Got yourself together? Gonna take things higher as DJ's Old-Time Granny and Dyn-O-Mite spin only the rarest, choicest, tastiest soul, funk, and disco jams worthy of blowing minds and dancefloors! Soul'ed Out, UnLtd. airs on special occasions on WCOM, 103.5 FM in Carrboro, NC, streaming online worldwide at www.resoul.org. Music to funk to. Soulicious adventures beyond the multiverse. The beat won't stop 'til you're disco-tized!

This party truly brought the funk. Two solid hours of a funky stew mixed up by three DJ's from the SOUL crew. Both your regular hosts with the most were in the house, and special thanx to our guest DJ Tongue, master of beatbox disaster, and mad spinner of party-starter jointz. Tongue blew up the spot! Continuing the Club Taqueria tradition of minimal talk sets - just station ID's on the hour, to keep the dancefloor sizzling like a refried quesadilla.

Undoubtedly lured by our first-ever YouTube promo video and Old-Time Granny's skillful party promotion efforts in the Nightlight ladies room (or maybe just students coming back to town!), a steady stream of dancers came out to get down (mad props to guests like Imani, Jenny, Brad B., Alexis M., and Candace the disco sommelier). Peeps dug the flickering images on the wall of sight and sound from classics like Liquid Sky and Wild Style, and some tasty beats were served up hot & spicy. You NEED this show in your collection - catch a keeper!

SOUL #4, or Club Taqueria 2: Electric Burrito! More of the maximum disco-funk dancefloor standard we set the nite before with the grand opening of Club Taqueria. Anotha TWO HOURS of funky jammy jams that had folks shakin' their tacos. Like SOUL #3, minimal talk sets - just station ID's on the hour, the better to keep the dancers hot. Download this one back-to-back with #3, and your next ol' skool party just got twice as long.

SOUL #3 clocks in at two hours plus of slamming disco-funk joints! The funkiest wax that's been heating up our turntables all year long. No talk sets, just station ID's on the hour. Download it and you've got an instant old school party. It was the opening night for Club Taqueria, and we didn't even have a red carpet on hand! But there was a wall of sight and sound, and people danced anyway. It was awesome. The whole set was super tight, although Old-Time Granny was sleepy and couldn't make the scene. But she swung through the next nite (Club Taqueria 2: Electric Burrito), and the whole weekend was so much fun we made plans to do it again next Saturday:

SOUL #2 is a special gospel edition that aired the day before Halloween 2010. Lots of deep, soulful message music. Mad props going out to our long-distance virtual guest DJ for the day, C-line from the ATL, who hooked us up with her Top 3 gospel tracks so we could do a C-line countdown!

Since this show was a shorter than usual, one-hour-version of the SOUL experience, maybe we'll do another gospel show sometime. Drop us a line at the worldwide SOUL request line (resoul.org@gmail.com) if you’re in favor of more gospel flavor.
