After a great weekend with family, my focus this week is getting back to the basics.  Getting back to the things I know I need to do to make me feel the way I want to feel.

If you want more peace and happiness in your life you should start by being grateful for what you already have.  This sounds simple and, quite frankly, it is.  Make a list of things you're grateful for and then you'll feel better.

Not quite.

While there's no doubt that gratefulness is a powerful tool in the realm of self-development, I've personally found the idea of simply stating what I'm grateful for on a consistent basis to yield lackluster results - at best.

This episode provides some context what being grateful could actually mean as well as some actionable tips for bringing more of it into your life.  Enjoy!

The more I coach, the more I struggle with the concept of change as it relates to self-development.

Why would we want to force ourselves to do things that take away from our uniqueness as individuals?

Instead, why not focus our efforts on finding areas in life where we are already strong and succesful and applying them to areas where we seek improvement?

This episode focuses on the importance of identifying and optimizing your strengths when approaching challenges in life.  Enjoy!

Many of us spend a majority of our time in the perspective of judgement.  We judge others, we judge ourselves and we judge the circumstances we are in.  This self-perpetuating cycle creates a world of negativity, contention and outright misery.

I'm here to tell you today - empathy is the way out and towards a better life.

Understanding how to properly empathize will allow you to forgive yourself and others for previous mistakes.  It will teach you to let go of the concept of 'tough love' and phrases like 'I told you so!'

Today's episode will teach you the importance of empathy and provide an actionable approach to bringing more of it into your life.  Enjoy!

When a conflict arises, the worst thing you can do is to pretend it doesn't exist.

The second worst thing you can do is assume the other person is 100% at fault.  In fact, the only thing worse than assuming the other person is at fault is to waste your time trying to prove it.

Bottom line, you are approaching conflict the wrong way and this episode will provide actionable steps to get you moving in the right direction.

Giving advice without asking questions is like your waiter bringing you food without taking your order - it just does't make sense. Yet many of us tell others what to do on a daily basis before taking time to understand their situation and motivations.

This episode will teach you how to listen more effectively, ask better questions and help guide others to decisions that truly resonate with them.  Enjoy!

For a majority of my life, I've focused on working hard and believed that my path to success was tied directly to how much harder I worked than others.  Then I read about the Law of Attraction and got confused - "am I now supposed to not work hard at all and just think positively to attract the life I want?"

Then I found Reality Transurfing and realized that there is a method of using both intentional hard work coupled with intentional thinking to truly manifest the life you want.  I've been hooked ever since.

Enjoy today's episode where I dive deep into this with a true expert.

The wiser I get, the less goals I set.

While setting goals can sometimes be useful, I've found that I often spend more time worrying about achieving them than I do actually working towards them.  Over the last few years, I've stepped away from goal setting and into visualization as well as focusing on my trajectory in life.  More recently, I've become engrossed in a concept called Reality Transurfing.

In this episode, I explore all of this and show off my Scottish accent. Enjoy!
