterproductive to our survival.
Modern society has access to highly advanced technology and can make available food, clothing, housing, and medical care; update our educational system; and develop a limitless supply of renewable, non-contaminating energy. By supplying an efficiently designed economy, everyone can enjoy a very high standard of living with all of the amenities of a high technological society.
A resource-based economy would utilize existing resources from the land and sea, physical equipment, industrial plants, etc. to enhance the lives of the total population. In an economy based on resources rather than money, we could easily produce all of the necessities of life and provide a high standard of living for all.
Jacque discusses "what is depression?" and talks about elements of self-image and identification that produces low self-sufficiency. Covers how projections create disappointment, how "looking within" rarely works, and shows how specific reward/reinforcements often provide only palliative help. Discusses the importance of learning new things and gaining predictability when dealing with depression.

While we appear to be technically advanced, our values and behaviors are not. The possibility of an optimistic future is in stark contrast to our current social, economic, and environmental dilemmas. The Choice Is Ours includes interviews with notable scientists, media professionals, authors, and other thinkers exploring the difficulties we face. Part I provides an introduction and overview of cultural & environmental conditions that are untenable for a sustainable world civilization. It explores the determinants of behavior to dispel the myth of “human nature” while demonstrating how the environment shapes behavior. The science of behavior is an important - yet largely missing - ingredient in our culture. Part II questions the values, behaviors, and consequences of our social structures, and illustrates how our global monetary system is obsolete and increasingly insufficient to meet the needs of most people. Critical consideration of the banking, media, and criminal justice systems reveals these institutions for what they really are: tools of social control managed by the established political and economic elite. If we stay the present course, the familiar cycles of crime, economic booms & busts, war, and further environmental destruction are inevitable. Part III explains the methods and potential of science. It proposes solutions that we can apply at present to eliminate the use of non-renewable sources of energy. It depicts the vision of The Venus Project to build an entirely new world from the ground up, a “redesign of the culture,” where all enjoy a high standard of living, free of servitude and debt, while also protecting the environment. Part IV explains how it is not just architecture and a social structure that is in desperate need of change, but our values which have been handed down from centuries ago. They too need to be updated to our technological age, which has the potential to eliminate our scarcity-driven societies of today. Our problems are mostly of our own making, but we can still turn things around before the point of no return. It’s not too late for an optimistic outlook on the fantastic possibilities that lie before us.

The film details the need to outgrow the dated and inefficient methods of politics, law, business, or any other "establishment" notions of human affairs, and use the methods of science, combined with high technology, to provide for the needs of all the world's people.
