We recently decided to COMPLETELY change our elopement packages. In this episode of Elopements with The Pinckards, we're talking about why we scrapped our old packages and made a change to a completely new, simplified package setup. We also talk about why your elopement day is SO important and how passionate we are about making sure that your elopement is the best day of your life.If you are eloping & want to check out our new package options, you can see them here. You can also read our blog post about eloping on a high peak in the Adirondacks here.Want to elope in New York, but you're not sure where to start? Check out this article about How To Elope in NYS: Step-by-Step
Planning an elopement?
Usually if you're working with a photographer or videographer, there will be some sort of "coverage time" attached to your elopement package with them. You'll have to decide (or at least estimate) how long your elopement will be & how long you'll need that photographer/videographer.
It can be a difficult question to answer, because you probably have never been involved in an elopement before. Plus, elopements aren't as cookie cutter as weddings.
In this episode, we're talking about some things that you can think through as you decide what your elopement will look like & begin working on a timeline.
Need help? Reach out to us if you'd like us to help make your elopement day stress-free, intimate, and meaningful.
Elopements FAQ | Common Questions About ElopingBeing elopement photographers, we get questions all the time about what eloping looks like, how it works, etc. Most people have never experienced an elopement (because, well, they probably haven't been invited to one!), so when they are considering eloping, it can be difficult to visualize it.In this episode, our goal is to share the answers to common questions about eloping, so if you want to elope, it will be easier to get the planning started. Here are some of the questions we talk about:Can you invite guests to your elopement? How do couples hike with their wedding clothes for mountaintop elopements? Can we bring decor, flowers, champagne, etc. if we're eloping? What time of day is best to elope? Can our dogs be included? How do we make our marriage official and legal? What does the elopement ceremony look like? What if there is bad weather?
This is a hard topic for a lot of people to discuss with their friends and family. Some people get offended, some are hurt, some might disapprove. You might be surprised, though, that some of your friends and family will be happy for you when they hear that you're eloping.Based on our experience as elopement photographers and our conversations with couples who have eloped, we are sharing our advice about how to approach the conversation.Elopements are NOT some sort of rebellious way of saying "screw you" to the people you care about. If an elopement is the best thing for you to do on your wedding day, you shouldn't let anyone stop you from doing it.You can be gentle in how you tell people, but always be decisive. Don't let them make you second guess yourself.
Should you elope?Society expects every couple to have a big wedding, but what if that's not right for you?We have talked to so many couples who are thinking about eloping but just can't decide, and here's the thing - elopements aren't for everyone. It's such a momentous occasion in your life, and you should be careful to make the decision that is BEST for you and your soon-to-be spouse. If that's eloping, great. If you want a big wedding, fantastic!Helping you decide: wedding vs elopementEven though we photograph elopements for a living, our goal is never to convince a couple to elope. Our goal is to help couples make the right choice for them. It's YOUR decision. Nobody else's.In this episode, we're talking about some questions that might be helpful as you try to decide if eloping is right for you, some general ideas to consider, and our experience in talking with other couples who have eloped. If you're trying to decide if you should elope, hopefully this will help!
If you're thinking about eloping, but you're not even sure what an elopement looks like... you're not alone.A LOT of people are confused about what it really means to elope, because they've never been to an elopement before. Episode 2: What does an elopement actually look like?A couple main points on today's episode of Elopements with The Pinckards:Elopements do NOT have a specific numerical guest-limit. You can invite some of the people closest to you and still elope.Eloping is more about the mindset than about the details of the day. There are countless things that you can do on your elopement day. Ask yourself, what would be the most exciting for you as a couple? Elopements can't be explained with a cookie-cutter approach!
We are The Pinckards - Adventurous Elopement Photographers! This first episode is all about us: how we met, our wedding, how we got into elopements, etc.If you are eloping (or thinking about eloping), our goal is to help you by providing some insights from our experience with elopements.

Charli D'Amelio posted her first video on TikTok last May (2019), and she now has over 53 million followers. In addition, she has 3.6 billion likes on her TikTok videos, 17 million followers on Instagram, 1.5 million on Twitter, and 3.75 million subscribers on YouTube. Altogether, Charli has a combined following of over 75 million. There are a few takeaways that are really interesting about Charli D'Amelio's success on TikTok. First of all, her production quality is not overly impressive. She films multiple videos in the same outfit with poor video and audio quality, which doesn't fit into the mold of many successful content creators. Especially on YouTube, to gain 3.75 million subscribers in a year, you usually need to have unbelievable production quality. Yet Charli has become a successful social media influencer without fancy equipment or a film crew. Secondly, Charli's success on TikTok has been contagious. Her entire family has built an impressive audience, and it has likely changed all of their lives. Dixie D'Amelio has 22.5 million followers on TikTok, and her video was on the trending page of Google when we recorded this episode. Their parents even have millions of followers on TikTok. Third, Charli is working with an agency that likely helps her receive a significant income through her social media platform. Some estimates, which are largely based off of assumptions and guesswork, suggest that she could be earning upwards of $50,000 per brand deal. As a 16-year-old, that amount of money can easily set her up to retire early if she is smart with it. Lastly, Charli's success on TikTok has already helped her break through to other more impressive audiences. For example, she was recently a guest on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show and The Ellen Show. She has also done collaboration videos with James Charles, a beauty industry influencer, and Noah Schnapp from Stranger Things. Overall, Charli D'Amelio's success on TikTok is impressive and exciting, because it shows that there are still opportunities for talented creatives to become successful by consistently producing content online.
